Stopped to get a few things and did not have a great experience at all. Employee working was very sloppy, had a hat on that sat in a way that you could barely see his eyes. He did not seem to want to be working nor was very helpful at all. There was a manager there that never even acknowledged my presence, did not say hello or look up from what she was doing. I have never had a problem at this location previously. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on.

Stopped in today on my way home from work. I’ve been having problems with my truck cranking so I decided to go for a battery, alternator, starter test. I walked in and was kindly greeted by a young man (about the only good thing to happen). I asked if he could perform an alternator test and he said “sure!” so I took it as he was thoroughly trained and knew exactly what to do. When we got to my truck, he punched buttons for a few minutes on his machine, got me to crank my truck (this time it did crank) and says “I don’t really know how to work this thing” then proceeds to tell me that my battery, alternator and starter are all bad. His little meter said my battery had 0 CCA on the start. Obviously not the case because it started right up. I asked him to run it again and he said that’s it and it won’t be any different and then apologized saying “I’m sorry man but I’m not a mechanic so I can’t work this”. He then told me to go find another place to do it. If he didn’t know how to do it, just say so and let another employee perform the test. I do not remember the young mans name but he was friendly aside from wasting my time when he knew he couldn’t work the machine. I’m not trying to sound like a grouchy old man but I run the risk of my battery dying on the road because of the kid giving me the run around knowing he isn’t knowledgeable with the equipment.

They always take good care of my wife and I. They are our go to when we need a part right now. Always great customer service.

I stopped by looking for clips for my front bumper and Conner took time out to not only help me but fix my car. My previous visit there he helped me with my battery bcuz it was cutting off

A good place to shop for windshield wipers, car waxes, spark plugs. I found a nice headlight cleaner. Nice clean store, well lit. Employees are always eager to help.

Yet again I came to advance for some things and just got great service. Driving my dads truck he needed new windshield wiper blades and they always give great advice and suggested a proper size for the right truck and also offered to install them for me and I just so appreciate this store especially. Ive been to many advance but this location is just tremendous👍✔

Online said they had my cheap break pads in stock and I got there the guy said all they had was high dollar so he went into basically a promotion advertising mode and tried pushing the pads on me and said we dont have the one I want in stock and it plainly said in stock and never offered to assist me by locating a store with them in stock r nothing. I got the cheap ones in Taylors and guy was better but also tried boosting the sell but once I told him about the other store he found what I wanted .(but) didnt tell me no grease for brakes come with the brakes he should have probably let me know and should make sure customers leave knowing they got everything needed for the job

Extremely rude staff. Bruce specifically. Tried to get a driveworks part warrantied, and was told before he even asked my name that he wasnt goong to swap it unless it came from this store. He was extremely rude, and told me that you can only warranty parts at the specific store you bought them from, although i have warrantied a good number of parts at different stores even across a few different states.

The professional counter man determined the exact battery for my Ram 1500. Then showed me how to get an online discount. Removed and replaced my battery, all within 30 minutes. Taylors SC.Excellent product, price and customer service.

Cant say enough good things about this particular store. Needed a bulb for our production truck. Don deciphered the massive locator catalog and had one on the counter in moments. He offered expert advice and then demonstrated hands on everything to do with installation of the new bulb. Recommend.

Check engine light came on after my sons medical appt and they were the nearest place I knew who could check it...well I was denied because of this virus and associate acted like he didnt even care.. Ended going to Firestone beside them and the gentleman there did it for me.

I bought a new battery online, jump started my car to get to this location and they installed it for free. It was actually cheaper to buy it online because there was an online-only discount. There was a core charge which gets refunded when you turn in the old battery. Since they installed it, they knew they had my old battery and refunded the core charge automatically without me having to do anything. Perfect.

Employees of THIS store make all the difference!Over the years, at one point or another, I have picked up parts and supplies from just about every retailer in the Greenville area - including other advance auto part stores and other similar competitors (OReilly, Pep Boyz & Auto Zone). I have never had a truly negative experience at any of them.But, I happened to stop by this location (almost on a whim) to pick up a turning bulb for my car. There were 4 or 5 people in front of me in line. The people working at this store took great interest and listening to what each customer needed and working with them to find the right solution. If it matters, the employees were mostly older guys, all of whom seemed like former mechanics who knew their stuff.I was just so impressed that they cared that much. They were even helping one guy in the parking lot who bought a do-it-yourself Freon recharge kit to get it done right.Maybe I caught them on a good day; maybe it was just that shift of employees, but they were great.

Staff is nice enough and a lot more friendly and helpful than the zone just down the street. Also the zone wouldnt let me recycle more than 8 quarts of oil per day. When I change the oil in my truck and car I end up with more than that so I take it back to Advance and buy more while Im there to use on the next oil change.

I went thinking I just needed to replace my serpentine belt on my Jeep Wrangler. Simpme enough right? WRONG. Apulley had frozen some time ago and belt wrappi gs had melted all over so I needed an additional arm and pulley assembly. All thexwhile in their parking lot that they were kind enough to let me use. Took forever and some advice and some borrowed tools that theyvarent obligated to supply but did and I am forever thankful for that. When it came time for me to put the belt on I drew a blank and couldnt figure out the path or tragectory. Felliw that I had been bugging all morning came out and slid the belt right on. He refused a tip asxwell. He didnt have to leave out behind that counter but him and a couple others there seem to go that extra mile to help out us shadetree parts changers as they are the real mechanics and I go back there every time I need anything automotive. Theyre a great crew/team all the way around and I cant thank them enough.

Staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help you find items or go out to your car to address questions, test something (battery, alternator, etc), or to install a bulb, a battery, or even a windshield wiper. These folks are a blessing when I need advice or parts.

Had the parts I needed and offered what seemed like good advice on a couple items I wasnt sure about.

My go to choice for automotive parts or service questions... they will even do several free diagnostics for you that most mechanics charge for such as an ECM code lookup, battery testing and charging, simple filter or bulb changes, etc.. have been a happy and loyal customer for years.

I had to get help from them twice today. Very knowledgeable and willing to help. I will continue to shop with yall

Packaged the product wrong and when I tried to go back to replace they wouldnt take it and when I gave up and tried to buy the correct product they said they didnt have it. Completely useless, just order what you need from their website online.

Good for getting the car partsd you need

They would not replace my battery that is under warranty. I paid over $200.00 for my optima battery. I only had it for a year and 1/2, and it has a three year warranty. Im going to call there corporate number, and complain about this matter. This was the Greer S.C store.
