A big thank you to all the great people at Athena. They have all been great to work with. From the moment Greg came out to measure our kitchen to RC & his helper to start installing our countertops. They are doing a fantastic job‼️

Scott and his team did a phenomenal job at mine and my mothers house. His attention to detail and quality of work is second to none. His prices are very reasonable and not expensive like the other granite companies out there. He always looks for the best interest of his clients and holds his jobs with the highest integrity. Thank you Scott and the Athena team. You guys are the best!!!

Athena (Scott) has done several houses for me and always done a wonderful job. He knows his products and the best prices for the customer. When I send a house normally the client always remarks how the countertops are beautiful and well put together; lining up/matching the veins in the waterfalls corners. I just cant say enough good things about this company. I have recommended Scott and his crew to several other people at my church and been told that he has the best price along with the best installation compare to other companies they check into. I just want to say thank you Scott for all the great installs you have done for me and my friends.

We use Athena for our counter tops for all of our remodels. They do excellent work and are always on time and at a great price. Scott will work with you on selections and Is very knowledgeable about the product. He has several times given us a heads up on whether we should use a certain stone in a certain setting. We were going to use Quartz on an Outdoor Kitchen and he said no way. Glad we listened. Give them a call. You will be glad you did

Scott, RC, and Gendry did and amazing job fixing our potentially serious granite countertop! It looks amazing and they went above and beyond. They are the best in the business. 5 stars is not a high enough rating

This place is terrible. They put a seam in our white counter that turned black almost immediately. There was no reason to put a seam there but he didn’t want to pay an extra guy to carry the full slab into our house. There was no notification to us that our very expensive counter would be cut in half. He also attempted to patch a bunch of chips in the counter, but couldn’t even do that properly so now there are chips all over the counter. Seriously, take your business elsewhere. Worst experience ever.

At first Greg was responsive and impressive. That quickly went downhill especially after he got his check. His men pulled out a small refrigerator and damaged 2 shelves next to it and Greg stated his men would not do that and say nothing. Yet his men left the refrigerator out for no reason. When his men installed the granite, they made a mess of my, under sink filtration system and electrical outlets. His men also left a huge mess from pulling off the old counter top. When speaking to Greg he continually said “my bad” but offered nothing to make up for it. His men threw away part of my disposal and Greg started to place the blame elsewhere until I went off regarding all the other that was “his bad” I paid an extra $350 for someone to fix his messes. So beware - I now see others were not happy with his work

When we were building our house here on the island a few years back, our GC sent us to a local granite place to pick out slabs for the kitchen & bathrooms. There was a single slab of something called marinace green that caught my eye; it was like nothing Id ever seen before. Sadly there was only 1 slab and it had defects in it. The granite guy told us we would not find any more of it in the state--he wanted to sell us what he had on hand, naturally--and so I went to my phone and called the first granite shop that came up in the Tampa area: Athena. From right there on the lot of the local granite place, I explained over the phone to Greg at Athena that Id just seen this amazing granite pattern, but that the sales guy told me it was unobtainium and I wont find more anywhere else. Greg said, How many slabs of the marinace green do you need? I can have 10 by tomorrow, and as many more that youd need within a week or so.We ended up doing our kitchen and our bathrooms (other granite types in the bathrooms) with Athena, and it turned out more spectacular than I ever imagined. Greg worked with us and even cut a difficult section of granite for the window sill directly above the countertop in the kitchen. There was one cutting error in one of the bathrooms, but Greg told us not to worry; he would cut & install new granite for us in short order. Our general contractor--who was disappointed that wed snubbed his own granite guy in the first place--warned us that we would never hear from Athena again, as they had our $$ and thus we had no leverage. True to his word, Greg called a week later to schedule an installation date, and as a courtesy, he even upgraded our porcelain sinks to the made-in-USA Toto brand that were twice the cost of the sinks wed picked out originally. Its a few years later now, and Im so glad that I made the snap decision not to settle for granite at our local shop, and that I chanced to make the call to Athena. The marinace green really makes our contemporary kitchen pop, and we get compliments on it all the time.

Our journey started with the Cabinet and Stone International on 56th. They suggested we find a slab we liked and they would take care of the rest. Stone Warehouse of Tampa was excellent. We picked 2 gorgeous slabs - which we almost lost b/c Cabinet and Stone did not follow up in a timely manner. You gotta stay on-top of things yourself.Once the slabs were brought to Athena - who would be templating, cutting and installing the granite, I was impressed with Greg and the level of professionalism and help. Athena was receptive and thorough.BUT THEN, the granite was installed. I wish I could include pictures. Its ruined my kitchen reno result. The reveal around my stainless steel apron sink is completely uneven and just horrible. Each side has a different reveal measurement. One side is about 1/8th inch, while the other is 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch. Everyone whos seen it says itd drive them crazy. I did have Athena come back out - and while they were able to recut and replace a small piece of granite that was cut and installed with the movement running in the wrong direction, they said they were unable to do anything about the sink and other issues I had. I firmly believe they can. I also ended up with 2 seams when I was only supposed to have one, and the glued areas are awful. The lines dont even match up. They look like completely different pieces. My pantry door hits the granite when i open it, one corner edge of the granite is misshapen and the caulking around the sink turns white in some sections when its wet. The island is cut slightly off and although barely noticeable - it is. I am so disappointed. Im not a perfectionist by any means, but its sad that we ended up with the result we did. I would not recommend Athena to anyone unless they came back and made it right. I dont think itd take much effort on their part. I spent a good amount of money for a poor job.
