Ok my first situation with warranty issues was not smooth! But ultimately sunset Ford handled it with composure when I was very unhappy! Provided a loaner vehicle and took care of services they weren’t necessarily responsible for. Second another warranty issue arrives shortly after owning my truck and sunset Ford literally blew me away service department is amazing and took control of the warranty process from inspection to completion. Please read more reviews then just bad ones they really have done more than required in my situation. I would recommend this dealer any day.
Dealership is a reminder that buying a vehicle is nothing but a pure business transaction. Is not willing to negotiate pricing that is reasonable for both parties, claims blue book and other fair purchase prices are wrong. Definitely a place where they value profits over customer relations. Definitely worth a drive to West Hills Ford, where I will be doing my business as they dont make it blatantly obvious that they are charging more just because they can. Easy choice, go to somewhere where they charge fair market value or do business with a price gouging dealer. To me a few grand in savings is worth going 40 minutes out of my way to a dealer thats friendlier to work with.
I was given an appointment of 745 am so naturally I assumed that my service appointment on my car would begin. I wasnt told that it would take all day I figured 2 maybe 3 hrs ended up being 91/2 hours. I was having my car 60,000 miles service for what little was done it shouldnt have taken that long. Half of the bill was labor although the amount of hours of labor remained to be seen. Also I was charged for the oil change even though Im supposed to get that free as a perk for buying my car from Sunset Ford. Dont get me wrong the people who served me in the service department were great but there should have been better communication with me as to the duration of service appointments my oil change in the past have only taken about an hour. So in the future I will be having my cars factory recommended service done at another facility although I will continue to get my free oil changes from Sunset Ford.

We drove from Gig Harbor with an appointment. We were ignoredThe sales person had not read the informational e mail we had sent and was totally unprepared. The staff was not wearing masks and seemed annoyed when asked to put a mask on. We will take our business elsewhere.
Service maintenance went well on my vehicle. Tammy the service advisor was very pleasant. And Steve the technician took good care of my car. As a former service advisor, I was very pleased with my visit. However, I have one complaint. I was not happy with the Saturday porter that moved my car. My Mustang is heavily modified with Ford performance racing cams and I heard him rev it quite high. I was in the parts department and heard it and believe that he did it shortly after he parked the car. This is not acceptable as the vehicle is not his and he needs to respect other peoples properties.
Had an oil change done here in short notice. Got lucky and they were able to fit me in. They caught a mistake made by another dealer from the last service where a few bolts were not replaced after the previous oil change. Friendly and fast working team/crew.I dropped a star as the staff that had been moving my truck did not wipe their hands off before getting in and out of the truck. Oil was left on the handle, door frame, and steering wheel.

This is my first dealing with Sunset Ford. The sales staff worked hard to find a new vehicle that meant or needs. Even with a shortage of mew vehicles they were able to locate mostly what we wanted from another dealership. The process of settling in a price was time consuming. The oil changes for life and the lifetime power train warranty are a plus. The process just seemed to drag out longer than it should have. We picking up the new vehicle it was here are the keys and let us know if you have questions.I would consider buying from Sunset Ford again, but would also check other dealers in the area.
I can’t stress this enough. DO NOT ever buy a car or truck from sunset Ford.. David Ledger is the worst sales manager I’ve ever had to deal with. Absolute worst. They had my truck for 3 months said they fixed It and a week later it was broke down again with the same issue.. In not so many words they told me to screw myself and refused to fix the issue or make it right and on top of that I had to get my truck towed from the service shop!!!!! I took it to a local Diesal shop and the issue was fixed in less then 2 days. The incompetence and lack of communication is beyond deplorable. I strongly recommend you go somewhere else to purchase a vehicle.. if I could give them negative stars I would…
Initial experience was fine until it wasn’t. Sunset Ford told me that the brake pads on my vehicle were just fine. Turns out, they were wrong and made a mistake. When I asked for help on how to resolve this issue they told me I was wrong. When in fact it does need brakes. I wouldn’t have a problem if I was told it needed brakes from the beginning. But the fact that they said they were good and sent me on my way is unacceptable and flat out dangerous. They have a horrible attitude of we’re right your wrong, when it’s evident of their mistake.
I was looking for a harder to find hybrid F-150 and they had it. Chris Foss was great and had all the answers to the many questions I had. They went out of their way to work around my schedule and delivered big. had a bedliner done and the service department was great too. I am loving my new truck.

They marked up my new car 5k and delivered it with a tear in the leather of the backseat. (I live in a remote area) They wont take responsibility for the defect and wont return my calls. I am out 1k, 6k if you count the markup. Very dissatisfied with the shady, stereotypical car dealership run around. DONT BUY FROM THEM.
Saw a Jeep I liked on the internet and called to ask about it. Caesar took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions even though I lived >4 hours away on the other side of the state. He was helpful enough I drove to the lot the next day. When I finally arrived, he had a couple Jeeps up front waiting for me and they were solid; he actually listened to what I wanted. When does that ever happen? In the end, he stayed late and I took home a Jeep Im very happy with. The way it drives, the color, the options, etc were all on point and Im super picky. I told him I want something that looks real nice, can get me out to my worksite comfortably, and drive mountain logging roads in the winter. Thats exactly what I got. Usually if you want to be picky you end up paying; I felt the price was good with minimal back and forth. Would recommend, thanks!
I purchased a 2014 F-350 from Sunset Ford and had paid for a paint coating called Eco-Pro...I made an appointment for the service and left it for two days..when I got it back I was very dissatisfied with the job...the service writer agreed it was un acceptable...I made an appointment for round two, and same thing, unacceptable results...for round three David, the dealer General manager got involved.. David informed me that they are no longer outsourcing this service...They were going to use their own people for round three.. . David followed the progress all of the way through.. I got my truck back after the third time and it was PERFECT....!!!!!!! Bottom line, I had issues but Sunset, mainly David, the general manager, made me the customer whole...And after all of this, Sunset WILL be keeping my business.....P.S. All three times Sunset supplied me with a loaner car..
Came in for a 50k mile service ( oil change, multi point inspection,) and they did not do the multi point inspection. When my wife picked up the car, she asked for the car report card and was told if there was anything wrong with the car they would tell her.I called requesting the inspection information and was told they did not do it and it was a courtesy they do for their customers. I disagreed and stated that I paid for it ($700) I was then told there’s no way the technician could remember the specs and to bring it in Anytime on Saturday, and so I did.When I brought it in on Saturday, I was met with a visibly annoyed manager, who told me she had no space and to make a appointment or provide a email and the technician will send the information. I asked if the information was stored on the computer or was it from memory? She claimed that technician had a great memory. ( 8 days later )I said that’s ridiculous...She said all their technicians were out and it would take two hours, and I shouldn’t have brought it in at the time that I did since it was the technicians lunch time. I said, “You told me to bring it in Anytime.”Well, I lost.. and had to bring it in a third time for the same job.It’s one thing to not do the job in the first place, but to claim the technician has a superhero type of memory that can recall tire tread, brake lining wear, etc..8 days and multiple cars later speaks loudly to the employees integrity or lack of.I give 2 stars because I purchased a plastic cover under the radiator that came up missing and asked them to put it on, something that I’m sure would pop up on an inspection.

Best customer service!!! (Until you buy the car). Now its one of the worst!!! Im treated just as a number not as a customer. Parts are ordered wrong. It takes at least a month after parts are ordered that I get in to have them put on and sometimes its a month after the parts arrived to their place that I cant get in to get them put on. They order parts for a cheaper model car than what I have and then I have to wait and get another appointment when you the parts come in. They lost one of the custom stem valves that I had on there. Oh and when I first picked up the car, which was brand new, it wasnt detailed and it was dirty. Then one of the back shades was missing. Last week the air conditioner went out and the cooling seats went out and this is in the month of July. I started out absolutely loving this car and now I just dread getting into it wondering whats going to come up wrong now and trust me theres been a lot of things going wrong with this car. I so wish I would have gone to a different dealer to buy this car, I would have been treated a whole lot better in this phase of it. So disappointed.

**** Update****After posting this review I contacted the dealerships WeCare team as they suggested in their response. I was able to speak with a real person, not a menu option and discuss what had gone both right and wrong with my experience purchasing a new to me truck. Not only was the situation resolved but when minor things popped up they too were handled quickly. I mean minor, like its a minor annoyance but not a big deal. There are closer Ford dealerships to my home but this is where the truck I wanted was and now it is where the service I want is.The sales person was great and very help in sending me possible vehicles that matched what I was looking for and made sure it was ready for me when I arrived. The whole thing was good honestly until after the sale.I brought the truck to my mechanic to give it a quick once over but it took a week and a half to get it in there. They told me all 4 brakes should have been replaced before it was sold, the serpentine belt was worn, and the batteries were leaking. When I called my sales person to tell him he was surprised and said he would call me back and he did. He had a copy of their inspection which said nothing about the batteries, the belt, and had a big discrepancy in the amount of pad measurement left.He suggested my mechanic was just trying to sell me brakes and I reminded him they were just trying to sell me a vehicle without putting to much into it. I suggested instead of arguing about what out paperwork said I could bring the vehicle in and have the items verified. He told me he would talk to his sales manager and call me back. That was Thursday morning and I’m writing this review on Saturday night after they’ve closed.Not sure what else to say, I was about to buy from North West Motor Sports but I was warned to stay away from them and go to Sunset. Now I feel they are no different and just another dealership and buyer beware.
The work is always completed on time. I always give Sunset Ford the ok to do anything my vehicles need without calling me because I trust them not to take advantage of me.
I have gone here with several problems after buying my car.No experience I ever had making a purchase had been perfect.But these people always seem to do their best to work things out.I would buy a car here again and would recommend them to my friends, thats not something I would do for any other dealership I had purchased from in the past. These people are what every dealership should be.

I bought a truck from here. I flew across the country to get it. They were supposed to have a few things fixed/added to the truck. They had a little over two weeks to get the things requested done, including 85% of the paperwork. I was promised everything would be ready so I could get in and get out. It took over an hour to do paperwork and the truck wasnt finished. I ended having to get a rental and wait around for 4 days till my truck was finished. Once I got the truck it was leaking oil/trans fluid. Customer service was not very good

When I took my truck in for service on a wheel, they returned the truck without my brake caliper bolted back on. I drove away and after a few miles, and after they had closed, I heard a rattling noise. After identifying the issue, I had to buy the bolt and screw it in myself. Obviously sunset ford couldnt be trusted to do the work.So from my perspective, I brought my truck in for service, and it was returned to me in a more dangerous, and completely unsafe condition to dive. The worst part is that they STILL charged me over $1,000 for the service they performed. They offered to send me $250 back for the inconvenience of having to buy parts and repair my truck myself. The truck being improperly fixed was bad enough but the way they tried to remedy the situation was negligent, disrespectful, and beyond frustrating. I will go out of my way to avoid them in the future
Wait seriously? Call for Price, on EVERY pre-owned Super Duty listed on the site? I was half tempted to call and literally ask the salesman to walk me through each individual vehicles price. I’ll just move onto a more transparent dealership. Waste of my time and games.

Excellent service other than recording the wrong mileage on service invoice. Small oversight. Vehicle washing needs improvement. Dirty water and brushes / rags leaving small service scratches in paint. Noticed this on the new cars as well.

Finished my car promptly for the oil change and service. Thought it was weird they didnt fill up my windshield washer reservoir. Maybe they dont do that in a service. But if it is included in the service kind of worried about what else was not done.

Took my vehicle to get a regular oil change for the first time since purchase. Charged me for a cabin filter I supplied, that was in my car when I purchased the vehicle. There was oil on both of my leather seats. They used the wrong weight of oil. When my husband called (weve both worked in vehicle service) they told him according to the parts center thats what the car takes.... are you kidding?? Youre asking the parts center but youre a service manager?? Absolute joke. Just spent over $100 on an oil change I now have to redo with no remorse from anyone there. Will never go back. And extremely glad I didnt pay for the oil changes for life!

Sunset Ford sold me a truck that’s a lemon and they knew it! I would never recommend anyone to these people! After I insisted that they fix the problem, they insisted on arguing with me over taking care of it. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.One thing I can say about it is the salesman, was a good guy and I’m sure if he knew more about the vehicle he would’ve informed us.

Don’t expect service to help you in any way. Instead, when your car is under warranty, they will tell you to rent a car until your appointment. My check engine light came on and I could no longer drive my car due to wires being melted. The next appointment was 2 weeks out so I asked if I could drop off for a loaner until it could be fixed. Mr. Patrick gave me a nice chuckle and said no but you can rent a car for $42 a day.Thank you Patrick for the awesome customer service because now I have found a GREAT MECHANIC and amazing customer service elsewhere.
When my 2019 Explorer died on my way to work a few weeks ago, I had it towed to where I bought my vehicle, but they were out til June to work on it, so I called & talked to Crystal in the Service Dept at Sunset Ford of Sumner and she was awesome & got my vehicle in and they had it fixed with-in 2 days! If any more issues come up with my vehicle, I will be having them work on it - highly recommend them!!

It was a good experience they did a good job on my recall notice of the master cylinder so I had them do a oil change and tire rotation and they found a bolt missing on the brake caliper and they fixed it which was great and I would definitely keep going back but I wish they had a loaner car
I purchased my car used from the Sunset family but took the car to have serviced at the Ford location as it was a Ford and had some manufacture recalls that needed worked on and some other issues. The Car was dropped off on June 1st and they told me that it would be looked at by the 11th at the latest. Not quick service but I agreed to it. Lucky me, they got it looked at on the 10th. After getting all details back they said it would be repaired and ready to go on the 17th as it would take 2 business days to get the parts in. Well I called them to find out the status on the 17th to only get the answer of, the tech didnt realize how much work it was going to be so it wont be ready until the 21st. I call on the 21st to find the status to get the answer that it might be ready on the 22nd or maybe even the 23rd.I should have got the 1st clue when it took me calling 3-4 times to begin with on multiple days to even talk to someone. Not just getting an answering machine, actually talking to someone and being told I would get a call back when the person I need to talk with gets off the phone.I asked to begin with about a loaner to get me by while they were servicing the car and was told NO, I reminded the service person today about that when I mentioned my disappointment and was told, well you can come get one today if you like... It is a little late for that.
Bought a used 2018 F-150. My sales rep was Joey, he was very friendly, never pushy, listened to what I wanted and delivered. Randy handled the finance side, again was very pleasant to deal with. Im never excited about going to a truck/car dealership to purchase a vehicle. However, these guys definitely made it worth my time. Would recommend them to any family or friend. 👍

I was happy with the deal up until the end. After all paperwork was signed I was then told that the vehicle only came with with one key and key fob. I would expect to get two sets of keys with a purchase. Especially for the price. I was basically told sorry. I would think a second set would be made. They are not cheap to be made to bring in after the fact. A reputable dealer would I think make a set with the purchase.

Made a appointment for as soon as they open on a saterday 8am in a mouth Advance Since that was the only time available. Was Given an Estimated cost to flash my f350 back to stock from a tune for 160 dollars. I go in a few minutes early and wait just to be told to Drop my truck off for the day because they have other vehicles to work on when I have a camping trip scheduled for the weekend and that its gonna cost me $240 dollars. This will be the last time I go to this location.

I was looking for a Ranger Supecab and when I talked with a person online they said they had a 2020 Ranger supercab. So I get there they said they never had a 2020 but they had a 2021. So I was like ok and they appraised my vehicle and said I need to purchase something at least something over 40 grand. Also when I get there they barely had anything new on lot. They shouldnt advertise for something that they dont have.

After a really bad experience at a Ford dealership in Everett. Which we drove 2 hours to see a car they did not have. They pulled a bait and switch on us. I was referred Sunset Ford by my good friend Cravin. He arranged for us to meet Donny and Craig on Saturday. We went in and had the best car buying experience ever. Craig really knew the latest technology, he was able to teach my mother in law the basics fairly quick. We also got free oil changes for life! Love the new Ford Ecosport Titanium. Thank you Sunset

I was able to tell them all I could spend and they only showed me cars in that budget. They never tried to get me to spend more. I wish the finance department was a little friendlier or he was just in a hurry, I’m not sure. Overall it was a better experience with this purchase than my last, thanks to a better sales department.
Very unethical used vehicle sales practices, they will sell you a used vehicle before inspecting it for issues or detailing . And when it does get inspected they unwind the deal because it has to many problems. From my experience with Sunset Ford I suggest NEVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE BEFORE IT IS 100% READY FOR DELIVERY.

If Id known it was going to take less than 2 hours, I would have just waited and not called my wife.

Can I start off by saying if your going to buy a car. Go through Dillon. Purchasing a vehicle with him was the best decision. The car came with some details being a used car, but Dillon never once told me he would not take care of it. Thank you Dillon, randy in finance also for guying a extra mile in getting me the truck. I just bought a 2017 f250 January 28th went to use a sunroof for the 1st time when I was in Eastern Washington and the Sun roof broke would not open or close called to speak with as service provider was told they would call me back waited 4 days called them back then was told that the next morning the general manager would call me waited all day called him at 230 was then told your out of luck. Will never buy from them again. They do not care about customers only profits.

The only complaint I have about this dealership is the fact that I cannot email anybody to make arrangements for service on my truck. I have sent multiple emails to the service department and had them ignored
Great service today. They got my car in and out promptly for my oil change service.
Took my 13 Fusion in for an oil change, a couple of recalls, and a non-function LED turn signal. Took them three days to complete the work. Service advisor was Okay, I have a 3rd party warranty, which he asked about when I dropped the car off. However, when it came time to see if parts were covered he made it sound like it was a mountain of work to call and see if it was a covered item. I called the warranty company and they said he could easily submit a claim online. I called him back and told him the website and he stated that they are always difficult to use. I went online and looked at the submission form and it was basic info on vehicle and the repair to be made. Simple questions and a spot to attach an invoice for verification. After some of my own research found the item wasn’t covered. Meanwhile they hadn’t even started on my oil change until day 2. This is second time I have had a less than stellar interaction with their service department. Going to try another Ford Dealer in the area.
Although I love my new F150, I would not buy from this dealership again in the future. They were friendly and communicative during my initial inquiry but as soon as I signed the papers and drove off the lot they stopped answering my calls and email. (All I wanted to know was if they had the spare key.) On the plus side, the gentleman in finance was very pleasant to deal with.
