They have a decent selection of frames to choose from. I do not recommend Stanton Optical if it is your first time getting glasses or contact lenses. Stanton Optical isn’t exactly professional when it comes to their eye exams. Neither are they good at helping you understand how to properly fit in your contact lenses, they just let you figure it out on your own, “Watch a YouTube video”. Yet, they will charge you $89 for “professional services”. Do not fall for their promotional offers either, you’ll still pay a lot after the eye exam. My promotional offer was not honored and i had to pay way more than originally stated. Stanton Optical is more concerned with making sales if I’m being honest. I highly suggest you visit another place.

FORGET ALL THE BAD STUFF YOU READ!!! They are under new management, and I had an excellent experience. The staff was professional and courteous, and I was done with my exam in less than thirty minutes. Highly recommend

Today I picked up my glasses from Stanton optical I brought two other glasses in with me the man that helped me his name was Casey He’s the eyeglass technician The two glasses that I brought in with me we’re all bent out of shape wouldn’t stay on my face kept falling off Casey knows what he’s doing he’s had a lot of years experience and he fix my glasses better than they were new not only did he fix my glasses he didn’t charge me any thing real nice guy to talk to. I recommend you ask for him if you’re going to Stockton branch. Two thumbs up! 👍👍

I’m giving five stars for the absolutely above and beyond service from Casey. I came in to see the doctor because my trial contact lens weren’t comfortable but the doctor was booked for the day so I was advised to see Casey. He really went above and beyond to help me out and I left the store happy. Casey definitely needs to be recognized for his excellent customer service!

Got a email to pick up my kids glasses. drove 2 hour to the store guess what? nothing they supposedly made a error and blaming delivery company. and the guy I talk to on the phone had the nerves to hang up on me when I called stay away from this place. I promise cooperate will hear from me

I’ve been coming here for a few years and I’m super happy every time I leave! Today I came in with a pair I didn’t know if they were Gonna be saveable but Sandra was able to work some magic and I left with a great functional set ! She is always real good with repairs or adjustments and super knowledgeable on the questions I’ve had other girls help me before but they usually end up grabbing her for help. All the ladies do a great job tho! Keep it up Stockton team !

When I arrive for my appointment I was greeted at the door and helped immediately. My representative was Amera And she was extremely helpful. She did not hesitate to explain thoroughly and make sure that I got the correct lenses I needed. Than after waiting 20 min or so the 2nd girls takes us back to do the exams dont seem to kno what shes was doing. The girls were great but the company get 4stars because I was promised my glasses same day by a call center rep and I get to the store to find out that wasn’t true they don’t have the stuff to make them there (super disappointing) buuuttt since the girls were amazing and helped me fined some glasses I LOVE I decided to stick it out I picked up my glasses I’ve had them 2 days so far and I’m super glad I did great job girls happy customer and a lifelong customer gained for sure !

I came in yesterday and was price checking a few places with so many deals out there I wanted to weigh out my options. I met with Sandra and Sidney and both lovely girls super nice and helpful! Definitely decided to come back today not only because Sandra was able to work out a great deal for me and my spouse (as well as my Walet LOL) but because the customer service was phenomenal super excited to finally upgrade my script and be able to see again

I came in today and was helped by two young ladies named Vanessa and Tamberlynn they were such a great help, both multitasking. I definitely think they should both get more recognition considering how busy they were and how they got through everyone so efficiently.

Went in to get an exam a about week ago, the dr was very thorough. The girl helping me, was greatly advise what lenses material was best for my prescription. The team there is great, kept everything sanitized.

Very pleased with this location my wife and I came to get new lenses due to scratches. Sandra was nice enough to assist us and Provided us with upgrades on our lenses. Highly recommend.!

Absolutely blow away by the costumer service of the employees and store cleanliness here but, I give Miss Tamberlynn an 11/10 rating, she was extremely helpful as well as very professional and suited to my needs perfectly. As previously stated be prepared to pay more than advertised. I came in to purchase additional contact lenses and was given advise by the receptionist who claimed her opinion was valid optomical advice. She was confident I needed a new eye exam even though I still had 6 months left on my previous eye exam prescription. I requested to speak with the optometrist, but was only given second hand information so I asked to see where the optometrist had given such directions. She continously said you dont want to know what he said making it clear something wasnt right. For those looking for quality please stay far away from this place. Terrible experience.

I am so not happy with Stanton optical theyre unorganized the customer service people are rude they dont return phone calls they lose your order thenexpect you to absorb the cost. Theyre online people dont work with the in-store people so you get screwed out of that extra savings Im so unhappy with these people this company I dont recommend it my recommendation to stay away deals arent that good like I said the people are not that friendly bad all bad and let me add that number the 1-800 number or whatever theyre no help either they tell you things that they dont know anything about. Bait and switch! Deceitful. Rude, lies to people over the phone. I live over an hour away from this store so I called first, and I asked over the phone, if they accept my insurance and was told YES. When I arrived, the rude, condescending manager said NO they dont. They lied and she said they lie to everyone just to get them in the store. Our time isnt important or valuable to them. Disgraceful

Worst experience ever!!!I broke my glasses in half, Costco’s optometrist was not in so I called Stanton. Big mistake!!First, before seeing the optometrist the form says it’ll be $45 for the exam, then the receptionist tells you it’s actually $95.They are always advertising the special of 2 for 1 glasses, still I payed $460 for two pairs of bifocals😳and I’m not talking progressive lenses. They are not as affordable as they make it sound.After a week, I brought them back, told them I couldn’t see clearly and I was getting headaches from wearing them.Their customer service is awful, the optometrist started asking all kinds of questions, my guess is that he didn’t believe me. After arguing with him for about 10 min, he finally found the problem, he sent one pair back to get fixed first. It took about 10 days to get my glasses back, they were better.I took the second pair back to get fixed and I run into the most rude and unfriendly assistant manager I’ve ever encountered in my life!!She, again, asked all this questions, when I told her that everything she needed was already in the computer, we’ll, she got an attitude! Again like I was lying to her, and nobody was going to tell her, the assistant manager how to do her job!!!She sent the second pair to get fixed and guess what? It took more than a month to get them back, coincidence????This is the last time I will be using Stanton for anything!!

I was shocked to see how the store is now ran and the employees didn’t do anything to help. They didn’t offer any help, offer any add ons or insurance. When I picked up my prescription rep didn’t adjust or or see if I could see she just handed them to me in this cheap case! And selection is horrible!!!

I went into Stanton optical very skeptical of what I was going to experience based on some of the reviews. Turned out to be a very pleasant experience . All the girls there were very helpful from the beginning to the end . I feel like we don’t leave reviews if we have actually had a good experience, so I feel like they deserve to be recognized . I would definitely recommend, the prices were fair, they had the 59.95 that they advertise and they also had the bogo deal if you’re willing to spend more money, they cater to all. I wish I could give this company negative zero stars! Once again I have encountered misinformation AFTER paying for services and products from Stanton Optical. I have rotated between glasses, clear and colored contacts for the past 35 years! When I went in for my exam I informed the employee helping me that I would like to also order colored contacts at a later date. I called in today and was told I would need a NEW exam because my current contact lens prescription expires in June! I was told that if I had ordered the colored contacts within 60days of the initial exam I would not have had to pay. So I asked why was I NOT ADVISED of this when I initially came in?? So after they had my glasses sitting in there office for MONTHS because no one called to let me know they were there, now THIS. DO yourself a favor and stay away from this company!!! Especially if you have insurance, use it somewhere else!

The service there was really good. I really liked how one of the workers, Vanessa, had helped me out, seeing as I had been advised to go there, and it was my first time being there. She was really kind and had covered all of the questions and concerns I had.

Very unprofessional, they try to get all the money they can in one visit, my husband and I came here for contacts his first time,and my second time . Ive always had designer prescription glasses. Not once did they exsplain to my husband to process and the dos and donts he was having a very hard time putting them in and all they did was try to hurry me up to pay . Now second day in we found out he doesnt like daily just trying to get us a full year to match what I paid not to to save me money. Saying oh dont insult my intelligence, yea ok sweetie I can do your job. Just stand around talking and gossiping super ghetto STAY AWAY ... No customer service and no professionalism shown here.

Today 10-16-2020 I visited this place,four young ladies just telling jokes among themselves I suppose because they laughed a lot, none approached me to ask what I needed I approached them to ask my questions. In these difficult days more customer service is needed to clean some lenses that customers want to try on and clean them before putting them back because of the COVID-19 problem. ( zero cleaning ) please more customer attention ladies.

I am unable to give any stars, but, had to choose one so this will post.. This was the worst experience of customer and service. The clerks were not customer service oriented nor informative. It has been 4 weeks in expectation of my new pair of glasses. I was never notified of the status of my glasses. I had to call and then reached their answering service on all instances. I was give a lame excuse as to why the other glasses have not arrived. Again, I was never notified either by call, text, or email which they had. Perhaps a refresher in customer training is warranted.

One star is far to generous of a rating for this dump. The manager has no fundamental understanding of customer service and instead believes that flippant excuses for lack of customer satisfaction somehow will lessen the outrage you will develop once they RIP YOU OFF. Only a FOOL would knowingly do business with these unprofessional, rude, and obnoxious incompetents. Do yourself a big favor and just throw your money in the garbage can out front. You will be more satisfied and less angry with the outcome.

PSA:NOTICE: I would definitely encourage you to check your insurance PROVIDER LIST IN ADVANCE!. To their credit, they did take the time to get my services Attempt to preauthorized my insurance. HOWEVER, my company changed from VSP to UNITED HEALTH. But what was bothersome to me and thus the poor rating they are NOT a United Health provider. It was in their office that I discovered my company had changed vision providers and thus obvious I knew nothing about my vision insurance. When I suggested that I might pay for my exam today out of pocket and bill my insurance, she DID NOT INFORM ME THAT THEY WERE NOT A UNITED HEALTH PROVIDER. I thought I would just get my exam today and wait on my glasses but the cost of an exam alone was $95.00 rather than the $59.00 for the exam and glasses. It was then I decided to wait. Upon coming home and looking into my insurance, apparently you have to register from a computer, not a mobile device I discover they were not on my provider list. It was very disappointing to me that their insurance person was not more forth coming to me regarding their provider status with United Health and was willing to take my money knowing they were not a network provider. Upon leaving she asked me to keep them in mind for the future, after this customer experience of course I will not. Had she be honest with me, her integrity would have made me recommend them to everyone, but her willingness to allow me to spend money I did not have to just to get me in the office will make me never willing to use them or chose them for now that I have my insurance all straightened out. If they became a provider in the future I would still never choose them again. Any company willing to do business at this cost, is not a company I will do business with. Treat your customers the same way you want them to treat you when you come in their business!

Ahmad provides outstanding customer service and is very friendly/approachable. This was my first ever eye exam and picking out glasses. He was very patient and helped me decide on which frames suited my face best. He was even so kind as to show me his own sunglasses to make sure I wanted polarized lenses! I appreciate how helpful and knowledgeable he was. If you go here I definitely recommend having him assist you! I love my new glasses! 👓🕶

Made same day appt for exam after finding them on Google, total disaster.. The selection for the free eye exam and 2 pair for $59.00 are ONLY 6 pair of female glasses of neon colors. Needed for a 9 yr old male.. Never was advised that was the choice at first, after selecting 2 pair and was being charged $300.00...I DONT THINK SO!!Never was advised the Dr would be talking to us thru a video call, I was advised after walking in that if I dont purchase glasses from them I would have to pay the 98.00 eye exam fee.. OK.. So after wrongfully being told the selection was the 2 rows on the main aisle for the special, never mention ONLY the 6 pair of neon cookies were the selection to choose from.. The inventory was totally OUTDATED..I paid the eye exam fee and kindly took my prescription, went to COSTCO and was able to get 2pair with transitional lenses and comes with scratch guard all for 169.00.. The inventory was AWESOME..STAY AWAY FOR STANTON OPTICAL!!!

Seriously, the worst customer service ever. I called Ian answered the phone. I was trying to explain my situation which was is an emergency. I asked him to repeat himself and he mocked me. He repeated himself in extra slow motion.Said that he would transfer me to the from desk, which he did then the receptionist said “can’t buy in store!” And hung up. Did not say hello or hear my story. Just hung up. It’s so sad !

These people got me waiting to long for my glasses. 1st i was told it was gonna take 5-6 business days and when i came back the 6th day the lady said itll actually be 10 business days. I never waited this long at eyeglass world which i highly recommend.

The optician casey he is very nice help us with everything we need it he answear our questions and gave us tips on how to care for eyewear to last longer. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. I repeat DO NOT GO to this place. Today my husband and I came in to get our eye exam. I asked them on the phone beforehand if they accept our insurance and they sure did and it is in-network, so I only should be paying our co-pay for the eye exam right? But no! So after the exam they are billing me $95 just for the exam and not my co-pay. Or they gonna give me a big discount if I get my glasses from them and just pay the amount of $95+ tax with glasses thats worth no more than $99. After going back and forth about my payment, all they told me is to just ask my insurance for reimbursement and send them the receipt of what we paid for today.Oh and one more thing, the doctor didnt even bother sanitizing the equipment before making me put my chin and forehead on it.. So, just go somewhere else that wouldnt lie to you and rob your hard earned money. The people here doesnt know what they are doing.

@stantonoptical I have had the worse service from the 6539 pacific ave. Stockton ca 95209 office. Addy and Sandra are the most unprofessional employees that you may have. I have been trying to get in touch with Ed the regional manager for about 2 weeks and I havnt heard from him or cooperate. My messages are not getting forwarded to them. This has been by far the experience ever that I have ever had in my lifetime. I have been hung up on by Sandra and told me my needs and to do’s were not going to be done when I told her she needed to email Ed. To contact me. Addy the most unprofessional manager made assumptions on my ill brother that he was intoxicated and that’s why she treated him the way she did at his appointment. Refused to give him a receipt and told him she owned the store. Not true! At all! I called customer service many times was on hold for 2 hrs have screen shots to prove it o my for them to hang up on me “on accident” when you Look this store up they have. 1.5 star rating. The reviews are horrific!! I can’t believe these are are there running the store and giving the worse service and putting a bad name on Stanton! How is this even ok?! How can I get in touch with someone at cooperate??? ! They lied and said my brother was spoken to about his order on the 21st! He was in the hospital. That didn’t happen. He couldn’t even talk. Dolores was such a Joy and so helpful and one of the nicest people I have come across!! She helped me on getting the right contacts and she explained everything PERFECTLY. I felt very comfortable with her like she was a family member! Diana was AMAZING as well she helped me to get the contacts in and out and was very helpful too. Dr. Tracy is awesome and was so nice and answered all my questions and was very Thorough with my exam and the best eye doctor Ive been too. By far the worst consumer experience I’ve ever hadPaid $366 for 2 pair of glasses. A pair for distance and a pair of readers. Waited nearly three weeks and was presented with two pair of distance glasses, no readers, in the wrong frames, with an incorrect prescription in both pair. I refused to accept them and requested a refund. I was denied and told their policy is to fix the situation by retesting and reordering, they don’t just “give refunds”. Although their brochure states “if you’re not satisfied they will be able to issue a refund”. I told them they made 3 errors in one order, and I was not interested in retesting and waiting another 20 days for them to try and fix “their” mistakes. I explained that I simply wanted a refund and I would seek my vision care elsewhere. The manager became extremely combative and argumentative and said that’s not the way it works here. This person has no business in a customer service position. Rather than trying to resolve the situation, she initiated an argument in a room full of clients. And because I refused their offer of remaking my order and demanded a refund, I was asked to leave the building.’, without any refund or offer to resolve my complaint any further. Sadly 2 people behind me in line were also returning due to wrong prescriptions. This business and its entire staff are grossly incompetent and are the most unprofessional people I’ve ever experienced in any consumer situation. I’ve still yet to receive a refund of my $366.00. Total rip-off. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE but here...

This is my second review on Stanton Optical. Opinion did not change.. These are worst people, we are talking.. my first is on theirs on Modesto. First, we felt we were cheated, as they have not put up the cost of the eye test (contacts). They have very outdated, old, poor collections. They are not transparent. will not complain about the employees, because that is how they are trained to operate.. Better stay away..

Dont do it, dont do it! Their video doctors are not accurate in their prescription plus they will overcharge you on purpose. If your into being taken for your money then they will happily assist you. The only reason why I was reimbursed was because I contacte their corporate and filed a complaint via BBB...challenge my review and I will post my BBB complaint plus the information from Stanton Corporate about my refund

My daughter needed glasses and her insurance is limbo and I am on a limited income and Delores was amazing and more than a blessing she understood my situation and she was able to get me a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for my 9 year old for $129 out the door. Thank you for being kind and having such wonderful Customer Service.I walked into this business believing I was getting 2 frames at the $59.95 price as advertised on television. When I called to schedule my appointment the gentleman on the phone quoted me $39.95 for a contact prescription as well, confirmed the $59.95 for two frames plus glasses prescription. (No mention that it is on frames $20 and under only. This is in small print at the bottom of their website) I was thrilled and booked my appointment for the next available.When I arrived, I was told the contact prescription was Quoted wrong by Corporate and the price would be $89.95. I declined at the sheer audacity that they were going to charge me $50 more than their Corporate price. Manager, Israel, stuck to his Corporate quoted you wrong and refused to honor the Corporate price of $39.95. They conducted my eye exam and then sent me to their showroom to pick out frames, leaving me to my own devices. The frames available to me where Neon Yellow, Neon Orange, and Neon Green. (disgusting). Manager, Israel Ochoa, came over to assist and notified me that there was a Buy one, Get one Free deal. I asked him the price to put the lenses in my frames, Like $30 is what he said. I was satisfied and picked out two frames. Dolores then sat down with me and revealed the end price of $330!!! WTF?!? I asked for a manager and got Israel. I walked into this business thinking I would be paying $100 MAX, instead this scumbag tried charging me 3x that amount! He continued to blame Corporate for quoting me lower than the prices he sets for his store. Never once acknowledging that they baited me with one price and delivered a COMPLETELY different price. Unacceptable. I was able to talk him into the two frames I wanted and the original $30 that he quoted to put BASIC lenses in EACH pair of glasses. Do not be fooled by their advertisements. Complete bait and switch on this locations part. Total price: $200. Nowhere close to my original estimate given. Id give zero stars if I could.

I decided to visit on a weekday afternoon on a whim. I ended up getting an eye exam (which comes free when you purchase eyeglasses) and walking out with three new pairs of specs. The wait time for my eye exam was short, and staff were friendly.Dr. Nguyen was happy to answer any questions I had. While Ahmad was very helpful and eager to help us get a good deal. I would recommend others to come to this Stanton Optical!

Dolores is a very good employee. She’s also bilingual which helped my mom because she only speaks one language which is Spanish. She is also a very attentive employee who was very honest and was very helpful toward helping my mom picking out her eyeglasses. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who’s looking for a place to get their eyes checked out.

The first time I came in service was great, thats why I didnt doubt in coming back for my eye exam, however the experience wasnt the same. I had my apt Fri evening when I got there the Dr had left already, so I agreed to reschedule for next day, I came in on Sat I didnt have my insurance car with me but the ladie in the back wasnt even trying to get my info, anyway Im not returning, looking for another place .

This is the best place to get your prescription glasses or contact lenses. The customer service was amazing from the moment I walked through the door. I felt I had an excellent exam with everything thoroughly explained. Thanks Ahmad and Dr. Nguyen!

Great place with great glasses for cheap. Got TWO pair and an eye exam! Just went back in and they repaired my glasses for free. Workers were very nice!

Every time I go into this place the staff are the most upmost professional and willing to help you. Today when I went in I was blown away by Dolores for her astounding professionalism that she displayed. She was very courteous and hard working. I went here for my exam before & it was fast, easy, & non-expensive. So when it came time for my son to get an exam I chose here. He definitely needed glasses, but with my budget & everything I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to afford glasses for him. Luckily, the staff person we were working with & the manager, discussed our options & totally made it accommodating for us. They were so helpful & so nice! I recommend this place definitely! Ahmad was amazing! He helped us through purchasing my daughters first pair of glasses, we were on a strict budget so I had my worries about additional hidden costs. He was very detailed and honest when explaining prices and add ons and gave even helped me get what she needed while staying within my budget. I highly recommend Stanton Optical, make sure you ask for Ahmad for great customer service.

Mr. Ahmad Elsayed was extremely polite and concerned when I approached him with a problem with my glasses today. He was able to find a frame that my lenses fit into perfectly. He removed my lenses from the frames that were no longer viable and put the lenses in the new ones. He greeted me immediately and was ready to assist me.
