I pretty much got whatever you need some things are a little pricey but they do have what you need

This West Marine is probably the worst I have been to. They are poorly stocked and the store is just too small.

Good selection but bad product knowledge. Other locations are better if you need knowledge based help from staff.

Great service.. I avoid online shopping to support these guys.. Always a great experience. Marshall was very helpful this evening despite having a busy long day. Will be back for all my gear needs.. I sail and motor boat..

Looking a little run down. No COVID precautions. Still the go to for boating. COVID has been so rough on all retail. Glad they are still here.

Very poor customer service. On a phone call on one event the store employee did not go out of his way at all. And on a second event - all in December - We waited over 20 minutes in the store to be helped. When a new customer came in the door. That new custimer received service before us. Then after 25+ minutes a woman came out the back and offered to help. She was unable to help us and directed us right back to the young man that ignored us. This was the early evening of Dec. 23 I believe. I love West Marine. Just maybe not this one.

The prices are ridiculous. and to tap it of, they didnt have in store nothing that the staff that I was looking for.

Awesome visit today. Bob took the time to explain and actually help me work on my water fuel seperator that looked like it hadn’t been serviced in years. He walked me through the steps and set everything up. A+ service, will be back.

If they dont have it you dont need it good prices

Went in West Marine and they had exactly what I needed. It was an obscure SS Clevis which was available from other vendors online but in a pack of ten and I would get it next week. West Marine had it in stock and for less money since I only needed two. I also appreciated that all the employees were wearing masks. It is nice to see people acting responsibly even though it takes some extra effort.

I recently went to West marine for help with my electronics. I found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable! Best retail experience Ive had in a very long time.

I went to get a pump for a West Marine dinghy and after I got home and tried it I realized its not the right one. They said it was! Anyway mistakes happen. Prices are ok but not great by any means. Good selection and if its not available in store then it probably is online.

They would have made four stars, but we were told that they price match, which was not true. They were nearly 15% higher than a reputable supplier online and we were told since it was not shipped and sold by Amazon that they would not price match. The customer service person was upset that we even brought up price matching, when we were told about it by another employee when we were shopping. Have shopped at many West Marines, this one needs some retraining amongst some of the employees.

I love this store. DJ was very polite and helpful, recommend a GPS unit that was on sale, and I got far more value of my money at WEST marine. This store is excellent on REFUNDS and customer service. You might find it a few bucks cheaper online but you dont get the quality service that comes with a national marine store. Not to mention they have anything I need for my marine needs, and then some. West Marine has a lot of stuff for your boat. Unfortunately theyre twice as expensive, for an already expensive hobby. T.A. Mahoneys has a much larger selection, and normal pricing. I would only go to West Marine in an emergency. And forget about buying fishing apparel, shoes or glasses, unless you just have plenty of money to throw away.

Very small store. Guy at register seemed like he wasnt happy to work there and was very slow at the actual checkout😥 Not impressed, #WESTMARINE can do better.

Good inventory for boating needs; staff were helpful & fairly pleasant. Over priced though - I guess its because of lack of competition. An example, needed a kill switch key/lanyard for Yami & had to purchase a 5 diff keys that fits all other engines for $27? What am I going to do with the other 4? Oh, I was told to give to neighbors...

They might have everything but with a horrible staff attitude and bad customer service I know that there not the only store in tampa. If u act like your customers are a problem for you when they ask you for help and assistance & you have a smart a-- attitude with them good luck keeping them as customers.

Been following DJ for 10 years. This guy is smart. He just outfitted me with a new Lowrance HDs live system. I drove from Pinellas County to do business with DJ.

Poor customer service and high prices. Whenever I am FORCED to shop here employees never greet me and I have to walk over to them and request assistance. Management needs to completely revisit their customer service philosophy because its NON-EXISTENT.

Not a great selection and truly awful prices. I very much recommend shopping on Amazon for marine gear. I give it two stars because the staff is friendly.

Good place for boat items and parts. Prices could be a bit better on some items. They usually have whatever im looking for. Got a gps from them and was pretty comparable to most online prices. The staff is very friendly.

Prices are too high and it doesnt even come with great customer service. Customers should be greeted and asked if we need help finding anything.

Ok if you can’t get to Tampa Fishing Outfitters or Bill Jackson’s but not much different than Walmart except higher prices. Staff not fishermen or divers. Mainly clerks who don’t know the product lines.

Items are overpriced.. power pro $19 where wal mart sells the same thing for $12. Run down looking compared to other west marines. Better off going to local places such southeastern, gator hims, and TA Mahoneys for fishing and boating gear.

Didnt have what I needed to restring a rudder control. Yet others wrote that was the place to get it. Wasted trip.

Came in here for rv repair and they had no problems helping me out for what I was looking for.

This West Marine customer service is very poor, unfriendly, and provide false information. Employees here needs a lot of training. I am a BoatUS member for at least 5 years and will probably switch to SeaTow after my membership ends. Ill also start buying my marine equipment from Amazon or other source instead. Just an FYI, you should never ever do price match at West Marine because they get irritated and it makes me feel very unconformable. One girl told me they dont do pricematch with other web site that has the same item on sale and only price match with web site that has lower price thats not on sale (thats false statement) and eventually will tell you to go there and buy it instead of West Marine. It was my first and last time price matching at West Marine.

Always have parts for my very hard to find for boat. Knowledgeable friendly staff.

Lame! Excessively pricey - horrible selection of gear for sailors.I purchase WM sailing gloves from time to time when they are on sailethey are poor construction and last 1/2 as long as real sailing gloves but in a pinch i will buy them.1 time i was overcharged and didnt realize till i got home. I called the store to let them know. they DID offer me to come back in and get a refund for the $2 but i wasnt interestedMonths later i go back to buy another set and guess what - they try to overcharge me again. When i talk to the manager about it ... he responds There is nothing i can do about it.. the pricing comes from hq.Well if you cant stop overcharging me.. i will find a better vendor

They are so unreliable. Their website inventories are not reliably accurate. They have sent me around the bay for items only to be told that the item wasnt in stock when I got there. Last ditch supplier.
