This ace hardware is the most wonderful ace hardware in Arizona! Honestly it’s got five stars because as soon as I walked in the door I was kindly and calmly greeted by a woman who helped me get everything I wanted. So of course I bought an extra something because I was so delighted to be shopping in such a wonderful store. I will definitely be back to buy my hardware needs! Thanks again

Its close by to my home. It saves time instead of going to one of the big stores such as Home Depot or Lowes. Of course prices were a little more than a regular big stores such as Home Depot but I saved time and I saved gas.

So many times I wish I had just gone here first. Knowledgeable staff is always spot on. Very well could be the best hardware store in town.

This visit was the first time I’d ever been at this store. What a wonderful selection of the most random things. We were going for birdseed and bird feeders. They had tons to choose from and their prices were just as good as Walmart. I will definitely be back

People who work there are always nice and friendly. They had closed the store pretty earlier though. My husband ordered some tool online in the store and called us when it was ready to pick up. They dont have a lot of collections but overall the experience was wonderful.

I had 3 house keys cut and they are not working. Took them back to have them checked /recut. He says they are correct, but did a minor adjustment. They still do not work properly. My 2 originals work fine. I see a good many negative complaints on the reviews about the key service. I will go somewhere else and suggest others go elsewhere as well.

It reminds me of the neighborhood hardware stores. The staff is very helpful. They get many items you do not find anywhere else. The parking is a bit tricky. It is a very busy parking lot.

Refused to honor sale price of a product purchased six days ago with receipt still in hand. We have been faithful customers of this store and this is the final straw. I asked if I should buy the product today at the sale price and return it with my original receipt to get a refund? The person I spoke with said I could do that, but they would not be accepting any returns until the virus crisis was over… Which certainly will extend past the 30 day return policy. No common sense and limited customer service. Jerry, however, is the most helpful person there! Wish I could’ve spoke with him. Maybe the same answer, but I presume better CS.To support this review, I witnessed 2 customers treated rudely last weekend. A gentleman came in with pvc and was instantly told the store wasn’t accepting returns. He had to let her know he brought it in to find the correct fitting. Another employee who was called to the front to help a customer with paint announced “they’re just gonna have to wait”.I appreciate the follow up from the owner. The issue was resolved in a timely and courteous manner. Thank you.

Poor man who had to help a very irate customer and staying kind while being attacked verbally and aggressively. I showed up 10 minutes to closing and needed only 1 thing. I noticed alot of cool things on my way in and out. I plan on returning.

I have had the experience in a big box hardware store that when their associates are gathered then it means I had to wait for their story to end in any hope of being acknowledged or helped at all. Not at all the case here! This staff works great together and they acknowledge you immediately. I would challenge you to enter and get past the cash wrap without being greated. It simply wont happen. Personalized service the way it should be.

Didnt have what I needed. Looking for an odd size O ring. No problem.

The place was very clean. The staff new everything and were it was.

Dropped off 6 locks to be rekeyed at 944 am over 2 hrs and 45 min. later still was not done. John said he was having trouble with 3 of the locks. So I asked if I bought 3 new locks would they rekey for free? I Was told by John and the female store manger flat out No. The manager said that the labor to rekey a lock was extensive. Which is a lie . 15 mins max. Will not be returning to this store for any reason. I thought home depot had bad service but they are better than this.. first time in the store and will be the last. Cant belive they are willing to lose a first time customer over 6 Bucks.. john did try very hard and was able to rekey all but one lock but then the manger got involved. Long story short. She refused to sell us a new lock and got a very big attitude raising her voice and said all i did was complain when I was voicing my opinion and asking questions.. 10/18/2020

The employees at this store could all teach a master class in excellent customer service. They are great. Sandra Elvin, Jutta, they cannot do enough to help you find what you are looking for. What a difference from wandering through cavernous Lowes Depot looking for an item. Ace Sun City will walk you over to the exact aisle and item you need. Thank you Sandra and crew!!!

Ace hardware is always overpriced on everything but they have some of those Hard to find items you are looking for,but still way over priced. I have to say if you are a hard place in need something quick and might find it there might be worthwhile paying the price!

I went in to buy door hinges and needed wider screws. A very nice gentleman was helping me when someone else walked up, he asked a question and the man helping me stopped helping and started talking with this man. It gets better, he said Ill be back and started helping him instead. I walked out.

I just had a very disappointing experience trying to return a small tool I purchased yesterday. I had decided to buy local and pay $44 instead of $27 on Amazon so I could have it immediately. When I got it home, I found that the tool did not do what the packaging said it would. So, today I tried to return it. I was told that if I had opened the package and used the tool it would not be returnable. I had to open the package in order to try and see if it would work so, of course it had been opened. I guess to them I looked like the kind of crook who would buy a tool, use it as I needed and then return it to get my money back. I told the lady that it was ridiculous that I could not return it and said I would be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Ace is the place! There is always a helpful hardware man to help you out. You definitely dont get that kind of service at big box stores. I bought a gallon of paint stripper today for $12 less than Home Depot! Their 2 gallon pump up sprayer is a bargain at $19.99 and even more so on sale today at $13.99!

This is your old-fashioned hardware store. They seem to have a little bit of just about all that the home handyman might need. Another plus is that they are friendly and available to help.

Im a local electrical contractor and ace is my neighborhood hardware store. It seems like the manager is always moody and never smiles. She is never reasonable and I have to buy parts and material there a lot and sometimes i dont want to go in and have no choice. So sad

This store is on Bell Rd & 99th Avenue.I love this store! The first time I visited was in 2017, when we moved to Sun City. I continue to go to the store that sells all things Sun City, as I was told by a gentleman in another store. Because of the age of our homes out here, it takes weird sizes and fixtures and little bulbs. Ace Hardware, at this location, has everything we need! And the people there are all so nice and helpful!

Ace is not capable of cutting keys! Brought in a car key to have cut. The first guy cut it and it didnt open the car door, then he had me come back when another employee could look at it, as he had better luck at Toyota keys After the second time it didnt work. I returned to ask for a refund of $30 for the cutting. They refused to refund me and Im now the owner of an $90 key that opens nothing!

The manager was very helpful and the Service department made our keys quickly.

Sometimes the employees arent very helpful or knowledgeable but this Ace Hardware does carry all the Sun City oddities.

I got some blank mail keys cut. The manager told me she cant guarantee they would work. Fine, I get that - if they were done right. They keys were not cut properly and did not match the original. They refused to do anything about it when I called so thats $20 down the drain with incompetence hidden behind a no guarantee excuse. Again, I understand there isnt a guarantee theyd work but the least they could do is hire someone who has a basic understanding of how to properly cut keys. This is a terrible excuse of a store and absolutely horrible customer service.

Ive been here many times and have always had friendly service and they have always been helpful. The have things for the Sun City area that no one else has. They deserve to be supported here for that reason alone.

Sorry but I feel like every time I go there I never quite find what I need. This last time I the taping mud I bought there took the paint off where I was patching the wall. I was had to strip a large section of the wall and fix that mess.

Very poor customer service. I tried to return an item I purchased the previouse week but since I did not have the credit card it was purchased with they refused. I was told it was their policy to only return payment how it was paid. When I responded that should not matter as my card had been charged and they got payment I was told they were charged a fee. I agreed to pay the fee but was refused again. I asked for store credit and was refused again. After some heated discussion I eventually got store credit for just the price of the item but the $4 tax I paid was not returned. Now I have store credit to a store I never want to patronize again.

My husband and I are there at least every other week. They always have eveything we need and always have a person to ask where to find it, always so helpful!
