I have used Gulf Coast Firearms recently and in the past, each time the experience was excellent. The business is very professional, yet down to earth. His FFL Fees are also very reasonable and the best around. I would recommend Gulf Coast Firearms to everyone.

The paperwork at pick up was handled efficiently, professionally, and in a very discreet manner within the owners home. Ive used David for 7 or 8 transfers so far. All have gone smoothly. David has had some health issues from time to time and has been slow to respond to communication. Anyone who had health problems will probably understand. Most of the time hes on the ball with transfers. If hes hard to get a hold of it is probably for the reason I already mentioned, so dont get frustrated. Be patient and youll get squared away.

Alot of not answering email or phone.Not sure what to think with a 3.5 review.Just got into Tomball from Virginia and need a o/u 12 gauge transfer. If anyone knows a respectable ffl please let me know. Im new here. [email protected]

I have used Gulf Coast Firearms for transfers for over 3 years now. Mr. Gaines has very good pricing on his transfers, very quick with the paperwork, and very professional. I have recommended him in the past and will continues to do so in the future.

I was a repeat customer. He did a personable favor for me and is fairly cheap with the ffl. His tone over the phone and refusing to let me use the bathroom before my hour long trip back to Houston leaves much to be desired however.

Rock solid transaction. Quick, compliant, and on time. Communication was brisk and timely. I highly recommend.

Advise you to go to another place, I received my gun in a couple of days but not worth it. Gun was not put back properly so I had to take it back he has it for 3 weeks couldnt figure it out until he took it somewhere else to get fixed. Coating was a poor job and now my gun has nicks and dings on it from trying to fix it. Note my gun was brand new only had it for 2 months. Would not suggest the place to nobody I dont even do rating so this should explain it all.

Not using this guy again. Its hit or miss with him. Sometimes hell answer but most of the time he wont. Sometimes he will be home to accept your shipment, sometimes he wont. My shotgun got sent all the way back to the shipper because no one could receive it after MULTIPLE attempts! Have to start all over again.

The guy wont answer the phone and wont respond to emails. Went to Valley Forge Armory who did a great job and took care of my transfer.

Excellent experience every time. Flexible on appointments and understands NFA Trusts. Best Service in the area. I use David at least every other month.

Been using David for about 4 years for transfers. No more after this last attempted one. He sent his ffl to shipper but failed to receive package after a weeks worth of attempts from FedEx. No response at all from David for over a week. Seriously left me holding the bag for extra shipping costs. This guy needs to go do something else.Update: David called me Sunday March 24th with a story about being sick. He wanted to know how to make this right. I told him to cover the expenses incurred through the shipping. He agreed and says he would get me a check and got my address. Been almost 2 weeks and nothing. So add liar to the list of qualities for this guy.STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY.

I Have done three transfers, no problems at all. He does answer the phone when home. Easy and cheap transfer

I have performed multiple firearms transfers with David of Gulf Coast Firearms. Each transaction was quick and smooth.

Terrible experience, Mr Gaines left town for a week and was not available to receive UPS deliveries, after contacting him he advised me that he had UPS put the package on hold for pickup, not so. UPS shipped the package back to the shipper, Mr Gaines then blamed UPS for shipping the package back. I have been purchasing items on the internet for 20 years, first bad review I have written, spend a few more bucks and ship to another FFL.

I reached out to David to do a transfer for me. He responded quickly to the initial email and sent his license information to the seller. Then, nothing. Never called back, never emailed, never replied to text messages. FedEx unsuccessfully tried to deliver the package 6 times over the course of 8 days. Never received the package. I had to wait for it to go back to the seller and have them resend it out to a new FFL at the cost of $40 to me (for return shipping and resending our to another FFL) and a week and a half’s time. To add further insult, David called me back moments after finalizing the transaction to send to another FFL (and paying additional money) to say “nothing had been received for me”. I just laughed and let him know this review would be posted. FedEx tried 6 times. I tried calling 6+ times and left (friendly) voicemails, 4+ emails and a text over the course of over a week. Never heard back.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL LOSE TIME AND MONEY.ESAD in the woodlands is very responsive and costs 10$ a transfer with a LTC. Try that instead.

A very very bad experience with Gulf Coast. I decided to use Gulf Coast as an FFL and to do a firearm transfer. My package has been in town for over a week. Ive tracked this package relentlessly since the day it shipped to Gulf Coast. UPS has made multiple attempts to try to deliver my order and it has been rescheduled and also no one there to receive the order. I left a voice mail the first day of was in town, and no phone call was ever returned. I also have emailed a couple of times with no response to these emails trying to get my package delivered. I would greatly discourage anyone who ranks customer service high on their list. I recommend finding another gun dealer who cares about receiving your order and getting your order to you.

I have done two separate transfers with Gulf Coast Firearms. Both times he called me immediately after the guns were delivered to him and I picked them up the same day. I will use him again if I need a firearms transfer.

Didnt answer multiple phone calls or emails.. had to switch to someone else.

I have been calling this place for weeks trying to get my firearm. Nothing, no response at all. I am not sure what to do at this point.

6/10/2016 Friday Update:Mr. Gaines called me this morning we met and completed the transfer of 3 pistols to me.I will use his service in the future if there are no further delays in the transfers to other people.
