Ok....where to start.....Ive been here before...in fact if I had reviewed it the first time I came here it would have gotten 5 stars. The first time I came here was roughly Fall 2017. Food and service was excellent then!Fast forward to this past Saturday. Had a party of 8. The place really wasnt that busy maybe 4 other people sitting at a table and 3 people at the bar. For whatever reason it took 10-15 minutes to receive a drink from the bar or even a glass of wine. Water was not regularly topped off and our waitress disappeared often.Appetizers came out. Ordered calamari, wings and risotto balls. The food looks great but all of it really lacked any flavor. The wings touted on the menu a flavor of basil and spices but they just tasted like bland wings. I didnt try the calamari but no one really had a complaint about those so I guess theyre ok. The risotto balls tasted like bland rice. If it werent for the marina sauce they give you you might as well just eat a bowl of freshly cooked plain white rice.For an entree I ordered the angel hair pomodor and a side cedar salad. The pasta was dried out and looked like it had been sitting in the air for a long while. There wasnt very much olive oil to wet the noodles and dish tasted like nothing except a bowl of pasta and garlic. Dont get me wrong I love garlic but this was over the top with garlic. The same for the Cesar salad. Im not sure if their Cesar dressing is house made but it was WAY too garlicky.The lackluster food and service was a complete 180 from the first time I visited Centrale. As a Tallahassee native and someone who lives here year round....I cant give my recommendation of this place anymore. Maybe the pizza is good (never tried it) but if anything you cant go wrong if you just want to go there for cocktails and beer. Thats about the only thing I would recommend here.

Absolutely delicious! So glad this replaced MODA. The cheese boards are well prepared and the wine selection is very good. A board and a pizza are perfect for a date night!

Dropped in on a whim; very loud (due to reflective surroundings/surfaces. Waitress took nearly 10 min to acknowledge our presence and another 15 to get cocktails. There were 8-10 other servers scurrying about, half the time not carrying anything.Food was good, but not enough to overcome the oppressive noise.

Was just in Tallahassee with some friends from college for a wedding, and we visited this spot for the first time. It wasn’t around when we attended FSU. Awesome spot! The service was a little rocky, but, hey, it’s not a dealBreaker. We went for brunch, and I had the hash. Very good, and reasonably priced.One note, the orange juice in the mimosa is pretty questionable. It was very neon, and the taste was a little funky. I tried a friend’s and decided to get a beer instead.Try it out! College town is a great area too!

I love this place! The food and drinks are awesome and they have some awesome happy hour deals. Definitely check out the brunch on the weekends too.

We were quickly seated on the nice outdoor patio. Staff was exceptionally friendly. A great atmosphere and the food was excellent. We ordered one of the large pizzas and a pitcher of a local beer which we got for half price with the pizza order. Centrale has some of the best pizza you can find in Tallahassee. This place is definitely worth a look.

My Brother came into town tonight and Centrale made my visit with him and his wife great! The food was amazing and timely. Dakota, our server was on time with every request and we were happy to have him take care of us. There was some excellent drink specials for us to try tonight and Dakota described them exactly as expected for us. Sarah, the manager even came by our table tonight to check on our meal and she was so friendly and welcoming. I always have a great time dining at Centrale but tonight they really made my experience above extraordinary and it deserved my review. I know my guests enjoyed their first Centrale experience, Great job!

Our server Bar was fantastic. So professional and very personable. The pizza we had was the best Ive tasted in years. We didnt expect there to be a crowd on a Thursday night but apparently its their Wine-O. The food and the service was worth that headache.

This bar slash restaurant usually gets crowded with college students late at night with a party atmosphere that can really escalate on football nights. We enjoyed brunch on our latest visit with bottomless mimosas to celebrate a graduation. Highly recommend. . .

We went on a slow night and sat at the bar outside. We had great service. I had a salad pizza and it was really good, I was pretty shocked by how much I enjoyed it. They also do a special if you buy a pizza pie, you get half off a bottle of house wine so we ended up splitting a bottle of wine and each enjoying our specialty pizzas. It was a great night.

Meatballs were delicious and moist. Pizza good. Atmosphere very cool. Music was way too loud for conversation for a meal setting. If it was a bar... it would be fine then.

EDIT (12/17): After my original review, Centrale offered to have me and my girlfriend back on them—and I couldn’t be happier! Not only was the food fantastic (and the service great), but it just goes to show that the management team here—and the entire “For The Table” team—really know how to treat their customers. Would rate 6-stars if I could!

This was my first visit to Centrale, but I doubt it will be my last. My coworkers and I went for my birthday lunch, and it was delicious. We just happened to be there on a Thursday, when select pizzas are half-priced. There were multiple menu items each of us wanted to try, but its hard to turn down half-priced pizza! So thats what we all got. I ordered the Margherita pizza (even though that wasnt one of the discounted options), and it was really good. However, my friend shared a piece of hers with me (White Pie, + sausage added), and that was hands down my favorite. I kept thinking about it all afternoon, and really want that pizza again. The ricotta dollops on top were so good, and the sausage itself was really delicious. Cant wait to go back when it warms up a bit, and sit on the gorgeous patio!

Brunch was good, enjoyed the mimosas... service was good as well. My friend and I had a good time. Took a star off because food took a little while to come out, but it good.

Let me start off by saying that nothing about blasting EDM music in a restaurant screams Italian to me. The floor through out the entire restaurant was extremely dirty. I waited about 35 minutes for my pasta to be cooked, I could’ve made better pasta at home. The pizza was the only thing i enjoyed along with our waiter Phillip who was excellent. Wouldnt recommend this to anyone who is looking to eat quality food.

This is a nice restaurant located on, Madison Street in College Town / Tallahassee Florida.They offer dining in, take out and even Uber Eats delivery.The place is well maintained, the food is always good, the area is up / coming all and all its a great place to grab a bite to eat.Definitely recommend stopping by 👍👍

After a few great experiences of eating at Centrale we decided to have a brunch there to celebrate our daughters first birthday with guests from out of town. We went through the Book An Event link on their site and were quickly emailed back by Lauren. She could not have been more friendly and accommodating when setting up our reservation. When the day came we were quickly sat on the patio at a great table viewing the acoustic band playing outside. The service was excellent and every single person enjoyed their meal. The food is so good it speaks for itself but their hospitality is unmatched. Highly recommend.

I bought a ticket for the NYE Bar Crawl for Madison Social, Township, and Centrale. When I arrived at Centrale with my group of friends I went to the bar to begin ordering drinks. I wanted to order drinks for all of us at one time so that we could sit down and not have to wait for each person to get their drink.When asking the bartender if he could do so, he got defensive and loud saying Im not making drinks for 6 people, I will do one at a time. He became very rude and agitated with not only me but other people asking for drinks around me. I was simply asking to make all six at one time because I thought it would be easier for them to do it that way, as I did the same thing at Madison Social and Township with no problem. I understand that they were short staffed but Madison Social and Township were as well and I did not receive that negative service there.Another bartender refused to get drinks for us because he claimed we were not on his side of the bar but then he proceeded to make drinks for this friends who were standing directly behind me before walking away. I work in customer service and understand how stressful it can be when you are short staffed but I do not use that as an excuse to be rude to people.I have a video of the bartenders that was very rude and condensing to me on NYE. I am not going to post the video here because I respect peoples privacy but if Centrale management chooses to reach out to me, I will provide them with the video.Update: The management at For The Table reached out to me and I can not stress enough how incredibly responsive they were to my situation. They listened to our side of the story, apologized for everything that happened, and showed that they truly cared. I have been going to all For The Table establishments for the past four years and I will definitely be going back. The management showed how incredible and responsive they are to their customers. Thank you to the management again.

The floors were dirty, the dishes did not look adequately washed, and the music was extremely loud and did not match the feel of an Italian restaurant. Beyond that, the food was inedible. It tasted unfortunately like overly salted cat food. My coworker and I were so mortified that we took only a few bites of our meal before realizing it would make us sick. Needless to say, we left with an unfinished meal and will not be returning.

Initially had a partially negative experience with a carry out order and the communication options allotted to customers. After reaching out to the company via email, they not only offered to accommodate me for the inconvenience that occurred, but they emailed me back stating they would change staffing to accommodate more efficient communication. I appreciate a company willing and able to take advice from the customers and actually apply it. Kudos!

Sarah was an amazing waitress. she was on point all day, when our drinks ran empty she was there with refills before we could even call her over. food was exceptional and quick to serve. It was our first time at Centrale and we plan on returning.

The wait staff and manager were all incredibly polite and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was delicious. Hosted a birthday get together for about 20 on the patio and will definitely use the space again!

We enjoyed the food (chicken Parmesan and shrimp & pesto pasta dish) and the service was good. The restaurant is superbly styled - very different than the usual ambience in most Tallahassee dining, but in a refreshing way. I suppose my only complaint is that they turned the music up halfway through our dinner and it was difficult to talk. Other than that, we loved it!

Well, we went for lunch today, and after the experience I have to say in Tallahassee centrale apparently means century, as in how long you will need for lunch if dining here. We arrived, were greeted by the host, seated and he took our order. As we sat there we came to realize Zach and the guy in the kitchen were literally the only 2 staff people in the entire restaurant.Well, we were committed now, hopefully we can get back to work in an hour. That was merely a fantasy. God bless them, Zach and the guy in the kitchen tried, but with more guests coming in and the lack of help, our food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, our drinks never once got topped off in the 85 minutes we were stuck there (we had to wait another 20 for the check, and then 10 more for printer problems too). While the food was great and the 2 guys truly tried, whoever is (in theory) management deserves something akin to a formal reprimand bordering on outright unpaid suspension for leaving the restaurant open in such a state. Staying closed, or a simple sign would have sufficed, but alas, nothing. So, I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone I can, the food is great, but unless you literally have 2-3 hours to eat a simple pizza, or unless you are the kind of person who enjoys standing in the longest checkout line Walmart or Best Buy ever had on Black Friday, this is not the place for you. Shame on management! You should give Zach and the kitchen guy a bonus since it appears you are almost literally trying to work them to death.

Waited for a server for 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us. Guess we were easy to miss sitting in the middle of the empty bar area. Pretty weak Centrale, youve got too much good competition to lose on bad service.

Came here for the basketball game from Georgia. We had the brunch menu, I️ ordered the artichoke salad with a chicken breast. The wait staff was nice and friendly however it took them 20 min to bring our party food and my chicken breast was raw in the inside!

A group of my friends and I (4 total) went to have dessert here on a Saturday night around 9 PM. The place was not packed at all, and we literally only ordered dessert and up until that point all was well. However, once we ordered our checks we literally waited Id say around 40 minutes before we could pay. I noticed our waiter was working with another large group of people and completely understood that their split checks would take a while, so I asked another server if he could just bring us our checks and he told us that our server was printing them off right then. More minutes passed and I again asked another server if he could simply bring us our checks (not that hard, there was more than one register) and this server also told us that our server was currently printing them off (spoiler: he was not). It wasnt until many minutes later where our server finally brought us our checks and we ended up leaving around 11 PM even though we got there around 9:45 PM and literally only ordered dessert. So overall, atmosphere is nice, the desserts are good (get the chocolate mousse, the banana hazelnut tiramisu doesnt even have the smell of bananas or hazelnut), but the service is subpar.

The first time I came in my shrimp and grits were cold, watery, and bland. The second time I came in they charged my card with drinks that my friend had already paid for in cash and I didnt realize what had happened until the next morning when I looked at my bank account. The third time I came in I sat at the bar for 30 minutes without being approached by a bartender and ended up having to go next door to Cooshs to get a drink. Only leaving two stars because someone did a good job decorating the place. Overall poor experience coming to this place.

Good food and a cool atmosphere to enjoy some unique drinks. The outside bar is a nice touch if you want to enjoy the nice weather. Theres also inside and outside table seating if you want some umbrella shade and lower, private seating.

I cannot give enough good praises about the lady manager here. She has a wonderful heart! Love having brunch here.

Came here a few times now. A little pricey, but really good. It usually is closed before the other college town spots, which is a shame cuz I would totally stuff myself with some pasta after last call at recess. Also, Kara, Ms. Manager is mad cute, and full of energy! After closing she canlme trotting out with a huge smile to say hi, and made sure I had fun. And I did!

Great food. Terrible management. My friend was cut off by the bar before he had one drink. The manager had a whole case of little man issues.

The best part of my meal was the slice of blood orange garnishing it. The french toast tasted like regular toast with syrup on it. My dates hollandaise on her benedict was so thin it was translucent. My drink tasted like water and Jamesons with a splash of coffee, just for color. Looking around the restaurant most people were eating pizza, so maybe they are good at that. But I would recommend no one order their brunch entrees. No one at my table was satisfied with their meal. All of this was after waiting 10 minutes before a server came to our table and then my one drink arriving at the table after my food did.

Our family traveled from Miami and Tallahassee on New Years Eve. Must say service is A1, but we were starving and looking forward to a real Italian experience. Before anything, very hospitable service and truly quality waiters. If your coming here with an appetite....DONT. Menu is very limited, I have never heard of an Italian Resturant who does not serve Fettucini Alfredo or lasagna...I mean really? Come on, truly not impressed. Food was good, tried several different dishes. They must improve menu & quantity served.

It only seemed moderately busy, and waited 15 minutes before water was even brought to us, then we ordered drinks, and waited another 20 minutes. No drinks ever came, no wait staff ever showed up to take our order for food. By far the worst service Ive ever had!!

Centrale offers a modern interpretation of the classic Italian pizza parlor!As the foray of Madison Social into Italian cuisine, Centrale puts their own spin on typical Italian dishes and serves them up in a space modeled after historic Italian parlors, with a brick façade and patterned tile floor. During my last visit, we tried out the risotto balls for an appetizer, followed by two large margherita and red face calabrese pizzas for the group to share. As part of a deal, we received a pitcher of beer free with the purchase of each large pizza. The risotto balls were absolutely delicious and unique and I only wish that more came with each order! The pizzas also were made with fresh ingredients and, in Neapolitan style, much lighter than the typical pizza you order from the Dominoes down the road for delivery. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making sure we were enjoying our meal and never in need. Overall, a great meal on the open patio, enjoying the breeze and the buzz of college town.My only concern is with the regular pricing of the menu. If we didn’t have coupons for the appetizers and pitchers of beer, the meal would have been made extremely expensive for a few friends wanting to enjoy a night out. The pitchers alone are priced at over $20 a piece, which is astronomical for Tallahassee. I understand that the college town area is being built up with higher end, fashionable shops and restaurants and driving up prices in the area, but the primary audience is still going to be college students and their limited budgets. I appreciated that there are deals if you look for them, but the prices here would have kept me away on a regular night.

Caveat: Ordered delivery. I ordered Cannoli and Rice Balls; the rice balls tasted of rancid oil and were dry. Ate one and tossed the rest. The cannolis shells were prefilled a while ago; they had no snap to then and were stale. Cannoli cream was good tho.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Centrale in February. Gray, Centrales Events Manager, was a pleasure to deal with throughout the planning process. She was friendly and accommodating, and even made several helpful suggestions about menu items and ways to keep the bill reasonable.On the night of the event, the restaurant staff was attentive and the food was very good. In particular, everyone loved the chicken parm sandwiches and pepperoni pizza. My wife and I also thought the Nutella pizza (dessert) deserves a mention. Our guests seemed to appreciate the atmosphere.All in all, we had an excellent experience and would recommend Centrale to anyone planning a dinner event in the Collegetown area.

Great spot for pizza. It can be a little pricey compared to typical tallahassee, but the vibe is cool and the drink selection is great. They have bottomless mimosas/bellinis/poinsettas on the weekends for $15 along with a brunch menu. Its usually not crazy busy at brunch either, so worth going to avoid the crowd and still have a great experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. For the past couple of years, I have been a loyal patron of Centrale, going for brunch, dinner, and pretty much any time they put on events, Im there. Speaking of events, I attended the Wine Mixer a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. I won a few coupons for a few free drinks at Centrale and couldnt wait to have an excuse to go there and redeem them. Unfortunately, a couple of days after the wine mixer, I picked up a nasty cold and have been sick ever since. Today, however, I finally felt well enough to go to Centrale and redeem my coupons before they expired tomorrow. I cant let a few free drinks go to waste, right?!? Wrong. I drove through the awful traffic stemming from the spring time festival, and trudged through the torrential rain to FINALLY get to Centrale and enjoy a nice brunch with a friend. Walking up to the door, I noticed it was more crowded than usual on a Saturday morning (nothing was posted on their facebook about any big event) so I figured it would be a bit of a wait, but after all I went through just to get there, it would be worth it. Wrong again. I approached the hostess stand to let her know how many people and she stated We are hosting an event for a sorority right now. I cant seat you until it ends at 2:00. Are you part of the sorority (cant remember name)? I stated I was not, but I was hoping to redeem my coupons before they expired tomorrow so was there any way they could extend the expiration date so I could just come back later in the week? She said no. I could come back after 2:00 or tomorrow. I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting a good 15 minutes and going to tell somebody else other than the hostess that I hoped to speak with the manager, one finally shows up. From the get go, he was rude, condescending, and looked like he would rather be anywhere but there talking to me. I told him that I didnt see anything on their facebook about it being closed for an event but I was hoping to redeem my coupons before they expired. He standoffishly stated that they were not closed for the event but it would be at least a 45 minute wait for us to get a table. I told him the hostess said we wouldnt get seated because we were not apart of the sorority. He said that was incorrect, and then rudely asked if I was upset because we would have to wait for a table. I said no, I was upset because all I wanted to do was use my coupons before they expired and asked if he could extend the expiration date another week or something so I could just come back. Again, he rudely responded and said I could wait (at least) 45 minutes for a table or come back later that night or the next day (never once apologizing). Because, you know, after being sick for two weeks, trudging through the nasty traffic and weather, and then being talked down to by two different people who work in the food SERVICE industry, I really wanted to come back. Not. There used to be a lady who managed the restaurant who was as sweet as can be and Im sure would have had no problem allowing me to use these dadgum coupons (mind you, from THEIR OWN EVENT) at a later date after they expired. But whatever happened to her, I dont know and she was replaced by a complete a**hole who should never ever have been allowed to work in a customer service industry. Thanks for ruining what was supposed to be an enjoyable afternoon after being cooped up sick in the house the past two weeks, Centrale.

The most important thing in any restaurant is the food and Centrales food is delicious. I personally recommend Chicken Diavolo pizza, the hot sauce is very tasty and spicy! The brunch menu also offers some delicious items! Service is exceptionally good as well! However, Centrale lacks some nice interior design and thats the only reason I dont give it 5 stars. Tried to look Italian but it looks like a renovated post-communist restaurant. White color with cheap orange lights, red sofa chairs just dont look good all together haha ;) I think you should really invest in a trip to Europe to see how real Italian restaurant design is made and apply it to Centrale and make it even better!

Very long wait time with a nearly empty restaurant.3 orders: One French toast under-cooked, the other was rock hard and overcooked, and the other meal had the wrong type of meat. But they made it right by taking the order back and bringing us new dishes. Mistakes happen and they didnt hesitate to fix themEdit: They brought me the chicken parm sandwich and it wasn’t too bad.
