I ate here for dinner with my mom today, and I really enjoyed it for some different Mexican restaurant. The tortilla chips and the coffee were just as good as those at other Mexican restaurants in the Ozarks where I ate before (i.e. Mexican Villa, El Charro). I ordered the Fish Tacos, and they were quite delectable as well.As a special bonus, I took the opportunity to speak to the staff in Spanish! I enjoyed it! I studied Spanish in high school and at Ozarks Technical Community College, and I started to re-study Spanish with Duolingo two months ago.

The weekly specials are a really good deal. I had four tamales with a water and complimentary chips for around $6.50 (dine-in only). I like how a lot of the menu is homemade. The staff was friendly during my visit. The atmosphere was lively, but a bit too crowded for my liking.

Excellent food with so many more options than the typical Springfield Mexican restaurant and reasonably priced. I love that it is family owned and operated and not part of a chain. My favorite thing about this restaurant is being able to choose what meat you want in most of the dishes. That triples the choices available and they are all good!

This place has the best pork tacos in Springfield, MO! We come here every other Tuesday and the service and atmosphere are top notch! I and my family highly recommend Tortilleria Perches!

It was good. The steak had a great flavor but was a little tough. They use a lot of cilantro on everything, at least everything we had. The green sauce is super spicy but tastes amazing!

So incredibly sad that we did not go here sooner. The food was exceptional. The drinks were well made. The staff were a delight, even including the fact that we didnt realize they closed at 4:00 on Sunday and we showed up at 3:00. I have heard fantastic things about Tortilleria Perches; however, none of them live up to the actual experience. I will keep coming back. I had the Perches combination plate that came with a taco, burrito, and tostada. All of which came with the ability to choose a different meat selection. I tried three different ones and was not let down with any of them. I also had a pork tamale, and am very excited that they have the option to order tamales in bulk. My guest had the chimichanga and let me tell you, the cook on the fried tortilla was absolutely perfect. We sampled several drinks and all were made to perfection and you could tell they didnt skimp on the booze. Thrilled for the first time experience. Perfectly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. Certainly will be back, again and again!!!!!!

I went on taco Tuesday and had the enchiladas plate with green chili and two tacos. That was the Best food and service. The place was very clean and everyone was friendly.

Love this locally owned restaurant, I have never had a bad thing from here. The Salsa is always the perfect consistency and not very spicy, just very delicious. They make amazing margaritas, including infused alcohols. They sometimes do a jalapeno tequila thats wonderful in a margarita. Hubby likes the smoked paloma. But the food is always delicious, I can probably get just about anything on the menu and be happy with it :)

I Try and leave good reviews, buts its hard to leave a good review for here. I dont know if its just an off night, but it was the worst Mexican we have ever had. Even the cheese dip was aweful. Water was the best part

I went on a Friday late afternoon, before the dinner rush. I ordered the chili rellenos and I ordered my son the burrito from the kids menu. It was amazing! My toddler ate all of his burrito and two bowls of salsa w/chips, which he has never done at any restaurant. He usually doesnt like the salsa, but their salsa here at this establishment is fantastic! The service was top notch. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I look forward to more visits in the future.

Tortilleria catered our wedding and they did AMAZING!! The food was so much better than your average wedding food, as many of our guests told us. Manny was amazing to work with and always responded quickly and accommodated our needs. Their taco bar set up was exactly what we had in mind (even better, actually) and was also SO tasty! Thank you guys!

Great service and the food was good, too! We ordered a carry out for a big group of 8+and they were fast and efficient. They threw in some extra chips and drinks. They also carried the food out to our car for us. Excellent service!!

The food is good, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are friendly. The tamales are decent, I had pork, but a little heavy with masa. The pork tacos were good, flavorful but the ground beef were a bit too Americanized. The steak tacos were a bit dry. They only use one tortilla per taco, they should use 2. Overall a decent place to eat. I havent tried their Menudo yet, something I look forward to. Its available I believe daily here. Back home in Chicago Heights it was only available on Sundays, this was late 80s/early 90s. I was told it was good for hangovers back then so I tried it. I dont remember if it helped my hangover, but I do remember I really liked it and still do to this day. I have a high expectation when it comes to certain foods, Mexican food is one of them. Generally if they barely speak English, or not at all, the food will usually be very good. Food can be a great way to overcome any language barrier.

Always excellent! Authentic Mexican food. Taco Tuesday was busy but we were served quickly. The $1 tacos were fresh, hot and delicious. A must try for anyone who enjoys Authentic Mexican cuisine.

We wanted to try something different in Springfield on this trip down. We came across Tortilleria Perches. The atmosphere was nice. I ordered the enchiladas with the red sauce. I made a comment about the sauce and one of the owners heard me. He came to the table and asked if everything was ok and said he had heard my comment and had a different enchilada for me to try. He certainly didn’t need to do that but I really enjoyed the ones he brought out and I appreciated it. My husband tried the red sauce and he liked it. It was just a matter of a difference in what we like. The homemade beans are AMAZING. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

The only authentic Mexican restaurant that I know of In Springfield. Lengua (beef tongue) as a choice on the menu for more than tacos. Menudo on the weekends. Tostadas ceviche. Mucho Bien! Great service and a true Mexican restaurant feel. oh, and the only fresh tortillas in Springfield!

Very Busy, alot of people, on Sunday. I had the Torta Dinner. The plate was very full, plenty of Rice & Beans, my Torta was full, the Carne was Salty, otherwise Very Good, also the Beans were Pureed, NOT GOOD GUYS!

We went on a Tuesday. I was sightly disappointed in the taco special but then I realized I got delicious tacos for $1 each. It was a great deal for some good food. Im excited to go back and try out the regular menu.

Brunch on Sunday morning with chorizo burritos, shrimp tostadas and strawberry margaritas could not be any more wonderful and magical at Tortilleria Perches! Highly recommend and is now our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant!!

Its good. I like it. Service wasnt the best. No kick to the salsa and chips was a little bit of a let down. Bean dip was solid. Had a Lengua taco and Lengua quesidilla. Not a fan of the sauces for the taco. Hot but very light on flavor.

I have to say, I was very unsatisfied with the service and food that I received. I have eaten here many times and will not return. From the time we walked in to the time we left, we felt unwelcome. The food taste bad as in old spoiled meat and the spice was overwhelming.

Absolutely terrible I waited for my food well over 35 minutes when I called it in for a to go order and they tell me 10-15 mins I then get their receive my food and due to the fact of me ordering the 16 ounce container not 8 ounce of cheese dip they do not provide the chips how on earth does a Mexican restaurant where you were ordering cheese dip from no matter the size not come with chips. So I have to provide my own chips when ordering food so wrong. Never going back

Fish and shrimp tacos are great! Pork tamales tasty. We also had 3 enchiladas. We got carry out. Everything was packed carefully. We definitely will eat there again.

I was expecting fluffy homemade tortillas when I read they made them in house on their website. They tasted like they were right out of the package. The chicken tamales were so dry and had no flavor. I was very disappointed.

This place is amazing!!! Two older women cook the food and you can tell its done with care and love. They are all so nice there! This place is the best!! And the food tastes fantastic!!!!! Honestly, I dont get why this place isnt crazy popular? Maybe because its slightly hidden. Not sure. But either way, they dont skimp on the meat in tacos/burritos. Veggies are always fresh. Staff is always nice. They messed up one time in all the times we have went there and they IMMEDIATELY MADE IT RIGHT! Plus they gave us a $10 gift card! The people here actually care about their customers! We will continue to come back any time we crave Mexican food! No other Mexican food restaurants measure up!

Heres the deal. Im Mexican. Born in Tijuana, raised in Los Angeles/San Diego and when Im In the mood for authentic Mexican food, this is a good spot. They make their own tortillas, so thats a big plus for me. Happy hour special is great. I only had their carnitas (pork) tacos and have been only once. Will come back and check again. You gotta ask for the really hot sauce, but its 🔥. Their house draft is a collaboration with 4x4 brewing, another local business, and its absolutely fabulous.

Best tamales around!! AND they have pozole!!!

I saw beef cheek tacos so figured Id try them. It was 50% fat and gristle. Had a tripe taco as well, Fairly sub-par. Had 7 tacos total between 2 people and 4 of them were meh... Ended up being 32 dollars at lunch time. Not terrible. But not good either.

Didnt go extravagant as it was a quick lunch but I had the taco plate and my GF has the tamale plate. It was very typical. Nothing to write home about although Ive heard that some of their food is above and beyond these are seemingly catering to just a midwestern average person.

I got a taco salad and underneath it was a bowl of some type of liquid.The pineapple lime meargarita was one of the best margaritas I got and the only reason for the one star. Overall I didnt like the food, the service was not good, and it seemed like certain people got favorited...
