The Strange Realms is an awesome gaming store. Events, including tournaments and campaigns, are sponsored on a regular basis and are always very well run. Everyone is super friendly and willing to help newcomers learn the games. The store stocks a huge variety gaming materials and hobby supplies. If you dont see what you want, they are happy to special order items and they even give you a discount! All in all, the store is very welcoming - you should definitely stop by and check it out - you wont be disappointed.

This place is awesome i love coming here its a great atmosphere with cool people tons of stuff to geek out over, youve got MTG, D&D, and more stuff. The staff is friendly and willing to work with you. And over all it just looks so cool in here!

Friendliest place hands down. Went to check the place out a month ago and cannot stop coming. Very open environment, helpful staff, and amazing amenities such as a TV table, Playstation for music, and a broadcasting room! Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Great play space and great people. The staff is welcoming and always up for a conversation. They care about what you play and what you are into. The dice selection is the BEST in Tampa. Nobody even comes close to what they carry. Unique and fun stuff.

Wonderful shop with friendly staff. They have a wide selection of table top minis that can be useful for a D&D game, or any RPG game. Their Tabletop game area is phenomenal with tons of terrain and table space. Highly recommend coming and giving it a look if your in the hobby space. Only drawback is parking which is no fault of the stores but the plaza that it is in.

I came here for a figurine painting session and I can’t wait to return! They supplied the figurines, paint, and even the glue to hold the pieces together, if need be. All for an affordable price. This hidden gem is a great place for meeting and playing with friends!

An absolute must! If youre looking for a family community of nerds, this is the best place. The owner and regular players there are super nice. Totally willing to accept and teach new people. Their items are awesome too! Definitely worth it!

This is a fun place to play table top games like Dungeons & Dragons, they have tons of terrains for you to use in your games. They have a store where you can buy all the books and plenty of snacks and another room with all the tables to play on. Its decorated with an immersive fantasy atmosphere.

I played here once and it was great! everyone was friendly and the owner seemed pretty chill.However, I bought a Games Workshop box from them that was missing a few prepackaged bases. This is not the stores fault, so I contacted GW costumer service who are happy to send me the bases and I just needed a proof of purchase from my local gaming store and was curious if the store could print or pull a receipt from a few days ago.It would be totally fine if they are unable with whatever system they used but the owner got defensive telling me I was wrong and the box had everything it was supposed to have because he checks them himself. (Uhhh, no, it obviously doesnt that is why I am here) Then told me they dont have proofs of purchases and he cant help me.Again, everyone here is friendly with all the different games being played and if the selling and inventory system they use does not allow to print previous receipts from a few days ago then thats perfectly fine and Ill just make do with two less bases. But it was the defensiveness of the owner. GW makes mistakes in their packaging and they always fix them, not the stores you buy them from which is why I do not understand the defensiveness and refusal to help.P.S For what it is worth, this is the same photo I sent to GW, built the brimstone horrors and what comes next is the 10 blue horrors but two bases are missing.

Best gaming store I been to in Tampa. Other stores are more intimidating and the patrons are more likely to form cliques. However, this store is very open and friendly for patrons. There are many D&D and 40k games that are played here on weekends and other days of the week. Rob, the owner, is friendly and thanks to him I was able to finally get back into a D&D campaign after years of not playing. Glad I found this place. Only downside is wish I found this place earlier.

Great spot. Very friendly owner that wants to actually get to know you. Asked for a recommendation on what to get into similar to 40k and pointed me to two gentleman about to play a game of blood bowl.Always shop at a place that has staff that take the time to get to know you and remember your name. They do events also with a great atmosphere and dedicated community. They also have lots of terrain to spice up your wargaming needs and lots of tabletop space.

What a hidden jem. Robert the owner is very helpful and he can find any bord game you been hunting fur or recommend something for a gift. Its a perfect place to play with friends.

This is a great place to play and purchase table top games. They sell a large variety of minis and can hunt down anything specific you may be looking for. They have a restroom that they keep clean and well stocked. The owners are friendly and offer great customer service. I always feel welcome. As a woman its nice to find a place that has character, sells what we need for games but also supports health and hygiene. Saturdays are their big board game day so if you want to try something new thats the best day to come. Highly recommend.

While visiting Tampa Bay I visited every game and used book store I could find. Here I found the most helpful staff and the staff most excited about gaming. During my first visit it was recommended I check out a used book store which had exactly what I wanted since SR did not. That conversation led to a discussion about the possibility of holding a Vampire: The Masquerade game at SR, I couldnt do it regularly but fast forward a few weeks and SR helped me set up a one-shot and provided a great space for the game. Thank you and check them out!

Super friendly owners and regulars. Shop is always clean and they have various snacks and drinks for purchase as you play. Proprietors are very attentive and willing to help you find what you need. I got involved in my first TTRPG campaign here and its a great place to play. Highly recommended!

I took my son here to find out about transitioning from Warhammer 40k to Dungeons and Dragons and Rob was extremely kind, helpful and informative. We are already planning on going back.

I love this place, there is truely no other place like it in the Tampa area or even Florida from what I know.Great place to learn about new board game or meet friends for a night of slaying dragons. The vibe is super relaxed and they have tons of minis and other table top game paraphernalia. If you want to get a new board game they can order it for you as well. They put on mini painting classes along with weekly board game nights.

I love Shane and Robert. Theyre two of the sweetest guys I know. They dont have a lot of in-store inventory yet, but its a really great space to go and play games with friends or meet new ones. Especially RPGs; they have dungeon tiles you can use in store so you dont have to draw maps 😄

If you are interested in rpgs, this is the place for you! Friday nights are for board games but they also host other games and events such as classes on how to paint miniatures! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff are willing to order what you need if they dont have it in stock.

This store is hands down the best gaming store around i drive more than 45 min. To go to this store to game with my fiances son to game all the time well worth the extra drive for t he friendly atmosphere and professional staff.this store feels more like hanging out with family then playing at a r etail store.

Seems to have a pretty nice play space, but doesnt have much in the way of games for sale. Plus, all the games are behind the counter so you cant really take a look at them without standing awkwardly in the tiny hallway that leads from the door to the tables in the back.

My partner and I travel all over Florida to visit game stores. I had been following The Strange Realms on social media for quite some time, and we were finally ready to go.I have so many good things to say about this location, and if youre looking for a reason NOT to go here, you wont find it in this review.Its an intimate, shopkeep vibe when you first enter the shop. The building is a converted warehouse space so lets just say the exterior feel....sparks your inner adventurer before you even step foot inside. The retail area, although small, boasts many offerings of all types and I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of mini offerings. I found two figs I had been searching for forever, and I had given up on finding them in the wild until I discovered them here.My favorite part of this entire experience was by far interacting with the owner. Robert greeted us right away and gave us a full tour of his establishment, including the immaculate and AWESOME play space. You can tell that his store started as a passion project and his passion shines through with every waking step. Robert is so kind, and promotes this location being a dog-friendly store. There were two amazing puppers when we visited, one being the resident Wizard dog, and my oh my, what a glorious pupper he is.Do yourself a favor and stop in for a peek. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, the retail offerings are generous, and we left impatient to return. 11/10, will recommend to everyone I know.

Its a great little hole in the wall where one can buy some D&D miniatures, or gather some friends and play a game. The proprietor was attentive and made sure we had sodas and character sheets. Good times.

The Strange Realms is an amazing gamestore, the decoration and atmosphere is perfect for tabletop roleplaying games, wargaming, board games and more, and they have almost everything you need to play there to use or available to purchase all at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the regular crowd is a great community happy to answer questions or play with you when available and spots are open, which they often are. I cant reccomend a better place to shop for gaming supplies or host a campaign or board game night

Game shop for gamers. This place is a true gem and deserves visiting. From new and old board games, minis, RPG books for just about every system to game tables, a video table, sci-fi - fantasy movies playing in the lounge area and a huge dwarven forge dungeon layout. Its a place to meet new people, hangout with old friends, get your game on and just find others like you. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and will order anything they dont have in stock. They have drinks and snacks in case you forgot to bring one. Overall a great place, tucked away but plenty of parking. Check it out!
