River Rand saved me with a last minute hitch installation. The other guys (LBM Trailers & Hitch) mistakenly double booked the install guy, so when we both showed up for our 9am appointment one of us had to wait until noon.I called River Rand and not only were they able to accommodate me, but they had two installation guys working on the car. This made the process faster, and allowed me to get on the road much earlier than I would have otherwise.Very professional, true to their word, and solid work at a fair price. No complaints from me, and I wont hesitate to use them again.Thank You!

I went in one day to have my hitch and light package installed onto my car. I called over the phone to make a appoint at a very convenient time in the morning during the week. I arrived on schedule and they wasted no time onto getting started with my car. Front desk lady was super friendly, inviting, and helpful. She explained everything very well about my hitch and what I was able to tow with it. I was also greeted by the shops very friendly dog that helped make the short time I was there quicker. My hitch was very professionally installed, and in a very timely manner. What I thought would be a long wait ended up being very quick! I have been hauling a trailer with a zero turn mower on it with no problems what so ever. I highly recommend this place for having a hitch installed onto any vehicle. I will be coming back for my next install!

We have rented Rental trucks numerous times from here and never had any issues. After U-haul changed my pick-up location from 12 minutes away to over an hour away I called River Rand Auto. Kathy was able to get me a next day one-way moving truck for about the same price. The Penske truck was in great shape! I highly recommend River Rand Rentals. And Kathy, I REALLY appreciate you going out of your way to make sure wed have a truck when we needed it. You are awesome!(FYI I have driven several U-Hauls trucks in my day and the Penske handled so much better!)

What an awesome experience! With bikes and bike racks selling out quickly all over because of the pandemic, I was hoping to find a place that had them, and I was thrilled to find out about River Rand Auto! My wife’s co-worker recommended them to get a hitch & bike rack set-up, and it was great they had them in stock! I scheduled an appointment for the next day and was in and out under 30 minutes! Kathy is awesome, she is super friendly and knows a ton since she has been doing this for a long time. If anyone needs a hitch and/or looking for a bike rack at a very reasonable price, look no further!

Was in a time crunch for a small business move as we were unable to find trucks at any other competitor. I called River Rand Auto and spoke with Kathy. She held 2 trucks for me as we were 5 minutes away. I told her we needed them though Friday and she blocked them truck off for all of Friday incase we needed through the end of Friday. Very understandable as we requested to truck for the following week and then only needed one. Will definitely be using them again in the future. Great price. Keep up the good work. It was a pleasure to support a small family owned business during this hard time with Covid-19.

Ive been going to River Rand for years. They are so friendly and professional and they almost always have a van or truck available to rent even on weekends and holidays. Ive never found an auto rental with better prices then River Rand. They fact that theyre family owned makes it all the better. I would highly recommend this place!

Kathie went above and beyond for me. My truck is so new, they didnt even manufacture a hitch/tow kit for it. She was adamant about getting this done, and made all the calls to the right people to get it manufactured for me. Was very communitave during the entire process. As soon as it came in, she gave me the heads up. I took my truck in, and 15 minutes later it was done! It took longer to get the part then to install it. Thanks a ton for all your efforts!!

Called about a hitch install and when I told him the year of the car he immediately said they won’t do it because of rust, etc. Wouldn’t listen as I have a hitch installed already but it has been damaged. At least have me bring the vehicle in for inspection before deciding not to take the work over the phone.

Just got a hitch installed last minute because uhaul had none of their workers show up. Very good customer service. And quick turn around with good pricing and quality.

Im giving them 5 stars because theyre convenient, the lady who helped me had the best customer service out of everyone I called, and she also offered me the best pricing. The only downside is yes as the other reviews say these trucks are old... which is why theyre cheap and consistently available. The condition of their vehicles isnt something they hide. As you pull up, the available trucks are all on display. They also let you see the vehicle before you sign for it.

I love them! Need a van for a low price including insurance and twenty (20) FREE miles, this is the place.The fleet might be dated, but they start, run, get good fuel milage (right foot dependant), A/C, headlights and turn signals all workFriendly and courteous staff.LOVE EM!

After making a reservation with a credit card nearly two weeks in advance with another company, I received a call at 9:10 AM the day of my move that there was no truck! I had friends already on the way from out of town to help and I was in a panic! A friend suggested calling River Rand Rental and Kathy was a lifesaver! She had us in a truck before noon and was able to save me more than $100 compared to the other company! She was so friendly and efficient! I highly recommend River Rand Rental to anyone in the area who has a need to rent a moving truck. They saved my move!

People do yourselves a favor and take a look at the vehicles being rented. They are old and run down. We have been renting with them for years and never got a decent, fully operational vehicle. I cut myself several times on the step down that was so rusted and when you reverse there is no warning beep, very dangerous. If you want to rent old, rusted down trucks, you can overpay here. I will go to Uhaul for a better value and safer, cleaner vehicles.The only reason I give any stars is how nice the staff is, is is why my father keeps coming back here. I wish I could post for you guys the poor quality of the truck we rented. Inspect your vehicle before driving away!

I was struggling with a wiring issue on my trailer so I called hoping I could maybe stop in on a Sunday to get it checked out. They not only got me right in but fixed it in less than 15 minutes at a great price. I wish I would have gone there earlier instead of trying to fix myself for 3 hours. Guys in shop are awesome and owner is pleasant and easy to talk to. I brought my daughter with and she Asked if we could go back after meeting Harley. I have also used river rand in the past for tow install and rented numerous trucks for work and personal use. They are close reasonable and so much better than uhaul!

Well priced, definitely less than Budget or U-Haul. Older model trucks in good condition. Only drawback was the pipe on the gas fill was just larger than the nozzle so filling the tank afterwards is slow (you need to pump by hand letting the gas in slowly). Definitely recommend these guys for rental though; plenty of space to leave your car during the rental. Paid $71 for 47 miles with a 12 panel truck for the day.

They did an awesome job at a very fair price installing a trailer hitch on my van, including the wiring. Solid and professional, in and out in an hour. Very pleased with the work.

Yes, their trucks are old and beat but they own the trucks so if they say they have one, they do. I got burned by Penske when with a reservation, no truck was available when I went in on the reservation day . River Rand saved the day. They are nice people too.

Dependable but old trucks.

They charged me a $25 Restock fee for something I did NOT buy. They did NOT mention this when I called in to place an order for a hitch I might have needed nor do they have it stated on their website that there will be a restocking fee. I asked the guy on the phone MULTIPLE times what the cancellation policy was and he never mentioned a restocking fee (or I would have not ordered it). Either train your employees right or put it on your website. I went to this company because my family members had great experiences with them. I will be disputing this charge for sure. I also dont usually leave bad reviews for anyone but this is an exception that has me fuming.And I will copy and paste this review to ANY and ALL places that let me leave reviews for this company until I am reimbursed by these guys.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Garbage trucks, very old, better use uhaul if you wanna safe you money...

I was shocked at the initial rate they gave me...they claimed that Uhaul would be much more expensive. I’ve used Uhaul before so I couldn’t believe how much they quoted. Sure enough I saved about $200 by going to Uhaul.

Horrible costumer service! Went to get my Jeep hitch installed and they scratched my leather steering wheel!! When I complained, they got aggressive and said it wasn’t them. Very unprofessional costumer service. I quote the guy at the shop “I didn’t scratch the goddam steering whee!!” Lack of respect to clients. Also management did not offer any compensation for the damages. Stay away from this place that yells to their costumers.

Save yourself the headache and go to uhaul... trucks are broken down garbage. Had a cracked windshield, shaked like crazy and front end was shot, all over the road and the roll up door was broken. then they said I broke it and charged me $200 for a part that cost $15. On top of that the lady in the office is rude with horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and just go to uhaul..

Poor costumer service and very rude. I called in to get a qoute and a lady picked up the phone was not polite and was rushing me thru. She was unhappy that i called an hour before they close because i told her i might the the rental for that same day she immediately got upset and talk rude to me. I told her i will call back within 5min to confirm and she hanged up. Dont go here, use Penske truck rental instead alot better and convinient.

They are there when you need them but price is to highest around for what you get.

They sold me an obviously used part as new, charged me as new and sales tax. No mention of the condition other than it had been sitting awhile. I could and should have bought a brand new one for less at Menards. Hope it works because all sales are final. Who does that?
