I have been looking for a bicycle for casual riding around the neighborhood. When I first approached the store I was told inventory was low but to keep checking in with them. Felt guilty calling all the time but was always greeted with a friendly voice. Well, finally today I purchased my bicycle and could not be happier! It was exactly what I was waiting for. Very pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of the store.

Paid $130 to have my bike tuned up and two tire replacements. Instead I received a bike with faulty gears and used tires. Very sad to say the least, after waiting two months for my bike to be repaired.

Love this bike shop. The owner has serviced our bicycles for 10 years and is always fair and does great work. If you want to purchase he will help you find a bike right for you without high pressure sales. Highly recommend.

We visited the shop a few weeks ago looking for a bike for my daughter. They had very few but explained that Covid has created a shortage of bikes, parts, etc. We had visited a few other stores and they have literally none and stated the same. Still, the customer service here at Main Street was the best and we will definitely go here for bike needs.

The only place where I take my bike to be repaired. They are quick with very reasonable prices.

Our son’s bike was in dire need of a tune up. The gentlemen in the shop were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and effective in their diagnosis as to what was needed. In just a few days, his bike was as good as new. The service and price was great. It feels great to have a local go-to for parts and service! Thanks guys! I dropped off a bike tire over a month ago. I have stop by the business for an update and called. It would be nice to get an update or my tire back.

I brought my daughters bike in to get the rear brake fixed. I was told it would be done in three days. After two weeks the brake was replaced but didn’t really work much better. Since he didn’t charged me much ($20) I thought I could fix it and I thought the delay was due to the high demand caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.A week later I brought my sons BMX bike and my Trek mountain bike in for repairs. He told me he would have them fixed in 4days. Again two weeks later the bikes were done. On my sons bike he replaced the rear brakes and just like my daughters bike, I had to finish fixing them. As for my bike, he fixed the front brake and rear derailed without issue. However, he was also supposed to fix the front flat tire. I did not but inspect the work closely, but it seemed to be fine when test road it at the shop. When I arrived home and pulled it out of the back of my truck, I heard an air leak. When I looked at the tire I realized he didn’t replace the value nut and value adapter.Since it was Saturday and the business was already closed for the day, I had to wait till Tuesday. When I went to see if he could fix the tire he had failed to replace, he blamed it on me and was going to charge me to fix it. I left and fixed it myself.I try to support small businesses, but this place gives a bad name to small businesses. It seems like this is a hobby for the owner and the customer is an annoyance. I saw a review stating they wished they could have given a “negative” review, my sentiments as well!!! I’ll never go here again.

I bought a bike here years ago. Its a good old-fashioned downtown bike shop. Shane is great. I had a problem with a different bike and he adjusted it at no charge !

Just moved to the area and needed some repairs. Excellent repair department. Fast and super knowledgeable.

Wanted to charge an elderly woman 80 dollars for two tubes in a bicycle. Never said hello or how may i help you to me and i was the only customer inside because the old woman refused to pay such a ridiculous price on a used bicycle for two tubes. Store is in disarray and parts all over the floor . Beware where you step .

I went in with the statement I want to get into mountain biking!, and was met with nothing but positive comments. I got to try out whatever bike I wanted on the street and in the parking lot for as long as I wanted, and they answered every question I had. I left with a clearance model Raleigh 29er from 2016 (in early 2017), and am extremely happy with the bike. But, Im more happy with how I was treated, and will recommend everyone I know with cycling questions to this store!

We took our sons balance bike in because it was missing a bolt. The employees working were very helpful! They searched until they found a bolt that would work and were very generous. Well be sure to return in the future!

My son has been waiting 3 months for his bike to get fixed. They keep telling him it will be ready next week and when he goes in to pick his bike up they give another excuse as to why it is not ready. They also charged him twice for grips. Unfortunately my son didnt get a receipt from them, they didnt offer one to him, so that is a lesson he has learned. Always ask for a receipt from them!!!!!!! I try to let my son take care of his own business because he is 16 and learning to be an adult but it looks like my husband or I will have to take care of this. At first I thought that they might be taking advantage of the fact that he is a teenager but after reading other reviews it just sounds like a bunch of slack people work there. I can understand being a little late but 3 months is not okay. He has went in that shop every week for three months! We will definitely be going somewhere else next time.

Walk in wanting to buy some bike stuff, one guy that was managing the store seems like he did not want to give me ant assistance. I think it was personal. Hats unfortunate. He lost a lot of money and a new customer. I’ll go and spend my money somewhere else. Don’t go to this place!

I highly recommend using them for a new bike.They spent time assisting us on determining the correct bikes for out height. We received hands on assistance on setting up the bikes.in addition to the great service, their prices are competitive.

I have been coming here for the 10 years I have been in Summerville and wont go any where else. I have all my maintenance done here and always a great price! Tune ups to tubes and always within a reasonable time frame. I tried 51 and what a disaster!! Just come see Shane ....Lol ... After reading some of the reviews I agree they can work on their greetings and acknowledging the customer in a timely manner within walking in ...But I will keep the 5 stars .... Always a great experience for me ....

Dropped bike off for tune up, was not ready on the day it was promised. Heard all the reasons it wasnt ready, but none of them pertained to my bike.I cannot in fairness give a good review based on missing the promised deadline.

Turn around time was too long for the job being done. Really feel as though I would have been better suited going to any other shop. Except Mikes bikes. They are awful.

My wife and I had no idea about bicycles other than we knew we each wanted one. The guy at Mainstreet could not have been more helpful and patient with us. We test drove a number of bikes and when we finally made a selection he ordered them for us and we received them within two days. He threw in a basket for us each, free of charge. We then decided we needed a bike rack for my truck and he even installed it for us.I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the guys at Mainstreet. HIGHLY recommend them for all your biking needs.

I only give one star because giving negative stars is not an option. We walk in only to find the single employee on the phone, thinking he was helping another customer. Waited 15mins and during this wait, discovered that the phone call was personal and not professional. So that left me slightly annoyed. Also during this wait time, several people walked in and were looking around. Once the rude employee hung up his personal phone call, he assisted not one, but 2 other customers, not even acknowledging that I was there, let alone, that I was the FIRST person to come in the store. Finally I left and took my bike somewhere else to get serviced. I will not stop back in this location, and definitely do not recommend this store to anyone.
