I called in December 2020 service call with fireplace (pilot light not working)I was charged $125 for a 15 min service call to tell me I needed new valve and insert. I called someone else for second opinion -pilot light needed cleaning, works fine now $40 for this service call. I made them aware of this and requested a refund! Havent heard anything - it is now mid February 2021. Highly DO NOT recommend this place!!!!
So rude. Words can’t describe how it feels to spend $400 ask in the morning then call and ask ONE question and get hung up on. Extremely rude. Save your money for a business who deserves it!
Ordered a new 18” fireplace insert for my home (early Nov.) and the unit came in 2 weeks, which was great. Go to install and it does not fit, it appears they ordered a 22” unit and it DOES NOT FIT!! When I told them it doesn’t fit they ordered the 18” (like they should have the 1st time). After 3 weeks of no response, they finally called the factory and told me the 18” is now going to take 2 months to come in. So now I will have gone a total of 3 months without a fireplace and the new one should be in mid January...Very frustrated in the timeliness and urgency taken. Most times no one answers the phone and it does not seem like they provide much urgency on issues...
The Fireside Shoppe did a wonderful job upgrading our old builder box with a high quality, energy efficient gas insert. They also installed a new granite surround. The second day after the install, we had an issue with the control module on our unit not responding to the remote (which was very unusual), and the Fireside Shoppe sent out a technician to inspect and resolve the same day. The unit is covered by a 2-year parts and labor warranty, and we were very happy with the speed and sense of urgency in addressing the one issue we had.
Called to inquire about a fireplace that we had bought online to be installed. The employee or owner that I spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of explaining their policy and obligations to me respectively, he wanted to lecture me on being a business owner. Definitely not the right way to approach a situation with a potential customer.

Very Rude AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE THEY CHARGE 50 DOLLARS JUST TO LOOK AT SOMETHING AND DOESNT GO TOWARDS IF IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED BUT THEY DONT TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU CALL IT SHOULD BE CHECK IT OUT AND IF IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED THEN PAY FOR IT NOT BEFORE ITS FIXED!

Despite the single other review about the Fireside Shoppe, this is a family owned establishment ran by a very knowledgeable family. After speaking with any of the owners/employees, even just a brief conversation, you will understand that fireplaces, fireplace inserts as well as installation and maintaining them is their main priority.It became more than clear in my previous visit that this company is much more than just their job. They absolutely love every aspect of their product and will would not even consider advertising, let alone selling a product that they wouldn’t install in their own home or the home of a loved one.It is very much a mom and pop shop with an atmosphere resembling a multimillion dollar showroom- which in my opinion is highly unique.Obviously the most important thing to consider is this: Should I/you purchase their products and should you trust them to properly install a potentially hazardous machine in your home?My answer to this question is: YES, 100% I would trust them and will personally be receiving service from them in the next 2-3 days.

Owner was nice when I was spending money. But the next day when I came back because what I bought didnt work the owner was rude about the refund. Told me to make it work and dont come back. Workers were nice, owner was a jerk.

Bought extra 10 ft of pipe for fireplace insert . Asked for connecting hardware to join 2 pipes together. A worker there told me to use duct tape. Really? Like that would work, and he said they do it so there you go. Guess thats what I get for going into the city.
