The Walmart in Spencer, IA is amazing. Clean, neat and tidy and had everything we needed. Thank you much!! Also employees were kind, and helpful. That last seems to get to be less and less at each store you go to, but not this Walmart. Was definitely a great experience!!

Wont shop here again. I can shop online, find what Im looking for and quicker than wandering the store looking. If I have to check myself out Ill do that online and theyll ship right to my door. Beats taking it to my car and then lugging it into my house. This new no assistance in person shopping experience isnt for me. Oh and the $20 bill, $2 in quarters and 3 nickels for my change was laughable!

Really bad customer service, had to return anag of oranges that was so bad the were oozing, I had been in a hurry when I bought them. Went back over twenty mile to exchange them and all but three bags were in same condition, I went to find a produce worker, his attitude from the get go was discussing, he was slamming things down,and was going to leave the rotten bags there. When I said he should remove them he acted like it was a bother. They got coach Mark who kept apologizing, I said I would like the guy who had treated me badly to apologize,Mark refused. Coach of what bad attitudes and manners? Cant stand this place!!!!!

Best shopping place near me. People are very friendly, employees are helpful, friendly, and very delightful to be around.

Been shopping online and using grocery pick-up since Walmart started offering the service here in Spencer. Friendly staff. Great grocery pickup experiences most of the time. Items in stock more than at other stores. Then when you get smashed buns or loaves of bread bags with a slash in the bag, but they took care of us. 4 stars because buns and bread should not be smashed when loaded into customers vehicles.

Got the oil changed in wifes sub. Very curtious and helpful. Got it done quickly.

Atlantic, Iowa is the Best kept secret in Iowa. It is a fabulous town with 2-18 hole golf courses and all the other amenities one could ask for. You see 9 or 10 different county license plates in the Atlantic super Walmart at any given time.

I was very annoyed by the associate who helped me with my online pickup. I had never been to this store before so I had no idea on where to go. Another associate took me to the kiosk at the back of the store where I waited. The person who came out to help me was extremely rude and mentioned that I was in the wrong place. I mentioned that I was sorry but I had never done this before and I never had even been to this store. She was still rude until she gave me my item I purchased and I walked off.

Corporate Walmart has its shady business practices, but local personnel are hard working. Good people who are just trying to make ends meet.The selection of course is almost mind numbing. Prices that close local stores and small businesses. God bless you and yours.

Walmart started as a simple family market by Mr Walton, whome few of us had the honor of meeting throughout the years. He paved the way with integrity, respect, and honesty. He believed that each customer should he treated like family and each experience be one to leave a smile. However after working for the company for almost 7 years i have to say this store would have him furious.Even before the renovations. This store has been mishandled. Stocking and overstocking to the point were products are hidden, the sheet disrespect and laziness of the staff, the irresponsible behavior leading to almost entirely automated self checkouts, these pale in comparison to the amount of failure in both employee and management to keep this store running smoothly.I have yet to see one person handle the satisfactory customer service experience properly. We should not have to hunt down employees to assist us. They should be ready to do so on there own with a smile. Not hide away and keep silent.If i could write a review with 0 stars i would.

Some associates are very helpful, however most are not. The shelves are a mess. Found food that needs to be refrigerated in non food areas of the store. Most of the associates remind me of the walking dead. This the worst Wal-mart Ive been in! Ive been to Des Moines, Kansas City, Omaha metro areas, Spencer, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake,, Denison, Ankeny, Ames, Maryville MO, Council Bluffs Wal-marts. The difference is strikingly noticeable, mostly with the staff. When comparing Carroll Wal-mart to other businesses in Carroll its even worse. This on management! Whatever happened to customer service? Instead of a positive experience most people I know in the area dread going to Carroll Wal-mart.

The self checkout is a nice option, but when I have lots of items, I would prefer for someone else to scan me. Im not being paid to scan my own items.

Well, I have to admit Im getting used to my shopping trips mostly self powered. Now that we have self-checkout self serve.....etc, for the most part the Walmart I shop at the experience it was great. I got what I needed and got out. They had everything, so it was quick and pain tolerable price wise.

It was very nice and clean staff where very nice. Only complaint is check-outs. No one was available had to use self check-out. I mean because Im not used of.

Less and less....As I shopped here today, I found that 4 out of the 6 items I wanted to purchase, are no longer carried...even ran across another couple looking for items, and didnt like how little selection they had to choose from.

I dont like having to check myself out, I will pay more at hyvee or faraway to have a real person cash me out.

Waited 10-mins for ammo.., crickets! I pushed the button & asked an associate and then finished shopping and left. Know theyre short-handed... Still stinks

Moving things around I get it. Check myself out. Sure thatd be fine with a few items. 300$ worth of things to check out on a Little self check out rack. Im out. Hope they like their new upgrades. Funniest part is. All self check outs and there are more people at the registers. Bye bye Wal-Mart.

Newly remodeled. All self-checkouts. Masks optional. About 50% of customers had them on. Very nice experience.

Got to love Walmart. They keep it clean and staffed well. Would give it 5 stars but they would need to add more manned checkout lanes.

All but one cashier lane has been removed. All but a single kiosk was card only. Had to stand in line for 12 minutes waiting for that single cash register to check myself out on while 3 employees stood by a employee cash register and watched.

Had a great employee named Gustavo help me get a dining set to my vehicle. He was so funny and helpful! This man deserves a raise!

Staff in the produce department are always grumpy and not friendly.

This is THE ABSOLUTE worst store Ive ever been to. The people are rude and unfriendly. More often than not the shelves are empty.

Pathetic. If you are elderly or disabled be prepared to figure out how to self check-out. 6-8 round a bouts! Not one clerk. If you have a produce that needs weighed, miraculously 5 minutes later...a clerk will appear to push the magic buttons. Peace ✌ out Wal-Mart. I will drive the distance to Target or order elsewhere online. No business from me ...ever again.

Tornado sirens went off, in a courtesy manner, Walmart employees had us all in a safe place, offered us drinks and snacks, until the coast was clear.

They r getting horrible at customer service counter half the time the ppl behind the counter cant cash checks or send money they mite wanna just get rid of them as services if they cant handle doing it

Our Walmart is pretty good here! They also take orders for groceries for people Dont like the self Check outs! Alot of people tell me that!! I have started to go back to Fairway more now because there smaller for the most part they keep stuff in the same place! Great Meat counter! And staff is friendly and slot of them have been there a long time.

I HATE the new look of the stores. If I wanted to shop, check myself out, bag and carry our my own items which has not beenWalmart price wise, I should be hired part-time by WalMart.

I had a lot of questions about the Google Hub and the nest mini. The guy and gal I talked with were very informative on how they worked together. Im not electronic savvy and both of them made it sound like it would be pretty easy to get both hooked up so theyll worked together to meet my needs. They also informed me if I was having issues hooking them up they told me were to go on the internet to find more information if needed.Thanks a bunch to the team in the electronics department.

Spirit Lake, Ia Walmart is a very good store, even with the remodeling going on. Shelves are as stocked as they can be. The personnel wear masks, as all are required to wear. Arrows are off the floors and shoppers are generally polite. The management is quick to respond to customer needs.

Ive purchased 3 electronic products within the last 3 months. A computer (crashed after one month) a phone (crashed the first day, wouldnt refund/trade) and now a moon nightlight for my kids. Worked great for a week, now it only does one color and no way to fix it. HIGHLY dont recommend any electronic purchases.

They didnt have hardly anything on the shelves, and they didnt have any regular check out lanes open

Nice store and lots of different products. Good prices. Only gave 4 star because large boxes used for display took up space and limited glove and hat selection.

4 times in a row no one to help in garden center. Dont like that you have to go thru check out to leave even if you dont buy anything otherwise alarm goes off.

They have been doing a total store remodel. So its a little more difficult to find things. But the employees are always nice and willing to help

No check out lanes open. Had over $200.00 groceries. Pleasant worker. Stocking shelf. People lined up to check out.

All this location has is self checkout. I dont work there I should at least have the chance to get a cashier but thats why I dont shop at this store anymore

Used the grocery pickup for the first time and it was so quick and easy. The folks loading them were quick and friendly.

They replaced all the workers upfront that’s scan you so you can leave with self check outs

Busy. Not a lot of check out lanes open, though better than some days. Heaven help you if you need something like cat food. Very poorly maintained and stocked.

Shelves were hardly stocked and no registers were open. We should get a discount when we have to bag our own groceries and check ourselves out. This is why I have stopped going there unless I have to.

Automotive department requires appointment, all self checkout except one cash register. Cash services accept debit card.
