This is One of the few Honest Mechanics that are still around. He is my go to mechanic when people ask me in where should they take their cars to. Chico is very genuine and went out of his way to help me out with my car issues from time to time. On a side note the gasoline part of the shop is Non- Op.

Not only grew up in SSF, but have taken literally every car I have owned to Chico for anything you can think of from regular maintenance to issues that needed immediate attention. Last vehicle I took to Chico was aHonda Pilot & nothing more than a quick oil change which normally is less than 30 minutes no problem. Before this, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my vehicle and was told by him the time before. Something about this day kept bringing numerous people/customers all while he was working on my vehicle, he was interrupted more than a dozen times all while changing my oil. 20 minutes later he was done, I paid and headed back home. I started to notice not more than a day and a half later that my car was at first slowly leaking some kind of fluid, come to find out after I further inspected it that it was indeed oil. I called and he told me to bring it back in. Well I moved from SSF couple years before this to Concord now was having to bring it all the way back to SSF while it was leaking oil. Took it back and he said ya it leaked all your oil out what happened, I told him nothing except the oil change you just did no more than 2 days ago and I didnt go anywhere cause I seen it was leaking, come to find out he admitted to putting the Completely wrong oil drain plug on my car and my plug on someone elses car, and he just found my plug he said replaced it and filled my oil, well not more than a couple of days later my car completely loss all power as I was driving on the freeway and had to push it up a hill on a public busy street to a near by gas station parking lot in Cordelia by fairfield. Called him again and he told me to bring it back and then tells me my transmission is completely done and it needs to be replaced or rebuilt and it was gonna cost me close to 5 grand. Wouldnt even let me make payments and when i mentioned how all my oil had drained out due to his obvious mishandling and placement of the wrong part and if he could possibly work with me cause this was absolutely at no fault of my own and really he was more than fully responsible for everything that had went wrong right when he put the wrong part on my car after a simple oil change. He basically blew me off and said if he was to start working on my car I woud need to bring him $2,500 cash to start. Unbelievable. Have not been back since and this was a little over a year and some ago.

My go to mechanic shop theres been times Ive been in a pinch and I needed my car done fast he was able to knock it out stage late for hours just to finish it so I can have my car for the next day my whole family comes here to have there vehicle service Chico is amazing he has great prices fast service very reputable definitely recommend bringing your vehicle to him

Hes made my commute a living hell I have no respect for this type of MECHANIC. He held onto my car for a month and still didnt fix what I asked him too. He fixed one of the 3 issues with my car. Then his price sky rocketed from the original quote. Hope this helps anyone thinking about taking your car to chico. He picks and chooses his victims dont let it happen too you.

How can everyone like Chico?! Yes, I know California has high prices, but Chico decides that regular for $5.03 is a good idea. The CA average is around $2.80.

Pricey! Located right next to rental places. There are better deals a few blocks away. Even Shell is cheaper.
