My car buying experience was superb. Oliver and Sal were very thorough when going over the vehicles features and also during the financing. I appreciated the fact that I never felt rushed or pushed to buy the vehicle. They have also reached out several times to follow up with me and make sure everything is going well and to see if I had any questions. Would definitely recommend coming here and their prices were lower than all the other surrounding Hyundai dealers!

I will never take my car here ever again. I went in for a inspection because I was concerned about a tire that is making noise. They said they didn’t find anything and if the noise is still there to bring it back. I’m not waiting another 2 hours for nothing. This place has no organization, and they seem to rush everything.

My first time visiting the service dept. I brought my car in response to a service campaign. The wait time was long but I was prepared for that. The young man who assisted me was very courteous and kept me informed during the wait. He even got a jacket out of my car for me when the air conditioning was a little too much for me. I was very impressed with the customer service and that means a lot to me. Im going to assume the update was done correctly. If their customer service standards are reflected in their mechanics you shouldnt go wrong.

I am very disappointed in your service. You programmed an alarm to my car that doesnt even unlock my driver door and charged me $305. You said I needed a diagnosis and tried to overcharge me. I got 3 different prices! $380, 190, and 154. Now which one is it? Thats why people go to backyard mechanics!😡😡😡
Awful experience. Bought a brand new Hyundai Kona Ultimate and the next day the AC stopped working. It took me a week to be able to get in for a service appointment despite it being a BRAND NEW CAR. After going in to get the car diagnosed it took over 3 weeks for them to get the part needed to fix my car. Staff kept giving me inconsistent answers and different delivery dates. They were not willing to explain the situation or provide anything to make up for having spent money for a new car that didn’t work for a month after purchasing it. Staff was also incredibly rude. I was told that calling multiple times wasn’t going to make the part get here any faster by the women who works up front. This was after I was told to expect a call and called the store after it had been 30 minutes after I was told they would call. On other occasions staff would tell me they would call me back and then never call me back. Please save yourself time and go to a different dealership.
We recently bought a plug-in Hyundai ioniq.We knew what we wanted so it was an easy sales job but Ernie did a fabulous job of walking us through the Labyrinth of rebates and credit applications. Overall since purchasing my Limited Edition Sonata 9 years ago, the service I have been provided was good. No complaints. However, this last service this past week did not end well and Im left to deal with an extra expense that the service caused. The manager refuses to take ownership so I am seeking a resolution.
Great experience getting a new Kona from James and Hugo. I was given the best price I had seen from any dealer in California without any hidden extras. They we both very professional and knowledgeable about the car. I came from out of town and James arranged to pick me up from the airport. Definitely recommend.UPDATE: Its been over 5 months since I purchased my new car from Stockton Hyundai, and I still have not received my title or license plates. They made some sort of mistake while registering my vehicle and have been somehow unable to sort out the problem. Im driving around with no plates (the paper temp plates disintegrated months ago) and no way to prove I own the vehicle, unable to sell the car even if I wanted to. Their business office does not respond to my constant messages and inquiries. Extremely unprofessional. After the deal is done you become out of sight out of mind I guess. Buyers beware.
Nice people in service. They did a warranty replacement on my engine. They had my car for 4 months which wasnt upsetting because I knew delays were caused by Covid-19 stuff. I would have given 5 stars except they returned my car to me filthy on the inside and out. To be fair it wasnt clean when they got it but there were spider webs in my car when I picked it up. There was a blue film on the inside of my windshield that was difficult to clean. You had my car for months you could have at least cleaned it.
I popped in unexpectedly, after I had a hybrid system failure while driving on the freeway. I contacted Stockton Hyundai and they said to tow it right there.It has been about 3 years since I have been there, as I get oil changed elsewhere. However, I walked in and Xavier immediately recognized me and even remembered my name. This guy is a class act. Although my car is now past warranty, he still fought to get it covered. Hyundai wasnt having it, but I truly appreciate the effort.I was given a promise date and price. Not only did they get it done a day early, it came in slightly under the estimate. My only gripe, is that the mechanic forgot to completely closed the hood. Had it not been for a really windy day, I would not have noticed it. It could have been worse, but it was caught before anything happened.Aside from that I love Stockton Hyundai and I love my car. After 110,000 miles, this is the first time I have had a problem...and it didnt break the bank. Thats reliability that will keep me around for a long time.

We took our Genesis in to Stockton Hyandi for the 60,000 mile check up. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The gentleman in the service department was very efficient and got our service going right away. He explained the different types of service and wasn’t pushy in trying to talk me into more than I needed. Simply gave me the info and let me decide what I wanted done. Everyone we dealt with from start to finish was very friendly.
The agent, sales specialist, and contract agent were patient, friendly & resourceful. It made the shopping process smoothly and they answer all my questions.

Dropped my vehicle off for a recall and a few other service needs. Brian the Service Manager was great! He set up my appointment and met with me to discuss everything when I dropped my vehicle off. When I called in that afternoon to get an update on my vehicle there were a few miscommunications relayed over the phone that resulted in alot of frustration but when I arrived I spoke directly with Brian he clarified what was done to my vehicle along with their findings. He provided me excellent customer service.
Took the car in 2 weeks ago with 4 issues [2 recalls and 2 warranty]. Told them we were leaving the state at the end of September. one phone call 5 days in saying they ordered the parts. No communication since. Called yesterday and the said the parts were on backorder nation wide. But they hadnt called any local dealers to see if they had the parts nor had they bothered to tell us of the issue.
My car was having issues after having it for 1 month and I was able to call and have them take a look at it. They were able to figure out the issue and have it ready for me the next day. Quick and easy service!

Service staff members professionalism was what you would expect if you dropped off your car with your arch nemesis - who also happened to be 10 years old. Agent was snotty, short, argumentative, belittling, and continuously talked over me when I had questions about the service/bill/history of the work done on my car at that very same location when I didnt have issues. Left a voice mail with the service manager, but have not heard back - perhaps the training required for that branch may be more of a top-down issue than a single rogue experience. Will be taking my business to a (farther) Hyundai dealership with better customer service (I have a service/maintenance contract with plenty of time/miles left on it - those are easy, sure thing accounts for a dealership, as they can charge a full price to the contract, and make a higher profit). Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this one until they get their head on straight.

Didn’t have my car ready after 3 phone calls confirming my appointment. My EV’s battery was dead. The car still isn’t cleaned and had streak marks from where the dirty rag was used. Had to wait 6 hours before I even got the car even tho I didn’t all the pre paperwork before my forgotten about appointment.
Just got off the phone with a NEW finance employee and he is BEYOND RUDE!!!DO NOT go to this dealership if you want to be treated respectfully!!! Zamir Amin you are the WORST finance person EVER! Shame on you for having no training in dealing with customers in a respectful manner!WHAT A RIP OFF! Beware of your contract items, they add on optional things to beef up the total price of your purchase without explaining it thoroughly. For instance, they added an extended warranty through ALLY which we asked more than once whether that warranty would run concurrent with the factory warranty on the vehicle we were purchasing or if the extended warranty would begin after expiration of the factory warranty. The finance manager Abdul Akbar assured us it would NOT run concurrent to factory warranty. Why on earth would ANYONE have double warranty on any vehicle??? it cost us an extra $3500 and an extra $1999 for maintenance which was also covered under the cars factory warranty.
We got worse than out of towers service. They would not return calls, the single voice mail we got stating that they werent bothering taking photographs for the insurance adjuster because hed just want to come out and take them himself. After 2+ weeks of next to no contract they took our car to the salvage yard (had been totalled) without even asking us. We had had to talk to our insurance to find out what they did to our car. We then had to drive to the salvage yard to get our stuff from the vehicle, and our fast track was missing. We live little over an hour away. In short - dont use them if you expect to keep you car and discuss options.

Very immature and rude. Came in trying to buy a car and they disrespected my grandma and my sister. Price went down by first by 1k then they came back and raised it 4k by original price. They tried to explain some math sequence which I don’t what level of education they have but it’s definitely not over middle school level. Very rude and disrespectful wouldn’t buy here. Take your business elsewhere!

Our time here was long because we changed our interest from a Tuscon to a larger Santa Fe.Hugo was helpful in showing us features on both vehicles with various levels of upgrades and colors.Hyundai of Stockton has a large inventory compared to other dealers we went to that had NO new SUVS to look at, much less test drive.Brian was the person who helped us finalize everything. He was patient and worked with us on pricing and our SUV trade in.Zamir, the Financial gentleman also was very helpful. He gave us greater insight into the financial end of things and made the paperwork less stressful.My wife took the Santa Fe to the service area on Tuesday to allow themto detail it. Brian and Hugo made sure that it was done correctly. My wife is extremely happy with Hugos attention to the quality of their work.Overall we recommend this dealership to others. We know that the Service Department will hold up to this same service level.

No IntegrityThy offered a vehicle on their site for $12,788. I offered to purchase it cash. They agreed to sell it to me but I had to wait for the engine to be replaced. I kept in contact with them from February, on a weekly to monthly basis until finally the parts (gaskets) they were waiting for came in and they finished the job in August. They notified me it was ready to go now, but the price was $15,800. They said because it has a new engine - but that was the understanding all along. Further, the new engine had NO warranty. It was an older vehicle and AS IS. No integrity, no accountability. Cant be trusted to do what they say.
Stephen was great he made sure that any issue that came about when financing my car he took care of! He definitely handled business, He worked all day to make sure the best option for me was chosen ! And I had a few things pulling against me but I expressed how badly I needed a car and he made sure that I left in one ! This was by far the worst experience i have EVER had. They had my car for almost 2 months. I had to call them at least 6 times a day to get through to someone. They took NO ownership of anything. The delay in part delivery is understandable especially during a pandemic but the HUGE over the top lack of communication is NOT a pandemic issue, its a management issue. Even corporate could not get a hold of them to get updates. Save yourself alot of headaches and choose a different location to work with.
Went in to get a recall taken care of also got my oil changed. Edgar was very helpful as always. They checked out my car made sure everything was good. The really cool thing was after I left something got stuck in my tire and was losing air quick I came back and they patched it up for me.

James Garvin... disappointing. Via a phone call James verbally agreed Stockton Hyundai would be able to sell a vehicle at MSRP. When I showed the next morning, they were singing a different tune. Long story short, found a dealership with integrity that provided a price over the phone and honored it when I arrived. I drove away with a 2022 Kona EV sold at MSRP.From James - We informed you ahead of time that the 2021. Kona EV was available at MSRP and not the 2022. We even sent a text the day before and the quote we sent on the 2022 reflected the correct price. Congratulations on your Kona EV.No, you told me via a phone call friday evening you could do the 2022 at MSRP. Saturday morning you stated that deal was only available on Friday. Honor my time Ill honor yours, treat me with respect, Ill do the same to you.

They take to long to get repairs done, in addition they rarely have the parts needed for your car repair so you have to wait even longer. I brought my car in clean it was freshly washed. I got it back filthy and I thought owning a Genesis gives you some type of perks but I guess not with Stockton Hyundai. I didn’t feel like a priority customer. I only go there cause they are the closest but I’m seriously thinking of just driving to Tracy and see how there service department is.

We bought a used car and worked with Carlos. He was a great salesman! No pressure, very knowledgeable and personable. He made the process as smooth and quick as possible, although it still took a while. The only negative to us is that my husband asked if they could fill the car up with gas (it had half a tank) and the response was “I’m sorry, we don’t do that for used cars.” The response indicated that had we purchased a new car we would have gotten a full tank of gas. I believe a customer is a customer no matter what they are purchasing, and it was off-putting to feel like we weren’t good enough to have a full tank. It’s a small thing, but for us we had driven a long way to get the car and could have chosen another dealership to buy from, but we chose Hyundai Stockton. A customer wants to feel valued. Other than that and the paperwork taking much longer than it should have given we were paying cash, it was a pleasant experience and a very nice dealership.
Yes!! It was a great experience! I just came to get my car appraised and Ernie swayed me into getting a Sonota, which I loved. Then Brian came in and sealed the deal, gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Looool sounds kinda cliche but it was great!! 10/10Would recommend, really friendly people and really attentive!

I really want to rate them higher. But, I cant because they initially told me they werent hearing the screeching sound my car was making, to telling me it sounded normal, to eventually telling me that, yes, my car does indeed need a new transmission. Also, over the 3-4months that they had my car, I had to initiate every follow up to find out what was going on. Although the warranty covered the rental, it didnt cover the gas, and the rental I got had 1/3 the gas mileage. Had I known it was going to take so long, I wouldve made a better effort at getting a rental that had much better gas mileage.
Carlos took care of me from the moment I walked into the store up to the moment I left. He kept checking in with me, made sure I was comfortable, shared information along the way with the processing of my application and maintained professional. I will definitely return when my lease is up and ask for him to help me again!

So because of a knocking engine, and a recall for sonatas because of this issue. I had to get my engine swapped. Thankfully it and a rental car was covered for, but when I was called yesterday, I was told it was done and the car was ready to be sent home. However, when I turned on the car, the check engine light was on. So it is still there right now. Im waiting to see why after having a new engine put in, the light would be on. And why, I would be told it would be ok to be sent home if the light was on still to begin with.
From the time I arrived to leaving with my car I was treated wonderfully. Hugo greeted me and was very attentive. Showed me what I was asking for and then went above and beyond to give me additional items that I never thought of. He was very professional. Will send all I know here.

I arranged a test drive for a Veloster N at Stockton Hyundai about a month ago. We made a four hour round trip to look at the car. The price was fairly high, over original MSRP despite ~17k miles, but my current car needed expensive repairs and I was willing to pay extra. I had the title for my trade-in with me and was ready to purchase.When we arrived, the sales person (Jay) was great. However, the car had significant body damage that was not disclosed on the listing or when I called, probably in the range of $2-4k to fix. The interior was a complete mess, dirt everywhere. Somehow the entire engine bay was full of dust, like someone had taken it rallying in the desert. They claimed they just got the car and hadnt had time to clean it, two days after I scheduled the appointment.The test drive was a five minute loop that made it very difficult to get any sense of the car, and didnt include any highway driving. Despite that, the Veloster N was fantastic and I was intent on purchasing it.Things really went downhill when I was transferred to the finance person. The first price offered was more than $6k over the listing, excluding taxes and registration ($40k for a car that sold for $29k 3 years ago!). The increase was from dealer add-ons and fees, half of which they refused to remove. They would not give me a cash price at all, and refused to discuss APR before running a hard credit check. The price they offered for my trade-in was half what I was offered at CarMax and two other dealers.Hyundai designed an unbelievably good car that is utterly ruined by the dealership experience. Purchasing that car would have been a ten thousand dollar mistake.
I drive here over an hour because folsom hyundai is shady. The Stockton location is always straight-forward, quick, responsive, and everybody there is personable. I purchased my first new vehicle through them and I go there for all of my services. Thanks for everything! Will buy from here again 👍
!!!Do not buy from here, they are the most unprofessional dealership I have been to!!!I visited this dealership to purchase a Veloster N last week. As theyre in short supply of this vehicle; they required that I have my credit checked prior to a test drive and to agree to the price of the vehicle. I agreed to both of those, and when the time came to do the test drive, the sales manager brought out a new price sheet that included the MRSP and a $2995 markup that we had agreed on, and additionally had ann Item called StarGuard as an option. He explained to me that even though it was listed as an option, the sales manager would not sell me the vehicle without it, effectively making this a Mandatory option. They refused to let me test drive the car, even after running my credit per their policy. A few days later, I received a text message where they were offering me the vehicle (apparently it had not sold to any of the 3 or 4 buyers the had lined up), when I told them about my negative experience and that I would only come back if they were willing to sell the care without the hidden mandatory options the only reply from Brian Blakey was lol.Do not buy from here, they are the most unprofessional dealership I have been to. Take your money elsewhere, you should not deal with scumbags like these guys, especially when making such a large purchase.
They coincidently make little oopsies that will cost the life of your car. Stay away from this dealership. Bascally evil little kids with no responsibility running this place. Ruined my seals and my camshaft because I trusted them with a simply oil change. Evil little kids wont pay for anything unless I take them to court.

Xavier was an amazing rep! The 4 stars is for my headlights and break lights not being checked when I was told they were. They were out but passed inspection.....

The only reason I gave it two stars instead of 1 is because I love the front desk.2 hours for a simple oil change, and I had an appointment, this made me late for my work meeting.I will never schedule service on Friday again

Everyone I spoke with was very friendly. There was plenty of room in the waiting area, and I was there for 1.5 hrs when I expected to be there longer. I took a star off because I read on the website that when I came in for a recall, my car would be returned to me washed, and it wasn’t. That was disappointing.
For the first time after buying cars for years, I was in and out in three hours with a good deal. Sal and Hugo great service, not too much pressure. Great experience
