Patsy was so helpful when we were ordering our sod. Most places were out of the kind we wanted but she kept us updated on its arrival and we were able to get some from them. Pickup was easy and the sod was fresh. Its now several weeks later and its growing, beautiful and green and doing great...Thanks Patsy

I contracted with Ground Effects Landscaping to install bermuda sod in my yard. The sod had a mix of zoysia with the bermuda. According to Ground Effects Landscaping, the sod came from The Sod Store. I have sent two messages to The Sod Store and have received no response. I can’t recommend either of these businesses.

They did our houses landscaping at our new house. There are hold everywhere in the yard and they did not spread the dirt evenly at all. The guy told me they would bury our gutter system and clean/level all the areas they would bot put sod on. Our flower bed was not even covered with enough mulch to hide the dirt and sand and the metal on the ground is all loose and buried at different levels. The guy also told us he would spread grass seed over the areas that did not have sod, yeah he just came out and dumped it in the spaces between the checker blotches and did not put straw. If you are looking for a good quality business do NOT use these guys. It’s sad when they blame customers over the quality of their work. The worst part is the guy is nice and tells you he will do all this stuff but literally does nothing he says he will do.

We were looking for river stone. Staff was very helpful in helping us. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality service.

So woke up this morning in hopes of being able to finish a job today (In bella vista). Called the Sod Store and asked if they had top soil I needed for a job, they said yes they had it. So i got in my truck and headed that way from Rogers. Upon getting there I went to the front desk and asked about the top soil only to be rudely informed that they did not have it. We dont have it in a very snarky tone. Lady at the front desk was very rude. Not very customer service like. Ive worked in customer service before and in my opinion if you cant at least fake a smile and be polite, You do not need to be dealing with customers face to face. Wont be back.

My husband and I ordered several pallets of sod from The Sod Store in fall of 2017. We were very pleased with the service, quality and purchase of our sod. Because we were sodding for a new home that sits on 18 acres and honestly did not know exactly where all we wanted the sod it took multiple orders and trips. They were very patient with us and delivered three separate times and were courteous and helpful.

I cant believe how rude the owner was to me. I called her because I wanted to purchase some sod. When I tried to ask her about when would be the best time to put down new sod, (when its dormant or not dormant), she got very annoyed and was even rude! Then she put me on hold without even asking, (hold please, CLICK), then I was disconnected. I tried to call back but only got the answering machine and not even a call back. I will drive further if I have too to buy from someone more helpful and friendly.

We put in an order for 3 pallets of sod. Lady told us that she would call us a day in advance to let us know when they arrived. She called the day of and only gave us 30 minutes to come get them. When we informed her that we could not make it in thirty but we would make it later that day they sold two pallets from under us. When we called and were justifiably upset about the situation we were banned from buying from them again. I wish this site could give zero stars. Completely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had good luck with them. Better than with another place nearby. The bermuda I got came from Oklahoma and was extremely thick and green. It went down well and has thrived.

This operation absolutely lacks in customer service. On 2 occasions I have tried to buy sod from them and my experiences on both occasions left me shocked at their level of professionalism. They are rude to the customer and never return phone calls when you leave a message. When you try to engage them about the different types of sod they have, they will either get testy or hang up on you. Whatever you do, do not buy sod from here. Go further down the road to Skylers instead.

Our company installs between 25 - 50 semi loads of sod a year. Gary Kifer was one of the most rude and unprofessional people Ive ever dealt with. Recommend using The Sod Yard in Lowell, not the easiest to get ahold of but always willing to do what it takes to make you happy, and they wont just hang up on you when looking for a supplier.

These people are obviously a little old in their ways but their product speaks for itself. Yes you have to order because they cut the sod, its fresh and healthly. If you dont pay when you order and arent able to get it when they call, its because they have to keep the sod fresh. The old man is a bit forward in his speaking but man he knows his stuff. Their level of professionalism matches the type of work. At a fair price, this sod really knocks the competition out of the water. Be prepared for a unique customer service but know what you are getting is a darn good product.

I called on Monday, March 21, 2016 @ 1016 hours and spoke with the guy that runs the place. I asked if he had fescue and he said nope, Bermuda grass only and its $110 a pallet.I asked if all we needed to do was bring a copy of our sales and use tax permit and he said yes. Not a word was mentioned about having to order anything.I just arrived on site 1218 hours and met a tall grey headed guy that acted as if he owned the place. Said I was here to get 2 pallets of sod. He asked if I ordered any and I said no, thats not what you said yesterday.I walked outside and made a few calls. I went back inside and asked if he would have sod for tomorrow.He said in a very arrogant and unprofessional tone, Nope, and I wont for you ever, buddy I said Thank you sir and as I walked out the door he condensendingly said, Youre welcome buddy.I served many a years in the US Army Special Operations group with multiple tours overseas to give my countrymen an opportunity to live free and treat people here with the respect they deserve. This guy and the company, The Sod Store, do not deserve to be in business. This is my personal and professional experience and opinion.All this without having the courtesy to apologize or come from out of the back room.Ill take my veteran owned company business elsewhere and i suggest others do as well. What a shame. I buy about $20k a year in sod and was trying to give this guy our business.Avoid at all costs is my opinion.
