Great at the beginning when they want your business. The sod work was actually good but after a month or 2 when some pieces died the company basically ignored us. It was only a small section of sod too. They offer a 90 day warranty as well but you might as well forget about that part. Wont return phone calls or texts. Says they will fix the issue then never is seen or heard from again. Buyer beware is all I can say!! I usually dont leave reviews but thought I should in this case..

JFC did a great job with my back yard sod install. The price was great and everything was done in one day. After 2 months I had 2 pretty large spots that had disease and died. Jobe made sure to come out and replace the dead spots. Overall, they did a great job and I am very happy. The photo attached shows the spot the JFC crew replaced and how nice the rest of the lawn looks.

Definitely listen to what all of the reviews are saying and avoid this company at all costs! He just wastes your time. This owner NEVER gets back to you and then proceeds to ACCUSE you of lying about them never getting back to you. My boyfriend and I have waited two weeks for a call back/quote and have gotten neither. We have made MULITPE attempts, to no avail. Instead of explaining why he never got back to us or at least make-up an excuse, he actually accuses us of lying-- which does not make much sense.. Why would I waste 2 weeks, and lie and say you have not gotten back to us and you have not quoted us. That really doesnt make any sense.This owner then tells me to go and ask my neighbors if this happened to any of them because this doesnt happen, well it did and by the looks of the other reviews--happens often. I also dont have to go and ask my neighbors about their experience with this company. I am calling to deal with MY situation. And also, extremely unprofessional to tell a potential customer to go and do that. The whole interaction (or lack thereof) has been unprofessional. All that needed to be done was a simple apolgy and an explanation of what happened. Also tried to talk over me and then hung up on me. So definitely avoid this fool. I will be telling everyone I know and my NEIGHBORS about this. Also, I dont care how many lawns that youve done in this neighborhood. Like most people have stated, I would give negative stars if I could.

Miracle Workers!!!! The owner is phenomenal and so knowledgeable, he’s not about selling a product just to sell, but actually taking the time to address all areas of concern when it comes to re-sodding. We even added on sprinkler and shrubbery work. The crew was fast and our yard looks amazing. We will definitely be using them for other services. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dont bother even making an appointment. I had an appointment with Jobe on Saturday, 8am... he didnt show up, didnt call. I texted and called several times until he finally called me back 2 hours later with an excuse of farm equipment breaking down, etc., and he asked if we could re-schedule to 9am on Sunday... I reluctantly agreed. And - once again, he wasted my time on Sunday, as he didnt show up then either, and didnt bother to call or otherwise contact me.2 strikes youre out! What a waste of time... dont waste yours, too!

They are wonderful to work with. I appreciate the care they took in my yard. I mentioned to the owner that Ive had to re-sod several times because my grass kept dying. He diagnosed the problem to take preventative measure before he begin the work. I am very pleased with the outcome and the customer service. If youre looking for someone who is gonna give you what you need not just what you want.... I highly recommend

He doesn’t honor his guarantee period. He doesn’t return phone calls or text once he takes your money. Part of his job was to level and clean up the yard before he installed the sod, which he didn’t. He charged us for excavation of roots which wasn’t done completely. Please stay away from this company. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU GO WITH THEM. Listen to all the negative reviews, they’re all true. Stay away from this company, stay away from them. They are a scam !

After obtaining 4 estimates and shopping around, I contracted with JFC Landscaping and SOD, to replace the SOD in my front yard and part of the rear. From the first call to making the final payment, the service was excellent. An appointment was made for the estimate to which JFC, the owner himself arrived timely. He was very professional, exceptionally informative and very well priced. The contract/agreement was signed and the start date agreed upon. On the start day, I was unable to be present but from my residence surveillance cameras I was able to view the entire process. JFC and his team receive nothing but KUDOS from me for a job well done. They by far exceeded my expectations. The old sod was removed; the area was prepped; the sod (quality sod) was placed with the agreed prepping chemicals. The area was clean and everything was removed. I was totally amazed at the quality of work I received for the price quoted and paid. I watered as instructed and my lawn is beautiful. I am totally happy and would unequivocally recommend JFC Landscaping and SOD to anyone needing SOD/landscaping work. They have proven to be the best of the best.

Worst sod experience. I literally had to call 12 times to get my sod delivered. The first missed delivery was supposed to be the same day of payment in the afternoon, then next day in the morning. After that I had to call 4 more times with no certain delivery time or estimated time of arrival. He told me the driver did not speak English when the driver got to my house he spoke perfect english and told me that he had just gotten the call 10 minutes prior to deliver the sod this was at 4pm. If you want a headache, dishonesty and back and forth then come to this place.

It was a blessing doing business with Job. He provided Excellent customer service and fair prices that this single mom was able to afford. He went above and beyond by removing a tree root to ensure that I have a level walkway. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who asks.

AWESOME!!! My dogs were digging up my yard, it looked awful. JFC came in and did an outstanding job re-sodding the yard. They are honest, hard working, reasonable, and just good people! My yard looks great! Thank you Jobe!

Give this family owned business a chance. The reviews seem strange to me as this company did right by me. I bought Bahia and it grew in very green and healthy. I needed more and because of the rain he waited to sell me the next pallet until he had a good quality to sell. He didnt want me to be unhappy with junk that falls apart. I appreciate it very much.

Jobe/JFC transformed my entire yard! He took the time to listen to me and get the job right. He overlooked the entire job from old sod removal, adding irrigation, re-sod, ordering landscaping rocks, and final clean up. We even spent time at the nursery to pick out plants and he designed the yard even better than I couldve imagined. Im very grateful for Jobe and David and the job theyve done for me. Gained a beautiful yard and a friend along the way! I will recommend JFC to any friend or neighbor!JFC #1!

I Bought St Augustine sod fromThis company and experienced amazing customer service. The price was the lower than anywhere else in pinellas or hillsborough. My lawn looks beautiful and the employees were so nice. Would recommend you verify the address if your picking up because they moved and it wasn’t updated online yet.

This guy was horrible to work with. Exploiting every employee he has. Says that he pays $700 salary for truck drivers but pays what he thinks you earned at the end. I worked like a slave landscaping and driving for six days totaling close to 70 hours and still had the nerve to not pay me full because he sent me home early one day. Averaging $90 a day and $9 an hour. Rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional with everyone! Employees as customers .hard guy to make business with and work for. Go to big earth for sod. Better quality, service and same prices.

Stay AWAY at all cost ! This has got to be the most unprofessional experience I have had with a service provider EVER! I guess it’s true what they say never do business with “family”. This “BROTHER” Jobe, the business owner, pretented to be a righteous “Christian” quoting the Bible and telling me his stories of being a part time pastor. What a fraud, I gave Jobe $400 for 2 pallets of sod. It has been two weeks since the scheduled delivery date and for a week I spoke to Jobe daily and every day he promised to deliver it the next day. He had a lie of an excuse ever day until this week when he just stopped repling to my text and calls . A day ago I called from a unsuspecting phone and he picked up the phone and stated that he’d get the sod delivered that day. Again “No Show”. What an absolutely piece of .....work he is. Jobe giveshard working honest Haitians a bad reputation. STAY AWAY to just not worth it.

I read the earlier reviews, and all I can say is that these guys are excellent! They may be a no frills business, but their prices are much better than the local competition, they are on time, and the sod was in great condition and looks great in my yard. I ordered 2 pallets on 2 different days, the 2nd day they were a few mins behind schedule, so all of them jumped off of their truck and laid the sod for me... saved me an hour for sure! I doubt youll find a better deal on sod anywhere in the Tampa area!

Bought a couple of pallets of sod to be delivered. Got mediocre service, he had no real office just on the side of the road. I still bought the sod because it looked fresh for the price. He told me he was going to deliver it the same day, but he didnt have a driver so he couldnt.So the sod was delivered the next day and i had no problems with the deliverer. Then later i get a call saying i shorted him some money, and on top ofthat more than 30 pieces of the sod were rotten. the man was so dishonest that he later did not pick up the phone the next time i called him to tell him his sod was bad. NO STARS.

Update!!! Jobe mismeasured and it ended up being over 30 pallets of sod. My entire yard is now full of weeds. Plants that he said he dug our were not and are now growing through the sod. He has no showed me multiple times and i am just noticing that he either disconnected or covered up one of the zones in the front yard which is why the sod is now dying. He has a different crew almost everyday. I no longer recommend Jobe or his shady business. Spent almost 9k with this guy for a terrible job.

Stopped by and gave them the measurements that i needed and they loaded up my truck. Got home and bam was perfect amount. I went back to return the pallet since i didnt need it and decided to do another section and he says here take a few extra pieces just in case. Glad i did since i didnt measure and needed every piece.

Bad sod ugly sod

It is the worst of all the companies that sell grass. I dont know the experience of others charged me the money with the promise that the grass would be at 7 am the other day. I was waiting with the employees until 3 pm and of course pay them their day. They said it would be the next day with a handful of excuses at 6am and it appeared at 10 in the morning. I will never do business with this company again. The grass only served half the top of the pallet the other Half was a peck of grass. I do not recommend it to anyone. As for the price it is 10 dollars above other places so it is not good either. I came by recommendation of a friend who apparently is his friend but for me respecting the opinion of Others is garbage in a general sense.
