In your reply, it has been addressed numerous times to no avail. Damages were notated by the inspector as well. You are responsible to fix the home. Its brand new, recently purchased.The BBB, Attorney Generals office and Clayton Headquarters will be notified that you failed as a licensed dealer to comply with safety standards.Home bought from Clayton Homes, beautiful. However when it was moved to a persons lot it suffered infrastructural damages!The inspector came out and notated all damages. The owner has repeatedly called for a month now with no response to fix the damages.This is unprofessional, discreditable and definitely unfair business practices!They are now planning to consult with an Attorney.Brand new Clayton home. I will never buy from this company.*****If I had a choice it would be NO STARS*****

Reason for a 1 star.When browsing I like to take my time and not feel rushed. Came on the lot home was open we went inside only to be greeted by sales person (very nice lady)saying she would have to show us around. Her reasoning because of COVID-19. But we have a grter chances of infecting each other if your following me in each home. I rather roam alone. IDK but it maybe better to have an open house.

Sales guy Darryl was very nonchalant and could careless about my questions or how I felt either buy or stop wasting my time that is the impression I got from him.

Darryl at the Sumter SC, location was not to up beat to discuss much about business. He was more straight forward and cut dry. He gave me an application to fill it out and said to bring it back. Basically dont wast my time and your time. Not good business partice.

Words cannot show the appreciation we have to Lawrence Butler. Someone torched our house on Lake Murray.He bent over backwards to help us out. He pointed out a double wide, and asked if we liked the layout.We bought it and he had it delivered to the lot.It looks good and we appreciate it, very much.

Do not buy a house from Clayton Homes in Sumter, SC. They make many promises that they do not hold up to. I purchased a 2019 doublewide from them and there are numerous repairs needed that has not been addressed as of today (BATHROOM REPAIRS, FLOOR REPAIR, ETC. YOU NAME IT, IT NEEDS REPAIRS. To say this is a new home, it has many defaults and they consistently promise that someone will be out to fix it and no one ever comes. The few contractors they have are incompetent. Lawerence Butler is the Manager and he claims to ensure that his customers get the best treatment but those are lies. Ive had issues since I purchased my home in December 2018. Issues with the delivery of the home, the setup of the home, getting the repairs completed, once repairs are completed (shotty job), it needs to be done again. PLEASE CONTACT CLAYTON HOMES IN COLUMBIA OR LEXINGTON SC BECAUSE SUMTER CLAYTON HOMES IS NOT TRUE TO THEIR WORD. THEY ALWAYS FORGETTING WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND THEY DO NOT PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS FIRST. WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCE WITH DARRYL, LAWERENCE, RUTH AND THE ENTIRE CLAYTON GANG IN SUMTER. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO, THEY WOULD RECEIVE IT.THE GOOD REVIEWS COMES FROM THE EMPLOYEES AT CLAYTON HOME. THEY HAVE TERRIBLE SERVICE

My husband did work for these ppl and when it came time to pay, we got the run around. FINALLY got paid over a week later and then shorted his check. Now its been ANOTHER week and still havent got the money they shorted him.

Very unorganized and unprofessional. Salesman claims to have 25 yrs of experience seems like he only had a 5 mins of experience. Wouldnt recommend nobody to buy a home from them. I advise people to take their business elsewhere. He making business look bad for Clayton Homes when their policies make them look bad enough. STAY AWAY FROM CLAYTON HOMES!!!!!!

Extremely unorganized when it comes to getting everything done. Have to constantly remind them of everything. What was supposed to be appx 2-3 months has taken 5 and were still not moved in. Go somewhere else.
