It was a little complicated because of lace and mesh, but she performed her magic and her alterations were absolutely beautiful. Shes also so kind and so enjoyable to talk to! Maura did amazing work on my daughter’s wedding dress. It was purchased off-rack and was a few sizes too large so Maura essentially took the dress apart and put it back together. The end result was absolutely stunning. Maura’s prices were clearly displayed and she gave us an estimate upfront. I highly recommend her work.

Maura is my hero. I took my dress to get the bustle and straps redone for my dress. I would post pictures but I had to postpone my wedding due to covid concerns. Maura is wonderful to work with and she nailed it. The straps of my dress were just the way I imagined them to be. Originally they were beaded spaghetti strap and I was not a fan. Maura was able to create a lace strap that was much more elegant than before. Also, she got my dress back to me in a WEEK. This woman is a superhero. You cant convince me otherwise.

Maura did an amazing job on my wedding dress! I asked her to make a deeper V for the back of my lace dress and it was done beautifully and still preserved the intricate nature of it. She also hemmed it to exactly where I wanted it and added a bustle. She got my dress done in plenty of time and I felt absolutely gorgeous for my wedding! Maura did an excellent job on my wedding gown alterations. My dress was probably a size or two bigger than I really should have gotten, but she was able to take in the sides so beautifully that no one would have ever known. She also redid the hem to a perfect length for walking and added a bustle that looked great and was easy for my bridesmaid to tie up. In addition, scheduling fittings was an easy process. She was very accommodating of my schedule, and I found her to be a very kind and easy to talk to person. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience working with Maura and highly recommend her!

Maura did a fantastic job on my wedding dress! I have a non-traditional style dress that I bought from Davids Bridal, but needed it taken in a little near the top and torso. I thought my dress was a goner after Davids Bridal altered it too tightly. I brought my dress to Maura and she was able to fix it with ease and so quickly! Maura took on my last minute request to add sleeves to my baby shower dress. She helped me brainstorm what would look best on me and work within our timeline and even completed the sleeves earlier than she originally projected. The sleeves turned out beautifully and Maura was such a lovely addition to my baby shower prep.

She didn’t help me put on my dress She didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing. After I asked her how much it was going to be she told me it was going to be over $500 or even more. She wouldn’t tell me a set price which I was iffy about. She charges $55 an hour which it was fine it’s just that she told me it was going to take her more than 10 hours but no set price. After I told her I wasn’t going to go with her because she didn’t have a set price for me she told me I owed her $25 for just a fitting which it was never mentioned when I was making my appointment with her I felt like that fee was very deceiving and it should’ve been mention before my appointment. Once I said it’s fine I’ll pay the $25 I gave her an American Express card she told me that she doesn’t take American Express and she was observing my wallet asking what was that card I told her it was another American Express card for my business then she said what about the target card I said it’s a target debit card it only works for target. Just the whole situation was weird I’m glad I didn’t go with her just know that if you make your appointment with her and you don’t go with her there’s a $25 fee I wish I would’ve read the reviews before I went. My mistake.

Maura was professional, competent, and confident. My daughter felt completely at ease leaving her dream dress with her. That matters! She even created custom cuffs with the leftover fabric from the hem! Felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door! Had Maura alter my wedding dress and it fit perfectly! I went back once for a fitting and then again to make sure the bustle was correct. That day she was able to make a couple adjustments and send me on my way! It was quick and Maura is a doll! Sweetest lady in the whole world! Highly suggest getting any item of clothing done here.

Our experience was absolutely amazing! We came home from work one day and saw that our dog had eaten part of my wifes teddy bear that she has had since the day she was born. My wife was very distressed by this and I was so relieved when I found Sewing Creations. Maura was very nice and understood the importance of this bear. She was able to repair the bear in just a few days (ahead of the timeline that she originally gave me). Now he is as good as new and its as if nothing happened! I have gotten many alterations done over the years by Maura. She is a skilled seamstress. Recently she altered a bathing suit for me. Im very short and always find it difficult to get a bathing suit that fits me. Maura altered the suit and its perfect! You absolutely cannot tell that anything was done. Thank you Maura!

Maura is a good seamstress who does quick service if you need it and will do her best to accommodate you. Her prices for some services are higher than others in the market but she tells you how much per hour in advance and I respect that her work takes time. One of my pieces was a dress I got on clearance and the alteration costed more than the dress & I could have gone somewhere else or returned the dress but I chose to have her do it because I really wanted/needed the dress and she did an amazing job! She also gave me life and yoga tips when she heard my health struggles :) and I will be going back to her when I am in town.

I’ll give her one star because she did hem my bridesmaid dress in good time and did a good job HOWEVER this lady is a con artist. She charged me almost $300 for alterations on a $180 dress. NEVER quoted me that price or gave me an estimate. She charges “by the hour” instead of per service performed therefore she makes her own rules. I felt trapped because i needed the dress to wear in my friends wedding but I swear if it were any other garment i would tell her to shove it. I hope this review discourages others from seeking her services and she learns from this. What goes around comes around!

Took in several pairs of pants for Maura to hem. Unfortunately, they were all too short and Maura blamed me. When I called her to find out when I could bring them back in, she became belligerent and argumentative. The more she talked, the angrier she became, accusing me of missing multiple appointments, which I did not miss. Her prices are very high and she was going to charge me again to clean up a mess of her own making. I chose her initially because of her high rating; just goes to show that not everything that shines is gold. Rude and obnoxious. I will now return to my reliable 3-star alterationist.

I would not recommend this place to anybody. I had 4 items to be altered, but owner said she did not have time for me because she was working on a bridal gown. She did not even offer to make me an appointment at a later time in the week. Rude, unprofessional, and poor social skills to say the least...
