Awesome upholstery shop the guys there are a wealth of knowledge and if they ever leave it will be a sad day and the upholstery game. They do call the classic car and modern car all car actually interior work. I had my headliner done my 73 Monte Carlo swivel seats redone my rear seats redone front and rear dash cap rear window removed and reinstalled. After I wire the car for sound I will go back and have the carpet put in. Totally worth the money quality work you dont find people like these guys around that often.
These guys are top notch. The dealership wanted way too much money to fix my moon roof so I took my truck thier to have my moon roof repaired. They were quick and efficient and had me back on the road in a few hours. Theyve been in business for a very long time and its awesome to see the old pictures they have in there waiting room and all the beautiful cars they customize in their shop, just a great stand up company. I would definitely come back and do business here again!
I have had several successful project with Auto Speciality, and both Jim and John are extremely knowledgeable about classic cars. They replaced a convertible top on a 62 galaxy for me, and reupholstered my dads 62 Impala. Both projects had excellent results, and Ill continue to take my projects to them in the future.
This place is amazing. Family owned. They have done all upholstery work on all of my projects, including my bugs headliner, vinyl seats in my boat, and even the clear vinyl in my Bimini top. Go here. You wont be disappointed.
The window fell out of our 2006 convertible. John quoted to repair it but pursued finding out it our roof was under warranty...IT WAS! John kept our car inside until the new, free roof arrived and did an excellent, timely install so that we could keep a planned vacation!
Like the others have mentioned, the customer service is unordinarily bad. I called about a water leak in my car. The person on the phone told me they were busy, but to come for a quick inspection and then they would set an appointment a couple of weeks out. I drove to the Auto Specialty on South Tacoma the following day. The mechanic there told me hes got plenty of work and doesnt need any more customers. He was rude and unprofessional.
Tried to schedule an appointment here because they had quoted me a reasonable price for what I wanted. After passing me around on the phone, some angry old man answered and told me he didnt want to schedule me because he didnt feel like doing another water leak service. If you dont feel like doing it, then retire! Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.
Went in to have my sunroof fixed. Still having issues with it. Plus the guy was EXTREMELY rude.Im going to find a competent shop to work on my car.
I had the guys to update my headliner and the results were outstanding.
I had a water leak in the trunk of a 2008 Cadillac. They did the work on the day it was scheduled, the price was reasonable, and the problem was solved. I would recommend them for other body work because the shop is clean with various classic cars being repaired.
The ragtop on my Audi was still in good condition, but the seal around the window was bad. The cost of a whole new top was outrageous!! So I called Auto Specialty and spoke to Jim- je said bring it in and hed take a look...5 days later the seal is fixed, looks great and a hell of alot less money.Jim. Is. A. Rockstar.
Called this morning saying I had a water leak in my vehicle. Elderly man said words to the effect of I dont feel like doing that I was completely shocked.
I wouldnt even give them one star, worse costumer service Ive ever had he was very rude and just plain horrible and bitter. He basically told me that he didnt want to check out my car and that theres really nothing I can do....seems like he hates his job and is waiting to go on vacation...horrible person!
The owner does the work and he’s a little odd. Not a people person but he does great work! You can expect to have to schedule out a week or two.
People that care and are not trying to make a quick buck off ya.
