My car broke down and I put in a request for towing to my insurance company about 5:45. I got a text saying arrival would be 90-105 minutes. After 2 hours gota text saying arrival 26 minutes. Well I waited until after 8 and called and was told that they were helping with an accident and it would be another 30-45 minutes. Again I waited another hour and NOTHING!! So I called back and told them I would find someone else.

The driver himself was very friendly, However 239$ to move my car LESS than 5 miles is absolutely absurd. Definitely not how you handle business.

My daughter was in and accident so the highway patrol called them to pick up her car. Just got the car back from the body shop and noticed there is a dent in the front bumper that was not there when they picked it up. The body shop said it was there when they got it from the towing company. I had my insurance company look at the pictures that the adjuster took of the car when they went to see it at the towing company and theyre was in fact a dent in the pictues. so now I know the towing company put the dent in it. I have reached out to them several times to discuss this matter and I am still waiting for the manager to call me back. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT use this towing company if you value your stuff.

This service is not good, I called them at 12:00pm they told me it’s a two hour wait, I’ve waited until 5:00pm and then they told me another 45 min and then they never came. I advise no one to do business with reds.

The driver showed up and checked area before hand. The area was soft from rain. He was very friendly and courteous. Although my 1998 s10 truck is old he did not wish to scratch it. He dropped truck off and was on his way.

Waited just shy of 3 hours on the side of the road after being the first time theyd be out in 60-75 min and after not showing they gave another ETA of 45 min... still no show. Called them and they said they was behind 30+ jobs and they get to me soon. Wouldnt recommend this company to anyone!

Had vehicle towed to Reds on Sun., Jan 26. Went today Jan.27 to retrieve personal property. Office Manager Josie was extremely helpful. Helped me remove items from vehicle and load in my car, in fact went above and beyond assisting me, driver door would not open, Josie got on belly across both seats to retrieve item from floor. Do not use Reds Wrecker Service.We are full-time RVers and had a mechanical breakdown in Spartanburg County. Our roadside assistance service contracted with Reds to tow us to a repair shop. Reds knew the size and weight of our RV prior to accepting the job. After accepting the job, a Reds driver called and we again discussed our size and weight. The driver said he would arrive in 50 minutes. 75 minutes later the driver called back and said the owner of Reds decided our RV was too large for their equipment.Why did Reds have us sit for an hour and fifteen minutes and then decide they could not handle our RV?In our opinion, Reds fits the definition of unprofessional. The owner must have zero communication skills. Clearly, Reds doesnt care about stranded motorists.Call anybody except Reds.

Opie Cotner, who works here, is a scam artist. I would never use a towing service who had him as an employee and I suggest you don’t either. In this business you need to trust who you’re dealing with and you shouldn’t trust this man or this company he is employed with!

This is hands down the ABSOLUTE WORST towing company I’ve ever used. I used them through emergency roadside through State Farm. Which I’ll be calling State Farm about. He said he would be there in exactly 23 minutes, when the time came around. We called him and he refused to pick up his phone. We waited 50 minutes in the pitch black dark on the side of the freeway before he sent us another TEXT saying he was 15 minutes away. He was late again! And when he finally showed up you could tell he was OBVIOUSLY smoking meth. This is the DEFINITION of unprofessional. He deserves a negative five.

My daughters insurance dispatched this towing service to her because she was stuck on the interstate in the cold, she was told 3 difference times that they were 30 minutes away. We ended up having to drive back home 45 minutes away to get my husbands truck and trailer and tow the car ourselves. They are getting one star because its the lowest I can go. I will be calling insurance company to suggest NOT using this towing service.

My insurance company dispatched Reds out to fix my flat tire. They arrived ahead of the ETA and was cordial. Asked if we had any questions and was finished in no time. I appreciate the help on this hot day!

I had a flat tire around Cherrydale at 10:30 pm, I was parked in the middle of a median waiting for my mom to get there. My insurance company has 24 hour roadside assistance and they called this wrecker service to come tow my car or change my tire if they were able to. At around 11:30 pm, we could see them on a tracking thing and they were right behind us. And then the tow truck turns around! We call the wrecker service to see what’s going on and the lady said that the driver was almost there. We keep checking the map and the truck just keeps getting farther away until it shows that they’re in Cowpens. We call our roadside assistance again to see what’s going on since it was 12:30 am. They call to see what the hold up is and the lady states that the truck had an emergency call and they were sending a different that would be there in 30 minutes. So here it is 1 am and my dad has gotten off of work and he is having to change my tire since they have yet to show. So we have been waiting in a median (which seems like an emergency to me) for 2 and a half hours and still nothing. So chances are he’s going to finish changing it before they even get here. Stay away, do not trust this company.

Stay away. Horrible to work with. Very bad customer service very combative and horrible attitudes. After having a lot of difficulty with them my insurance company sent out somebody else.Spartan transport and towing came out they were fast easy to work with and very caring. If I could put less than one star I would.

Great communication and effort on their part too get there as quickly as possible since I was in rural North Carolina and they were driving from Spartanburg. Mike, the driver, could not have been more efficient, kind, and reassuring. He insisted on dropping me at home before taking my car on to the auto repair shop.It looks like most of the bad reviews are older; the latest ones are 5 star. I highly recommend them!

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. My insurance used them...I was wary reading reviews, but turned out just fine. My tower was great - friendly, called to let me know when he was coming, got the job done. Easy.

I feel so bad for the driver who helped us. He had serious personal problems. A black gentleman(not), very bad language, disrespectful, started videoing when i asked simple normal questions, saying i thought i was better than him. I told him i was not against him but he kept getting more irate. He kept talking about what “mom did/said to him when she used to get drunk”. Maybe one day you will find piece sir, until then, i hope i never have to deal with geico’s poor choice of towing services with this company.

If I could give a negative review I would. Tried picking up a vehicle for 2 days and was told they were closed. Cost me another 3 days of storage. Place is a rip off. Find you another towing company to use

Being stuck on the side of a highway is never a good experience so I understand some reviews. However, my experience was Reds was very positive. I was treated with great respect and calmed down by the Driver (Calvin) when I was feeling great stress.Could not have been more pleased with how Reds handled my situation.

Called for a tow truck and was it was covered since I have full coverage. However I was told it would be about an hour until they arrived but I was only 30 minutes from the towing place. After an hour they still had not arrived. Obviously I was already upset from being stranded and then the fact that it was almost 100°F outside. They finally arrived after about 2 HOURS LATER. definitely do not recommend.

My insurance roadside assistance set me up with this company when I had a flat on the side of the interstate. The dispatcher sounded rushed but very nice and when the driver called he also seemed to professional as well. HOWEVER, later I received a call from the driver asking where the key was, and I told him. I then received a call from my insurance company notifying me that my pickup had been completed. About 20 mins later, I got a call from the dispatcher telling me that the driver was not going to pick up the car because it looked like someone else had already tried to pickup the car and had damaged the front of the car. I was then instructed that I needed to come out to the car and sign a form releasing them from any liability of damage before they would hook my car. After canceling their service, I went to the car and noticed that it had in fact been damaged. I have experience towing myself and it was plain to see that the driver had hooked the car with a wheel lift, attempted to tow away, and the car slipped off the hook as it hit the rumble strips, rolling the front bumper up into the grill, crushing the radiator and grill. Then called me with the story that someone else must have come to tow it and caused the damage. Why would someone come to tow a car without authorization, yeah, they wouldnt. I have the troopers name who tagged the vehicle and will be in touch to see if the car was damaged and dragged from the shoulder as I found it. Buyer be ware and request a different service if using roadside assistance.

State Farm called them to pick up my Van after I was in an accident on I385 in greenville. I was told an hour wait. After the hour wait was up I get an automated computer call asking me to rate the service survey. I called back to State Farm and they tell me Red’s Wrecker Service reported to them they completed the task and will receive payment when they never showed up to get the Van from the side of the interstate. No wonder their reviews on google and yelp are so horrible.

I WILL BE CALLING YOUR COMPANY. One gentlemen stated that he had only just recently started this job (4 days ago from today) and obviously no prior experience. The other gentleman in the truck was kicked back relaxing while the other guy does all the work. I AM VERY UPSET. As for the toppings.... when they arrived they got stuck in our ditch, and heres the cherry... When they released my car off the truck it rolled into my friends car while the employee was in my car. He proceeded to come out in distress saying Please tell me I didnt hit your car. While my friend is using his light to check for damage the employee starts rubbing off any visible paint saying nothing was wrong. Although damage is miniscule there is still damage.

My car broke down at around 3:00am. Called State Farm they scheduled a tow from Reds at 3:30am i got a text stating that Reds would show within the hour. At 4:30am still no show. Called the towing service they kept stating The driver is 15 minutes away Checked in with them periodically from 4:30am to 6:30am when they finally showed up. 3 hour wait, will not recommend them to anyone and will actively discourage anyone from using them if i can.

I went to their office on Garner Road on November 24, 2015 and asked them if they could tow my sons car to the automotive service place that day and they promised me that they would do that. I called the automotive place that afternoon and later that afternoon and then again right before quitting time and they said it was not there yet.In the meantime I had been calling Reds and they kept telling me that it was being delivered right then, each time I called that day they said it was on the way. I called the next day and they said yes there was a mix up but it would be delivered by noon.I told them it was very important because my son would be working over the Thanksgiving Holiday and would need his car and they assured me they would take care of it.The car final arrived at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. the automotive place was getting ready to close for the Thanksgiving holiday and would not be back until Monday. That ruined everyones plans. my son had to use my car and so I was not able to visit my new grandson on Thanksgiving Day.I have called every day since then, more than once every day, and nobody will call me back. it is now December 1, 2015 and I have asked for some kind of a refund because they did not deliver like they promised and no one will call me back. I am so frustrated and I plan to report them to the BBB and whatever I can do to let everyone know.......

Wow, Called Farm Bureau yesterday to have vehicle towed. They in turn subcontracted it out to Reds. I talked to the tow driver while he was in the parking lot to get my vehicle and made sure my garage would still be open.I called my garage today to ask how it was going and found they had never received it. The driver supposedly towed it to 3 different shops without my permission even though the driver had my telephone number, and now says that the garage was closed.My garage says that this company frequently does this and is very unethical. Many times there has been things stolen by the drivers.I called Farm Bureau insurance and they are having it towed to the correct company at their expense, or at least are taking up the fight with the towing company themselves.I will be sending a formal complaint to my insurance company asking them to drop Reds towing.And by the way, the little lady who is the owner, or at least married to the owner of the towing company, is very nice, but refused to tow it where I requested. She said a second tow to the correct garage would be at my expense.

Worst experience of my life with this tow company. Had my own tow service from my insurance company trying to get the vehicle when Reds employee would not stop trying to take my car after multiple times of being told that they didnt have my consent and to release the car. It wasnt even on the truck when I told them the service has been cancelled! Then would not provide an invoice for my insurances tow company to take it to the body shop. So they could increase the bill! Very rude staff, terribly rude drivers. Do not go here.

Had they actually shown up they would have been 2 hours late!! I had to get another provider because an hour after they should have gotten to my location they had just left and would be at least another hour. Very rude and unprofessional would NEVER use them!

Dont waste your time calling them, they will leave you stranded. I arranged for roadside assistance through my insurance company at 10:45 AM. Reds said they would be here at 11:45 AM. I have been calling just about once an hour, and they are always sorry, we had to take another call. It is now 4 PM and they just called to say they arent going to make it. If you need help, dont call them.

Fast and quick service, very friendly

I reserved a U-Haul and this was my pickup location. I called a day in advance to let them know that I would be there between 11:30 and 12:00 to pick up my U-Haul and was told that was fine. When I arrived at 11:45, I was informed that the person in charge of U-Hauls was not there and would not be back for another 45 minutes. The lady that we spoke to was not friendly or helpful. She completely ignored me when I returned. When the person arrived to reserve my U-Haul, she informed me that she is never told when people call about their pickups. I was very disappointed in my experience here.

I was stuck out of town and had a dead battery. The guy jumped my car off and followed me to Advance Auto to make sure I got there safe..

I find it rather funny one of the owners of this company has to get on here and give the service five stars. I agree with nearly all of the reviews on here.The owners in particular are total scum who rip of their customers and employees alike. They are rude and very hostile when they owe money to someone and avoid paying them until taken to court. People like these are scum of the earth.

The German lady who works (possibly one of owners) there is rude and incredibly disrespectful to customers; ...everyone has a hard life, leave us alone, dont bug us this is a quote from her that she said to me when I told her to stop judging another customer to me - and due to limited space I cannot go into detail of all the things she said to me about another customer Additionally, she advised me that my card would not be charged until the trailer was returned, while charging my card at the time of pick up would have been fine, the car trailer they had there was defective and would not fit a standard hitch - we went to a different Uhaul in Duncan and the trailer fit fine. I spoke with Uhaul Corporate and the charge was indeed on my card from Reds - and corporate Uhaul removed it.If you want to be disrespected, talked about to other customers and provided with sub par equipment, then go to Reds, they will hook you up.

Worst services. Wont return calls or pick up when scheduled a pick up 3 hours sitting on the side of a road, i had to call the company through my insurance cause they kept hanging up the phone.
