I went there to sell my pistol. The manager(Alex) told me what the store could give me and it was low due to having to sell it for what I wanted. It was basically half of what I wanted. He then gave me the site guntraders.com I I actually got 50 dollars more than what I wanted. Outstanding service when I buy my next gun I will def6go see Alex. Honest, knowledgeable, and professional.

I have spoken and dealt with all of the employees there, but the Assistant Manager JD Hart went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and help me get exactly what I wanted! Great place to shoot, not normally crowded, staff is nice. Prices are good. Minus 1 star for not having a gunsmith, short 15 yard range, brass only ammo, and no rifle rounds allowed. If you can look past these flaws, its a good place.

I called and told them exactly what I was looking for and they didn’t hesitate to go look in the back and make sure it was there before I spent time driving out to them. They had it, so I said I’ll be there in 15 minutes to buy it. When I arrived they had everything ready to go for me. Everything went smooth with the purchase and then the range followed suit. My phone ended up dying and the range master offered to charge my phone while I shot my new gun. Great experience and I will definitely be back.

Went in with my husband looking for a specific gun, 2 big guys in the front didnt even acknowledge that we walked in. The woman finally came over but didnt seem like she wanted to help either.... we walked out after a couple minutes of being the only ones in the store, and getting no greeting at all.

I called to ask questions about shotguns and Nicki was extremely helpful. She then invited me to come to their location to look at an appropriate shotgun for my needs. I arrived and was promptly greeted by Nicki and about 4 other employees. Nicki showed me the shotgun that we had discussed by phone and she was correct, it completely met the needs I have.The background check took only a few minutes and I was approved. I purchased a new shotgun, ammo and they gave me a certificate to use any of their gun ranges to practice with my new shotgun. Very simple and effecient process.Great job Nicki and the staff at Spring Guns & Ammo - The Woodlands!

We had a great experience with Spring Guns & Ammo. We completed our LTC course. Our instructor Kris Mayfield was very very knowledgeable and helped with any questions we had. Would recommend this company for both the LTC course and the store had a nice selections of fire arms.

Take your business elsewhere. The level of price gauging should be criminal. Don’t shop here unless you like being ripped off.

Got a membership here, paid for 1 year of the bronze level membership, half off special for 4th of July which comes out to around $13 a month so I figured why not. Just got back from the range and everything was good. It may not be as fancy as some other ranges, but for me it was 5 stars and I look forward to frequenting this range. Staff was polite and informative as well. I will update if I need to.

I had a very good experience at Spring Guns & Ammo. When visiting the area with my daughter from the UK, I wanted to take her shooting. We called in to the range and were given very good service by the young lady behind the counter. After explaining I had limited experience in firing handguns, she gave me a basic, but sufficient check in competency, before setting us up with everything we needed to enjoy the range for an hour. A bundle of fun and I would definitely return.

Just stopped by to run a few hundred rounds through a new handgun of mine today and I have to say this will probably be my go-to shooting range. Jenna was extremely helpful and kind, and the facilities were exactly what I would want out of a shooting range. They even have half-price range fees on Tuesdays and Thursdays for teachers! Decent selection in store for your typical modern shooter. Youll find things cheaper online as always, but the price on their reloads is competitive. One of the few places around that actually has the little bits and bobs you may lose while cleaning your AR-15 (The Spring store does, at least). And if they dont have what I want, they have happily pointed me in the direction of a competing shop nearby that will. Good people, decent range, if indoor shooting is your thing.

I took my son to the Woodlands location today because he was interested in purchasing a handgun for competition. We received excellent service from Alec . He answered all of our questions, created a list of recommended firearms, and was extremely patient and encouraging. He went into a lot of detail about what he should and shouldnt get for competitions. When my son has saved enough money, we plan on returning to purchase here. Thank you Alec for your help!

Being our first time to a shooting range, we were nervous about it but James made our experience a great and exciting experience. He gave us a short but detailed course on safety and guns. We had too much fun. And the girl at the counter was very friendly and professional as well. Id definitely come back here and bring other friends over.

Nice indoor range. good air conditioning. polite staff. No rapid fire allowed. Lots of guns to rent for $12 a rental. Range time is by the hour so bring as many guns as you want. Looks like they allow rifle calibers in their range while many ranges dont. They only allow brass ammo. Id give 5 stars if they allowed rapid fire on at least one lane.

Spring Guns & Ammo in the Woodlands is not the biggest in the area, but easily has the best customer service. I like the indoor range, and the rangemasters are top shelf. From a shopping perspective, if they dont have it, they can get it. Good prices.Also their instruction series is fantastic. Some are offered at the main store in Spring or at the long range in Magnolia. The instructors are very good and patient.I am hooked.

Purchased a Groupon for a LTC to carry class here. I followed all directions given to me on the Groupon and from store staff, just to be turned away in store for incorrect information. Groupon for this class was about $50. It was purchased towards the beginning of the stay at home order, originally called in to schedule the class and the staff on the phone said they were not sure how the Groupon would work right now and to call back in a few days once their details were worked out. I gave them about a week and called back. At that time the staff on the phone said they were not doing any LTC classes for the Groupon and were only offering 9 people classes (COVID-19 Conscience) or online classes all $100+. I tried to get a refund from Groupon, but Groupon said the merchant doesn’t allow refunds and since it was more than 7 days, a refund couldn’t be given. I called SGA telling them this and the staff on the phone told me that I could use my Groupon voucher for one of the COVID-19 compliant classes that were being offered by them online and just pay the difference while onsite. I select their virtual class as my option and a day later was called by SGA that they were canceling their virtual class because they were told by the Texas DPS that they were not allowed to hold virtual classes because they were not licensed to do so. So they signed me up for their cheaper in person classes that they are licensed to give. I wasn’t happy about this, but willing to do it since I couldn’t get a refund. While all of this is happening, SGA is knowingly still selling GROUPON classes by 50+ a day knowing they are not offering a date for their Groupon customers to schedule. They were up selling these customers to select one of their higher COVID-19 classes as a replacement. The morning of the class, I have to sign in and pay for the class and I see the price of the class is different from one, the Groupon (which I already expected) and two, from their own registration website. Their registration website said either $69 or $79, but when I showed up to pay for the class it said $99. This was just another deceptive action on their part in my eyes. I wasn’t happy about that. I present my Groupon voucher so I can pay the difference and the staff there says I can’t use the Groupon because they aren’t accepting them. I told the manager, I was told by your staff I COULL’s use whatever value the Groupon had and just pay the difference and the manager said that was not correct. I asked him if they have opened a scheduled date for their Groupon customers and he said no. I understand things change, but wow. So I can’t get a refund, I can’t apply my Groupon to a class, and you are not offering me a date to schedule my group. In my eyes this is a deceptive business and I can not recommend anyone to do business with them. If this is how they are doing business, it calls everything into question. Just give me my money back so I can go away. Maybe this is what I get for trying to find the best deal. I will be pushing this for a resolution.

The check in ladies were great, friendly, and professional. The range was clean and only one other person was there shooting at the time so it was pretty peaceful. This will probably be my go to spot from now on.

We had a blast there. First time shooting since the military so over 10 years and was so excited. Finally convinced the hubby to get me a gun so he signed us up for a class first. Got there and the instructor wasnt there. Didnt call to cancel. However told them if they can work something out I want to learn the safety and fundamentals to at least practice shooting. Jen over at the range was super sweet!!! She took about an hour of her time to walk us thru everything and made me feel comfortable and confident with the particular one and we ended up buying one. They had fair prices too compared to others. So all in all it was an awesome day at the range! Jen is the best!!

I wish I would have gone to see John for instructional class sooner. I feel much more confident with handling firearm properly & safely firing. I will definitely be signing up for more classes in the future.

First time at a gun range with no experience and the lovely gent behind the counter suggested Brandon Campbell to do a lesson with me which I rang and he was there within minutes to do an hour lesson which was very detailed and fun. Would be back again!

Being a foreigner and proud first time firearm owner - I had a lot of stupid questions. The team were great, very patient and knowledgeable. I got myself lined up with a training lesson for an hour which was well worth the money. I have purchased ammo and a 4th mag for my Beretta M92A1 and regularly use the range. It’s proximity to the Woodlands is perfect for sneaking off for an hour of shooting, has very reasonable range fees and the girls are cute. Very happy overall with the experience. Gotta be 5 star rating for sure.

Just left the store, and after hearing great things about it, I was excited to make it there. The store itself is great, but the guy I dealt with was not. Honestly I just wanted to look, but he wanted to either make a sale or escort me through out the mega store so I wouldnt get lost. I decided to not get an item and picked up another instead, then told the guy that I would just get something else and I put the other back. Instead of saying oh ok he walks back to make sure it was there. I was so pissed from the guided tour to the double checking of merchandise, I wanted to return my item, but since I do need it Ill hold on to it. Didnt get his name but the guy that cut his finger knows that this happened. Everyone else seemed relaxed but I get the one with the stick up his butt. Hope your finger is fine buddy. Not playing the race card, just the crappy service card, because like I said everyone else seemed mellow.

Went looking for a 1911 and shooting at the range with my 13 yr old. The staff at SG&A are always kind, professional and knowledgeable. The range was clean and decent prices. Cost us around $60 to rent a 1911, one lane with two boxes of ammo. Great place.

Overall vastly disappointing. The sales representative was extremely nice and helpful and ordered the correct pistol but with 10 round magazines rather than the normal 15 round ones. Upon discovering this they offered to order some magazines for me at a discounted rate. Due to my busy schedule this was inconvenient, not only because I was going to be required to make an additional purchase, but the fact that they only wanted to order magazines for me when they had several in stock. I then inquired about a discount since the wrong product was ordered, I received a whopping $24 refund, an amount not even sufficient to purchase one correct magazine. Im sure it is far from being the worst customer service anyone has experienced, but it was enough for me to never return and recommend other firearms dealers in the area to anyone that asks.

Will not bother to help directing me to get missing parts from kit bought at their store... Frequent costumer there but very disappointed.Overall service in store should be better...should learn a bit from the ones in their gun range, that are very helpful and polite.

Very poor customer service! I went in to pick up a revolver I had ordered, as I had received a notification that it had been delivered. When I walked in, the three employees were all standing around talking to each other, (There was Absolutely No One Else In The Store, it’s not like they were busy), and I did not receive any type of acknowledgment or greeting as they were to busy talking to each other. When I was finally approached, I let the employee know that I was there to pick my revolver, the employee then told me that I would have to come back tomorrow, as something about their system wouldn’t update until midnight. He then simply just walked away and rejoined the conversation with the other employees! He offered no additional information, no concern as to weather I understood why I could not pick up my revolver, and acted as if he could care less that I had driven all the way down to their store apparently for nothing, simply an “Oh Well”, “Come Back Tomorrow!”. So now I will have to rearrange my schedule to pick it up tomorrow, and hope that they don’t have some other excuse as to why they can’t be bothered to take the time to process my transfer, which I have an LTC, so it doesn’t even require a phone call. I’ve done numerous transfers with other gun stores in The Woodlands area, who have provided great customer service, such as Triple J Firearms, Saddle River Range, and Kick Brass Firearms to name a few. Oh well, I’ve learned not to do business with Spring Guns and Ammo, I can cross them off my list, and if your interested in good customer service I suggest you shop at some of the other gun stores that I’ve mentioned.

Even though SGA upper management has completely understaffed this store Alec still provided excellent customer service.

First and last time customer. Bought a scope but they were out of cantilevered optics mounts. The salesman talked me into a $184 non-cantilevered mount in an open box, and said try it out I think youll like it. I didnt like it once mounted, and tried to return it without ever firing it. First the manager said they dont return opened boxes (it was open when I bought it), but then switched to saying no because it was no longer perfect after installing it. Now, Im stuck selling it on ebay. Disappointing because theyre nearby, gave a decent selection, and have decent prices.

Very dissapointed. If I could give this place no stars I would. I went to this store and picked a Ruger SR1911, which I wanted a new one. The one I picked at the counter was new, however when I received the gun and took it home I found out a day later that it was not a new gun. But instead it was the damn rental gun, so he must of made a mistake. I spoke over the phone with the salesperson and he didnt give a damn. Basically told me to just deal with it. I had bought a rifle here before and had no issues. I feel robbed since I paid the total for a new gun but received a used one. I feel it is the duty of the salesperson to view the firearm and make sure it is new, and if its not to at least let the buyer know. I will no longer buy from this place and I recommend that you who are reading this review also take your money elsewhere.

The staff at SG&A is awesome. They are knowledgeable and if they dont have what youre looking for onsite, theyll order it. They also just opened an indoor firing range thats clean with rentals. Go check them out.

Came in here looking for a M4 upper receiver. They didnt have something in my price range in stock but offered to order one for me. Although I ended up ordering it myself the staff was extremely helpful. My next big purchase will be purchased from these guys unless their business practices change

I purchased a gun from this place and turns out it was reported stolen from them during a robbery that occurred there months prior to me buying the gun. Long story short, gun was confiscated as evidence

An addendum to below review. I have since kept coming to SGA for convenience and have since been very impressed with their knowledge and service. The manager (Raegan I believe is his name) even gave me his cell.First, I am biased. I just left here very upset. I spent $200 on a red dot laser for a 9mm. It broke within a few days. I asked to return it and they sent me to the other store. Not pleased. I will attempt to get this specific matter resolved and maybe change my opinion.

First of all...GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! We live in an Amazing Country that allows us the freedoms and the rights to protect ourselves, our possessions, our families, our neighbors, and even a stranger who may be in need. Sadly though, Sometimes there may not be a large amount of equality between someone smaller or physically weaker and someone stronger when it comes to disagreements that unfortunately lead towards a violent outcome. A disagreement could involve someone who feels like they are welcome to come into your house, uninvited, in the middle of the night and take your hard earned things with no intentions of ever returning them while your family sleeps only feet away. Or someone who wants to remove you from your vehicle against everyone’s will and carpool with your wife and kids at 100+MPH going the opposite direction as your intended destination of Disney Land. The folks over at Spring Guns and Ammo the Woodlands Location seem to understand that there’s a great equalizer out there that can help those in need in situations like this...and they know a heck of a lot about em!!! Firearms can make sure the good guys and their belongings stay safe...no matter how small or disabled they may be in the face of evil. With education, training, and a good product I feel confident that I have a better chance to protect myself and those I love...bottom line. All of these things I’ve seen and found for myself at Spring guns and ammo thanks to the great storefront, the top notch shooting range, and the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sorry it took me so long to get to this point in the review but I needed to make sure anyone reading this knew the severity as to which I spend my time around firearms...you never know what could happen, but these men and women here will make sure that you are ready if that one time arises. Sam helped retain me as a customer for life recently by spending some great one on one time with me in the store gallery. He’s a Fellow Veteran and passionate counselor who knows exactly what you need or what to reccomend. He’ll spend a few minutes(only because that’s all that’s needed with him) to find you something that will suit all of your needs, and then spend all the time you’d like after that making sure you are comfortable and knowledgeable on your choice. I honestly learned a lot from him and the others in just a few visits to the shop. I had the pleasure of being able to use their range to try out some fire arms they already had in stock and a pistol that my friend had just bought from a different store. Todd was running the range that day and was really nice to meet. He offered help and advice to my girlfriend who was shooting for one of her first times in years and answered about a hundred questions from us...all while maintaining a safe environment for all shooters on the line. They offer training there in an assortment of classes ranging in purpose and skill level. I even saw a lady in the defensive pistol class they put on yesterday with only one hand! Talk about Awesome!!! The bottom line is even though shooting and firearms is an extremely serious subject...when you’re around good people in a safe environment offering a great product...you can have a Blast!
