Practically no stock available, and this is the only place I’ve been to in the Tampa Bay Area in months that still requires you to wear a mask. I used to visit regularly and have made many purchases here, but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Everyone here was supper friendly and knowledgeable! Plus the kids playing looked like they were having fun. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to buy or play awesome games.

We played a couple games today in store for the first time in what feels like forever. Theyre really on top of keeping things sanitized. Every table had its own hand sanitizer and wipes were close by and every time someone left a table it was quickly cleaned.

Not at ALL what i expected. 90% of this place is completely empty. its not a card shop. its a place to meet and play yugioh or whichever card game you choose. they have a few cards in the corner you can buy but they arent anything special or a good price or anything.

Just don’t. $14 for $10 Yugioh decks? Why would anyone buy here?

WORSE THAN SCALPERS. This is company is suppose to be selling cards at retail value, however they have decided when there is a hot market instead of putting limits on the amount of product one person can buy they will just charge triple retail value and price out the everyday person. Absolutely horrible, won’t be going back.

Good staff and friendly manager. Trade in value is fair. Coolstuff as a company has poor inventory and hard to use credit on items you want, but the Tampa location and staff themselves deserve 5 stars!

Person hung up the phone before I could finish asking them questions but it was the closest shop my fiance and I know that sells vanguard. We go in and one of the guys just STARES at us like he was annoyed we even bothered to go there. Not a nice first visit, never going back.

Super friendly staff. Horrible game selection. Have spent thousands online at coolstuff.com, but this particular store in tampa had just one shelf of board games. Couldve found as much at target. Im sufe its a great place to play, just dont bother if youre hoping to find a particlar board game.

Im just getting into Magic the Gathering. And the employees there were extremely helpful and thorough in getting me the right stuff, giving me solid advice on building a deck and getting into MTG. Matt was especially helpful in helping me choose what start pack and booster packs would suit me. Totally recommend this place for all TCG players and collectors, and definitely for those looking to get into MTG, Pokemon, YuGiOh, etc. 11/10

Yes, yes, yes! So happy that a Cool Stuff has come to Tampa. I just wish it was closer to me up in Pasco County so I could participate in the games and events. Very clean store with plenty of space. I’ve played in game stores where they crowd everyone in..not comfortable. There was a good selection of board games with a few even being on sale (and cheaper than Amazon).

Attempted to sell cards. Made buylist, put in order and checked twice. Cards was mint or better. Seems it truly doesnt matter if the card is mint, as I was handed back many mint cards with reasoning not apparent to the card. I.e bent edge, scratch, dent etc.Sadly I enjoyed this place but can no longer do business here. Really is a hit or miss based on who you know.

Dont waste your time. Staff too full of themselves to have a decent conversation. Not very welcoming. If you owned a small business like this youd think theyd try harder to build some conversation especially with new faces.

They sold me a $100 miniature booster pack for Ebberon: Rising from the Last War for $60. And one of the boxes even had the Lord of Blades in it.Even if you take away the super good rng, still an amazing deals.Friendly staff, too!

Great place to go especially given the circumstances of this now what seems desolate and uncertain world. The only place I went before and still the only place I go after. Great selection, nice and knowledgeable staff, not something you come across to often, just a perfect getaway. Dont waste anymore time, stop reading this and go!

I love Cool Stuff, they have pretty good sales as of recently and they honor their online pricing which is nice. One gripe I have is that some of my orders that I place on the same day have arrived and others still haven’t (even after 2 weeks).

I was supposed to be given one dash pack per 12 booster packs of Digimon tcg. Only got one dash pack for purchasing 48 booster pack. BUT they did give me two extra booster packs that came from winning the Bandai Contest so that was neat. Weird that they won those since theyre a store but whatever. Thinking the store sold the extra dash packs, its a bummer they didnt follow Bandais guidelines for this but at the end of the day I have to hate the game and not the player.

First time here. Wear my mask and looking through the store and I brought a bottle of water in (its 97°out). One other customer and two employees and the one employee says across the room to me. Sir can you put your mask on as I still have the mask hanging on one ear as I take a drink of water. I felt this was extremely rude considering the circumstances.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to recognize a young man at Coolstuff by the name of Christian. I was in the other day to pick up an order when I noticed that they had on the shelf another game that I had on a pending order. Rather than have to come back into the store, I tried to cancel my online order and make an in-store purchase through their website. The system would not let me do this. I asked Christian for help. Unfortunately, there didnt seem to be a way to do this through the system. The only way, he said, would be to call customer service. As it was the weekend, customer service was closed. I waived it off, and stated that I could always just come in as originally planned and pick up the order. Christian refused to be satisfied with anything less than 100% customer satisfaction, and wound up finding a way to get it done. I was thoroughly impressed with his dedication, courteousness, and knowledge. Thats the stuff that leaders are made of, and I hope that store management is taking notice. Way to go! :)

Employees don’t have any clue when I ask any questions don’t even try to give me an answer and are confused makes no sense also their but list is pretty messed up giving like 30% cash and 60 percent store credit on cards also on top of that have no cards in the store at all unless it is standard who even plays that format anymore waste of time going there

So many great personalities visit this store.Their inventory is breath-taking. You will not leave empty handed!The build of tables for people to play is magnificent and well thought out. I love their seating.The snacks and drinks are excellent, and the restrooms are spectacular.

Never shopping here again, its not so much the store and staffs fault as their crooked customer service department.

Horrible customer service. Three separate pre-orders given late- after the product was on the shelf for purchase. Contacted corporate, and they don’t even know the store’s OTS status or the proper release dates for products. Excuse after excuse- not one of which makes any sense- for this delay with a complete failure to accept any responsibility. Frustrated beyond belief and will never buy from this company or storefront again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! From the moment I walked in up until I was leaving my experience was nothing short of amazing! I highly recommend if you are looking for a good place to play games with friends or even make new friends to come check these guys out! And if you arent sure on how to play certain games they have no problem sitting down with you and showing you how to play it properly! I try to stop at a couple game shops every time I visit a town. When I see there’s a cool stuff I always stop by as their shop is always a nice visit. Great selection of games, plenty of people there and a sample section to try out some games if you’re interested.

Great atmosphere to just play some games. They’re super friendly and also host a lot of events. An amazing place to play magic or Yu go oh. I even saw some Dungeons and Dragons there. Overall great place to have fun

Peaceful/friendly atmosphere, everything is clean and smells clean, nice and cold, the staff is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, and they let you trial board games in the store before you buy them. A true reason for why game stores should always exist. Love this place.

I used to run a game store in Dublin, Ohio and I missed those days when of gaming when I moved to the Tampa area. Now I have an awesome place to come and play games.The store is always clean with nice cool air to get out of that hot Florida heat. The folks that work there are always nice and there to assist.Great crowds for Magic: The Gathering.

Pretty great store overall. Not as big as the first game store I was introduced to in Austin, TX (Dragon’s Lair) so the selection is nowhere close to what I was used to, but it’s very clean and set up pretty well. Employees are nice. They will run you out at closing time though, even if you’re really close to the end of your gameplay. Not used to that from my prior experience, so I’ll be checking out a store in St. Pete and seeing if it works out better on that front. Overall a good store though!

I visited this place for the first time off a recommendation. I was immediately surprised and pleased with the wide variety of board games and trading cards. Everything was also very clean and organized. There are a few long tables that you can practice, learn, and play on if you like. They also hold tournaments and offer snacks and drinks for low prices.Nice and clean environment, friendly staff, and tournaments make this an all around awesome place. I will be coming back and I recommend this to anyone in the area. This is a hidden gem.

This store is pretty great for Tampa. As far as coolstuff locations go, these guys are a bit TO by the book sometimes which ends up effecting some unique situations poorly by not taking care of the client when online orders get messed up. The staff are into and educated on multiple games and don’t completely focus on any one. For magic players, weekly legacy, modern, commander and standard are weekly play here.

Was visiting from out of state, and went on a sunday to check a physical location after ordering from them online for years. Definitely recommend. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially with the large crowd of people in the store. Good selection of games, had quite a few open spaces from sold games that werent refreshed, not a negative, just curious what else they could have had available.Would have loved to stay and play a couple of games and get some drinks, but there must have been a magic tournament going on. Almost all the tables were filled with people playing magic cards. There were a couple open spaces but they were at the same tables as other playing, and mini signs at the table were advertising the single cards buying back program. It was unclear if they were for open gaming or for magic, but from the sheer vast amount of people playing magic didnt make it so. Still a great store to visit, also well cleaned looking. Would have been fantastic if they had clearer signs/open gaming tables available.

Cool MTG shop, and they have all types of gaming communities that go here for Final Fantasy as well. Ashley was nice, as well as the other employees. Got offered a free slice of pizza and drink for MTG Friday, which was a nice gesture. Prices are relatively competitive. Box price was decent at 90+tax. First time back to FNM, and I had a decent time; and, this shop is local to Brandon and big and spacious. It has a relatively decent MTG player base, but definitely has room to grow bigger. Glad I checked out this store. Store is very organized and clean as well.

Solid new game store in the Brandon area; Plenty of space; tables so far are well kept with large play mat area. Demo shelf is satisfyingly stocked and staff will take requests for demo games to be added. Havent tried it when tournaments ore events are going on but noticed soundproofing measures were in place along the ceiling to help control the noise traffic. Will be visiting often!

I have amended this review from 1 star to 5. While a player there did ruin our experience that night the staff did everything in their power to follow up and assure us that a repeat of such behavior would not be tolerated. My wife and I have also reflected on the event and recognized that letting 1 player ruin a store for us that is full of tons of other kind players is not very rational. We have also realized that pegging a store with 1 star for a players behavior without giving them an opportunity to rectify the situation is also not rational. They provide the space and can only do so much to ensure that events like this do not occur.Finally I want to add that when we did next return to the store a large amount of the players came to us directly and told us how glad they were that we came back and that was a very nice feeling.If I have learned anything from this experience it would be that it is normal to be upset when faced with adversity and there is no reason to stand for it but it is important to reflect on the event and your reaction to it and be willing to amend your stance otherwise you wont know what you could missing out on.Original 1 star review.Went here with my Muslim wife and was confronted with open prejudice while trying to enjoy a game of Werewolf. We wont be back.

Very nice clean store with a large selection and plenty of nice employees willing to help. Cards can be over priced at times but they kind of make up for it by giving you extra value on your trade ins. Since its a big corporate store you lose that personalized one on one feel that you get when you go to a smaller privately owned gaming store.

Not much cool stuff or games there. Went during covid sooo maybe had an affect. Did buy somw games but no wall of games just a small corner. Disappointed. Was not worth the 45 min drive.😒

Decent selection for a diverse hobby game store. Prices are competitive to Amazon. The clincher, though, is they have an inclusive staff. That’s pretty damn hard to do even in today’s brave new world.

Always a fun time. I wish I could get to CSG more often.Every visit is a pleasure. Store is well-lit and clean, walkways are ample, bathrooms are beautiful (seriously, should visit just for that!). Selection is good, staff is friendly, and events are rocking.

Just what youd want in a local game store. Good selection, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Havent had a chance to go to any of their events but they have stuff going on everyday, so youll find something to fit your taste. Was surprised to find their prices right in line with Amazons.

Nice selection of board games. Daily tournaments. Lots of activity on Saturday afternoon that we visited. Very friendly staff. Gave me an extra 10% off on a Ding and Dent game. Looking forward to trying a Tuesday night where they have open board gaming.

My first purchase from CoolStuffInc was in 2010 -- Ive been a long time customer. Theyve now lost me.This was literally the worst retail experience Ive ever had. I had placed an order for a game for store pick-up back in May; it had a vague Q2 release date at the time. I received an email today that the game had arrived at the store. When I get there, Im informed they have the game, but they cant give it to me until tomorrow. It now has a hard release date. Id just driven 30 minutes through toll roads to pick it up because of the e-mail they sent -- and, I was informed it was my fault that I didnt know what I was never told.The assistant manager was confrontational and lacked all empathy the entire time she interacted with me. She refused to accept any responsibility, offered no solutions, and was just rude about it. She literally flipped the computer around to show me the release date -- even though it wasnt there when I placed the order. She said the refund I requested had to be approved -- but, she gave me a receipt showing that I received a cash refund. She refused to write the simple words refund pending on the receipt until I got upset. Clearly these are people that are there to pick up a paycheck with no concern for their company or customers.

Great location and a HUGE selection of board games!! I primarily go here for MTG pre-releases and it seems weekly Im up there getting a booster pack or five, cases, sleeves, you name it. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about rules to help you as a player. Wont go anywhere else for MTG!

Great group of employees Robs got. Clean, spacious, and lots of games to play from their game library. They hold Magic, Pokemon, Yugioh, and other tournaments weekly on specific days. There are also a bunch of nice places to eat in and around the plaza including Bbq, pizza, Lebonese, Japanese, and Wings. This is my LGS (Local gaming store) of choice.

It us mainly a card game shop. So for those who play TCG. This is a place for you. Every Tuesday is free board game day and the community it has is very to itself but also nice. Worth checking if you are bored

Its a nice game shop. Probably the biggest Ive been to in Tampa. It was also very clean and smelled nice as far as FNMs go. Their prices on board games and expansions were very fair for a brick and mortar shop.There are two main things that keep me from being a regular. First, the location. It says theyre in Tampa, but this is Brandon for all intents and purposes and thats a bit of a drive. Second, while competitive, their FNM lacked the seriousness of some other shops Ive been to. While this isnt necessarily a bad thing (in fact its probably a selling point for many players), in a spike at heart and want the toughest competition I can get.Ill definitely give them another shot though, the experience was very enjoyable.

This is a great place to by and play games. I highly recommend it.Why did I only rate it at 3 stars? Well Ive had a difficult time trying to get the store to actively support games other than the big names. While I understand that they have to run the big names, I cant get more interest in other games if they dont work with me. Ive offered to host Arkham Horror LCG and the person who is in charge of the schedule just doesnt care. They wont actively communicate with you, forcing you to go way out of your way to try to work with them. Then trying to get them to order event promotion material is just a monumental task in futility which usually ends in a oh we never got any kits.

Cool Stuff Games has terrific hours and a helpful staff. We went on a sunday and the place was hopping! The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars for a very small board games selection overall. We were looking for two specifice games and they didn’t have either.However, they did recommend a very interesting game that we did enjoy!

Really enjoy going here to look for games, whether it is a card game, RPG or board game. Lots of tables to play games too. They have computers to look up items as well. Only downside is that I wish they had more space for board games and rpg books, but not a huge drawback.

Cool Stuff Games has the latest board games available. They also have areas for both board games and card games, like Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh. They have snacks and drinks available for purchase as well. This looks like a fine establishment to spend an afternoon.

Customer Service is outstanding here and we always have a great gaming experience when playing Magic.

On Tuesday nights there is a Meetup group that comes in and plays board games all night. They are very accepting of everyone and are willing to teach to anyone wanting to learn.

Pulled a lot of cards for my zombie commander deck for the war of the spark prerelease. Hoping to beat my new friends I made here. Only won once but it wasnt really me winning it was them killing eachother and me cleaning up. The potato salad is ok.
