The representative that called to schedule my appointment was a friendly, very nice woman. I told her Id like Thursday morning and she said that should be fine and that I would get a call on Thursday morning to be given a more precise time. The technician that came out and installed our new windshield was very kind and efficient. He called at 8:11 a.m. and gave us a two-hour heads up to be expecting him to arrive during a one-hour window between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., showed up at 10:40 a.m. and was done by 11:02 a.m. and had us come out to double-check his work! Its now August 9th and we had been waiting on a new windshield since June 16th (at no fault of Glass America) and were becoming impatient as the crack was getting bigger with the Florida heat. This was the first year of a different body style for our model of vehicle so they hadnt yet manufactured enough extra windshields for situations like this. I contacted Manager Jeff Blidner at the advice of my insurance company as another company had just stopped responding to me in regards to fixing my windshield. He informed me that he would be happy to have someone call and set me up for an appointment, but that due to a nationwide shortage of windshields for our specific vehicle, it could take some time before a windshield was available. We didnt mind waiting, it was just nice to be informed of what was going on throughout the process, knowing that the company was doing all they could and would contact me as soon as they got a windshield in. The other company ended up calling me back last week and telling me they had a windshield for us, but due to the fact that they had not contacted me since late June when I was told Well call you within 5-7 business days to schedule your appointment. I was more than happy to decline and give the business to Glass America since they went above and beyond to make sure I knew what was going on every step of the way!
