My significant other ordered the picnic basket option from them as a surprise for my birthday about 2 days beforehand. When we arrived she found that they had lost our order. When that was straightened out they only gave us about half the food we had ordered- and one of the employees was incredibly trite about our concerns. The food was solid though.

Lazy.....best way I could describe the service and food, and that’s even a compliment. Sad that people hire these young entitled kids to ruin their business, making the patrons feel like they did something wrong....owner may want to make some changes

This coffee shop has so much potential. Its in a fantastic location, in a beautiful park, yet it continues to be plagued by fixable issues. As long as it’s been open, they’ve never had WiFi access. They continue to direct customers to the city park public WiFi, which is slow when working and spotty inside. For a coffee shop, not offering WiFi is a bizarre practice. Is it so cost-prohibitive? This is so easy to fix.The music inside is always incredibly loud and is usually an odd playlist for a coffee shop. This seems like a silly thing, but taking a phone call or a zoom meeting (when you can get WiFi) is really difficult when 90s hits (which, like a good millennial, I love as much as the next guy) are blaring in the background.Overall, the coffee is fine, the service is usually friendly and quick. But its a hard place to get work done or have a quiet conversation, and it doesnt have to be. A couple tweaks and it could be a great spot. I hope somebody sees this and considers making a few adjustments.

I visited this place for the first time and loved it! The latte I ordered was some of the smoothest tasting coffee Ive tasted. It was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and made my first experience a fantastic one, always smiling and eager to answer any question I had. And the location is incredible, right in front of the huge fountain in Cascades with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy looking at the beautiful park. Highly recommended and I will be back!

I love the location of this place as well as the ambiance and the coffee but, I’ll have to say that this place is just not consistent. Several times I’ve gone to do work and they’re closed early, or if I’ve been there already they close early. I went today and it was closed at 1:50pm. Also, the morning staff and afternoon staff make the lattes differently. I’ve found that in the morning they’re super creamy but in the afternoon they’re more watery/ the milk is less foamy. If they could get their schedule to be more consistent and have all the baristas make the lattes the same, it could easily be a five star place. The pictures show the same drink made by the girl in the morning vs. the afternoon.

Good coffee... Breakfast sandwiches could be better.Location and venue are quite nice.I recommend their espresso or coffee.. they have pour over. They have ice cream, which would be welcome on a hot day.The staff is friendly and courteous.I would return, but would be selective if ordering breakfast sandwiches.

The cashier was barely awake at 8:45am, coffee may have been a day old or just really weak, no sugar available to sweeten the coffee, and food was delivered with no napkins or utensils. Very disappointing. A perfect pandemic safe place to have a bite to eat and coffee if only they had decent food and coffee.

This place is great!! I prefer to stop in here rather than the connecting restaurant The Edison. - Its a great spot for hanging out and getting coffee. I tried the ice cream on a very hot day and it hit the spot! You can sit inside or outside...or even lay out in the grass! - This cafe is a great place in Cascades Park! No complaints here!

We paid 12 dollars for 2 iced lattes which were not lattes at all- they were iced coffee, which is nowhere near deserving of $6 a piece. We asked the girl working to refund us as we didn’t drink them. She said she did, and told us to have a good day without giving us any sort of receipt for the transactions. She never refunded us, so we paid for drinks we didn’t even drink or like. Horrible. It was Sunday 8/23 around 11:30 am! Beautiful location very bad experience!!

A confluence of great things can be found here. The coffee and treat are great. The food which includes sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and tasty treats is great. The service is great. The location and view is great.State employees receive a discount and prices are reasonable. This place is a treat, particularly during workdays.

One of the newest and coolest coffee shops in Tallahassee! The Power Plant is located in Cascades, beneath the Edison restaurant, with one of the single most relaxing views a coffee shop could possibly have. Just outside the doors is a waterfall, which gets even better if you hang around until it gets dark, as it is lit up. The coffee, energized by Catalina Cafe, is of the great quality I have come to expect from any of the Catalina Cafes throughout Tallahassee. I usually take my coffee black and it still is perfect. I have taken to doing most of my studying here, as it has WIFI and provides a calm, quiet atmosphere for work. The building itself is beautiful, complete with a wine rack in the wall and a sort of steam punk vibe.

Amazing, friendly & knowledgeable staff, great breakfast - just the right size, put together with care, fresh, etc. - and one of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time (Zoe’s Revenge). Relaxed vibe and clean space, brought our 100lb black lab & sat outside overlooking the park. Highly highly recommend.

Disappointed is an understatement. My friends and I ordered the French Dip sandwich with the daily special Gumbo as the side. When the food was brought to the table, I asked if my sandwich was the one of the three with no onions. The waitress said β€œ oh there are no alterations, the sandwiches were not fresh, they were pre made and just heated up” that explains the bland taste and goo like texture. The gumbo was very spicy, too spicy for all at our table, and I assure you, we are experienced diners, not being picky. I guess the worse part is the $15.00 price tag for a heated up sub par sandwich like you can get at most gas stations. If you can’t make it fresh why open for lunch?

The Power Plant is one of my favorite places in Tallahassee to get coffee. Cascades is such a beautiful place to sit and drink and the espresso/tea beverages are always on point. I especially love the loose leaf teas. Probably the best thing about coming is the Canadian board game they have called Crokinole. I could play for hours.

I waited with my family for a long time and no waiter came to take our orders. I have no problem waiting, but the problem is being totally ignored. Waiters were passing by, serving people behind us and those that came later. We finally decided to walkout as not to waste our time considering theres a lot of great restaurants with awesome service in Tallahassee.

Great food and coffee. Had the veggie press, lox & bagel and Tally breakfast sandwich. Ate out side with my family, listened to the water falls and watched the doggies and their families walk by. Took in a walk through the park after.

Great coffee, well prepared food, tranquil covered outside seating in Cascade Park or stay inside on cold days. This is out of the way if you are driving, but is well worth the side trip down Suwannee from Lafayette St. Parking is OK in the morning, but can be tight in the afternoon.
