Can I give this business 6 stars? I have been exclusively going to ball auto for the past 3 years for everything. Everyone is super friendly, professional and even recognize me by voice!My last visit, I took my car in for a full tune up (oil, transmission fluid flush, brakes, etc). Expecting to pay well over $1000, they called me and said All you needed was an oil change. All other fluids are good for a while! You might want a new battery.They could have charged me for the full service, but decided not to since I didnt need it. Honesty is keeping me as a customer for as long as I am alive.Theyve helped me in the past by giving me a free quart of oil when I needed it, helped me for free with a stripped screw in my license plate....If you need a mechanic in Tacoma, please give them your business.

Couldnt be more pleased! This is the first time Ive been able to afford to take my car to a mechanic. I felt like my whole car was on the bring of collapsing. Something with the suspension/steering was making a LOUD sound and the car felt like it was swimming it was so loose.I called on a Tuesday and got an appointment for Friday. They called after a few hours to say they werent sure yet what it was, theyd look at it further and call me back when they had an answer. By 3:00 they called and told me it is was the CV axle and intermittent something or other. They were going to order the part and I could bring it back the following Wednesday. When I picked the car up and went in to pay, he is told me no charge! I couldnt believe it. Buckys charged me almost $200 dollars for one hour to diagnose my car just to tell me I had to take it to the dealer, THAT was my only other (almost) experience with a mechanics shop.I brought my car in Wednesday and it was ready by Friday in perfect working condition!! For EASILY half the price of anywhere else.Friendly.Honest.FAIR.And TRULY the only place I will ever take a car.I spent all the money in my bank account to fix my car and Ive never felt so good being broke! Lol.Thanks you thank you!

We have been using them for 5 years. we have had many beater commuter cars in this family. they are wonderful. always friendly and great customer service. they always call with updates and have the car ready and done when they say. we dont live in Tacoma anymore but we still use them for anything. the best!!!

I love this place! They are always so friendly and helpful and my car is well taken care of. I go to them first and have only gone elsewhere because I have a car that is a closed system so some repairs need to go to the dealership or an authorized repair place. If its something they can do, Im taking it to them.

Ive had nothing but exceptional experience with these guys, theyve done great work on my BMW for incredibly reasonable prices when compared to the dealer. All the employees are extremely friendly and helpful, and clearly hold themselves accountable to provide quality service. Ball Auto is a shining example of why you should patron a local expert rather than try and save a buck or two at a chain facility, these guys will end up picking up where those places drop the ball in the end anyway, save yourself the headache.

The best service Ive ever gotten from mechanics. The first time I went the owner dealt with me and was incredibly pleasant. The second time I went I dealt with a different employee and he waa even more pleasant. Great work, great staff, very able to get you an appointment quickly.

A landmark of Tacoma one of the oldest bass stations in the north end my great grandparents got there gas here and and Mr Balls grandson works the gas station now not something you find anymore its great!

Needed an oil change on my CRV. Did not want to go to a Jiffy Lube. Thought I’d try out my neighborhood mechanic shop after reading the rave reviews. Honestly do they pay people to write them? Ha, kidding. Did my oil change and used synthetic oil for less then I was paying Jiffy Lube for conventional oil. I just found my new auto mechanics.
