Bobby and the entire team are great. They really care to make sure youre delivered both quality service and products.I gave them a pretty herculean task of wiring my pickups a certain way. They spent a lot of time experimenting with it but they made it happen.This is a good place for your money to go. Theyre great for the music community.

Went there to shop for reeds. Not only did the employees give me great advice on the kind I should buy for the sound I’m looking for, but they were 2/3rds of the price I normally pay at other stores. Good staff and good prices is not always guaranteed in a music shop so that was really nice.

They’re okay...don’t have a lot of varieties when it comes to certain instruments. This older white guy walked in before me but when I walked in I was asked “Can I help you?” .... I don’t know, I got weird stares...just felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there...don’t know if it was because I’m black or what...even a black guy that works there looked at me weird lol...but Guitar Center is my go to anyways...

I brought a couple of guitars in for setup on a Tuesday and I was told it would be a week at most to finish them because there were three or four customers ahead of me. I called back one week later and somehow theres 5 guitars ahead of my ticket and Im told to call again on Saturday. Saturday rolls by and Im told one of the guitars is ready but theres still guitars ahead of the other one and to call back Monday because the technician wasnt there. Today is Monday and tomorrow will make two weeks. I called and Im told it will probably be Wednesday before the tech even sees the second guitar because theres another 5 ahead of it. How did the number of jobs ahead of mine keep increasing? And how have my two guitars, which I brought in at the same time for the exact same service, a standard setup, gottenseparated like this? During one of my calls they mentioned services that werent on the original ticket I was handed at drop off. I assumed they were just being nice and doing a thorough job at first. However with these delays I am suspicious theyre trying to tack on extra charges. Im waiting patiently for the guitars to be finished, but Im not holding my breathe. If you want punctuality and a steady, first come first serve experience, this is NOT the place for you. Thanks to these delays I wasnt able to surprise my dad for his birthday with his Les Paul set up and playing again after 5 years and my nephew isnt getting his bass guitar on time either.

We have been renting a trumpet for my daughter and her school program this year. It was time to return the trumpet and I left an email asking about the protocols during this shut down time. They responded quickly and let me know the protocol. Several days later one of the associates was coming to Thomasville to pick up instruments from a local school and called me to arrange to pick up the instrument. He was very kind, professional, and helpful! I appreciate that he was willing to go out of his way to help us return the trumpet! Thank you!!!

I haven’t touched a guitar in probably a decade and wasn’t even that good when I played back in the day. Looking to pick up a new hobby or two and decided properly learning the guitar might be fun again. Did not want to go to a music store and deal with uppity, know it all musicians and was going to just order new strings and some small stuff online. Ended up changing my mind and popping into MM. Chatted it up with “Cam” and I believe “Joel” and had a great experience. I left the store feeling more excited and encouraged to pick up the guitar than when I went in. Now let’s see if I can just stick with it. If I do, I know where I’ll be going for future purchases. Thanks Cam, Joel, and James for making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer even though I did not spend a lot of $$. Local > Big box retailers.2nd visit wasnt as good. Cam was still pleasant. I tried to trade in a piece of equipment I wasnt using so I waited 30 minutes for the manager. After I got his time he simply said something to the effect of, we dont really mess with those type of devices so we cant do anything. I asked what he suggested and he said pawn shop. Not going to take an expensive a$$ midi keyboard to get $50 at a pawn shop. I wasnt selling it for crack, I was trading to get something more expensive. Just give me the time of day is all I ask.

Excellent staff and great deals. I came in wanting to buy a harmonica holder a couple of weeks before writing this review. I fell in love with a Taylor Mahogany Top 320. Beautiful guitar and I knew that as a college student, I couldnt pay anything close to what the retail was. They allowed me to trade in my old guitar and gave me close to full value of what I bought it for! Then they beat Guitar Centers trade in offer when I asked them for a quote! The owner really cares about his business and was willing to work with me. I now know why it is so important to keep local shops alive and in business. I am the proud owner of the most beautiful guitar Ive ever seen and thanks to some great businessmen, I can continue my dreams of becoming a Music Therapist! They even have a well trained service staff and will fix all the big name brands of guitars, keyboards, and amps! I know where Im going to get my future music supplies from now on! Absolutely incompetent personnel. A few weeks ago I visited MusicMasters to look for some digital pianos with good actions, but since they didnt have any higher-tier models, I got a business card from one of the salesmen and went home.After a few days I sent him an email asking about particular models and he said hed ask manufacturer about the possibilities of bringing them for demo and get back to me. After he had not responded for 2 weeks I followed up, but my emails went ignored. I called to the shop to see what is going on and every time I got the same answer: tell us your name and email address and we will get back to you. Except they didnt. I would be ok with them saying sorry, we cant bring in the model you wanted, instead of being ignored like that.Congratulations, MusicMasters. Finally, after weeks of waiting Im buying from a different retailer. Is this how you do business? I would certainly not recommend this shop to anyone.

This store has the friendliest folks I have ever run across. I decided to give them a go on two basses of mine. An M7 Sire and an F Series LTD 5 string. When Cameren opened the cases for me to inspect the work .... they took my breath away! I love my Sire but it had fret buzz and just didnt feel right. When I got home I went straight to the jam room and I just couldnt put it down!!! Amazing work guys!!! Ill be cycling my others through here very soon!! Outstanding!!!! These never looked or played better!!!

Left my trumpet with them for a basic cleaning. Waited over 3 weeks to get a call back on the status of the service only to find out that they’d done nothing with my horn yet. Another 3 weeks pass, a second phone call; still no progress. The week before the end of the semester and juries, I get a call that it’s done. Mind you, I had called at least twice a week every week from the time I dropped off my horn until then to see if it was done yet, and they only called me twice.If there were literally any other place in town to do repairs, I’d recommend going there over Music Masters

I brought in two guitars for setup, one was pretty simple and the other a bit more complicated. Cameron, the guitar technician, was nice enough to do the simple repairs the same day so I could get right back to learning and playing. That meant the world to me, and he was very knowledgeable and professional at every stage. Couldnt recommend MusicMasters more!

I have my Tenor Sax serviced here. MM has several sax players on staff so they really know how the instrument is supposed to perform. Always friendly and courteous!

Cool selection and nice staff, but I asked them to replace my nut on my guitar because of a slight rattling. I paid 50 dollars for them to make the rattling much worse and for them to tell me to contact my guitar manufacturer. Don’t use their tech support

Me and the rest of my whole band class (which is like 300 kids) all come here to shop for repairs, Reeds, and any kind of marching band gear. Its always a great experience here with their cool layout of all the instruments available for you to test. I know many people who rent their instruments here (including me) and have all found the quality to be rather good (I got my instrument rented for cheap and it looked like one of the more expensive rentals so that was nice)

This is a great place to go in and take a guitar off the wall and just sit around and pick a bit. The selection is limited premium instruments. They have a lot of beginner level guitars Services always great prices are fair staff is very knowledgeable. The service is the way I want it if you need them theyre available if not they just leave you alone and let you admire the instruments

I cannot deny the wonderful customer service and products they provide, however, my instrument only needed a few pads and corks repaired and it has been in the shop for two months as of today. They contacted me to tell me the repair costs and I approved it, however, there must have been a miscommunication along the way and when I came in to check on it a few weeks later, they said I never had approved the work order. I assumed it would be done quickly afterwards, but another month has gone by and I am still without my repaired instrument.

Time to get my grand daughters trumpet tuned up. Have to leave it there. They will call when ready for pick up in a week.

Ive been a customer for years, and this place is still awesome for music, instruments, and related accessories. The staff know their stuff and can help you find anything. They have a dedicated sheet music/songbook/technique book room thats a lot of fun to peruse with a lot of variety. They also have a wide variety of instruments available in a wide variety of price ranges. They fix broken instruments and clean them up, and they have always been honest with me in their dealings, but the main thing they have that cant be beat anywhere else is their expertise. The staff is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of instruments. Whatever you need, they can help you. This place is a gem worth the visit for anyone who wants to learn to play an instrument or anyone who has been playing for years who needs sheet music, a few accessories, or a little help maintaining their instrument.

My only electric guitar is a fender none more black series guitar that was given to me in 2004. I was never really a fan of the all black color scheme and had originally wanted something yellow or teal. In 2009 i tried to paint the none more black and it came out looking atrocious. It stayed that way until maybe 2015 when I brought it into MusicMasters and asked them to do what they could to get the paint off.The results were fantastic. The guitar is now a matte black, as opposed to the glossy factory finish. To me it looks 100x better and has a personality it just didnt have when it looked new. Fallen in love with my guitar for the first time after over a decade of ownership. Thank you MusicMasters!
