Always helpful, greeted at the door, great suggestions from experience, and always helpful in solving any problems I had with my pool. Quality products, and the pool they sold me (Smoky Point Oval) is now I’m my 26th. Season with original liner, pump, and filter! I kid you not. I still have the receipt and brochure of my pool. Thanks Gary, you run a good team!
Great place, has everything for your hot tubs, swimming pools.
Needed liquid chlorine. They had a pallet of the chlorine outside. Bought six cases. Paid and went home. The employee at the counter was nice and offered to load. No complaints by me.
The PoolTown in Southgate has repeatedly given me extremely good service. Gary The GOAT Ballard has an exceptional crew that never leaves a customer unsatisfied. To mention a few, Ryan, Bass, Erik, & Meghan make going to PoolTown such an enjoyable experience. I have seen first hand some customers, AKA Karens, who are so unreasonably rude to this all star crew and they always say the right things to make sure that the customer is satisfied with their experience. Let them help you get your pool right the PoolTown way!
The hard working young man Matthew is a great salesman/hard worker. As for the rest of the staff they are great as well. Every time they offer to load the heavy cases of chlorine for me as well as point me in the right direction for any of my pools needs. They blow away the competition with their low prices and great service. Southgate pool town located on eureka and fordline is the best pool town of them all and I will never goto another pool store again.
What an outstanding experience we had today. These guys really know there stuff. Gary the Manager and Ryan really took care of us.
Loved this place.Had all your pool and spa needs.Nice workers.Just nice place and workers. LOVED IT.
They were nice to their costumers.
Great place to get your pool supplies.
Great selection of pool products and great workers
Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Gary was very helpful. Used a recommended installer and had the pool installed. We are ready for 2021.
Excellent place to go for pools and pool supplies wonderful customer service!
Good guys
Have visited here several times to keep my pool in best condition. Folks are friendly and knowledgeable.
Wont be getting any of my business.
There good, they give you hood information!
Amazing store and staff. If you live in the Downriver area, dont go anywhere else. Read the reviews, folks. There are only 2 one-star reviews here, and you dont need to be Hemingway to read their reviews and tell they were written by the type of entitled obnoxious customers that everybody hates. Its evident, in all the other reviews, that Pool Town values its customers and delivers service at a high level. Dont let the dregs of society make your decision for you. Personally, Im not eating out of a dumpster because Handout Harriet didnt get her free Bloomin Onion at Outback and decided to leave a bad review. A pool is an investment. Do it right. Go with the team that knows the best because they sell the best, period.
Very friendly and helpful employees. All customers and employees adhered to the 6 feet distance and wearing face mask.
So nice to go into this store and find friendly and knowledgeable staff! Prices are competitive and they have a good selection. If they dont have an item, they will direct where to try and locate it. Our first choice to shop for our pool supplies.
Gary, helped us make the right choice! When I ordered my new spa cover, he made it very easy to pick out colors, purchase the correct cover and sent pics to make sure I ordered all the RIGHT stuff!!!! This was all done over the phone mind you!!! Thank you so much for making this easy and convenient!
I recently purchased a pool from this store. The customer service was excellent. Gary went over every detail of my purchase with me. I got a great pool at a great price. I would highly reccommend this store to anyone looking for a new pool.
The young lady was helpful ordered the part that I need it
All I can say is WOW!! It was great having some one that is very knowledgeable in pools to come and close my pool for me. Joe, you are awesome. I will definitely be scheduling an appointment with you to open my pool next season and to do the repairs and maintenance we discussed.Thank you..
Buyer Beware: a manufacturers one year parts and labor warranty wont be honored like you expect it will. We purchased a Dreammaker Spa at the Novi Pool & Spa Show in winter 2019, taking delivery of the hot tub in late March. We specifically asked about product warranty and were told the spa had a one year parts and labor, plus an additional 4 years (5 total) on certain components (such as the exterior shell).Fast forward to this week, when we identify noticeable defects in the lighting. Since we are still under warranty, we call and set up a service appointment. The tech arrives, makes the repair (an entire strand of lights were found to be faulty and required replacement), and tells us that while the parts and labor are covered under warranty we are subject to a $90 Service Trip Fee. Say what? When I questioned the obscure charge, according to Pooltown a Service Trip Fee applies to any service required after the first 90 days. Thats right fellow buyers, youre going to be out of pocket for ANY issues you experience....even if covered under warranty....after the first 3 months. And just to be clear, parts and labor are covered by the manufacturer (supposedly) so this $90 fee covers......the techs commute to and from? Thats a whopping 1.7 miles/6 minutes from their location to our home each way [thats $26 per mile if it just goes toward the commute]. Im obviously in the wrong business.I emailed the sales person from whom we purchased the spa, and he tells me that this little nugget of information (the Service Trip Fee applicable after only 90 days, despite the 1 year of stated coverage), which was NOT disclosed during the sale, is stated in the warranty paperwork that came with the spa. Oh, well how nifty.....wait until after its paid for and delivered and THEN let us know. This is simply poor customer service all the way around. A business is only as good as how they perform in the worst of circumstances, and Pooltown has absolutely let us down. We will be certain to take future business elsewhere (and make sure our friends do the same).
I purchased an inflatable Coleman SaluSpa on Amazon, but had no idea how to keep it clean, chlorinated, etc. I went to Pool Town, and was given a complete rundown on the best products to use and how to test and maintain the chemical levels... I had all of my questions answered from a very professional, helpful staff member. Plus the supplies I purchased were significantly cheaper than Meijer. My family has been going to Pool Town for years... Great prices, great service!
Bought a portable hot tub and didnt know what i needed for it went to another pool place only to be told I needed about 90 dollars worth of stuff I left snd went to pooltown and was sold 20 dollars worth of products to maintain my hot tub. Thanks so much
Incredibly helpful and patient staff. I had no idea what I was doing and they walked me through everything and set me up with what I actually needed with no trying to up sale.
Helpful and knowledgeable. Easy to deal with!
Great service great prices
Came in looking for a simple blow up pool pump and they had plenty in stock for me to choose from. I dont own a pool, but man o man these guys look like they have anything you could ever want for a pool setup at home.
We purchased our oval doughboy pool a little over 2 years ago from the Southgate store. The pricing was good, the sales staff was great to deal with and have been helpful with simple questions and difficult. The installers took about 3 weeks for install, but they always kept great communication and did a great job with install and clean up. I cant enough about the team . Excellent work and if I need another pool you will be our first stop!
The worst experience ever sitting in the store waiting for help. no knowledge on what the products are they have in the store, three people running around trying to take care of five other people. They start with you take your money put you aside. This is after you spend $4000!!!
The manager Gary is always super helpful and very knowledgeable as will as the rest of the staff at this location.
All i have to say is wow ...........Awesome staff they know every thing I needed to know love this place has affordable prices
