They were very nice and super helpful especially nick. They also saw me on short notice which I really appreciate but my issue was the price. My radiator needed to be replaced and they quoted me about 1200 for the radiator replacement package. I ended up going to another place and it cost less than 300. That’s almost a one thousand dollar difference. It just blows my mind.

Worst experience ever! I went to get a car check up about a month ago and not only did I wait 2 hours I had to also wait an additional 30 more minutes! It took forever for my car to get checked. But I understood and waited as long as they got to the service. The whole time my car was not touched until 2 hours 1/2. The check up was FAST around 5 minutes, I immediately doubted if they really did the service. They had all afternoon and left my car until closing time. I didn’t even get my invoice copy receipt. This just proves to me that nothing was done besides the complementary hood check up. I would not give any stars if I could. I DO NOT RECOMMEND coming to this location. They waisted my time and they did whatever they wanted with my car, not what was requested. I am disgusted and dissatisfied of my experience with this location at pep boys. I would drive the extra mile and go else where. The manager Richey was inconsiderate and not complying with the customers request. I cannot explain the frustration and headache, please save yourself the time and pain in the butt to deal with these people.
The service sucks! i went to remove a lock nut and the Technisian cause a damage on my wheel! they only offer me $100 to repair my wheel and I have to waste my time to repair the wheel and after show the ticket to get the reinbursment! the entire staff sucks… I’ll never recomend this place!!
I was in Stockton on a Saturday night when I realized the battery in my Tahoe was dying, I live 3 hours away. Pep Boys got me in on a Sunday for a new battery (auto zone wouldn’t replace it due to a panel of fuses being located over the battery. Even though all you have to do is lift up the panel and replace the battery, no extra work required.) Pep Boys was one of the only places open and got the job done in a timely fashion. The service guy also made sure to check the charging system and pointed out my Tahoe could have an issue that may caused my battery to go bad, which I need to get looked at. Very satisfied with the help I received.
Only stopped here for air in my tires. Very accommodating.

I took my tsx and is250 in for a scheduled appointment for front tires installation. I checked in the tsx first around 11:20am. And then my fiance came with the lexus and checked in 11:43am. If you notice in the images attached, circled in red are the times checked in and out.The tsx took over 2 n a half hrs till i got my car. The store clerk even input an incorrect time-in on my tax.Took 6 hours for my lexus. I even had to make a phone call to check up on the status of my car at 5:19pm and was told that my lexus havent been worked on but should be done by 6:00pm. At 5:40pm, i then got a call to pick up my lexus at 5:40pm. You can see my phone call history in the pictures attached circled in red.Pep boys took that long with my vehicles but couldnt even wipe them clean. In the pictures attached, you can see grease stains on the rims on my lexus. And they couldnt even wipe off the brake dust after touching my tsx rims making a mess.Never going back there.....
They have been pretty consistent and getting the issues taking care of with my husbands and my car.
These guys were not truthful. I explained that my passenger rear wheel was making friction noise while driving. The employee told me that was not the case. Then I overheard a technician, and saw him turning the wheel and pointed that out to another employee. He then discussed with that employee and then they put the tire back on. When I payed for the front brakes I had done, I pointed out if they had noticed that issue on the rb tire. The employee told me no, and that they would have told me. What a bold face lie. Ive been a customer for many years, and so have many of my friends and family. We cant trust this location. Im doubtful about the brake work done too.
This is the worst place do not come here. I only come here because I bought a car and I got an oil change coupon book. But every time I make an appointment I arrive on time and it still takes 2 or 3 hours wait time. And I can’t even wait in the waiting room. What do they want me to do for three hours. Stand outside in the sun this place is the worst. And this place is a mess inside spiderwebs and teach all over the place.Speedee oil change is the best.

My appointment was at 12pm and yes got there 20mins late. My girlfriend was wait since 12:20pm until about 3:20pm for my appointment to come up. He never explained that even though I had a appointment it was still going to take 4 hours before my car could be seen. So I asked for my keys back and took it to meineke where they told me complete information on what could happen and how long it may take. Will not be a returning customer.

Got my tires changed it took over 5 hours and when I finally got done I check the my lug nuts and had lose ones that wasnt even finger tight wouldnt recommend them for anything it took them 2 hours to take my tires off after they pulled it in to the shop

They kept my car overnight with out telling me I was waiting for my oil change to be done and never got a call saying it’s ready. And I called and no answer I can’t pick up my car because it’s closed

Called bother of your Stockton locations and both store brake drum turning machines were broke, or not working or your employees dont want to do there job or dont know how. So had to take my business elsewhere.

The store was filthy, especially during the times of Covid-19 I expected the place to look presentable. There was trash on the floors cobwebs in every window and corner inside the building. The guy answering the phones ignored my presence for two other calls. Will not return.
Ive had problems getting people on the phone to check for parts in stock. They seem to be running with minimal staff. Everyone in the store has been friendly enough and helpful once you are working with someone. I have never used their vehicle services department, thus I can not comment on that portion of the business.

I had an appointment made online for my 2018 Mazda 3 on July 30th, 2020 @10AM at the Pep Boys located on 4987 West Lane, Stockton, CA. 95210. I selected an option to be called prior to the appointment. No call was made from Pep Boys.I called 3 times myself and stayed on the line for about 5 to 10 minutes and no answer. Day of the appointment, I decided to just take my car in and hope they saw that I had an appointment.I brought the vehicle in and my husband gave the worker the key. My husband provided his name and phone number and told the man that we had an appointment. He also told the man that the brakes should be covered by the Hertz dealership. My appointment was scheduled at 10 but on the website, the car was never checked in. Instead my status online said past appointment. My car was not complete until 5:40PM. I had an appointment at 10, why was my car not serviced first and instead left to be serviced at 5:40? If I wanted my car serviced at 5:40 then I would have requested a later appointment time.The mechanic at the desk did not check me in accurately.I picked up my Mazda the following day because of the inconvenience. When I got to the desk, the man hands me the key. It was dirty and not sanitized and bagged like they said they would do on their website. He also does not give me any kind of receipt. No proof of my car being serviced.I look for my car and cannot find it in the lot. The car is still sitting inside their garage. My husband and I approach the vehicle, attempting to unlock it and the mechanic in white stops us . He says we cannot be in the garage, and if we needed something to wait until he was done. We told him we wanted our car. He then says to wait and goes to speak to the man at the desk. Comes back outside and says that the man didnt know our car was still in the shop. He backs it out for us and hands me the key.Several things I noticed was his hands were covered in grease. He did not have a mask on. My cars steering wheel was not covered with plastic, nor were any of the things he touched. Nothing was covered in plastic like advertised on Pep Boys website. The key was dirty and it was not sterilized or put into a bag.COVID protocol was not followed at this shop. If Pep Boys advertises COVID protocol, it should be strictly followed! I dont care how busy this shop is. This was really bad to see.Today, 7/31 I received an email that our appointment was missed and that I needed to reschedule. Like I said, we didnt miss it! The man working at the desk didnt check us in!Multiple problems are addressed here. I had to sterilize the car, and the keys myself. My car also needs a bath now because they got their greasy fingerprints on my window and door frame. I also have to vacuum the driver side rug. This was the worst Pep Boys experience by far. Thanks for treating us this way, Pep Boys.

The staff are very nice and they seem to do a good job. The only thing I dont like is that they dont clean their hands when getting in and out of my vehicle. They leave dirty oil smudges on the door handle grips. My car has a light colored interior so smudges show up easily.
Terrible job. Oil all over everything and the bottom cover thing fell off on the freeway stranding us.

Awesome service department. Bailed me out at 4:450pm on Sunday with a crazy tire change. I showed up 1 hour from closing on Sunday, 400 miles from home with 2 tires full of nails and 1 tire with a damn railroad spike.left with 4 new tires at closing, wouldnt have made it home without them
I arrived at 8 am to drop off my car. It was a walk-in so I didn’t have appointment. I spoke to the manager that works their I didn’t get his name but he said he’s the manager. He told me, since you don’t have appointment it will take approximately 3 hours for just an oil change. Ok, since I’m already here I might as well. 3 hours past I didn’t received any call from manager from Pepboys. So I decided to call and check what’s the status of my car. He then said we haven’t work on it yet but it’s going to be next. I said ok then I’ll wait one more hour. I finally decided to head to Pepboys after 4 hours and hoping it’s finished because it’s just an oil change. Finally I arrived to Pepboys and ask is my car finished then he said no but it’s next to work on. I was frustrated coz now it’s a total of 4 hours. How can you tell me over the phone that it’s next then an hour later when I arrived it’s not even inside getting work on. Super bad service I do not recommend this Pepboys period. I am very disappointed. I will never come back for any service at this location.
Crystal went above and beyond. After picking up my vehicle from the service department, my check tire pressure light came on. I called to let her know I was on my way back and she had a team member meet me to check all the tires. The issue was addressed but she let me know that I could come back the following day if the problem persists.She called me within the hour just to check on the status and make sure everything was ok. She didnt have to do that, but chose to, which made a lasting impression! I will definitely be returning for the additional recommended services.Thanks Crystal and team!

I live in Pacheco but my daughter lives in Stockton, we had a shopping day planned but I also needed an oil change so my daughter recommended Pep Boys on west lane. The guys in the office were great I didnt feel like they were going to take advantage of me. When the mechanic Daniel pulled my car out he wanted to show me that my front tire had metal showing, I was unaware my tire was even going bad, so he replaced it and I was on my way. Thank goodness. I drove 50+ miles back home feeling a lot safer.

Unfortunately I live 40 mins away from this place out in the country, all of our mechanic shops are closed Saturday and Sunday so I decided to call this pep boys around Friday close to closing time. The manager or whoever I talked to insisted that I bring my car in first thing in the morning, so that it could be repaired and serviced. He said he would have more guys working the shop the next day so I said okay. I show up the next morning and go inside. The dude I talked to wasn’t even there, and the people that were apologized but said they didn’t have any mechanic who brought their tools to fix my problem. What do you mean they don’t have the proper tools? You’re a mechanic shop?? Am I going crazy or something? So couldn’t get my car fixed. Was lied to. Never going to this pep boys again
At first I thought he was going to over charge me for him taking so long on my tire I was going to give him a one star but he took off twenty dollars so I give him five star that place is a little to busy so if you have a chance take it some where else if you can. All in all he is fair. Its just Ive never like corporate businesses they have to many rules along with pager work that make them sluggish. He did stay after hours with being honest deserves five star
Pretty amazing place if you need any kind of the auto parts. However, they always change the prices according to the person selling the parts or services. One time, a person gave me one price in the morning and when I came back with the vehicle to get that part installed at that evening, they change the price on that part and service. Not only they changed the price, they rose it quite a bit. When I asked for explanation, they asked do you have a written prove of that price. So, just be careful when you wanna buy something from them.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Horrible experience, I’m writing this review while I’m still waiting for my car to be repaired. My company has a fleet account with this place and they treated me like I owed them something. It was just for a simple flat tire, almost 7 hours later and they still didn’t fix it, their excuse was there under staff, I don’t get how that is my problem as a customer. Overall I will never ever come back to pep boys for anything, not just this pep boys. This one incident ruined my experience with pep boys as a company, I’m a unsatisfied customer.

Very helpful customer service. I was attended by the store manager. I had a tire issue. I figured I would come out with a new tire with a big bill. Store manager gave me a deal. I was happy with it. GOD was with me that night.
TL:DR - Dont believe them when they say youll be first up if you come in at 7:30. Theres still going to be a 3.5 hour wait, for service. Store part has incredible customer service.The store side, is amazing! The reps are more than willing to be helpful. The service side needs A LOT of help. Theyre staff is typically overwhelmed. They need to hire more techs. Also dont believe them when they say if you come in first thing in the a.m., youll be put on the rack immediately! This is a disgusting overstatement. My wife was there atthe 7:20 a.m. with one person in front of her, they didnt get serviced until close to 10:30.

Needs to get new cashiers
I took my truck here for some simple maintenance. Just the replacement of my rear rotors and replacing the rear brakes. It was there for 9 hours before they called telling me that they refused to do only the rear rotors because they considered it “doing the job halfway” the front rotors were fine, and still are. Of course this was going to cost me an extra $1500 to do, which is ridiculous. I told them no and that my girlfriend would be right over to pick the truck up, since I was at work. They proceeded to take an extra 1 /12 hours to put the tires back on and get it off the lift all the while trying to convince my girlfriend to allow them to do the extra work on MY truck after I had told them that I didn’t want it done. Of course all other mechanic shops were closed by this point, so I had to wait through the weekend to do it.
The young man that helped me was very polite and very helpful wish I got his name but pep boys is alot better in costumer service and is a little bit more knowledgeable about parts and whats required for my cars then eurozone and Orielys auto parts!!!

The worst! Installed brakes wrong on my car. They were not properly installed. Be sure to watch them careful with your car. Get a second before they do any work. Go another place! Be safe everyone.

I took my car to pepboys for a water problem turns out it was the thermostat and the housing was leaking they have had my car since fourth of July 8 am tell now get upset when I call to check on the status of my car saying that I still have to wait a couple more hours. For them to finish the job thats costing me 700 plus dollars. For them to tell me they have to check for more leaks when they are done doing the job. The only thing they could say was your car will be done by 7pm when you said you would pick it up. Find them very rude and dont see myself coming back will my car live or die only pep boys knows that they will not have my car done by today it will be till tomorrow I will never get my car back if your going to take your car somewhere take it to Prelude Automotive they have great customer service and crystal at pep boys likes to hang up o people who call to make sure there transportation is going to be covered to work in Oakdale. This place is horrible. It feels like they have taken my car hostage. Pep boys waited till 530 PM to tell me my car was not going to be finished today. They even admitted that prelude Automotive would of had my car on the road faster they have made me look like a fool at my job and when I get rude they get ruder
My son was transferred to Stockton, CA from Missouri and was having car problems. Always in the past, we have had problems on the road and Pep Boys have always come to our rescue and today was no different, except they have a new return customer! My service was taking longer than expected and I was given a ride home and picked up again when my car was finished. Id call that the extra mile...and then some! Great service and great guys! Thank You!
This place is useless. The first time I went here they forgot my appointment, but I decided to give them one more chance. So a week later I had an appointment at noon, waited for WELL OVER TWO HOURS, and they never even got to the point of being able to look at the vehicle. NEVER going to this Pep Boys ever again, and I suggest you dont either. They are disorganized. Find someplace else that actually wants your business!

Had an appointment, total time there was about 1hr 15mins. Can’t complain. Only thing is the place seem understaff. There was only 1 mechanic working while I was there. 2 guys working store side and the manger works at checking people into the shop.
Service center was great. I got there kind of late with a flat tire and they replaced my tire and got me out the door all at a competitive price.

I have been waiting almost 5 hrs by this supervisor who never worked on my car. He left his shift after the time and i finally got fed up and told a worker who just clocked in about my time ive been waiting and she apoligized then jumped on my car asap. He left her alot of work to deal with and i give her props! She should be in his place and this supervisor should be fired. Did everything but his job... Very upset but Im glad that this employee helped me asap.5 stars to the lady!!!

Always research about the type of repair you want to be done first before getting your car fixed in here. I learned it the hard way. Went here to get my gas cap checked. They charge me $100 for it where I could have bought a new cap cheaper.
I went for a oil change at 9:00am, it was 2:00 pm and my car wasnt ready. I called them and they said they needed some information about my vehicle to proceed. But they didnt even bother in calling me to ask for the details of my car. They basically would have left my car there the whole day if I didnt call to find out what was happening. Worst customer service that I have received at this Pepboys.
