This is a 4 year in review with a car alarm they had installed for my 2014 ford fiesta. I have a ton of audio equipment in this vehicle for pure competition. Anyways at first glance yes theyre professional thus expensive. The manager (Gabe) explained to me the process and what makes them different from the other shops. He had explained to me that they will install a great alarm and will shield the brain of the alarm so that you cant get into and place it into a very difficult location to reach; none of which they did. No metal box was installed and it was very easy to access so a thief can just rip it out to disarm it easily. I was so bummed out because it was very expensive compared to other shops around the area. It is my fault for not checking 100% of their work yes but I was so naive at the time that I trusted them. Honestly for the work they did just go somewhere else. Im sure they do great work in car audio and home audio but man they screwed me over. Yes its a little cheap fiesta but shouldnt a shop treat cars equal and the customers equal? Made sure my audio friends dont go and if you need an alarm installed check EVERYTHING they said they would do.... Or. just go to a different shop for a better price and great work.

He is so professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Ferlin takes care over me every time, always giving me the best advice for my project and never tries to sell me anything I don’t need. I had a wonderful experience when I took my Lincoln MKX in to get my new deck put in and also my tint done. I dropped my truck off Friday evening and was able to pick it up Saturday afternoon and it wasnt what I was looking for, it was beyond what I was looking for. The salesman (Ferlin) is very knowledgeable about everything thing thats audio and the other salesman (Gabe) is very knowledgeable about everything video for your home needs. Both together is a GREAT combo. Just beware of the owner (Andrew) that thinks hes the best comedian ever🤣🤣🤣. I also just took my sons 06 camary to get the radio and all speakers replaced they were installed in under 2 hours! Their installers and tint guy are second to no one in this city or any other city that i have been to. This place with these guys have now become my permanent home for everything that I have as far as cars, home, and anything else they can upgrade for me!!! I apologize but these are the only pics that I have of baby so far.

These guys know their stuff! My car audio project came out better than expected. The first thing that impressed me, was the honesty by not trying to up sell me on product not needed. I really appreciated that. These gentlemen know audio, and I would never purchase from anyone who wasnt on top of their knowledge of what theyre selling, no issues here, because these guys are pros.

If you have a boat stay away from this place they installed my depthfinder in the wrong spot only thing they keep telling me is they followed the instructions. So i have to pay someone else to fix their mistake. Update 8/13/20 So after the owner reached out to me he followed the same script and telling me it wont work no matter where its at. If that was the case why install them and take my money. Decided since they dont back up their work. I took to a dealer and it works perfect now. This place is a joke

I just got of the phone with a very rude individual (General Manager - Gabe). I am a novice when it comes to window tint. I was referred over to their store for their quality work from a friend. I called to ask a few questions with regard to tint options. I also had a question about tint for the front windshield clear ( I have a medical prescription to allow for this).Gabe proceed with an impatient unprofessional tone and acted as if he couldn’t be bothered. I asked him if he could just chill a little and I apologized if I was catching him at a bad time as I felt as if he was being rude.His response “ I’m not being rude to you dude, I just have five people waiting on me and your asking questions I’m trying to answer”.They may do great work. However, if ya want to be treated poorly by Gabe, be my guest. I was trying to support a local business during a rough time and get a good quality tint.I’ll be going elsewhere and I hope Gabe has a better day.

I replaced the double-DIN OEM radio in my 12-year-old Subaru with the latest bluetooth- and Android Auto-capable Kenwood receiver. I also added a back-up camera. Good price. Fast service. No hassle. Took off one star because of lack of adherence to county mask mandate. A sign on the door says that masks are required for entry and that social distancing protocols must be adhered to. Not one of the sales people was wearing a mask, nor were the customers that were waiting or walking in. I felt like an idiot wearing mine.

Have been a repeat customer for years, and glad they are back open! Sitting at home I have been wanting new toys...Just went back and saw Gabe, and as usual he was spot on with what I was looking for, and helped direct me in the right direction, both inside and outdoors. Great advice and he even helped me save money in one area to be better spent in another (he could have up sold me on both and I would have bought it but he was honest that I wouldnt notice the difference and it wasnt worth the extra money)New TV (85 of course), new center and fronts to go along with upgraded 4 atmos ceiling speakers and then we tackled the outdoor stereo upgrade... Knowledgable and honest as to what the best options are. Currently I have a sound system in my boat done by this company, and it is by far the best sound system I’ve had! At the beginning, I had a hard decision choosing the company that would do what I was looking for... in ceiling speakers all over the house and a theater room with huge screen and great sound. I was skeptical because I had bad experiences in the past. But it was worth every penny I spent. Gabe and his team are excellent, no issues at all, service related.

I dont know how ive driven by this place so many times and had no idea what a gem of a store we have in Tampa. I went in not knowing what to expect and left with an amazing set of home speakers and was given the best demo and education by Gabe and his team that i have ever experienced. I had no idea what i was missing with the lower quality speakers ive been listening to for the last 10 years! Came in here over the weekend and a gentlemen named Gabe helped me to decide on some new audio equipment for my new 2020 Lamborghini Aventador S. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me while I decided what to purchase. My system came out better then expected and for a lot less then I was expecting to spend. I highly recommend Maximum Audio for any of your high end audio needs. Make sure to ask for Gabe and tell him Mike with the Lambo sent you!

I was without a car for a whole day the guy who did the job said it took hour and a half so I guess the guy running the office just let my car sit all day for no reason but the tint was perfect the 3m 5% that helped sun rays stay out of the car it was kinda expensive around $326 but it could be in the 90s outside and running the air on low it would be freezing in the car. I feel the tint should be cheaper because tint thats just color and doesnt keep heat out is a couple hundred dollars cheaper but its worth it

The service and expertise at Maximum Audio was fantastic. I dont give praise easily, but I can honestly say that Tim and the team there exceeded my expectations (and believe me, that is very difficult to do). From the minute I walked in to the store, Tim was keenly interested to understand what I was trying to do with my home audio system and offered several options with absolutely zero sales pressure. I am willing to pay higher prices if it means better service so I was expecting to pay more, but surprisingly the price Tim gave me was very competitive with Best Buy Magnolia Home Theater and the personalized service from Tim sealed the deal for me. I expected that my interaction with them was complete after installation was finished at my home, but I was surprised to get a follow-up call from Tim several days later thanking me for my business and offering his assistance, asking how I liked the system and offering to help if I had any questions. In fact I was having a challenge with some zone speaker functionality so Tim quickly offered a few recommendations to resolve the issue. I made the adjustments and everything worked great. THEN, this morning I received another call from Tim where he was just checking in to see if his recommendations solved my issue...TRULY AMAZING customer service. Well done! Strongly recommend them.

I will have to say Im very displeased with the customer service here. What a rude, condescending sales associate they had today. First time customer, was only there 5 mins and ill never go back. I knew what I was looking for, Jl 5 series factory replacement and install on amp. Told me they dont carry those or mess with them. However I did notice as he smwas saying this his computer screen was open and was on Jl audios web page. I plan to spend 2k+ this wk on an upgrade, but I can promise you it wont be here. It seems not wanting to add a subwoofer isnt optional here. I was told upgrading the factory speakers and not adding a subwoofer would result in only 2/3 of the sound spectrum playing through the new speakers, die to cross overs and such. Apparently you cant even order the correct speakers to counter this problem. Which I know to be wrong, just order the non crossover version of the same speaker for the back speakers. Problem solved. Either this guy didnt know what he was talking about or he was trying to run me off. Either way I wont be back.

I would never recommend these guys to anybody. I must have paid closer attention to the negative reviews these guys have. Unfortunately Im one of those who has had a bitter experience with them. Be ready to be literally robbed if youre hiring these guys.You will regret hiring these guys. They call themselves professionals but they just dont know anything. They quote you $$ on the phone and charge you $$$, I feel cheated. They are the most arrogant and unprofessional people Ive ever met. Beware of these guys. Obviously my name will not be in the system because Im one of the members of the household yall recently worked with, I took a step to come out write this review. We had no luck contacting the office.

Walk-in to get a coat for a car radio and speakers ask them if they had a home audio system package they told me they dont have nothing like that to go to Best buy if you want a package. Business was very unprofessionalI was going to spend a couple thousand dollars and putting speakers and radio in my car but they got me to go to BestBuy instead and only spend like $700 thank you very much for telling me about Best buy I think this audio place is the best one to refer people to go to Best buy I will be spreading the word about this companys customer service to everyone

What a great experience! The owner can talkfor hours about systems, installments, LED capabilities, and educates you on the quality of audio. Their approach was very detailed and customized compared to the other competitors. I consulted HIVE and was under impression they had a one size fits all approach.

These guys are great. Had recently put a new stereo in an older car. Decided to buy a new car. Wanted to swap into the new car. One day had the new stereo removed and the factory radio put back. Another day, had the new stereo put in the new. Both times there no hassles, super easy. And the new installation looks fantastic.

Andy took my call and was very unprofessional and arrogant. Didn’t have the product I was looking for so he insulted me on it and wanted to sell me something different. Would not recommend them to anyone!

I’ve been going to this place since they open their doors in ‘94. alarms and window tint for every car that I’ve owned since that time. Quality products and workmanship makes this a great place for all your stereo and tint needs.The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and will not steer you in the wrong direction just to make a sale.I plan on visiting them Again soon to have my windows re-tinted.

They sold me some speakers that they had on clearance. Happy with them, and the installation but I found the same speakers MUCH cheaper basically everywhere I looked. The sales reps convinced me that prices would be the same online. Definitely not. I paid double for the speakers. I definitely got gypped. (Totally my fault) but just a heads up, you will more than likely find the speakers you want for a better price so do some research. However if you are not a broke college student like I am, this is your place.

I have been visiting stereo stores in the Tampa Bay area that carry McIntosh stereo equipment for over 30 years and this store has the best stocked McIntosh I have experienced. The sales people are overqualified and willing to hook up different equipment on demand to help you make the best decision possible. There prices are better than any high end stereo shop I have been to.

We found Jarrod on Yelp and are so happy we did. He did an exemplary job with all the connections then spent time telling us how to navigate it. His customer service is excellent, hes reliable and reasonably priced - we would definitely use this company again. I highly recommend this company.

Incompetence, lying, no customer service, ignored calls to sales guy to schedule yet another service appointment, arguments about home automation that never worked completely.After chasing problems with zero fix I gave up. Customer service is a lost art. I had been to 3 locations looking for a windshield mounted radar detector, finding only rude staff and/or no inventory; We can order that is not an appropriate response. I have the internet as well. I went in today, they told me the didnt have any 12 inch subs.... You would think a place called Maximum blah blah would have 12 inch subs.... What really sux, I live w-in walking distance and have purchased from here b4.... the bigger guy at the desk to the right when you walk in the door is arrogant and very unhelpful. You should call yourselves Maximum Arrogance.THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:::I didnt try to talk to the guy on the phone, your employee did AND If your guy was so busy, he wouldve told me to wait instead of just disregarding me and straight telling me you didnt have any! Not sure who Mike B. is that everyone is raving about, but unfortunately, he wasn’t the person I spoke with to try to resolve an issue. Dreadful, awful, terrible, appalling, and any other adjective you can possibly think of that is the definition of a hideous attitude from not an employee, but the actual business owner, Andy Lehrer. Andy has the attitude of a nasty toddler. Not sure what planet he lives on where he thinks it’s cool and perfectly acceptable to speak down to customers and be as rude as possible. He should realize this is not how you build relationships of any kind. The core of any business, small or large, is based mainly on the quality of customer service. He should also realize as a “business owner”, the best or worst form of advertising is word of mouth and when a customer is faced with a bad experience, they either go vocal or viral…I intend to go both.

I went to this business looking for a decent pair of speakers for my motorcycle. I was asked questions about the bike and the stereo i have on the bike. He sold me a pair of speakers for $150. High priced but wanted good speakers. I had them installed at the motorcycle shop and turned the radio and they sounded worse than orignal. I went back to let them listen to them he said they were wrong for my sytem. I would need to buy more equipment. I was contacted by the store and was told to return the speakers and they would give me a full refund. They did back up their reputation

Ive shopped here before for a aftermarket car stereo housing and the price was a little high but yesterday was the real reason Ill never go back! They wanted 250 dollars to connect my alarm system on a motorcycle! Thanks but no thanks Im never paying someone 250 dollars to hook up anything! Especially 8 wires I sat down and did a little studying and installed it myself for free! Thanks for letting me know how high you price your minimal services! U just lost me as a future customer! ;)

I Have been going to Maximum car audio for years. Today i visited to see what could be done with my tint since i lost the warranty. Mike greeted me by name and took care of my problem at no charge. I will continue going with my future cars to come and recommend all my friends to do the same.

Called to see if they had a part in stock. Have exact part number and all but I was told they cant help me unless I drive there all while trying to upsell amp and other products I dont need.

Im not one to write reviews because I know we have good days and bad days but the guy I just spoke with on the phone was the worst. First off, a friend of mines had told me this place did good. I live in Wesley Chapel, so its like 30-35 minutes from me. So I called to see how much I have to spend to put in the deck I have, which is a pioneer appradio2. I have everything except for the harness, double din kit for 2010 Dodge Challenger, and a antenna adapter. The guy starts to tell me that if they gave every customer a quote on the phone, theyd never get any work done, and how their customers arent concerned with saving pennies on the dollar and Im like, I just called to see how much Id be spending so I can plan and manage my money. He then starts to repeat himself and adding more things in between like our work speaks for itself, we have real professionals, not some young kids and Im like, man I just wanted to know how much Im going to spend. Im sorry but Im not rich but Im not poor either. I have rich friends and I have poor friends and the ones that dont care about watching every penny and controlling every dollar end up in bad financial situations. Bottom line is, I was going to spend my money with these guys on the fact of my friend saying they did really good work. Now, Ill never know because Ill never take my business to someone who acts like this. I own two businesses and would never treat not one customer like that. Customers arent always right but theyre the reason you have a job and can feed your family at the end of the day. By the way, MCOR gave me a quote and I have an appointment for this weekend.

Liars and thieves. This guy quoted me 360 before taxes over the phone. I went down there and we discussed adding sound deadening around the speakers and just behind them in the door. He said he could do it for 20 dollar extra per door. They charged me for it but it was not done! This is what they called their premium door install. I call it 80 dollars stolen. He complained about how my bass amp was installed saying it was just sliding around. Then he charged me $50 dollars on top of the install to mount the amp to a board? And another $35 for the wire. If im paying $150 for the amp install, why would you charge me separately for the board you mount it to and the wiring. What exactly is included with the install? He charged me $20 bucks just to reseat the wires in my old amp talking about it was a fire hazard. The scam didnt stop there. On my receipt it says my rear system battery was swelling and would need to be replaced. After charging me $75 to put it in a $12 box. The problem is my battery was not swelling and it worked fine before the installation. The guy said it sounds great. He lied!! Both my amps were turned all the way down, and nothing was tuned. I spent 20 minutes setting it up and went on a 45 minute drive and nearly fried my brand new amp. My rear battery died and the amp was running on 9 volts before cutout. I immediately called them and he said he could not see me for two days and the issue was with my rear battery. Im not going to wait two more days after it took you two days for a job you said would only take a few hours. So i go out and purchase a new battery. The new battery does the same thing. Works great for about an hour. Of course this is a sunday and they are closed. I go online and start looking for cables to do the big 3 upgrade and decide to check under my hood and see if ill need a new fuse block for the bigger cable. It turns out these morons never put a fuse in the block. I dont believe they forgot. I truely believe they were trying to over charge me for abattery replacement. At this point I want it all ripped out, and my money back. I did not get what I paid for, and i got seriously overcharged. A shotty install of front and backs speakers and a four channel amp started at $360 and ended up a few dollars short of $900. Not including the battery and fuse I shouldnt have had to purchase. Stear clear of these scam artist. Please do yourself a favor, and spend your money elsewhere.

This will be a fairly long review and I will try and keep it organized... In 2010 I took my brand new Ford F-350 Harley Davidson edition truck to them to have a stereo, viper smart start, alarm, and have roof marker lights installed. The expierence all started with their snake oil sales associate Troy (Im not sure if he still works there or not. If he does avoid him like the plague.) who suggested certain speakers, an amp, and so on. My requests were to maintain a factory like form and function, but with booming sound and high tech capability. What I ended up with has been nothing but headaches for the last 6 years and is still something I deal with to this day.My biggest complaint with Troy is that he isnt realistic. He promises you the world, but in reality the installers only have so much capability. Specifically related to the roof lights I had them install. Again, one of my primary requests was factory like form and function. Anyway, I asked Troy multiple times if some sort of template would be used to position the lights correctly, and he assured me they had a template from Ford that they used. Well, guess what. They did not and I ended up with 5 evenly spaced lights on the roof of my truck serving no function other then looking cool.Lets move on to the stereo and the remote start and alarm. All in all I have no problem with the products they sold. The speakers, sub and amp are all very nice as well as the viper smart start and alarm system. Its the installation I have a problem with. Im not sure why they did so poorly because they are a fairly reputable shop. After they had the truck for a few days Rob called and said the truck was ready to go! It sounded great and that I would love it! So I drive over to Tampa (one hour away) to pick it up. I get the keys and head out to check everything out. The first thing I do is press the remote start button. No dice. So I go right back inside and tell Troy it doesnt work. So we go outside and I show him, so put that on the punch list. I go sit in the truck, and start it up. Upon start up the sub makes an incredibly loud thump loud enough to make your ears bleed it seemed. Add that to the punch list. The stereo also did not continue to play after turning the truck off and before opening the door. Add that to the punch list. At this point Troy got Rob and we went through the steps and the list of thing that didnt work. They decided it would be best for me to leave the truck there and let them try and fix everything.To keep this incredibly long review short, I drove back and forth between my house and Tampa about five times. Each time I would show up and something would be fixed but not the other, and vise versa. At one point they wanted to use my spare key to get the remote start to work properly. I said, yea sure if you want to buy me another $450 key from Ford. All in all they eventually got everything to work (kinda). They offered no discounts for their failed attempts and my multiple trips to try and pick the truck up.The ONLY reason I gave two stars is because they didnt ever really quit they tried over and over to get it right even though they never really did.Since then I have had the truck to a different audio shop and they were able to get some additional features to work like the music playing after the key is turned off and before the door opens up, which was something I was told by Maximum Audio was not possible. The other shop found the factory wiring harness to be a mess. There were wires spliced that didnt need to be spliced, exposed wiring, no heat shrink and the list goes on. In another instance I had some warranty work done by Ford for a blend door actuator which required the dash to be taken apart. Ford found the Viper smart start module just dangling in the dash with wires EVERYWHERE. Not cool.All in all I would not recommend them. To this day the back speakers dont work, and I have off and on problems with the remote start. Nothing but headaches. My next vehicle will remain STOCK.

Tried to get a radio installed in my car. Was told on the phone they had the parts. Drove 30 minutes to get there. They said it would take two hours to install. An hour and fifteen minutes into the job, they told me the parts they thought they had were not the parts they thought they had. Drove 30 minutes home. Day off wasted. They seemed friendly enough, but man, check your inventory!

I came to Maximum Audio Video looking for the very best sound quality in my Hyundai Genesis. I have visited here before and was finally ready to get some serious work done. They not only sell some of the best products available, their customer service is excellent. I talked to Mike and he was prompt and informative about the products and services they offer.They gave me incredible deal on two JL W7s installed in a custom box, powered by a JL HD 750.I was impressed with how quickly they got the install done. The craftsmanship of the custom box they built me is top notch. They made sure that the sound in the cabin is excellent and nothing rattled.MAV told me that all of my components are under full warranty, so if something breaks I can just come back and theyll take care of me. Ive been to several Car Audio shops, from mom and pop stores to corporate businesses like Best Buy. None of them come close to the service and quality of Maximum Audio Video.

The worst place ever so rude and rascist especially to my kids that were looking at the lambo parked out front nasty attitude...I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone....how could they provide quality service with such attitude, there product is not even top of the line.... bunch of garbage.....

The general manger one of the worst person I have talked too he mad a mistake and he is charging the customer for this mistake. I hope you stay away from dealing with people trying to ripe you off. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 the worst.

So I did my home work, then went in to spend money on what I wanted then I was told thats not what I wanted to to with my car and from there the sales guy just kept showing me what he wanted to sell me and when I found what I came in for I was told I didnt what those... Must have been cheaper? the whole time I felt like I was being talked down to. so I went down the street an got exaclty what I wanted.
