VERY responsive company, $1700+ internet order on a new 3.5 ton Rheem A/C Condenser. We started out rocky on communication but quickly resolved communications - My concerns were addressed quickly & attentively. This company is worthy of a 5 star review & more importantly - your business. IF you run into any communications issues - ask for a manager.Unit arrived and is installed, saved $$$s possibly $$$$s- dont hesitate, save money as I did and have the same quality product that your local contractor will sell you - less their mark up. I did easily find a local company to do the install on owner furnished equipment. You should also be able to easily locate an installer. I ordered a split heat pump system from them and there was a glitch in the order. Management got involved and solved it immediately. Customer service is much more important than price. I would definately not only recommend Budget Heating and Air Conditioning I would buy from them again.

Currently you cannot find a pool heat pump in Jersey. Supply chain is a mess and everyone is ordering 2-3 months out.Called these folks, they had a heater in stock that they had on a truck ready to ship the next day. One week later it was in my backyard and being installed.Whole process was simple, easy, reasonably priced. Zero complaints whatsoever.

Yes we received what we ordered, but how it all came packaged was pretty messy. The thermostat wire looked used, bent, and just thrown in the box. The copper line felt very thin and weak when trying to cut and bend it. The insulation tubing and all the pieces were not already set with the copper.

Fast delivery, good product but 4 stars because it was a bit on the pricey side for a piece of cheap plastic. Otherwise its great service!

This is the second unit I have bought from Budget Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. in Tampa. The first one was a Diamond Air that lasted 12 years and I just replaced it with this new one. This one is a Goodman and it runs quieter than the previous one ever did and cools good so far. I bought a condenser pad with this one and I am glad I did because it is thicker than any I have used. Overall I am happy with my purchase and have recommended them to a neighbor and posted these pictures already.

Price was good. Everything came packaged right for shipping and all products purchased work. Just the line sets, the cooper was not up to standers very poor quality. Other then that would recommend using Budget Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.

This review is not about Budget Heating and Air, Budget was great but the freight company they hired Southeastern Freight Lines ripped RIPPED OFF A SENIOR CITIZEN!!!! Southeastern Freight Lines was hired by my Budget Heating to deliver my a.c unit and handler and caused damaged to the a.c. handler. The two pieces were delivered on 11/12/2020 to a vacant property that was being remodeled. According to Budget, we were supposed to be allowed to review the units and sign for release. Southeastern Freight Lines driver dropped off the unit out allowing us to inspect, otherwise, we could have noted the exterior damage to the a.c. handler (which was done by stacking other items on it a clear violation of the BOL) and the driver did not obtain our signature instead in full site of us and our neighbor he rushed to get back in his truck and signed the signature pad himself. I contacted the Southeastern Freight Lines and they stated that due to COVID it is their policy to allow drivers to sign for the release of your product and that they can only compensate me $323 for a $969 item (for damages). I rejected Southeastern Freight Lines offer of $323 because the damage is due to their negligence of stacking other items on top of the unit and their breach of duty/contract since their driver signed on my behalf without allowing us to inspect it. Due to COVID, I am on furlough and only have my Social Security income so I will not be able to move back into my property without the unit being installed, Southeastern Freight Lines response was to pursue this matter further and thats what I will have to do. I am posting this for future consumers see if Budget has another freight company because Southeastern Freight Lines will cause damages to your item and will not own up to reimbursing the cost of replacement, please be aware. ***I am not the only customer that they have done this too, below I have included another complaint of a similar incident from the Southeastern Freights BBB site***

Item in the shipment was broken, I reported it on the Budget website. I rec a call from the owner of the company who said they would send out a replacement bulb immediately, which they did. I explained that I had ordered bulbs frm them before, with no issues, and that I felt that it was FedEx who mishandled the item. I save around $70 compared to buying this from my A/C maintenance provider. Ill continue to buy from Budget.

Budget heating and air is a great choice for your heating and air needs. They’re the cheapest price I could find locally or online shipped to my door(not just a dock). One day after my credit card transaction posted on my credit card account, Ive got a message from Mike Kopel: Please call me regarding your recent order with us. We have to speak with you before we can ship your order. When I called him, he lied to me that there is a problem with my payment and he needs my credit card info (number, exp. date, and 3-digit security code). I gave him all info, except the security code. Then he asked me to e-mail him any official document with my name. I called my bank and they told me NOT TO SEND ANY DOCUMENTS to him. So I sent him only a confirmation that my card was charged and transaction already posted a day before. Mike Kopel replied: Im sorry but per my accounting dept., They will not accept this as proof of billing. We will need to do a verification on your credit card in order to complete your transaction. Please call us on Monday. Beware of this strange company. You should think twice before ordering anything from their website, they are very unprofessional. My order was for $568.89 only.

Purchased a Rheem 3.5 ton Central Air AC Unit & 4 ton Condenser. It was in stock and was ready to be delivered in less than 48 hrs - amazing! Delivered right to my door. Hired Ralph from Home Air Defender who gave me a great price to install and he did a fantastic job. Love my new energy efficient unit. Budget Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc and Home Air Defender saved me several thousand dollars off the cost of a new HVAC! I would absolutely use them again!

Updated: Trent called and offered to make it right.the ac was in good condition & a good price but the contractor was terrible which budget did nothing to facilitate with the contractor they provided. Contractor charged me for things he did not do, took supplies i was charged for, insisted he be allowed to get extra parts in case they were needed despite my insistence they were not then i had to drive out to return them and was charged a restocking.

Ordered 50 foot thermostat cable and received it balled up in the box. To me it that much should have been on a spool. There was no communication when the item shipped. Had to call to find out it was shipped, the contact person was very nice.

Fair pricing, fast shipping and extremely knowledgeable folks. Wasnt exactly sure of what I needed to get all the parts for a 5 ton split system, but they put together a package for me that had it all to complete the job in one order. This is about warranty processing, not about the unit purchase, which was a good experience. The warranty processing is horrible. Do not even bother to request replacement parts through them. After 5.5 years my Goodman variable speed motor went down. The diagnostic is primitive, because the main board displays error code, which tells exactly where the problem is. Actually the motor was starting for several seconds and stopping. Obviously the controller was bad. But Goodman does not replace controller but the entire motor anyway. My point is that the problem is so apparent; it can be easily confirmed by phone, some pictures, or even quick diagnoses in the warehouse. But they want from you: $65 to start, then system diagnostic by certified technician, another $200 or so. It is upside down, They should be proving that it is good, not you that it is bad and paying for it.So I went to another “certified” AC service place. The guy knew what to do, I gave him $50 for effort and in the afternoon I had brand new Goodman motor. And of course it was motor problem, it was so apparent for the AC guy from the beginning, because they are breaking left and right.Of course they will answer that this is Goodman requirement. But if they are selling AC products to the public, and they sell big quantities, they should have someone competent to handle warranty, be able to test, at least simple cases, have tools, maybe in more complex charge for that but they do not do it for free anyway. Something is not right here.

I would highly recommend this company for incredible service and amazing prices! Trent treated me really well explaining my options and made certain I really understood what I needed. Falsely Accused! Purchased a Return Air Box not thinking that the condition I purchased it in mattered since it was going to be installed in the attic. I dont know how its supposed to look from factory, its a construction item. I only took the item into the house for a measurement. Didn’t install or touch it with any tools. With the measurement of the box and the rough opening, realized that it would not fit. Went to return it. The lady who took care of me at first was sitting by the front door. She got a hold of a salesman to assist me for an exchange. He took me to his office and politely got the correct size of what I needed. Going back to the front entrance, another lady accused me of installing the Return Air Box because the item had a couple of scratches, however the box came that way. I was accused of installing it, however it had no opening or penetrations. It only had the tape that was on it when I purchased it, which of course I didn’t think it was important, just part of the manufacturing. I didnt even purchase tape nor did I have any. I was just told by my friend of what I needed to get and thats what I got. I was then told by the second woman that two of their employees signed the paperwork at the time of purchase, in front of me with a “return box” with no scratches or tape. She went on to inform me that it was given to me in pristine condition. When I initially purchased the item I was only assisted by ONE person and I returned the box in THE EXACT SAME CONDITION THAT IT WAS SOLD! She threaten me with the video from the cameras verifying the condition of the purchase. I did not flinch and said great, the video will verify that Im telling the truth. She then changed her mind and would not allow me to see the camera footage. She denied the return and told me to take the box with me or its going in the dumpster. I was then asked to leave the premises or she would phone the police. I then asked for her name. Which she claimed to be “Holly” and wouldn’t give me her last name. I was courteous and polite the entire time. As I was leaving, the lady who attended to me first had an embarrassed look on her face and apologized to me. Which in return, I said she didnt need to apologize because she did nothing wrong. AFTER SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED THIS WAY!!! P.S. I left a review on their company website which needless to say, has not posted yet...I wonder why???

The unit was shipped quickly and it was complete, the unit had some cosmetic damage to both pieces that was cause during the delivery process im sure but works fine so far.

Ive bought through them a few times now and all went pretty well. Bought an outside unit recently and specifically asked Fred about the warranty and he put me on hold supposedly to go check, came back and said 10 years. I bought that unit and looking through the paperwork and it stated 5 years. 3 emails to Fred have gone unanswered which is probably the worst part, just face up to it! I also wasnt thinking and ordered a drier filter and just wish Fred had reminded me the unit came with one.

I bought a top-of-the-line Mitsubishi mini split from budget heat and air. It arrived with “concealed damage”Meaning there was no apparent damage to the box or to the unit when we opened it at the time the freight company delivered it. The installer later found the damage under taping.We started the warranty claim process and got nowhere with Mitsubishi. They expect us to Read their Website before you buy their product,go through a few clicks and discover in fine print how they basically don’t warranty online sales even if it’s a reputable company.However budget heat and air came through and worked with their distributor and shipped me A new cover to replace the damaged one. Thanks for taking care of me, your customer ! Particularly Andy the sales person I worked with out of Houston was knowledgeable and helpful.

BUYER BEWARE!This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had buying on line. I live in Arizona and during a heat wave of 100+ days my air conditioner broke. It turned out that I needed a new compressor. We found the correct model on Budget’s website and ordered it. I received an invoice for the total cost, including shipping. I immediately paid it in full using PayPal.Days later, after already thinking my product had shipped, I got another e-mail stating they needed more money to ship the package. I pointed out that I had already paid for shipping. They replied that on their web-site it states that shipping is an estimate. I in turned pointed out that no where did it state on my invoice that I was paying a deposit, the invoice was an estimate or that they could change the transaction after I paid the amount asked. I explained the reason I bought from them is that I am on a fixed income (their price was the lowest) and even a small additional amount would be a hardship for me. I told then that I had paid what they had billed me and please send my product.After not having any further contact from Budget, I called back three more times. I was so frustrated and upset I finally gave up and asked a friend to try to talk to them. Finally, someone else was able to speak to the people in Florida, they said that they would not ship the compressor at the price I paid, they were going to cancel the order and refund me my money.I have essentially given Budget an interest free loan of my purchase price for the better part of a month.
