Sandy and her team really go above and beyond to put the customer first. During multiple trips to Auto Check, they have continued to be professional, and they strive to get the job done. There have even been issues that they could have left alone and not fixed or tried to oversell me on, but theyve done their best to make sure my car actually works, and if not, they will go back and make sure its fixed. The employees at first colony auto check were so very helpful. They worked me in as a walk-in and got the work done very quickly. I’m from Victoria and was visiting family in Sugarland, when my car failed to turn over. After roadside assistance verified the battery was good, I had to line up repairs. The battery tester recommended Auto Check First Colony, so I called and explained I was 2 hours from home and stranded. Peyton spoke to her manager who called me back and she agreed to start on it right away. After getting the car towed in it was approaching noon. The diagnosis was a bad starter which is no simple repair. I was afraid I was going to be stranded overnight. However, one person went after the part, another began removing the old starter and the job was done by 5:00. I was extremely pleased. The office personnel were great and technicians obviously competent.Highly recommend them

Made me very comfortable while waiting for my alignment. The office and waiting area were clean and inviting. In my book, if a company takes pride in its look to the customers, I’m sure they take pride in the work they do. I even got served a taco! Even though I had to come out of my pocket an arm and a leg for my vehicle to be fixed. The staff was was welcoming, accommodating and they kept me informed thru the whole process. Overall, it was fixed to my satisfaction!

Sandy and Payton, those two beautiful ladies opened the door and even opened the driver’s side door for me when I left there. And Ioved the Christian music that they play in the shop! I was overcharged over $80 just to put two tires on. I needed two tires replaced immediately and I couldn’t drive my car any further but if I could have I would not have used them. The manager told me they didn’t have tires there, they’d have to order tires but if I went to Discount Tires myself they could put them on. I called for someone take me to go purchase the tires. Discount Tires said they’d put my tires on for $22/tire but I couldn’t get my car there. I came back to pay for the service. The cashier was trying to give me a discounted rate because they must partner with tire shops and auto shops,etc. She couldn’t figure out exactly how and asked the manager and the manager told her put me down as a walk in. They didn’t even try to cut me a break price wise. As a matter of a fact I was also overcharged for some part fee of $34... what parts??? Anyway nothing to say about the actual service but the customer service wasn’t anything to brag about or recommend. I’m sure someone will respond very nasty but they asked for a review so there’s that.

Went to this shop to get an alignment and unfortunately I wasnt able to get it done at the time. Many shops would have done the alignment charged you for it and said oh by the way you need these items fixed as well basically trying to up sale you. This wasnt the case. After getting my truck on the lift it was determined that my alignment wouldnt hold due to needing ball joints and tie rods replaced. Now I know you may be thinking they tried to upsale me but that wasnt the case. My truck has over 150k miles on it and parts like these wear out. The manager told me that they could do the alignment if I really wanted but that it wouldnt last due to the parts that were going or have gone bad. There was no charge and they even recommended other places that probably could do the work cheaper that specialize in those items needing to be fixed. So I cam say when it comes to this shop that they have their customers best interests at heart.

Convenient location and they open early but the communication was lacking. I did not know they were going to keep my car overnight. I work night shifts and accidentally slept through closing time. Even though it ended up not being a big deal, it would have been nice if they had either told me ahead of time they were keeping my car or letting me know ahead of time. They also charged me for parts that I provided. Not a huge deal bc they were happy to refund the money but the fact that it worked out for them does not take away from the fact that there was poor communication to begin with. Hopefully, this was a one time experience.

She was so helpful, she gave me a car to drive so that I would not be inconvenienced, she didnt charge me for the filters because she said they were clean and unneeded. She was so loving and honest. Stop by in the morning for an oil change, friendly service, which is good. They were not busy, so they took my car right away, but the oil change was very slow, took 30+ minutes. Then they suggested I get an alignment, filter replacement, and a light fixed, those took an additional 50+ minutes, so that’s almost 1.5 hours. Only wish they were quicker!

Ive used this place several times over the last 5 years for simple stuff like vehicle inspection and oil changes, and have put up with them trying to upsell us on things everytime Ive come in, just because it was a super convenient location. However, I took my car there for an inspection this AM, and the owner refused to cover his nose with his mask, and then asked if I wanted to take my business elsewhere when I insisted. Someone who doesnt care about his customers enough to do the absolute minimum to protect their health is not going to have any sense of responsibility in their work.Edit: I have read the owners response. Only a selfish person thinks that he has no responsibility to the people around him. Not covering your nose means you dont care about your customers. Its not a political stance.

Good experience.I waited too long and needed an oil change and dropped in after having to drive from Houston for other business. Google reviews looked good so what the heck, right?I walked in, asked how much a change was and how long it would take.Without answering my questions, they took my name, asked for my keys and gave them to a tech. Then the receptionist(?) turned and told me a price that was way lower than I expected. I was in and out in minutes on a Saturday afternoon.The lady who greeted me was very nice and friendly, everyone looked happy at their job and it was a great experience. I’m sure it isn’t this easy every time or this quick but I’m glad I dropped in and found professionals who do their job well.I’ll be back.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Came in for a wheel stud replacement but due to the gentleman’s knowledge on suspension and alignment, I decided to leave it up to him to diagnose and fix a strange vibration on my vehicle. Best decision. Had my vehicle in pristine condition just a few hours later. I will definitely recommend and be back for a next time!

3 hour oil change. Enough said.Update since your reply:First off, I STILL have a leak which only started after you touched the car. Now i must go elsewhere and pay for fix your lazy work.Secondly, you simply said i was next in line. You never mentioned it would be a long wait... it was an hour before you even started on my car. It was at the 2.15 hour mark that you discovered you needed the washer. And its BAD business to squeeze people in if it means turning a 20 minute job into 3 hours.

Came in for a routine inspection. Easy to make an appointment over the phone and work seemed good. Wouldve liked the employees to be wearing masks. This was a day before mask order went into place in Fort Bend. Customers were wearing masks though (yay!). Hopefully they have complied as well.

Been coming here for years. They are always nice, accommodating, and reasonably priced. Mostly though, honest. I always know I can trust whatever they recommend, and that theyll do it right. I no longer work nearby, and there are several places closer to me now. But I like the way they run their business and how they treat their customers, so its well worth the drive!

I already left a review about Auto Check First Colony but I want to reiterate how good they are. As I said before, they might not be the cheapest (not over prized either) but you will be hard pressed to find a more honest shop. They give very honest opinion about your issue, they try to find parts at the best possible price and only use good parts, they take responsibility and stand behind their work and you will walk out of there feeling good about them. Unfortunately I have been at their shop a little bit more frequent lately than what I would like, I got an older vehicle so it is to be expected, and two times I heard an employee ask a customer if they wanted to safe some money and then offered an opinion or an alternative as to how to tackle their issue. Ralph, Tami and their crew are top notch.

Our 2006 Honda Odyssey was rear-ended. The folks at Auto Check made sure to repair not only the visible damages, but also the hidden damage to the parts under the rear bumper/tailgate area. They worked with the other drivers insurance company to facilitate all the required repairs. The people at Auto Check are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We love them!!!

I have never met a nicer set of people than Sandy and Ralph. I blew out my tire on a curb, limped into their shop after a referral and they took care of me better than I had expected. Typically going to get to an auto repair shop is a bad experience, you’re either there because something is not working or get bad news during routine maintenance. We all want on our vehicles to be reliable because we depend on them daily; they have to be working and safe!Ralph, his wife Tammy, and staff at Autocheck are awesome to work with! The most important thing is I believe them to be honest. We all know vehicles can be expensive to maintain but Ralph and Tammy make the process as pain free as possible. They will give you a ride if you need to drop off a car or have loaners available (plan early). Supporting a family run business is my preference too.

My 2009 Toyota Sienna received a 4-wheel alignment at Auto Check First Colony on 8/15/2017 and underwent repair of the rear right contact shim on 11/15/2017. The car was brought back to the shop for alignment check on 3/21/2018 and 8/3/2018. During both occasions, adjustments were made, and the shop honored the warranty without charge. When the shops online scheduling did not work due to glitches, Ralph was always responsive in acknowledging the feedback as well as taking appointment manually. I almost forget to mention that the waiting area and the restroom in the shop are so well maintained that its a pleasure to be there. Thanks Tammy & Ralph, I appreciate all the good work that you do!

Under new ownership.My wife tried to take her car in a couple of years ago and was given the cold shoulder. She felt they were talking down to her because she is a female. I had to take the car in but had no real complaints. Service was average at best but convenient.Fast forward to last Saturday.I took the vehicle in to get an inspection and could immediately notice the difference when I walked in. The new owners went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to get honest feedback about what could be improved. I was also impressed with their warranty on many of their services and parts. Plus, they now have loaner vehicles in case you need to run errands while waiting for your car to be serviced. Very convenient and shows they understand that their customers time is valuable as well.It is nice to see a family run business where the owners know the value of good customer service. We also like to be able to support a local business.I will be taking my car here from now on.Update 10-19-17: Ralph has done a great job with this place. If you need a local service place for your vehicle, I highly recommend these guys. I still take our vehicles there.

Best oil change service Ive ever had. It was a bit of a wait even with an appointment but the staff was very courteous and were very honest about services needed on my vehicle. I dont plan to use another place as long as I live in the Sugar Land area.Updated review on 10/11/2018: If Google allowed for a 6/5 star rating I would do it. The personal service Ralph, Tammy and their staff provide is the best auto service Ive had over the course of 10 years driving. There are not enough independently operated auto service shops around these days. If you are in the Southwest Houston area bring your vehicles here.

My car had an emission system light up so I brought my car here for a checkup. The service was great. They were really nice and friendly. Ralph found out what the cause for my emission light was and explained it to me. He said if it happens again, he can take a look at it for free.

I was referred to Auto Check off Lexington and Dulles by a good friend. I have been taking both of my cars there for inspections, oil changes, tires, tire rotations and brake jobs for 3 years now. It is out of my way, but it is well worth it for me. I know I can trust Sam, the owner, and his team to do these jobs correctly and in a timely manner. Sam is very nice and honest. I have seen how caring he is to all his customers, especially his repeat customers. I have since referred other friends, and they too have been very happy with their service.

These guys were absolutely awesome! They were convenient on my way to work and got me right in and out. I got there a little early so not quite 7 and they didnt make me wait.
