I had my truck towed to the shop Friday and barley missed the shop hours. I was just going to park it there and come back Monday but this gentlemen Bobby came out and told me to not worry that he would do the service on the truck and have me going then and there. He was extremely helpful and provided excellent service! Also, Ana, another worker there, was just as helpful on the computer answering some questions that I had. I think in general a lot of people dont really like to come here to do the services or whatever but it definitely makes it a lot better when you have great people helping you out!
Im confused as to why all their cars are there but nobody answered when I knocked on the door. Its a non holiday Monday. Theres been several instances Ive had to drive 10 miles out of my way to the valley location (who always takes care of me) just to get my monthly service so I dont lock out. Because this location seems to always have issues.
Maaaan! These guys and gal here at smart start on Market St. have TOTALLY blown me away by their hospitality, swift instalation and thoroughness! I was guided step by step and left with absolutely NO doubt in my mind Ill be safe, taken care of, as well as other drivers while being blessed to get back on the road! The people here are AMAZING. So kind, so helpful and they treat you with respect. Every interaction I have had with them has been great!! They go above and beyond to be accommodating and work with you.The corporate office of Smart Start is miserable to deal with, and are rude and very unhelpful. But the actual staff you interact with monthly at this location is awesome 🙂

Ive had to have my device replaced 2 different times because apparently they break when you blow into them. Wait, thats exactly what theyre designed for. Makes sense that they would break then right? Let alone the device constantly faults you for absolutely no reason, making you do the test again and again. At least the call center is a useless heap of hoops to jump through for half an hour before you get to talk to a human being. And when you finally get to talk to them theyre unprofessional and totally undertrained to be of any use.Be sure to go to ANYONE ELSE possible for an interlock device.

Had zeeo issues as long as i was giving them money, and installing the device, after my time was up and was able to uninstall they threatened me with another 4 to 6 months of the device. Last time i checked smart start was not a court and couldnt make that decision. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get the situation handled before it came to a conclusion. Terrible customer service. Ashley shouldnt be in a customer service position

If you communicate with them and make sure they know exactly what your situation is then it’s the place to get serviced!James runs his shop and he is a personable and very helpful worker!! I got caught in a jam with my car battery dying and he took personal time out of his day to walk me through the steps to get my car too his shop and not only fixed me car but helped me with how I won’t get a violation the next time my car battery dies!!!Great place with great workers!

Guys who work here are nice and do their best, but this system is a joke. In a world where most people have a job, they get to come here on a Saturday and spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours waiting to download. Nice that the owners dont have to care because they have cornered the market, but it still sucks.
This place makes it so much easier on you when youre already going through a rough time. The staff here has always been so amazing to me and helpful with anything I need. James goes above and beyond to help you with any problems that come up and you dont always find a business that is like that. Thank you so much for helping out during a bad situation in your life.
I have experienced nothing but fast, friendly service every month when my appointment is scheduled. Bobby has gone above and beyond to help me the last 2 months and I greatly appreciate his customer service!!
In the month that I have had my interlock I have had it malfunction twice. The first time the horn would go off after passing a rolling retest they said the prongs were bent during installation. The second time the device randomly defaulted to a different testing method and we had to call to figure it out. Since my service date was so soon I just waited to go in. My husband works so I went as soon as I could and got there 5 minutes after close and Kyle witnessed it malfunctioning. He asked if I could make it work until the next morning I said sure. Low and behold I arrive to a handwritten note that reads Tec sick please come back Tusday word for word. SERIOUSLY KYLE?! You straight told me to my FACE you would be there Saturday 9-5. Now its a holiday weekend and I will be locked out in 24 hours. I have a three month old child and my husband works. To top it off they dont give out unlock codes to WA state residents so they expect me to tow it and pay the lock out fee?! Hell no I will drop it off there and be there when the doors open so they can fix their bullshit mistake. Never ever go here!!!!! I only have 3 months left and its almost worth it to rip it out!!!!!!!!!!!Kelsey Cross

I was consistently overcharged by the Okanogan Smart Start Office. I went through 2 batteries, which I was reuquired to pay for. They had to install 2 different machines due to malfunctioning - at my expense. False violations occurred that I had to pay for. Place is a rip off.
I have been charged numerous times for violations each cleared with a pass afterwards. This its $54 each time which smart start tells their customers is a Washington state law...thats a lie. There is no WAC law saying we have to pay for this. Smart start will not refund my money and has nothing to say about it they have charged me over $200 in these violations and Ive never once been called into court because their all faulty. I have had the head piece changed out over four times without them telling me why. Now my horn goes off after i get a pass and am driving....very embarrassing. I have this on video where i received a pass pass horns going off, i turn off my car and get a pass and my car wouldnt start at ALL! Tried this numerous times with no success. I am tempted to put this video online for all to see! I currently have been taking this video and all my false fines and showing anyone and everyone in a treatment facility for duis, i goto group meetings and tell them my experience and I go to AA meetings just to show this video and tell them my experience. Im not they only one o.k. finding so Im collecting names and signatures from people with similar issues, same location (market). Smart start has taken money from me preventing me to provide for my family and they are fine with that knowing these are false violations EACH ONE IS CLEARED WITH A .000 WITHIN 2 MINUTES. I will not stop until they make this right...might look on youtube for this video In the near future. Dont goto smart start!
This place is what it is. Costs money. Employees were rude at first but after year they seem to warm up to you. Free coffee for haha. The sign says there open Saturdays but they are not open every Saturday.
