Brand new Whole Foods Market located in downtown Sunnyvale. Ample parking, short lines, never out of stock items, and friendly staff. Located in downtown Sunnyvale near Target, restaurants and bars, and El Camino Real. This store has many special features - lines are short and its located in a great spot.[The Features]A full beer bar with seating, a sushi table, a deli, meat and seafood, produce department, and many grocery items including beer, wine, and spirits.[Welcome Addition]The parking here is one of the best parts. They have a dedicated parking lot just for the store. You can bring your carts to the lot and there is an escalator that brings the carts down. The staff here is also great. They have many cash registers and the lines are managed well. We never have to wait more than a minute or two. This is one of our new favorite spots for going grocery shopping!
Just opened last week (Oct 2020). Really nice. Expansive. Staff are cordial and super responsive. Everythings well laid out, but it can still be difficult to find some things simply because theres so much of everything. Even if youre not interested in sweets, stop by the bakery and take a gander at the absolutely gorgeous custom cakes. Garage parking is handy.
Good experience at store during pickup. Again person in store getting my groceries chosen green hard papaya that will rot and never ripen. They need to be trained on chosing products.
Very neat, clever usage of fridge space, like the shelves for small items like spices and chocolates, the chilled drinks are all placed in one section unlike Los Altos, appreciate the team member picks, lots of hot food options and fancy cakes. Unfortunately they dont have ground chicken other than prepackaged. As someone else mentioned, there were no recycle or compost bins and had to give my personal details to sit down outside. It was apparently for COVID related policy.
Wow. What a surprise to see Whole Foods across from Target at Downtown Sunnyvale. Both are my favorite stores to shop. Of course, I came to WF for fresher groceries.
Perfect place for anything from fresh veggies and fruits to dairy, bakery items, deli products as well as home supplies. They have fresh supplies. Clean and well maintained hygiene at the store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an option for garage parking and some street parking option.
A lot of good items and prices are coming down with the 365 brand. I think this is a wonderful place to shop and is a good source of organic products
The best organic food in my area 😇.I put 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ because this store has only around 60%-70% of the regular whole foods products/offerings. Also, the new coffee bar is not open 👎🏻, for unknown reasons, presumably related to covid but the employees don’t even know why. Thats ok, I can give my coffee business elsewhere.
Great beer selection and in store food selection. The outdoor seating area is small but nice, half of it can get really windy. There’s also groceries here, so they say.
Very nice tap selection and an impressive list of food options for a neighborhood bar. Also good sized screens for sports ball games and refreshingly well lit and low noise levels making it easy to have a conversation.
Had a wonderful, if slightly overwhelming, experience at the brand-new, much anticipated Whole Foods Market today. It was an adventure exploring the enormous store! I was most excited about their huge selection of beers, wines, cheeses, produce, seafood, and meat. They have a huge beer selection, full of local brews and mainly full of IPAs and Stouts, for the most part (not complaining because thats mainly what I drink). Would have loved more organization of what is from where and what kind of beer they are.I had to ask for help finding things, especially since the store is so new and so large, and I didnt know my way around just yet. The employees were super friendly and helpful though. I was asked if I needed help many times when I didnt and when I did they showed and guided me to whats on sale and whats a good deal, not just the priciest item on the shelf.Recommendations: Park in the parking structure and enter from there if youre grocery shopping, park across the street in the Macys lot of youre going for Floodcraft Brews (beer, food, coffee) or Whole Foods cooked to order section, which includes rice bowls, soups, sandwiches, sushi, and charcuterie too (though the cheese is opposite the meats on the other side of the store, fyi, by the wines and beers). Also, bring hand sanitizer, many packages in house products had the labels on the bottom requiring picking them up, handling them, and checking the label to see what it is or whats in it. In COVID times, this makes me cringe, but, it looks nicer, I get that...Glad this was finished and is so close to downtown Sunnyvale. Excited to learn its secrets, best foods, and enjoy this newly minted cornucopia.
Convenient, lots of healthy selections. Got 4 hot food stations plus the typical food scooping area (now limited and prepackaged due to COVID). We got sushi and chicken Katsu curry. Both were good. Expensive. But expected at this location.Self check out line had plexiglass separating each station. 🤜🦠
I do not go usually here but when I go it is pleasant and my favorite is deli section many dishes to chose from. Deli section rarely goes on sale but I love the Indian and burritos.
Well kept up place, manned with efficient store assistance n billing counters for buying from a very wide range of produce . Was a delightful experience
This whole foods store is very spacious and has lots of food selection. I spent a lot of time browsing their beer selection the other day. I also like it the fact that it has garage parking.
Good selection of groceries .i bought artic char to cook for thursday night it should be good
The quality, good items. The merchandising: the item where it is at. This was well organized. I for sure will frequent this store.
Always clean! Love their diversity of ingredients.
Though it is a comparatively a bigger and newer store in the Bay, I find the staff and service significantly poorer than the other locations. Always had issues with the meat section staff, not compliant to instructions. They are mostly frustrated to serve the customers. The check out staff is also not careful with simple products such as eggs which are never checked or sealed like other Whole Foods stores. I would avoid this location in the future and prefer to go to Santa Clara or Cupertino locations.
This is definitely the best place to buy quality produce, among other high quality and locally made foods. A new, and pristine store. I may buy my salmon from another store, but I will always choose wholefoods for any produce I want.
Racial discrimination from this store! Hoping to buy the beef, but the guy in the meat counter trying all ways to make us difficult and refuse to serve us. Report this to the store manager but up to today we did not get any apology from this store! Also I found that the same stuff in this store is more expensive than the nearby store at Santa Clara. Extremely disappointed and will never come to here again.
Its nice to have a Whole Foods in Sunnyvale closer to where I live. I used to go to only the Cupertino one since it was the only one in the area closest to me. The staff are nice here but the selection of the food and the prepared food/hot food/deli isnt as good as Cupertino. Its disappointing.
This whole foods it very unique it even has a theater next door its worth a trip to check it out
The seafood is not fresh recently! I purchased salmon and other fish there, when I cooked them, it was so bad smelling, have to throw all of them.
Medium variety of moderate to high end grocery items with great discounts if youre an Amazon prime credit card holder. Several fresh to order food stands and coffee bar. Pickup and delivery options available. Lots of self checkout.
The customers are beautiful. Dot comer are everywhere in this place. Ive seen more personal shoppers then ever.
This is more like a big convenience store type of whole foods. The employees here are nice and super helpful.
I love this place! Definitely the optimal shopping experience for a vegan life style.
Wether youre a carnivore or a vegan Whole Foods has the healthiest organic foods for you. There staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are comparable to other stores in the area. But Whole Foods quality stands out above the rest.
Terrible customer experience. Rude cashier. Disrespectful, never had a worse experience; will only shop at other locations that never gave me a problem.
Its very big, probably one of the largest Whole Foods in the South Bay, and they carry non-groceries as well. It was pretty clean and stocked however I couldnt really find everything I was looking for, and some of the selections were missing. Regardless, it was clean, a bit crowded, and had helpful staff.
This review is specifically focused on the Sunnyvale store’s prepared food. We have tried the cakes, Asian station, Indian station, Pizza, frozen ready to eat dishes and we found everything didn’t quite “hit the mark” for one reason or another. This absolutely is not the case with Cupertino or Los Altos Whole Foods. This is very disappointing, since we would have liked to have Sunnyvale WholeFoods as a staple option for quick bite during and after Pandemic 😩 and location is ideal. Really hope Whole Foods management takes some action to improve food quality.
New spacious and not too crowded. The associates there are very nice and assistive.
I love how fully stocked this store is! Not sure if it’s because it’s new, but I was able to get everything I wanted (and more)! I also like how everything is well organized and spacious compared to some of the other stores. I also feel like there is more selection here.
Beautiful and pristine store, but the customer service is terrible! The store was rather slow, so two salespersons were chit-chatting while one rang me up. Didnt give me the time of day, just handed me my change and kept on talking. On another shopping visit, salesperson very rude, reluctant to show me where to find a product. So sad...Much rather go to Redwood City Whole Foods. At least theyre friendly there!
My experience here was incredibly poor. First I tried to call them at least four times for the Bakery, they answered but I got immediately put on hold. After about five minutes I got redirected back to the operator but they didnt answer and the system hung up on me. Second time they just hung up immediately.Third time I got put on hold right away, then it hung up on me again after another 5 minutes of waiting. Finally, after the 4th time I got a hold of the Bakery, I need a birthday cake by tomorrow June 12th and was told orders needed to be made two days in advance. After the hassle of trying to get a hold of them, this is very disappointing and not a good look on someones first try at ordering a cake here. I wont be returning for my Bakery needs going forward and will recommend other establishments.
Its very clean and organized in the store, but I found it a bit too bright for my liking. I know its a pandemic but I found it sort of annoying that a bunch of the doors are blocked off and unusable, so everyone has to go in and out through one door. They didnt have any individual slices of the cake I wanted, so I had to buy a whole cake.
The store is big, very organized & clean. They dont seem to have much help, but its a new store.
Pros: has food and other stuff as wellcons: must be silent when shopping. if you make a noise they will force you to stand on the podium of shame while other shoppers throw homegrown organic tomatoes at youoverall, felt pretty welcomed and had a good experience.
This is a new location for Whole Foods and they did an awesome job making it. Its one of the larger format stores with a great selection and ample parking. Its well maintained and is also close to Target so one run gets a lot of stuff done.
This is the newly opened Whole Foods Market store in Sunnyvale downtown area.Lots of parking places with some spots reserved for EVs (charging via ChargePoint). The store stack fresh fruits and vegetables along with a range of other groceries. Staff is polite and helpful.Carts are sanitized by the staff. The store requires face coverings at the moment.
Much anticipated opening. The store is enormous with a great selection of produce, and we spent quite some time exploring around. Everything is clean and organized. Parking is easy with a huge parking garage nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience.
There are fresh products and I love hot bar
New, modern style store. Its located at a very convenient location: within walking distance from Sunnyvale Caltrain/downtown. The employees were nice helpful. Its quite pricey but has good quality stuffs.
Super clean and how is it that all the staff are in a good mood?
This is my new favorite grocery store. Its beautiful its got wide aisles. Lots of choices of quality food. Very nice employees. Shop here often; keep this location open. Grin
Little weird there were abandoned carts across a working entrance, once inside spacious and good selection.
This store is brand new and beautiful. It is big and spacious, every department has enough space to not feel crowded and allows for people to have enough space from other shoppers. Every section is fully stocked with a large variety of products. There is also more than enough parking for this location.
This store is bright and spacious. It is great if you shop the perimeter of the store (produce, meat/seafood and dairy areas). The middle aisles seem to be lacking compared to other Whole Foods stores in the area.
New store (2020-Nov), it FINALLY opened. Has just about what you need. Not as large as some nearby stores, but maybe their stock will shift with time. I parked a block away and hiked in, which might not be great if you have a hulking cart.Close to a dozen other places and the Farmers Market, which is great for a combined multi store trip. This store will save me half an hour a week from going to a different store.
Great new location! With your Prime membership, some items are bargains! Love the 365 brand Ice cream, the breads baked on-site, AND the fresh baked pizzas! On Fridays theres a large cheese for $6.99, or anyday two large 1- topping for $24.99.
Always fun shopping here.Clean, spacious, great products...
My girlfriend cried at this location. The cashier let another customer cut in front of her when all her groceries were already on the conveyer belt. While the snarky customer was cussing without filter, the cashier said and did nothing to make things right and salted the wound by nodding and smiling at the rude customer. Will never shop here again and telling my friends this isn’t the place for decent human treatment. Management should look into training or releasing this incompetent worker.
Great selection of fruits and vegetables, good selection of local, domestic and imported beers.
Its fun shop Im like going often when needed!
Covid safe. The store is well assorted and organized, helpful and friendly staff. Some Items are pricier but organic and ethic sourcing are worth the cost.
This is a brand new store with all the necessity of a market belongs to Amazon.
Convenient and great foods selection. But EV charging fee is expensive. Hope the merchant could change it back to complimentary as it used to be. Perhaps, free for the first two hours as Target does nearby!
Smaller compared to the one in Los Altos. Doesnt do Amazon drop off.
When Amazon cancelled my Christmas Eve order last minute, Sean here at The store saved my Christmas Eve by personally taking me aisle to aisle to pick the items for me right before store closed. This is real good customer service, reminds me of the wholefoods before Amazon took over. This location will be my go-to wholefoods from now on.
Good stock; nice, helpful staff
Stick to safeway if you want better quality and taste at competitive prices. A lot of items taste bland as compared to safeway. Stuff like fruits and sandwiches, salads, wraps at food counters are of lower quality and missing flavor than what you may get at safeway. Overall shopping experience is great and they also have good selection of beer but for the price you pay, you would think they would offer food with better quality. Raw Meats and seafood is fresh and great quality.
Terribly small selection of items. Could not find several items they normally carry. And then to top it off, thier carts lock up when you try to go to your car. I might expect that in large urban centers, but not Sunnyvale. Its rated one of the safest places in the US. Ofcourse no sign alerts you to this when you walk in and grab a cart. You are left to figure things out on the way out. No customer service, no help. What a rip off. Avoid the place.
Really nice store
New, clean and pleasant shopping experience.Well stocked with quality and variety.Hope it stays this way a year from now.
Good place too buy organic food
Good sushi!
Presentation is spectacular! But I think the selection is more interesting at Trader Joe or Lunardis. And Sprouts is still the only source for Siggi vanilla drinkable yogurt.
This could be the best Whole Foods in the area, its new, big and beautiful, but they lack people a lot. If you want to buy meat - prepare to wait a lot of time since there is always only one person there and packed meat is not always refilled in time, the same happens if you want freshly cut ham.
Good place to shop for good food.
Is new in Sunnyvale, just open 10/29/2020 The oersonal is Excellent all the personal are very helpful, you find lost of Healthy and Delicious foods and more! I love it😍🥰🥰🥰
I was asked to leave the outside table because I was uncomfortable to provide my phone number in their weird “guest list” (something to monitor the spread of COVID. And I didn’t have any symptoms, also I had not been in contact with anyone diagnosed with the virus). While I’m always respectful and understanding of COVID related regulations, this particular one doesn’t make any sense. There are tens of people who come and stay inside the shop who are not asked to share their personal details, why do I suddenly have to do it as soon as I sit down on an outside (!) table?
Great food and soaps
Gorgeous store! Super clean, friendly ad helpful employees, loads of 🅿️ in the structure, easy access into the store and super location!
The clerk at the entrance carried our luggage to the car. While saying that today is the first day. Whole Foods with great people!
Stopped in here for the first time today and I’m glad it’s here! I had to shop at Target, so it was convenient to walk across the street after. It’s clean, bright and well-organized. I need to try the boxed sushi next time; I saw that it was $14 for the nigiri I was eyeing. There’s also some fresh hot items like pizza, rice bowls, noodles, and more. I love that they feature so many local purveyors too (bakeries, to-go items from restaurants, etc). There were quite a few Prime deals posted, so don’t forget to scan your barcode or enter your phone number at the register when shopping to get the discount!
9.99 for gummy bears that ate 2.99 at Walmart
It is a new store, so the crowds are less. But the staff dont seem very engaged. We waited at the hot food counter for over 10 minutes before we walked away to another counter, last weekend. This weekend, one of the cashiers who helped us was only half - heartedly wiping down the grocery items between customers, leaving me quite concerned who invested are they in customer safety during Corona times.Other than that, it is like a regular whole foods store with similar selection and layout.
Good layout!
Nice and clean. The staff were extremely kindly to guarantee a superb shopping experience.
Loved this new location. The layout is great, and its much closer to home.
Bought dungenous crab for $9.99 lb. Got home and it smelt bad and was brown meat. It was terrible and had to throw it in the garbage.
Beautiful store and staff is super nice. But ordered two identical veggie sandwiches with ALL veggies plus avocado and was charged for their Tempeh Bacon and Avocado sandwich ($9) and hardly any vegetables. Just barely a smarter of arugula, avocado, tomato and onions. No pickles, no Cucumbers, no romaine, no olives, no spinach. A $9 dollar sandwich with virtually nothing on it. Normally I’m charged $7 at other Whole Foods because it’s literally bread plus veggies. The clerk fixed this for me but I basically ate a thick Cibata bun with barely a thing in between. Was very disappointed (and still hungry! Highly considering eating the second sandwich that I bought for tomorrow’s lunch but it’s too much bread, lol). Otherwise, loved the store for aesthetics and selection. I think I’ll still be going to the Whole Foods in El Camino Real for my sandwiches in the future. If anything else, their selection is a lot bigger. I bought about $65 worth of sake and Soju. They’ve got some great stuff!!
Excellent store very big lots of variety of eatables neatly stacked very spacious good staff
Good quality food and wide variety of products. Big attached parking.
Brand new location, nice parking, amazing building, kind staff. An overall great Whole Foods.
This new market is nice. Not nearly as crowded as I was afraid it would be when I was there just before dinnertime.
Best Whole Foods Ive ever been too. Beer selection is great!
The fresh baked bread is the best around. Many things very expensive and better bought elsewhere, so have to search for the deals and be selective.
Big and new WFM with delis and hot bar plus more.
Nice new store. Really no one shopping
Good customer and selection of food.
Nice and clean store, except employees especially the cashiers are so so so cold in this store.
Very disappointment on vegan choco cookie they not fresh
Clean and lot of choics
Tried calling the bakery twice and they keep putting you on indefinite holds
This is what they gave to me as steaks. And charged as for steaks.Disappointed. Ruined our dinner.
