Joel was fantastic! I got a great deal on a hard to find model, and since I was coming from out of town, he went out of his way to send additional pictures, video walk-arounds, showed any imperfections he found, and cleaned the seats because it looked like there had been a small coffee spill on it. I put a deposit down, and flew out several weeks later. He had everything ready to go when I got there, and even had someone pick me up at the airport to take me to the dealership. I was in and out in an hour, and the vehicle was exactly as described. Two weeks ago, I had my truck at the Ford dealership where I was traveling in Wausau, Wisconsin. Just an oil change..... they had the truck for six hours. Without lots of detail, I ended up paying $275 for an oil change and an estimate of $1300.00 to change the EGR cooler (service engine light came on). I was very upset with them because no one could explain to me about anything theyd done or proposed to do for an extra $1300, or what theyd done to justify $275 for a $130 oil change. Each person just said I dont know, let me ask another person in the chain basically. After leaving, I realized they didnt even put a sticker on my window for the next oil change. Yesterday, my truck started telling me that it needed an oil change soon. Today it said it REQUIRED an oil change (1200 miles so far). A quick call to Scott Petersen Ford in Sturgis got me to Anna, who said bring it in, well fix you up. They reset the oil change sensor, which hadnt been done in Wisconsin, retorqued my lug nuts, removed a dead bird from my grill, and washed off all the bugs in my radiator forFREE. Thank you to Anna and the technicians at Scott Peterson Ford in Sturgis. I highly recommend them!!! PS: they have a dog park!!!

Could not be happier, period. Im from out of state and had issues with my 6.7 diesel truck that I pull my camper with. Contacted Rapid City ford and they were out 2 weeks before they could see me. Scott Peterson motors told me to come in 7.30 the next morning. 100 dollar part and 150 labor I was out the door in less than 2 hrs. Brandon in service took care of me in no time. If I was a local or in driving range I would be dealing with these guys. To many times Ive heard from dealers that they are 2 weeks out and cant fit me in basically because Im out of state and didnt buy from them. To be tied up for 2 weeks for a 1.5 hr job doesnt feel right. I bought a Ford pickup and for the price expect to be treated accordingly. When you are from out of state its hard to come by dealers that will take care of you like Scott Peterson motors in Sturgis.

I took my sons truck here for servicing even though he lives in Rapid City because of the great service they provide. We were greeted by a very friendly man at the service desk who then directed us to a bright, cheerful waiting area that included various drinks including juices, soda, coffee and tea along with a variety of snacks. You can tell a lot about a business by the demeanor of the employees. We noticed how pleasant everyone acted toward each other and the customers. They were happy doing their jobs making for a comfortable experience for visitors. The truck was promptly serviced and after being escorted by the friendly man at the service desk to our truck, we went happily on our way. Before leaving, I mentioned that I could see why our son drove to Sturgis rather than stay in Rapid for service.

Incredible sales. Joel was very helpful in letting me come to my decision. The finance department was also very good and they all were true to their word. On a Thursday afternoon in early September 2019, my husband and I were traveling near the Sturgis area, just 4 days into our 3 week vacation, when the electronic control system malfunctioned on our 2014 Ford F-250. We contacted Ford dealerships in Rapid City, Spearfish, Gillette, WY, and Sturgis. Every one of them told us they were at least 2 weeks out on their service schedule. However, Scott Peterson Ford (SPF) in Sturgis did offer that, if we could get to them, they would at least use their diagnostic tool to try to identify the problem. We got there but could not leave because the truck would not restart! With their assurance they would make every effort to try to work us in to their very busy schedule, we began trying to get a rental car for the next couple days. When, after calling every car agency in Sturgis, Rapid City and Spearfish with no success, SPF very graciously stepped in to help us find transportation. And, when they called us just over 24 hours later to say they had identified the source of the problem and fixed it, we were thrilled. We cannot speak highly enough of the service and staff at SPF (Service Manager, associates, and diesel mechanic; front office personnel; General Manager; and owner). If I could leave less then one star I most definitely would.. My Mom had went there to get her oil changed and her tires rotated.During the process, they wash the car as a courtesy. They ended up leaving the keys in the car and apparently the pressure from the car wash locked the keys in the car. They asked us if we knew the code to the car, we did not because it was a new car and we didn’t have the code reset yet. The lady who had given us the bad news told us they would ‘figure it out’.She came back about 20 minutes later saying the car was one. I was getting in the passenger side of the car and noticed there were two decent scratches and two dents on that side of her car. I asked my mom if they had told her how they had gotten into her car.We went back in to tell them they had damaged the vehicle. They then proceeded to give us paperwork that said the scratches were there before. This paper work, written in two different colored pens, was provided to us after they had already damaged the car. This was my fourth time getting in the car that day, I know for a fact the scratches and dents were not there. We asked our entire family and they had never seen anything on the vehicle.It took them days and days to get back to us about the dents and scratches. And when they finally told us they were not fixing the 1000.00 dollars worth of damage they didn’t even have the decency to call. They told my Mom over text message. We will never being visiting this establishment again unless they decide for some reason to fix what they did.

I got a good buy on a 2008 F-150 for well below book. I realize now that it needs new cam phasers and timing chains. I’m pretty sure the technicians there knew exactly what was wrong but kept it hush hush and threw it on the lot. The reason I’m quite certain the technicians knew is because it’s a common problem with the 5.4 Triton 3 Valve engine. It’s nothing I can’t fix but will not go there again. If they were upfront with me I would’ve bought it anyway and fixed it myself because I like project pickups, It’s just the principle that secrets are kept to prey on the less experienced. I gave 2 stars because at least it was listed for below book value.

I’m new to the area so when I looked for a dealer to take care of my car I went to the one in my town. That worked fine for oil changes and recall work but when my car suddenly acted up things were different. I called right away and explained the problem. I was told that they only work by appointment and I could drop it off the next Monday (they dont do weekends) and leave it, they would work it in when they could. It might be a week... So I would have to rent a car for up to a week!I talked to a friend who told me he never goes to dealers in our town always takes his to Spearfish, this opened a new door for me and I started looking out of town. I found Scott Peterson Ford in Sturgis. I called and talked with the nicest man. I made an appointment for my next day off. The man told me if I get worried about driving the car or have any problem to call him right away and he will get me in and he has a loaner car for me if needed. Oh my goodness what a difference.Today was my appointment and you know it the car has acted fine every since that day but I went anyway and told them what happened and that it hasn’t done it again since. They had it 1 hour while I waited in their waiting room. Upon entering I was told to help myself to snacks, they had variety bottled water, juice for the kids, soda, coffee, some food, too.Very nice people focused on customer satisfaction. When my car was done they found nothing. It could have been a computer glitch who knows. My charge was $0 for a hours work.I really appreciate the small town comfy feel; the excellent attitudes by all and the quick service. I will gladly drive to another town for this type of experience.I’ve found my new dealership and I invite you to go and get yourself some good service. Highly Recommended.

After tailgating a vehicle through boulder canyon from the golf course, one of your employees decided to speed through Sturgis from the entrance of Boulder canyon going an easy 60 mph at 6:45 am Tuesday June 20th and pull a hard right onto the interstate using no turn signal and got up to 100 mph just to turn off on the next exit and pull into your parking lot. Black Ford mustang license plate SIN GT. These type of actions from an employee come off pretty unprofessional.

About an hour east of Sturgis my car stopped working on my move from Michigan to Oregon. All of the car shops I called said they were booked and couldnt help me but Scott Peterson motors said they could see me that evening. Slowly but surely I made my way there and of the many road trip side adventures Ive had, they made this one the best. They got my car looked at quickly knowing I was on a timeline, and clearly and easily explained to me what was wrong and what my options were. It ended up being a big job (because it was a fuel pump and my car is very rusty) but they got the parts in the next morning and fixed my car by the afternoon that day. And in the mean time we had a courtesy car from them that my friend and I could use to see Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands after all while we waited. And we even got back on the road with enough time to make it to Portland airport where my friend can take his flight back home. I couldnt be happier with their understanding of our situation and quick response to get us back on the road. Thanks!
