Picked this place at random while heading out of Taos and the best choice we couldve made. The staff was friendly and food was delicious. Im usually a green girl but heard their red chile was amazing so I went for it and was not disappointed!!! Portion sizes are on the lighter side but perfect, limited menu but I think that its quality over quantity.
Hands down AMAZING. The menu is small, but they know what they’re doing. My husband and I are Taoseños and this has become our go-to breakfast joint. Everything is good - but the red chile is truly exceptional.
Our family of 8 stopped here on our way out of town for breakfast and we were blown away by this little gem of a cafe! The staff was friendly and talkative, the place was very clean and the food was amazing. We were very pleased with the simple menu, it wasn’t overwhelming but still had variety. The red chile was wonderful, as the other reviews state. Our family had burritos, papas fritas and biscuits and gravy and there wasn’t a single complaint. I highly recommend this little place for a taste of New Mexican food in Taos!
A nice place for breakfast. A limited menu but the food is good.
This place was a real find. A classic diner feel, in this case in Pueblo Deco style-a circular dining room evoking a kiva, with windows all around-in keeping with the Kachina Lodge of which its a part.. The operation seems to be a family affair, with dad behind the circular central counter running things, the son (12-13 yrs old!) competently waiting tables, and presumably mom in back running the kitchen. And what a kitchen it is, if my food was any indication. A chicharrones burrito smothered in green (chiles that is) was as good as anything Ive ever had in New Mexico. I highly recommend this place.
