I was in Plum Hollow today to purchase a couple of items from the deli area. The person who waited on me had a mask on, under his nose. I asked him more than once to please put his mask on over his nose. He told me he has been vaccinated. But vaccinated people can still contract Covid and they can carry the disease. It seemed like such a simple request to put the CUSTOMERs concern ahead of his own desire. Then he said his mask just keeps slipping down. And I said, then put it back when it slips down. (Better yet, maybe its time for a new mask I thought to myself) I should have left the items and walked out and never look back. But I didnt. I decided to speak with the manager (owner or so I was told). When I explained what happened. His comment was, Yeah, we are doing the best we can. Its difficult to know what the guidelines are. Their best is to allow employees to improperly wear a face mask?What is the point of having a mask on at all if you are not going to wear it correctly?How about setting a store policy, and employees who dont follow the store policy dont work. How about the customer is right and employees must make us comfortable at least while they are waiting on us. Pretend that customers matter. Act like you want us to shop with you and not take our money somewhere else. Well, that didnt happen today so Plum Hollow is not a place I will be spending my money any longer.We dont get better because we dont demand better.

Choice select meats seafood. Also sell grocery items. Isles are small and narrow. Dont forget your mask

Love their selection of meat! Turkey ribs are delicious 😋 Ive told a lot of friends to stop by and look for turkey chops, duck, turkey ribs, etc. Deli is on point, too.

My intentions are to grab only a few needed items and get out. For some reason that never happens because theres so many great items in there. I always end up buying way more than planned LOL. Wanted to spend about $40 tops, came out after paying $90 LOL. In fact I just turned my wife on to this awesome store too, she loved it as well. Did I mention I love their staff too?!

My go to spot for beef ribs and seafood.

Great variety in their deli section considering its a small neighborhood market. They also have a fresh produce section which everything looks hand picked and neatly displayed. I have to say that for a small neighborhood market the quality and freshness of their products are unbelievable. Their prices are somewhat higher than your popular supermarkets but when you dont have the time or availability to shop at a moments notice, its theyre there.

I randomly came to this store and found some huge lobster tails and marinated lamb chops that were great. Plan to make more trips to this store.

This place always has the most amazing produce, snacks, desserts and a variety of ingredients that remind my friend of the delectable oriental meals she tasted on her last missions trip. If you catch them on the right day, you might even see a fresh catch of blue crab.

Several times a year this meat market has a seafood sale. Their meats and seafood are wonderful. Today I got the smoked salmon dip, crab dip, and stuffed salmon with lobster or crab. I also love their crab or lobster mac and cheese. Long time market in Southfield and knowledgeable and friendly staff, always ready to help with cooking advice.

Fresh meat reasonabley priced two fine black polite and helpful men working in the meat department what more do you want.

I have shopped at this market for decades and they never disappoint. I’ve purchased everything from Holiday meals to lunch meat. The employees are friendly and very helpful. If you haven’t shopped there, you should really give them a try!

Forget bacon on your burger. How bout in it? The butcher ground one pound of slab bacon into into three pounds of ground chuck just for me.An upscale, small-sized neighborhood grocery (corner of 9 Mile and Lahser). Its small front-print has a fully stocked meat & deli counter with(3 butchers. A great choice salads and desserts. oh . almost forget to tell you that they have liquor. I am in love.

Dont ever buy the peach cobbler from this place, I just bought some and it was 95% dough only 5% baby peaches. I just call Plum Hollow to let them know, not to fuss about it and they hung up on me, they didnt want to hear it.

Too overpriced for the merchandise wouldnt shop here EVER AGAIN! I think they may be price gauging!

Excellent service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Employees are very knowledgable about their wide selection of items, and will go the extra mile to make sure youre satisfied with your shopping experience. Theyre also a bit old school, which makes shopping there a unique experience. They can also special order items for you if its something they dont have in stock.

For a small market they are packed full of goodies!!! I can see that their main draw is the meat counter. Which has a really nice selection of food. And their signature made sausages are really really good too!!!

I luv this place, an old fashioned grocery store with an actual butcher and many other items not at Kroger or Meijer!

I have Loved shopping at Plum Hollow for 20+ years. Be it for a special order cut of meat like a beef tenderloin or just to ensure they had Capons for my holiday dinner. I am currently giving a shoutout for the Crab meat filled mushroom caps that are fantastic !

In the midst of the pandemic the doors are still open and stocked with produce, meat, canned goods and all. I love this place.

Very convenient but overpriced. I noticed that a lot of their items didnt even have a price on them. You wouldnt know how much it was until you got to the register. On a positive note, the meat and seafood section were very reasonable and had some great deals.

Great place for steaks and accompanying foods. Its similar to any given market in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Small, but has everything.Like a good bartender, whenever I walk in, the butcher knows what I want, but asks anyway.The owner seems to genuinely care.

Excellent place to do your meat and seafood purchases. Very large selection of house made sausage. Fresh meat and seafood selections are price comparable to large grocery stores but much much better quality. Good selection of frozen seafoods, better than regular grocery store chains. Some Amish selections available (butter, bacon, chicken, etc). Also have a nice size section of craft beers. They recently started a section ready cooked hot meals to go.I try to do as much of my familys weekly meat shopping as possible here and have recommended it to family and friends. My family have come to prefer our meat and seafood from Plum Hollow in the 3.5 years I have been shopping there. I have gotten to know many of the regular employees through out the store over the years and have always found them friendly, knowledgeable, extra helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help find items I could not locate, or place orders for hard to find items or large orders. All of my children enjoy the ice cream parlor around the corner of the main store when it is open in the summer. As well as recommending shopping here I also recommend signing up for their emails to receive post of excellent weekly specials and checking val pac for coupons.

A great little shop with an amazing variety of homemade sausages (including a wide variety of turkey brats!) and an incredibly helpful staff behind the meat counter. Great selection of lunchmeats and fish. A highlight is the maple salmon--its almost like dessert!

Close and convenient in the neighborhood, great place to go for fresh meat butcher shop quality. Everything else You should check the date. So its basically for their fresh cut meats and seafood.

Great little fish market with a personal added touch. They have the best fresh fish & seafood numerous selections of fish and seafood at a reasonable price. They also have a variety of handmade sausages and the best seafood crab salads.

So much stuff there, alot of niche, different, and great products sold here. If I cant find it in a big chain store like Wal-Mart or Meijers, I can find it here. By the way, I love how vintage this place looks. Dont know what it is, but I love the atmosphere here and its something you dont get at a big chain store.
