Had a great experience today! I walked in after closing (unknowingly) and the staff was super welcoming and helped me find everything I needed. Strongly recommend!!!
Workers are not knowledgeable. they are decently nice but they continuously tell me the wrong things. none of their products have worked for my hair after they have told they would for sure. such a let down
Every time i’ve gone to this store they have told me something different. i recently bought pastel purple and it turned my hair blue. the staff is kind but it feels like each person says something different and i can’t trust them or their products
I went in to buy hair dye for my wife. i showed them my wife’s hair color and they said the dye would work on her hair. it did not. i came back in and a different worker told me something completely different from the other work. i tried what the new worker said and it made my wife’s hair extremely brittle
I enjoy browsing the various new hair products that are available at Sally Beauty and the staff joined me as I shopped for silver hair care products. Although the employees appeared helpful, I felt that I was being directed to buy certain products. I did not enjoy the chaperone experience because I like to take my time the read, learn and compare products.
Refused to honor their Love it or Return it policy. The dye didnt even show up so I wanted to return it, had the boxes and receipt from the day before. I spoke to 3 people at corporate that dont understand why they are refusing to do it and have filed a formal complaint. At this point it is the principle and wasting my time.
I did not have a good experience. I came in here to spend money. And not to sound offensive but if I didn’t ask for your personal Opinion do not give me one. Anyone who does not have experience with natural black hair and hair in general is going to tell me what I need to buy or what will work and what does not work. Especially after I told her why I need a particular product and she proceeded to tell me what she thought. Taking that suggestion would have caused me heat damage and I know that. I know what works for my hair and I know what I need so I just left everything on the counter and I will just go ahead and order from another company online so I don’t have to hear what a non professional “think” will work.
I have been dying my hair blonde for a while now. I came in to get some kind of toner so once I dyed my medium brown roots, the toner would get rid of the brassy color. I told the staff this. They gave me a box dye, not even a bleach, and said that it would make it even. I told them that last time I did the same thing and it ended up being brassy. I go home and put this on my hair and just like I guessed, I now have brassy blonde roots and silver everywhere else. The staff isn’t knowledgeable.
All around great! The service you receive depends on the staff you speak with. Always make sure you talk with a trained cosmetologist! They have had a few people there in the past who did not know what they were doing helping customers w color.
Didnt have any of the petaicure utensils I was looking for, clerk said we are out of alit of stuff because of Christmas
A little expensive and make sure you bring your own bag or you can buy one for 15 cents.
Consistently unimpressed with attitude of manager. Never has a name tag on, dismissive from the start, but most importantly will argue with customers about supposed policies. Been going to this location at least once a month since I moved to the area in 2016, never had a pleasant experience if this woman is in the store. However the location on Dorchester Rd is always willing to rectify the issue and do the right thing.
The ladies that was working on 12/11/18 at 5:00pm was not helpful at all. They were more engaged into conversations with one another than their jobs. I asked for assistance several times and neither of the ladies acted as if they were willing to assist. Finally, after leaving the store and coming back I received some assistance.
If I could give 0 I would.. I spent $358. on extentions.. Not only did they (2 employees) not offer the (Free carrying case ) that always is given with extentions.. Then they Refused to give me a bag to carry my items out of the store( in the Rain btw)..Unless I paid for the Freaking bag! LOL unbelievable..Hey Sallys / looking kinda of desperate! Anyway.. If I hadnt of been in a hurry going out of town..For Sure I would have gone to another store... FOR SURE ..I WILL NEVER B IN THIS SUMMERVILLE STORE EVER!!
Best store ever. The staff is awesome and so amazing with everything they know. So helpful with all your needs.
Good selection of curling and flat irons. Many types of shampoo and conditioner to choose from. Wish there were more than just a few options for styling wax, employees were polite, plenty of parking.
If you are going to try and run a store with 1 employee then you need to teach them to hurry up and multi task, I waited for 45 for the clerk to hurry up and process one ladys exchange, we ended up leaving without our $200-300 purchase of hair extensions because the girl was more interested in idol chatter than doing her job in a quick and efficient manner, you can be fast and courteous at the same time.
The store was well put together and clean. They had everything I needed. Lori Mew has done an awesome job.

Usually, doing my shopping with a six year old and two year old is a stressful and embarrassing experience in itself, but I have no choice but to take my kids everywhere I go. Even specialty stores. Donna was so nice and made me feel so comfortable even with my crazy kids. She was very helpful in helping me pick out the right product and was extremely inforrmative!
I ordered a my hair stuff online a while ago and I spent over $70 on it and they still haven’t processed it and it’s still saying it’s processing. I tried calling them but they’re not answering.

The service at the Summerville Main Street location is absolutely phenomenal! Faylon has great customer service skills. She educates clients on the products and willingly makes herself available for questions pertaining to products and supplies. Her passion for hair care is evident. In a day and time when customer service skills are below mediocre it is so refreshing to have phenomenal services rendered. I normally dont visit Sallys Beauty, however, because the service I have received. I have found myself revisiting the store more often than the beauty store nearer my home where I usually buy products. Both Faylon and Christina are knowledgeable, friendly, and exercise great customer service skills! Thank you for giving the wow experience to your clients. It makes a difference !
