The Quilting Post is the only quilt store in Stillwater; the next closest store is over 30 minutes away in Guthrie. I think that some local quilters- buy here because the shop is the “only game in town” and they have to endure the poor attitude and poor customer service at this shop. The owner and her daughter, the only employees, don’t acknowledge customers or make any attempt to be helpful. Friends who have also shopped at The Quilting Post have also had bad experiences with the shop owner, Terri Gibbs, who has - worse than ignoring shoppers- point blank refused to help customers who asked for her help in selecting fabric or asked for information about fabric. She is most unwelcoming.It doesn’t matter how nice the fabric is or how broad the selection of notions if one feels distinctly unwelcome every time they set foot in the door.Fellow quilters, you will be much better treated at any other quilt shop on Oklahoma! Sooner Quilts in Guthrie has an equal if not larger selection of fabrics and notions and the ladies who work there are so pleasant and helpful. And if you can get to OKC, Oklahoma Quiltworks is the best shop of all !
