Cute little market for quick grocery runs. Everything is much more expensive so I go when I’m looking for a unique item or just need to grab one or two things. Great vegetable and cheese selection! People are friendly and the store is always nice and clean.
Nice, interesting, corner market. They do have some unique finds available like a nice cheese selection and fresh sushi. The dessert counter is dangerously delicious. Although a part of Big Y, dissapointingly the prices are a bit on the higher side and they close a little early.
I am very disappointed in Big Y’s decision to change the makeup of the store. I shopped there because of the freshly made foods like the mashed potatoes, squash and other vegetables. There was always a good selection for quick and easy meals. Please bring Fresh Acres back.
Due to Big Y, who owns them, this store will lose its own special identity and uniqueness....we went there because it was different than Big Y, though owned by them..it had different items than other bigger stores, and even the ambience was better, but that is going to be gone now that, according to a manager I asked, we are turning this into a Big Y ..this is a sad turn of events due to Corporate. I will miss going to that store..
Replacing a lot of products with Big Y products, (that’s their parent company), but still a good mix of grab and go options, with friendly staff and a speedy layout for quick grocery trips. The sandwiches and salads still have fresh made options, and the prepared foods case still has fresh made options. (Try the salmon or Steak Portobello.😉)
Wonderful restaurant style take out foods. Eggplant roll ups are out of this world. Pumpkin muffins to die for.
Great atmosphere. Full shelves. Only place I could find tomatillas!
Its called Fresh for a reason 😋!! A little pricey, but its worth every penny, I mean dime, no...every dollar 🤣.
Not the store for people like me.. Had to chase someone down to get help at the deli/ fish counter. A lady walked right pass me while I waited at the corner and started talking to another employee. The front desk help and the pizza are way I go back.. Eight people behind a counter and no one asked if I needed help, just sad.
Definitely not ADA Compliant! I am the first one to give a great review when deserved. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in Fresh Acres. I do not go there often so when I do, I enjoy shopping all their gourmet goodies and looking at the array of unique products. Yesterday being there, brought me to tears. I have had several back surgeries so depending on the day my back pain can be painful or very painful. Yesterday, it was very, very painful so I used one of the motorized carts and I am truly appreciative of stores that offer them. Maybe it was the social distancing that amplified this but there were certain areas of the store that made it impossible to get through due to the sales displays in the isles. I highly doubt that management of this grocery store or any others take a ride in one of these carts to experience what shopping is like in their store using one. There were at least two areas in the store that made turning impossible. Between the end cap sales displays and the displays in the middle of the isles I knocked over a total of three displays during my visit. This is embarrassing and aggravating as I have to get out of the cart and bend over stressing my back to pick everything up. As it stands now, I will not be going back until they are ADA compliant and I will be calling the general manager today. In doing my research, here is what I found regarding the guidelines in grocery stores and being ADA compliant. Grocery Aisles. Failing to provide wide enough walkways between shelving units can put a retailer in danger of noncompliance with the ADA. A minimum width of 36 inches is required. If the aisle is more than 200 feet long, a passing space of at least 60 inches by 60 inches must be provided I know they were not compliant in a few areas for sure.
Produce, meats, seafood and cheeses are ALWAYS fresh. The freshest I can find in Springfield MA
Very clean, very well organized, and the location is great. This is my favorite grocery store in the area, and I recently found out they’re owned by Big Y which is great because Big Y is a great, local company. Fresh acres is like their version of a whole foods, it’s on the expensive side but is always fresh, and they carry more “natural” products big Y does not.
Fresh strawberries and ingredients for shortcake. Fresh ground beef butcher style w baked bread. Yum
Great fresh fruit and veggies. Tons of precooked foods for dinner.
Pizza wasnt as good as normal but it was good 👌
Always love it here. Always great service. Love their pre-made dinners and stone pizzas.
I was recently introduced to Fresh Acres and now it is my to go place. No need to say more!
All vegetables and fruits freshly stocked. You will find everything what you need. Friendly and cooperative staff. They are very helpful.
Clean, well run store. The manager is a hands-on guy, and it shows. Shelves are well-stocked, the employees are polite and helpful, the produce is very good and the meats are excellent. Limited choice of canned and dry groceries, but the produce/meat/deli departments are the stars here.
First time there and was blown away by their selection and prices. Plenty of fresh veggies and healthy foods.
Store employees are always pleasant and helpful. Store in very clean and everyone follows safely protocols. Prepared foods are delicious.
I love shopping here and I usually go once a week. There is a wonderful presentation of fresh fruits and vegetables, local! I always find good things throughout the store and am impressed with my experience. My issue is paying for the paper bags. According to our Governor you can’t use reusable bags. I really believe that your store is great, and I don’t mind paying a little more for the stuff I want . But charging for paper bags is a shame.
I LOVE THIS MARKET. It reminds me so much of the original Bread & Circus that I used to go to in Natick MA.Whoever came up with the concept of this market checked off all of the boxes. It has the cozy look of a real country store, the displays are beautiful, the food is top quality and the produce is huge, delicious and tastes like it was fresh-picked. They also carry my favorite cheese (Stilton) that is not available everywhere. This is food the way its meant to be! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. You owe it to yourself to go there at least once. Your eyes and taste buds will thank you, and you may even leave there joyful and very impressed. I do.
Nice place just a little pricey
Nice clean. Great assortment. Love to come here when entertaining family and friends.
Love this store! Its the only place I do my shopping. Fabulous selection & service.
Fresh Acres is a nice store, but every time I shop there, I feel like I am just at a Big Y store. I liked it better when they were new and the store seemed a lot more unique, not just like your average grocery store.
Great store, allot of locally made products, a little pricey. But great selections
Excellent and unique selection.
Great place to shop for all your fresh meats & SeafoodDont for get your freshly made breads and veggies😉
Great place Great ppl Nuff Said!👍🏽🔔💪🏾
Love Fresh Acres! Wish they had more lower cost options on some items. But overall they have a great selection and their Stone Pie Pizzas are amazing!
Good produce open air department
Great store! Its like a higher end Big Y. Its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of quality foods.
Love the great local produce, huge selection of gluten free foods, local cheeses..you can also pick up baked goods and fresh salads and seafood.
Love this place! I used to live in the area. I miss the high quality products. The fresh meals. Love their croissants and the sushi! Oh mine, the cheeses! All top quality. And the staff are very professional and helpful. I wish we have something similar where I live now.
Very clean nice place shop for groceries
The most cleanest supermarket never crowded a variety of things you wont see at the regular Big Ys.
Great place. Clean. Courteous. Helpful.friendly. Thank you
Went in for a floral/plant bouquet. The young lady did it up so nicely. I appreciate that. The prices are reasonable. Went back the next week for flowers for someone else. This is my go-to store.
Usually higher quality than a regular Big Y but also more costly. The cuts of meat are great and the selection of cheeses is wonderful. They use to have gelato but with the current state of the world dont know if that will be offered. Shame because it was really good.
Always good food! Especially if you dont feel like cooking there is tons of food already made! Sandwiches, wraps, dinners, side dishes, sushi, desserts and pizza made to order A+
Great stuff
Great store with a subset of Big Y merchandise, a good fresh fruit and veggie selection, and many ready-to-eat meals. Tends towards the upscale side. Friendly staff.
Avoid the sushi at all cost. We got sick from that. The pizza staff are very unprofessional and not welcoming.
Upscale version of and owned by Big Y....very nice prepared meal items and many very good brands not found in their regular stores
Great selection of healthy foods, although a little on the pricey side.
Great selection, always fresh
Great prices. Clean makes you feel like youre out in the country.
Helpful staff, best local produce, wonderful quality flowers, the spectacular wall of cheese, and fresh stone pies! Everything I need is at Fresh Acres 😊❤️👍🏽
Some things a little pricey but overall a good shopping experience especially for hard to find organic or specialty items. Nice baked and prepared food selection. Very good Sushi they I will make to your specs beyond whats in the case. Excellent customer service throughout the store!
Great stuff just a little pricey sometimes. Definitely not a good place to buy staple or pantry ingredients. Awesome if youre looking for something special. Staff is always friendly.
Brian and his team are great in the meat market
Fresh Acres is incredible! The food, the employees everything. Instead of bashing a store in a review about something you admit yourself they probably dont know about how about calling them and bringing it to their attention. They are a premium grocer and have premium people working there. No one has better produce, meat, or seafood. It is a pleasure to go there
I Love Fresh Acres. Thats WHY I Shop There. Tomorrows supper planned and I cant wait! Thank You
Great quality, but rather expensive. There is a massive prepared foods selection for a quick bite for lunch, from sandwiches to sushi, pizza to steak, and everything in between. There is also a soup bar, wing bar, and hot bar. These are all reasonably priced for the taste and quality. I usually shop here for lunch rather than true grocery shopping. 5/5 overall though.
I love fresh acres. They have a wide variety of specialty foods from vegan, to gluten free. This is my go to store for specific dietary needs.
Staff very friendly and the store is clean and organized. Great selection.
This place is terrific, the atmosphere of a local community fresh produce market combined with a deep selection of quality marinated meats is so much fun to shop. They also have a more conventional mix of super market offerings and supplies to make it a one stop shop destination.
Always a pleasure shopping at Fresh Acres. Excellent selection.
Lobe having this whole foods option nearby! Bulk food/herbs&spices selection was wonderful. Lovely option for the area! Oh and dont forget the local fruits and vegetables!
Great Market. World class service. Food is delicious. Local and organic produce at a great rate. Always finding new foods to try. Fun place to shop and it is not overwhelming.
Always a great place to shop. Was looking for a few specialty items and they had every one! Thanks Fresh Acres, the store is always clean, well stocked & well staffed.
This is not your regular super- market. Here you will find lots of organic food. My favorite item to buy here is the cranberry or pecan, raisin bread. So good you cant have just one slice.
Very convenient and they have lots of unique options. I have seen alot of great ingredients to make different appetizers. I like to go when I need a few quick items since they are a bit pricey. The customer service is great and very friendly! I was getting deli cheese for French onion soup and the deli employee offered to slice my breads for me. They also have really good stone oven pizza.
Great choices...just an awesome place staff very helpful and friendly...
I love this market. Most items are reasonably priced. The prepared foods are convenient and delicious.
Very happy people good door great prices
Wonderful combination of almost everything in one store! Friendly, helpful staff. I appreciate being able to talk to the chefs for recipe advice. Unique and very welcome addition to the Acres!
Loved their food tasting weekend... Many varieties of healthier foods many many stores dont offer
Big selection of organic, fresh items with large inventory of vegan products. I was impressed. Produce tastes amazing!!
I come here mostly every morning to get delicious hot coffee and my lunch for work. Never fails me.. alwaya great food, fruits, meats, and to go meals.
This Place Has Various Healthy Options!! The Cook Dishes Are Very Good & The Chef Jay Is Awesome & Super Helpful!!
You want quality? Fresh Acres is the place to shop.....This is what shopping used to like You feel like you are among friends...Like the old Sitcom Cheers
This is my all time favorite grocery store! The selection and produce quality just cant be beat!!! Not to mention their ready made meals. They definitely are taylored to the healthy consumer, so you can expect slightly higher prices than a typical grocery store, but its well worth the quality that you get. And again, KILLER PRODUCE!!!
Love all the fresh meats and healthy foods I wish it was a bit less expensive
Love this store. High quality items. Great vegetables, cheeses, breads, meats, specialty items, and fresh fish. They have a small grocery area, deli, and floral. Can get premade foods as well.
Amazing local produce, local teas, Butch cut meats, bakery singles are delicious, gluten free baking/cooking needs as well as a robust assortment of prepared foods. I cant say enough about this place! Somehow they manage to create a local market vibe and selections, quick lines, intimate feels, while still offering enough products for you to complete your weekly shopping
Best place for fresh foods and snacks. Lots of healthy options and stuff tastes just as good as back home.
Nicely designed open air market. Walking into the open produce section will impress you. Everything looks wondeful. Pick up an apple and youll find its no better than any other grocery store in the area. Its really an over priced division of Big Y grocery stores. Youll pay more here for the artisan feel. I still like to go here and pick up something for lunch once in a while. Other than the crazy parking lot the shopping experience is pretty good. Update : Went back today to fill my lunch bag. Bought a pear @ 1.99 per pound. Took a couple of bites, found its rotting inside. I left a picture. Please give a thumbs up if this review was helpful. Thanks
OMG this place is amazing. Really if your ever in the area check it out. We bought fresh fruit UNBELIEVABLE meats, cheeses, spent about 30$ got red and green grapes...to die for watermelon and cantaloupe. Oh we even bought blue buff dog treats cheep...I s*** you not wish there was one in my area...If you have a min take a peek. But youll want to take more then a min to look around. They give out free cheese. Lady was a sweet heart...Stop by if your in the area..
Great selection and customer service...
The best
Great place to shop!Fish bought fresh, cut right in front of me, was Soo good!Always clean, neat, well organized! And they carry my fav chips (State Line) at better than pizzeria price!!!Ill be back!!!
Love this store. Always has new and interesting food there. And fresh strawberries when in season. Like right now!
Great selection but the prices are higher on average especially for their meats and cheeses. However it has a lot more vegetarian and asian options than most stores
1. Phenomenal quality food2. Phenomenal staff3. Clean and organizedAnd many, many more amazing things about this local market
Love the prepared food! Great when you dont have time to cook. My favorite is the Ginger Chicken Meatballs 😋
A very clean store with a wonderful selection. I love the design and the layout. It is very unique and classy.
Cost a little more money but the quality is well worth it
Good food, nice people, and tea selection, but prices could be better.
Amazing selections. Staff are wonderful and polite. Check out the pizza.
Beautiful products except One...the Quiche. It does Not have any cooking labels, nor a label that could say Not fully cooked. BEWARE! I was violently ill for 3 to 5 hours. I microwaved a piece for 4 minutes, and clearly that was not the protocol. I was told by their employee when I returned the unused portion for quality control, that this happens All The Time!Very Disappointed in the fact that they cant put a cooking label on it. Maybe after a salmonella lawsuit, they might?????
This is Big Ys take on Whole Foods. Tons of unique items that typical grocery stores dont stock. They also have a buffet style lunch set up for healthy meals on the go.
Very good food
Stopped in for quick food. Lots to choose from in the hot food and salad bars. Who knew its one of big ys stores.
Small style grocery store, certain items are not carried based on its side. To me seems geared to healthier options (probably hence the name), which was great.
A great place to shop for fresh ingredients. The sea food is always top notch here. They also have a large selection of teas to choose from. This is a good place to stop for lunch since they have a number of premade foods available including sandwiches, soups, hot meals and even fresh sushi.
Amazing such a Great place to shop the employees are wonderful and very helpful.
