Ridiculously slow I needed 2 joists and for some reason it takes 3 desk people and numerous yard workers more than an hour to accomplish this.

Worked here and quit because I was set up for failure. Worked as a triple saw operator and stacker.They say high school diploma or ged/equivalent and was train by someone who didn’t know English or how to read paperwork nor a measuring tape but drove the forklift which I attended to sign for in the first place. The main guy in charge took a vacation so they had a random fellow training me and half of the time i didn’t understand him. Great benefits though.

Not a good place to work at! Ill say that much! Its not like a family there! They let me go because I got a rested and missed 4 days some family. I helped them by working hard and thats how they helped me. By letting me go!

Terrible customer service. Stood outside at will call for 25 minutes before handling my own order. After I loaded my truck an employee came to “verify that I got the correct Lumber”.

I purchased 63 2x3 8 boards for a trellis. I paid to have them planned. The boards were horrible. I threw away 11 of them. I dont think they were planned. I wanted them planned so I would not have to sand them, and I would up sanding them anyway. Many were cracked and chipped very badly. I bought some at Lowes to replace the bad ones from Golden Valley, they were not planned and 10x better than the ones from Golden Valley. I will say the customer service was very good and friendly, but the quality of boards was not.
