Bought some 3/4 walnut veneer plywood and 3/8 mdf for a TV console project I wanted to do. Im a complete novice and wasnt exactly sure what I was looking for. These guys worked with me and helped me figure out what I needed for my project (most places wont even give you the time of day if you dont know what youre looking for). The rates are reasonable too and the quality is good. All around great experience!Edit: The 3/8 mdf sheet was used for the back panel and the doors. I used a radius V groove router bit to cut the cross hatch design into the doors. Also, the walnut edge banding has held up very well for over a year now.
I called Edensaw earlier last week for lumber pricing and confirmed it yesterday over the phone. When I showed up at 4:20 pm an employee told me they don’t have the product I twice inquired about. The same employee also told me they were closing at 4:30 and turned me away. I’ve since verified that the business closes at 5 pm. My experience over the phone with this company was very different in person. I won’t be buying lumber here and would warn other POC from doing business here.
Very professional & excellent service, high quality Hardwoods & veneer and reasonable prices.
What can I say? These guys are amazing. They start with an awesome selection and more than reasonable prices and end with really going above and beyond helping me get my truck loaded up. Everyone Ive spoken to there was friendly and professional and went out of their way to be helpful. Ive ordered from them twice now and I dont expect to stop any time soon. The only thing I wish they did was have later hours or Saturday hours.
I just went there for some fancy woods, Tony really went above and beyond to be helpful. They didnt have much but little cut ends and some single beams, but thats what I was after. The really good stuff is up in Port Townsend. Just ask for Tony and hell either show you what they got, or tell you where else to go. The entrance is a tiny door around the back side on 25th st.
Edensaw provides the consumate woodworker with the religious experience that the name implies. It is a type of heavenly tropical hardwood/tool garden and proof that an Eden of sorts still exists... minus the snake.
Awesome
This seems like a great store - but Tony at the Tacoma location is what makes this place outstanding. He goes the extra two miles to help me figure out the right materials and get what I need.
Great branch of Port Townsend Edensaw. Small staff, can get just about anything...(bring money!)
Enjoy working there!
