DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 4/6. 4/15. We still have a broken washer even worse than before we asked for service from this company or american home warranty. Our washer is stil leaking. It was never repaired. Its been 6 weeks. We give up. Thanks vladimir for coming to our house six times and not doing anything. Thank you for taking advantage of elderly people on SS. We are struggling even more would never recommend this company. If youre home warranty recommends them, ask for a new company. Vladimir came on a Friday spend hours here. Banged on our washer so loudly our neighbor could hear it in their house. He left, we never heard anything since. Its now Wednesday. Our washer is completely gutted. See attached pictures. We have handicap people here that soil clothes and sheets constantly. These people let their phone ring with no answer or anyway to leave a message. There is reason for this companys poor rating. Im going to leave a review on the BBB web.
8 visits. Did not know what they were doing. Did not fix. Broke more of the oven by the 8th visit. Had to get a new contractor out to fix their work. Even they were appalled on how bad they were. No showed twice. Would not recommend to anyone I like.
We had a young man named Gabe come out to diagnose & repair some issues with our fridge. We have had these same issues repaired by a different company 3 times before, and with the other guys it took them several visits over many weeks to figure out the issue, get the part in, & fix the issue. Gabe was able to do this in only 2 visits & he fixed it properly. Gabe was professional & explained everything to us. If the issue happens again we will definitely call AVA Appliance again.
Gabe was super professional, replaced PCB like it was nothing (no BS runaround). If only every AHS company was like this, give this guy a raise please!!!!
Requested service via HOME DEPOT extended warranty service. Home Depot sent out this outfit to do the repair. Dryer was howling to no end like a screaming car fan that wouldnt quit. Techs solution pulley oiled which worked for about 10 mins. Called office to complain and was informed by secretary that all machines make noise, unless the dryer stops working they were done with the service. Gave this service provider 1 star for showing up on time at the right address. Workmanship by tech was terrible, failed to reassemble dryer completely (missing screws), failed to diagnose the cause of the issue and took an easy way out instead of doing his job correctly. Called another appliance company and got the issue correctly resolved, at my own expense. I would not recommend using this company at all.
I was assigned this company through my home warranty. They have been to my house eight times over the past three months. They continue to replace the exact same parts with no resolution. Repair man says the unit needs to be replaced, yet they refuse to submit that to the warranty company. Impossible to reach a manager or anyone of help. Highly do not recommend using this company.
Untimely and are not accountable. We have been patiently waiting for the washer to be repaired for the SECOND time and they same day cancel the appointment we have been waiting over a week for. The first time they came to repair it, they said it was a small part and fixed it. A week later the same noises, and smoking we called about the first time happened again. Two weeks later still no repair. Now we are having to wait another 5 days with no washer because they aren’t fully staffed. I recommend you use another appliance company. Pay the extra money to get it repaired properly the first time with a more reliable company.
They do not follow their “About Us” promise…I am literally on the 6th visit to get my refrigerator fixed. In addition to this huge problem and inconvenience, I am appalled at the blatant disregard of the technicians to not protect personal property. Not only do they leave a mess but they damage personal items without having the decency to apologize or rectify the situation. I am ending up with more broken items in my home and still have a broken fridge! Ava Appliance Repair (Arizona Value Appliance)
Is there a negative star review?!?! This is the most incompetent and unprofessional company I have ever come across. Lies and tells you it’s fixed and the appliance never works after they leave. Home warranty assigned this company to me. After almost 2 months of repeated repairs (7 separate attempts altogether) my dishwasher is still not able to start and finish a cycle. There are NO supervisors NO managers that can ever talk to me. The one lady who answers the phone is completely useless. The senior technician though nice and well mannered does not know how to fix dishwashers. Each time he comes he takes some things apart and bangs around and drills and then leaves saying “all finished”. Nothing is repaired after he leaves, dishwasher still won’t run. Water and dirt left on the floor, so I have to clean and wipe down after him. They supposedly changed 3 parts (although they never could tell me which parts) over the 7 weeks time and they could never officially “diagnose” why my dishwasher won’t work. I’ve waited almost 8 weeks now and still no functioning dishwasher. If you need to get your appliance fixed I highly suggest you find a competent company because this isn’t it. It’s like dealing with a bunch of clowns. There is apparently no managers owners or supervisors to speak to even after their 7th failed attempt. Oh and also they have a very dumb company policy that they always need to send the same technician out even though he doesn’t seem to comprehend or be able to fix the problem. If I could rate negative stars I would!
My home warranty company selected AVA Appliance Repair to evaluate our dishwasher as it stopped washing dishes and left the soap pods in a state where they were not completely dissolved and left suds on the dishes as well. After evaluating, they concluded it was the control board, ordered one that took 3-4 weeks to arrive, installed it and walked away without confirming it was fixed. They were called back out and stated that everything was working properly (however all the same symptoms occurred during each wash for us). Called out again and the same tech. then blamed it on the temperature of our water that came from our water heater... I turned it up to a point it can actually scald your skin when washing your hands, called them back and the tech said he didnt know what else to do and that it must be something else beside the dishwasher that was causing the dishwasher not to clean the dishes. Our home warranty called another company and within 30 seconds of diagnosing the problem, the realized it was the heating element in the bottom of the dishwasher, ordered a replacement, installed 2 days later and now it works fine (because someone else fixed it other than AVA Appliance Repair).
Was assigned to this company through our home warranty to fix our broken microwave. They couldnt get a tech out in person until over a week out so they set up a virtual appointment with a senior tech for two days later. Two days pass... the call time for our appointment comes and goes. I call in and ask and Im told that there is no one available for the call and they will have to schedule an in-person tech. Seriously? After reading the reviews and being stood up for our appointment, I called the warranty company back and am working with a different repair shop.
Fair is fair. With as many bad reviews as there are for this firm, it would be unfair for me not to share a positive experience. Our dryer thermostat went out. We notified our home warranty company and they assigned AVA. I did not wait for them to contact us and phoned right away (a Tuesday late morning). The receptionist was polite and professional a tech was assigned for the following Thursday morning. Ivan notified us when he was en route and arrived in a timely manner. He broke the dryer down completely, diagnosed the problem and checked with his superior regarding the proper part. Turns out he had the part needed and accomplished the repair within an hour. Ivan was polite and professional and left his work area spotless.
This company sent a service tech named Gabe to my house after I called in because my washer was leaking. Within ten minutes he advised me the washer was sloshing, not leaking. He ordered a stabilizer and installed it. Within a few days, the washer flooded my house. They refused to take responsibility. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. They have no integrity and theyre lazy.
Do not use this place if part of home warranty. Was told 3 bath towels were too many for a front loader 50 pound machine. The service tech said a way different story. Turns out they just dont want to fix it. Shame on them
Our washer is worse than when we started 3 repair visits ago from them. Here we are 7 weeks later, not fixed and they want to deem it unrepairable and have our warranty cash us out for the value. No thank you. If your home warranty company wants to use them, do not!
Helpful dispatch and professional technician. Got right to work and knew what they were doing. No problems at all
Armen from AVA Appliance Repair, Inc. came out to service my refrigerators that were having problems. The technician, Armen, was quite friendly and professional. He told me what the problem was and what needed to be done to repair it. He also told me the cost before starting. He fixed both my kitchen refrigerator as well as my basement refrigerator. I am very satisfied with his service and would recommend AVA Appliance Repair, Inc.
This is the second repair place through American Home Shield. To be fair this was the second company. I was told this company would be able to repair the closed system blockage and replace the gasket for the freezer and install the board that was ordered from the prior repair place. Last Thursday I called twice, requested that this company call me prior so that I could discuss these issues, I requested a heads up so that I could be at the house for the consultation/repair, I requested and was told by the repairman that he would call me after...nothing. Last week, I requested to speak with a manager because I needed to make sure that the company understood the massive delays and that a reassess would only delay the repair further. They insisted on a reassess the issues which were already assessed. Nothing. Last week I requested the manager. I was placed on the manager board and was told I would receive a call back. Nothing. I was told that the managers all of them were out or unavailable. I called twice last Thursday and spent over an hour on the phone with this company. Today, when I called, I asked to speak with someone knowledgeable about the repair. Nothing. I was told they would...you guessed it...place me on the manager board. I said that was already on the manager board and that I need to speak with someone, frankly anyone. It is unacceptable and that a customer is unable to speak with a knowledgeable repair person and/or a manager regarding their concerns and outcome/diagnosis. Again, I asked for the the manager and if he/she was not available needed to speak with the managers managers manager...Nothing. YOU CANT TALK TO ANYONE OTHER THAN A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON (WHO ONLY REITERATES THAT SHE IS SORRY AND THAT SHE CAN PLACE YOU ON THE MANAGER BOARD). I stated that I would be calling the Better Business Bureau and report the company back to American Home Shield. Beware that if you need a repair you can be placed on the manager board.
Alan came out within a few days of me reporting the problem with our washer and dryer. We have a home warranty with First American. Alan was able to identify what was wrong with both appliances, ordered the parts and within days was back out to repair them! I was very impressed with the office staff who contacted me within a day of me filing the claim, that is not typical, I almost always have to initiate a call when I put in a claim. In addition, I received a follow up call and text messages informing me of next steps. In addition, Alan gave me a 20 min heads up when he was on his way to my house. Overall, I would recommend this company and my experience with Alan was an A+!
Vladimir was very professional, fixed our appliances very quickly, would recommend
I am currently trying to get them in to repair a broken washer/dryer for a vacation rental unit. We are on our third appointment now, spanning over a month. Both previous appointments were discussed and with mention that nobody would be at the unit, as its a rental. The technician arrived, said nobody was present, and left. After the second discussion letting them know that nobody would be there, the technician supposedly arrived and said our door code wasnt working (we have a door code for non-guests). When scheduling our 3rd appointment, the dispatch operator was not friendly, nor accommodating. Theyve made us bend to their timeframe 3 times, and are yet to even have somebody see the unit.Needless to say, I would highly recommend spending your dollars elsewhere. I anticipate the repair will not go smoothly once they finally figure out how to enter the unit. If this wasnt a free fix, Id schedule literally anywhere else.
To be completely honest, I was very nervous when my warranty company assigned this company after reading many of the reviews. I even contacted the warranty company to see if I could get another contractor assigned as I had a previous negative experience with another repair company assigned by may warranty company. I was not able at that time to have another company come out, so I took my chances. In all honesty, I was very impressed with the timeliness of the companys respons to my refrigerator repair. I was contacted within 24 hours of my claim and a tech was out to my house the following afternoon. The tech, Alex, was very professional and thorough in diagnosing my repair need. He had, after extensive testing, determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. He ordered the part on a Friday, and was back Monday to replace. Now my refrigerator is working again, and I felt the need to give a positive review, as they really changed my mind on their company. Im very happy with Ava Appliance Repair and will look for them whenever I need a future repair. Just remember that every experience is going to be different, and customers generally arent happy if everything doesnt go their way, but I am very pleased with the results of this repair.
Do not go to this place. I didnt have a choice as this was selected through my insurance. The tech came and supposedly fixed my fridge. I noticed it wasnt working and all he could say is that it would take 24 hours for it to work. Here I am the next morning calling them back and did not want to come and fix it because they sent the claim out and I need to do everything with my insurance again. If it would let me leave less that a 1 star for sure I would. Avoid this place! Not professional and dont know what they are doing.
They have horrible service, the technician sent wouldn’t know how to speak English. He didn’t do the right diagnosis and left the dishwasher leaking all through the floor. Never ever use them, my home warranty sent these guys, bunch of useless folks
This guy came out and looked at our refrigerator. He had told us to thaw it out for two days so we went and bought ice chests and ice and a bunch of our food went bad. Then he shows up looks at the refrigerator and says well I don’t see water anywhere or ice anywhere so it’s hard to tell what’s actually wrong with it. He replaced a hose because he said that’s the most common thing to update but he didn’t test anything in the fridge including the thermostat or the defrost heater. I think he just replace that hose so he could say to the home warranty company that sent him out that he performed a repair. Our fridge has since frozen up twice and we are very unhappy with the service call
They came to repair the water dispenser in my fridge, and snapped the valve on the wall. Had to turn off the water, and they failed to take responsibility for snapping off the valve. Do not use this company!!!! Rude customer service from the repair tech, and customer service has failed to return my call to express my concern three days later. Will be reporting to the BBB, who ever is in charge of their contractors licenses, have already reported to my home warranty company, and am looking at pursuing legal action against them.
Nice people. Always have what I need
Technician began blaming the homeowner for causing the issues with the washer. I called the company and a supervisor Sarah stated they are obligated to send the same technician out and that he was probably speaking Russian. I requested another technician and was informed that it was not possible and that there is no one other then Sarah that I can speak to about this issue.
We needed the handle of a side by side refrigerator/freezer to be reinstalled. The technician wanted to drill two additional holes in the door of the freezer so that one handle would be lower than the other one. We wouldn’t accept that so the technician said he was report back to his manager and he would call us the next day. There was no phone call. We called the home warranty company and it turns out that the appliance repair company denied the service.
AVA Appliance Repair is the worst appliance company I have ever had to deal with. Im not sure how they are even still in business. They came out to my home for 7 visits to repair my non-working refrigerator (in a 6 week period); replaced three different parts, told me they were ordering more parts, and closed my case without completing the order. They were working with my home warranty company and continued to say it was the warranty companys fault. Unfortunately, the technician did not speak English so we were unable to communicate questions, concerns, etc. The technician also tore up my vinyl flooring when moving the refrigerator, which I also had to get repaired. The only positive thing was that they covered the cost of repair to the flooring without a hassle. Other than that, they are a huge headache and complete waste of time! My fridge is still not functioning properly and broke down almost 2 months ago.
Knowledgeable! Read reviews about this place prior to them coming out and had mixed thoughts. My experience was great!!! The gentleman was knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling was easy and they were accommodating! I wish his English was a little better but overall great service. He fixed my dishwasher and explained what I needed to do prior to using it again. Remember everyone’s experience is their own.
Sarah is unbelievable! We were trying to rectify the issue and resolve it and she hang up on me because shes insisting for me to call the Home Warranty company. That is outright rude! I called back, can you believe she said she is the supervisor and the manager and nobody is higher than her that I can speak to? no wonder you have so many bad reviews. Whoever from the company reads this, get someone that can really do her job right. Obviously shes not fit for it.
BEWARE- DO NOT ALLOW THEM IN YOUR HOME.American Home Shield sent this company to repair my non working dishwasher. The technician was at my house a total of 3 minutes, never touched or opened the dishwasher to see why it was not working and left.Their diagnosis to American Home Shield was No Mechanical FailureWhat a scam company!!!! Easy gig for Ava appliance, they collect the copayment and dont do any work.
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. STAY AWAY.My warranty company First American Home Warranty assign this company to fix my refrigerator. I had another issue which I forgot to report about cooktop. Technician told me he has taken the picture and let my warranty company call them and they can fix it. I called immediately and warranty company told me AVA Appliance refused to add it as the technician left. I was fine with that. Technician told me he will order the part for refrigerator. As soon as he left a loud noise started coming from refrigerator. I waited for more than a week and called them and I was told the part got lost and there is no ETA on this. I requested them to at least come and fix the noise because we can not sleep at night. I was told we can not come to fix the noise and we will only come when part is ready. Never ever use this company.
We had a Technician come out and stated he fixed our leaking refrigerator and then a few hours after he left the same problem persisted. While he was out he was very terse and un-communicative of the work he was doing or what the issue was overall. He also used putty to fix a broken hose. We have a $900K home that is 3 years old new home build and a $6K fridge yet putty was used to rig the fix. When we called them to have them come back out they said they would have to send the same Technician. As you might imagine, we did not want this yet they still could not accommodate a very basic customer ask on sending someone different. We denied charges and will be using someone else.
Horrible Experience--they do not know what they are doing. I had the misfortune of being assigned this company by American Home Shield. They are now coming out for the fifth time for the same repair. Rather than accepting the repairman cant fix the problem, they keep sending the same repairman. Avoid this company!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! 3 kids and we were without a washing machine for 5 weeks because these techs have no idea what theyre doing and customer service is nothing short of terrible. We filed a claim with our home warranty company for a broken washing machine and they selected AVA Appliance Repair as the company to fix it. It took them a week to get a tech out. When he finally arrived he diagnosed the problem as an issue with the mother board. He ordered a part that took another week to arrive. Then it took them another week to get back out to fix it. Hours after the tech left, the washing machine was still not working. Called another company to come in and look at it and the problem was the drain pump. We called the home warranty company who put us back in touch with AVA to come back out to fix. They refused to do so, saying we should just get another opinion. When I explained that we had and it was the drain pump - I asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady on the phone told me the supervisor refuses to speak with you and it would be better for you to go with another company and hung up. They are absolute hacks. Just look at the reviews here, tough to get a 1-star on Google Reviews unless your service is really really bad. It is.
Poor service, they gave me 1 week appt to check on Fridge, I had to go with them due to first american warranty ( who is even worse ).The fridge started to smell bad and for COVID concern, I pulled it out to the garage. They refuse to fix it and reporter back to the warranty. They never called or gave any update.Move away
There are really no words for how awful this company is, but Ill do my best to explain:As of the first week of December, we have been without a refrigerator. For some reason, the fridge was registering at 22 degrees and the ice maker stopped working. A tech came out within a few days of scheduling and determined a new ice maker was needed and a sensor needed to be replaced. The part was to take approximately 5 business days to come in, and dispatch will not schedule until the part comes in. Now, when the part comes in, they are typically 5-7 business days out, in appointments. So, each time a new part needs to be ordered, you are looking approximately 2 weeks. So, 2 weeks later, we get the same tech to come out. He replaces the sensor, but the ice maker they ordered is the wrong one. They have to order a new one. In the mean time, the repair on the sensor did not fix the solution. We wait another 2 weeks.Well, the tech came today, but only with the ice maker and claims that they have no record of the fridge still not working. We called dispatch and demanded to talk to the manager. They would not connect us. It is now January 8th, and we are STILL without a fridge.Avoid this company at all costs.
Unfortunately my experience with this company has been truly awful. My oven started overheating in Mid December. I placed an service request through my home warranty and they connected me with AVA. AVA reached out the same day and scheduled an appointment within a couple of days. Thats where the positive experience ends. The technician clearly didnt know what he was doing as he spent the majority of his time on the phone asking someone else what he should do. He took the time to mansplain that its not that they dont believe me but if I took pictures of the problem it would be easier to verify my story. He hard reset the oven and it seemed to fix the over heating problem but he left and the fan never turned off. They couldnt get me back on the schedule very quickly even though the problem was something caused by what their tech did so the fan ran for over a week straight. When he came back out he determined that it needed a new control board. That took an additional week and a half. He replaced the control board and the fan turned off but when I tried to use the oven I received an error message and it froze all of the buttons and the fan started running again. At this point they had been to my house 3 times already and Id been without an oven for almost a month. When I tried to schedule them to come out yet again there was no sympathy or priority given it was still 3 days out. When I asked for a different technician with more experience they refused. So for the fourth time the technician came out. Turned the power off and on again. Left. And my oven still isnt working. I gave up and asked the home warranty company to send an entirely different company. I would NEVER use this company again. And on top of the inept service the technician brought the acrid smell of cigarette smoke into my house and made the whole downstairs smell. I usually only post when I have positive things to say. But this experience has been so bad that I feel others need to be warned.
WOW!!!!! It has not been a pleasure dealing with this company. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatever. Tech came to service washer/dryer and broke the cap of the agitator and instead of letting us know he glued it back on he told me to wait a hour before I used the washer. Throw my first load in about 2 1/2 hours later halfway through the cycle I began hearing a banging sound. Low and behold the cap to the agitator was in the load. I immediately called the company to report the incident and asked them to do the right thing and fix it. I refused to have the same tech come because he was already dishonest. They blatantly refused to send a different tech. I am now on phone with Home Depot again to get another company out hear!!!!STAY CLEAR FROM AVA
Z E R O communication and when they do communicate it’s false. Misrepresented turn times and if your part is on back order, you will never know until you call them. When you voice your frustrations, THEY HANG UP ON YOU!!! How is this place still in business?!?!?!?!?! S T R O N G L Y discourage using this business.
This company replaced a broken ice-maker under our home warranty. 14 months later, that ice-maker no longer worked, and the company wanted to charge us again to come diagnose and fix the problem, since we were no longer under the home warranty. Shoddy work and they wont stand behind the work that they did. Dont use them, which seems to be a common theme
PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. Worst company ever. AHS hook me up with this bad company, As my washer gave us cycle noise. They send a tech his name was Alien who confirmed the bearing needs to be replaced. And it will take 5 - 6 days for ordering the part and replacing. 2 days later AHS called and refused to fix it as this issue happened due to overloading. Did I told you when he was at my house I did ask him why this issue happened, he said its normal wear and tear. Technicians are not qualified. I wish if I can give them less than one star. I told their customer service and they do have the worse customer service you probably see.
My warranty company dispatched this company to my house to examine my dishwasher that was not heating up and drying the dishes. The kid comes out and says, try using rinse aid, that should help of course it didnt so I did a recall through my warranty company. The kid comes out and says, it needs a mother board and heating element. He tells me there is no additional fee because it was a recall. The business office calls me and tells me I have to pay another $60 trade fee. I told them this was a recall and Im not paying it. They sent me a letter telling me that they will turn me over to a collection agency (which they will pay more to do than just eating the bill). It turns out the technician told the warranty company it was two different issues, I guess using Rinse Aid is an official diagnosis that takes many years of schooling to officially diagnose. I was told by several people this company does this intentionally to get an additional $60 from customers. I work for Maricopa County, I have contacted the AZ AG Office, the BBB and put this company on our bulletin board so the 15 thousand employee know not to use this dump.
I am NOT happy with this company AVA Appliance at all. I called my warranty company AHS and they sent out AVA Appliance to try to fix the washer problem, gave me a time frame between 8am-noon, the tech arrives at 1:30p.. UGH!! The problem I was having was a noise with the spinning cycles. I told the Technician that I thought it was the drum, maybe loose or something. After he was done he told me that it was a plastic piece in the back of the washer that was broken, an exhaust vent so he re-mounted it. Well... that was only some of the problem because I did ONE load and it was making a horrible noise that was so loud it was so hard to even listen. I called the company back, in a few days they had to re-schedule to come back. The same technician and stated it had been a month or so since he was there so it was a different problem. NO.. it had been 2 weeks to the day but the noise never went away it just got worse. He was there for LESS than 5 minutes and said the bearings were bad and I needed new bearings, which is an expensive fix so he was going to let the warranty company know and he will order the parts to fix it but needed to clear it with AHS first. Now 2 days later I received a call from AHS to say the technician, Gabe said the washer was in constant overload and therefore was not covered under the warranty. How does he know? No questions asked, just make stuff up! So thats it?? Case closed?? I have to find someone else to fix it? WHAT!!??? What kind of company is this? A horrible company that asked me to rate my experience so I am.
You would think with such an abundance of bad reviews, that the owner would take some action. Its either one of two things. American home shield is keeping them flush, or they’re a front for a Russian spy ring.5 weeks, 5 attempts and nothing. Washing machines aren’t that complicated. I guess the techs aren’t either. Time to go belly up people.
Im just like all the rest, guy came out odered a part took 5 days then installed it and it didnt work, guy came back out and installed another part and thats took another 5 days ....... didnt work and made it so much worse..... and AHS has 1 hour call wait times.... if you seeing this dont work with these guys and drop AHS also.
This company was assigned to us by our home warranty service - American Home Shield. We knew what the issue was: our freezers defrost heater had failed and cold air was no longer making it into the refrigerator section. This happened to our fridge about 7 years ago. At that time, a different repair company came out and took care of the repair without any problems. Not so this time. Gabe arrived on time, but in an unmarked (personal?) sedan. He took off the back panel in the freezer and said, This is gonna take 2 hours! Do you have another refrigerator? My husband and I live in a 1200 sq. ft. condo - theres no room for another fridge. When I told him no and asked why he wanted to know, he said, The evaporator coils are covered with frost and itll take me too long to defrost it. Ill replace the defrost heater, but youll have to keep the freezer off for 48 hours to let it manually defrost. Then he cut his finger on the knife he was using and was looking in my kitchen for a towel! Thankfully, I noticed that and gave him a paper towel before he could use my kitchen towel on his finger! He told us to buy $20 worth of dry ice and put it in the fridge compartment with all our frozen food while leaving the freezer door open to manually defrost. He was in a big hurry to leave. All he wouldve had to do is use a blow dryer or portable heater to melt that frost. Terrible experience!
We are currently getting our oven repaired under our home warranty and the technician has been to the house 3 times over 3 weeks to resolve the issue (1 to diagnose the issue, another week to order the part, another week to schedule him back). He showed up today to make the repair and they had ordered the wrong part, so need to reorder a new one and reschedule the repair. Let the cycle continue...
I thought that the service provided was excellent. I had a service call over the holiday weekend, and they called first thing next day. My serviceman (Allen) was actually early for his time scheduled. Everything was fixed quickly and efficiently. Allen answered all my questions, and did a great job!
Used this company on 3 different appliances through a warranty company and each time the technician had to come back multiple times to try to fix the problems. I have asked my warranty company not to send AVA Appliances out to do a job for us again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
My home warranty sent Ava repair to my house. Before they arrived I saw previous reviews and I was very skeptic. They arrived and fixed my washer and dryer within an hour and were very professional, kind, and courteous. I could’ve t have been happier.
In one word: incompetent - from the very top to the very bottom. The dispatcher is rude, ownership is not accountable, and the technician created more issues than he actually fixed. How does a company like this stay in business?
If I could give a negative star rating I would. They were assigned through a warranty company. Took 4 days to get someone out here. Tech came on a Sat. morning- had to order a part. He could not schedule the follow up appointment until the part was received. I received a notice on the FOLLOWING TUESDAY that the part had just been ordered (it took them 4 days to place an order for the part...).Received a call to schedule the follow up appt. Had to wait another 4 days for the appt. The tech came, replaced the part. Nothing changed- the appliance is working exactly as it was 2 weeks ago- NOT FIXED.I called AVA back. They said since the work order had been completed that they need another order from the warranty company to continue. The person who answered the phone was rude when explaining this.I called the warranty company- suggested that they remove them from their list of vendors.
This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. The technician came to fix our microwave and had to replace the door due to a broken spring. He stated job was complete and left. I went to use the microwave and it doesn’t work at all. I called the co and they said they’d be back in 5 days! They also said he only replaced the door and it could not have impacted the microwave. Horrible company!
’ve called and left a message but have yet to receive a return call. One of your technicians by the name Nick came to my house to look / repair 4 items that had been called in.I was charged $400,- and your technician hasn’t done any of work.He stated that there is nothing wrong with the washer, small fridge and the dishwasherHe also argued that we don’t know if the oven was broken or not and that there is nothing wrong. He furthermore forced my oldest son / which is still a minor to sign since my wife had to pick up the younger kids and that was after my wife stated she would not sign for work that hadn’t been done
Terrible costume service!! They gave me a 6 hour window for arrival time and required payment of my service call fee in advance, not when the service was rendered. They didnt fix my refrigerator right the first time, by the time they rescheduled I would have been 11 days without a refrigerator. They didnt care. I complained to the home warranty company and requested a different service company. At least they were understanding. If you have a choice, pass this company by!
Had appointment and I called to confirm, was told my house was repairmans next stop. He never showed. Husband took half day off work. We lost money and didnt get repair done. I would give less than 1 star if I could. Sarah was rude when I called next day. She said appointment was for Thursday not Wednesday. I explained that I called to confirm for Wednesday and was told we are his next stop. I do not do business with rude people who inadvertently call me a liar. This place Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
So far its been a good experience. My fridge stopped working I went through AHS Monday night. AVA called first thing Tuesday and they offered me Friday, but called me back and got me in a day earlier, which was nice. They were on time for both appointments. Came out Thursday, diagnosed, ordered a part, called Friday to come out Saturday and finish the repair. The manager came Saturday to train his guy on the repair.IF the repair holds, I will have no complaints with AVA, other than I wished they could have got me in same day so that I didnt lose all my food... I dont blame them for that though, and being they did make the extra effort to get me in earlier than originally anticipated, I think they did their best.Friendly staff, called me first thing every day for scheduling, on time... No issues.
AVA was referred to me by my home warranty company to fix a microwave. The first appointment to just evaluate the microwave was over a week out. I was annoyed, but okay with it since it was the holiday season. Then she gave me my time window. Sometime within 12pm-6pm. They would call me when they were on their way??? WHAT??? So I would have to take a day off work because you cannot give me a two hour window. Pass. Oh, and to top it off, the receptionist was extremely rude.
I had a great experience - they were assigned through my home warranty. My washer broke and was down for 3 weeks due to back ordered parts from the warranty company. I probably bugged Kelly three times a week for an update and she was always friendly and patient and checked for me. When the parts did come in, they were on time, friendly, tidy and completely fixed the issue. I would definitely use Ava appliance repair again - thanks!
Can I give them less stars? I never write reviews. But I had to on this one. I bought a warranty with my dishwasher from Home Depot and when I had an issue with my dishwasher i immediately tried to put the warranty I bought to good use and called Home Depot. They set me up with this joke of a company, scheduled me an appointment a weekend and a half away and I thought we were set. Wasn’t a fan of how long I would have to go without my dishwasher but I got over it. Then I ended up needing to reschedule my appointment and when I called they told me my appointment had already been canceled due to me giving them the wrong model number for my dishwasher. Did anyone reach out to me ahead of time? Nope. So I had to schedule another appointment a week and a half out. So now I’m without it for 3 weeks so far. The day finally come and the technician comes out, he came on time and was super nice which was great but he spent about 90 seconds just staring at the dishwasher and said it needs a new drain pump. Only to find out I’d have to wait another week to for them to get the part since they didn’t keep one in their truck and didn’t even try to find one in the valley that they could go get. So I wait a week, for them to call me to schedule the appointment. (Going on now 4 weeks with no working dishwasher now) and then I have to wait another week for them to even come out to replace the part. The same technician came out and he replaces and turns it on and stares at the dishwasher for a minute then says “alright I think it’s working, let me know if you have any other problems with it” he didn’t even stick around to see if the issues was even resolved. Well guess what, didn’t fix my problem. So I am going on 5 weeks now without a working dishwasher. Instead of calling them back I figured I’d take a look to see if I could fix the problem and sure enough I fixed it myself within about 5 minutes. So clearly these guys don’t really care about being thorough. They just want to act like they did something and collect payment on it. I’m just glad I didn’t have to pay for them to come out. But I’m glad I know that when my warranty is up I am NEVER going to call these guys again. Now I see why all of the other reviews are so bad. Cause it’s true! Anyone that marks a good review is probably related to the people that work here or they got some kind of kickback for it.
Took them 4 appointments for a simple fix on a dishwasher. Complete incompetence and lack of professionalism.
Ouch! This technician was not capable of fixing the ice maker, he had to call the office back to ask what to do..they told him to turn the ref.off for 10 mins.Well that is certainly not fixing a broken part! He was very unprofessionally dressed and drove his or someone elses car..no tools etc..As you may know AHS will make you use them again to see if a SENIOR tech can fix..before they will assign another company..If you read reviews and dont pay attention to them you should this one, or if you dont perhaps you should not bother with reviews.
Ok, so this is the tale of two experiences. Was super frustrated because the tech didn’t come during the hours we discussed with the company. I left a very angry message while waiting, so I felt it was only fair that I follow-up with this review. When our tech did arrive he was professional and went above and beyond to get the job done right. If you have to work with this company ask for Michael to come out and you won’t be disappointed. Have had other techs come to my home that do as little as possible to get the job done, and this was not the case with Michael.
Home Depot extended warranty assigned AVA Appliance Repair to service my dryer. It was drying really hot and causing everything to wrinkle. Wynn came out on a Friday afternoon. He pulls up in a car (not a company logo vehicle), in a golf outfit and without any tools. He doesn’t even touch the dryer. He indicates that there is nothing he can do to fix the dyer, yet doesn’t even touch it. There is a diagnosis feature that he doesn’t even try. He said I need to call back Home Depot and tell them and that his report will indicate such. The next week, I follow his directions. I get a return call from Home Depot indicating his report said “I leave the clothes sitting in the dryer and that is the cause.” I took a half day off work to have my dryer not even touched! I absolutely do NOT leave my clothes sitting in the dryer! I already had one part replaced and there is still an issue. However, how would you know that when you show up to a service call and DO NOT even touch the machine! He just looked at it from across the room and said there is nothing he can do! AGAIN, there is a diagnosis feature he didn’t even try that I did telephonically with LG (I called them after this incident) and they indicate there is an issue with the machine! I hope Wynn had fun golfing while I wasted my day out of work and now need to have another opinion come out, taking me another day out of work.
The guy that came out to fix my dryer, said he fixed. And the next day when I went toi use made the same noise. Then they lied to America Home Warranty co, and said they fixed it. Think twice about using this company.
Just awful! Poor customer service out twice and our fridge still only cools but never gets cold. After 2 visits and hours waisted waiting for them to show up. The Tech left and absolute mess on our kitchen floor. Did not put anything down to keep anything clean. Best part the firdge is still broken. Calls to them were greeted with no interest in getting the job right on both times they failed to make the repairs. Customer service laughed when I told them it still was not fixed and the woman should not be in customer service. Calls to landmark home warranties were not much help. How does a company sub contract a place like this who clearly can not do the job.
My home warranty company chose this contractor to fix my washing machine. They referred me to AVA Apliance. It took 4 days to get them to come out. After moving my appointments around so I could be home for the service call, the man was late. He was nice enough, spent 15 min and said I needed a new motor. He said he would be back in 3-5 days. Today is day 6 so I finally called. Im told the part will be in tomorrow but they wont install for another week. If you need service in a timely manner do NOT use this company. They took my washer apart and now Im stuck with them. I would run, not walk away from this company. Side note: I asked the gal (Sarah)who does their phone work if I could please talk to a manager. She said no and refused to let me talk to anyone but her.
Was referred to AVA for warranty work. First appointment, diagnosis malfunctioning washing machine and order parts. Second appointment, install part. Washing machine still malfunctioning. Called them to talk to technician and was told I need a new appointment to diagnose again, because that’s their policy. Are you kidding me, take more time off of work because your policy is to not let me talk to the technician?Horrible customer service by Sarah and Joann when I asked to speak to a supervisor or owner of the company (“Boggan”). Be accountable for your mistakes, instead of blaming the warranty company.I would steer clear of this company.
Worst customer service. Sending wrong electrical switch to replace for oven range four times and they don’t care about customer safety. That could have resulted in major electrical accident
Worst warranty experience - Home Depot please stop using this company! My $3500 refrigerator decided to stop cooling over the 4th of July. The extended warranty plan I purchase with Home Depot was unable to locate my information (of course) even though I had every single receipt for the 5 year plan - and had provided it to them. So 4 days later, Monday, Asurion finally finds the info and sets me up with a vendor ( mind you I have spent about 2.5 hours on the phone at this time). The vendor AVA Appliance Repair LLC sets up an appointment for another 4 days later- Thursday. So the service tech Sergiys came out and looked at my refrigerator for about 5 minutes and said the sensors were bad and he needs to order them (of course) soooo wait for days again....! July 18th Sergiys came out to install the part - mind you 2 WEEKS LATER. And guess what, the part did not fix the issue. I called same day to tell them they tried to tell me the defrost was running on fridge and it could take 24 hours for it to cool down. So this morning, 19th, I call AVA again, the young lady answering the phone gave me a hard time at 1st, telling me she already instructed me to call Home Depot back -ended up that she was mistaken - but love that customer service- rude. Basically, today is day 15 of my saga with Home Depot, Asurion, and now a brand new vendor since I had to start over again with a completely new work order request. Home Depot said there is nothing they can do for me. Asurion doesnt care. AVA Appliance Repair is just awful and rude. So just a word of advice to consumers - Do not purchase a major appliance with warranty assuming that this big box store cares- you are just another number.
AVA recently came out to do repairs on both our oven and freezer. Their technician - Armen - was on time, professional and very knowledgable. We would definately use them again
2 months to get fridge repaired, rude receptionist!
COMPLETE SCAM, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICE.AVA has come to my residence three times to fix aN ice maker and the ice maker door.First time they tried to rig the door by drilling the hinge and re-positioning the door, this fail.Second time they came back and applied loctite to the same hinge, this later failed.Third visit on 09/22, they came back looked at the door, and the technician said the door was unrepairable and they would recommend to replace the entire refrigerator door and send this information to the warranty company.Today when I spoke to customer service, I was told only one visit was documented and no notes of replacement was ever documented by the Technician. All they did was stonewall and say we need a Senior Technician has to come look at the door issue, which they claimed the warranty company asked for. This is a complete lie after I contacted the home warranty company only to find out AVA NEVER sent any report to American Home Shield.Sarah with AVA even tried to tell me that on the last visit the issue was fixed.... How could that be if the technician told me it couldnt be fixed and I could put the tape back on the door that was holding it closed? The home warranty company is not to blame, they even told me that if AVA would just send the report stating the door cant be repaired they would take the next steps to replace the door or the entire unit.Asked for a supervisor or to speak to the Technician, guess what they are in a meeting and the Technician cant be reached since he is in the field. What a joke. Again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Consumer service in this company is horrible. The dispatch operator needs to be retained I how to speak to people. She is abrupt, rude and needs to figure out how to soak as an adult and get some people skills before she answers another call. I wouldnt have her as an employee for me if she was paying me to work.
Never posted a complaint before but so mad at this 100% FRAUD!! Have warranty with American Home Shield and washing machine broke down. They sent out Gabe with Ava Appliance who was very nice however he said he was unable to do a real inspection because ours is a stackable and said he alone would be unable to pull it away from the wall safely to do an inspection however he said the noise it was making sounded like the bearings needed to be replaced and so he would order that part and then come back in a few days with another person to help him do the repair. He then asked what was the last load we washed and I told him just a couple of blankets. To be very clear he didnt ask any questions about the blankets or ask to see them. After not hearing anything for over a week I called AVA and they refused to talk to me and just told me I needed to talk of American Home Shield for status. When I called them I learned that AVA told them to deny my claim because they did a full inspection and found out we overloaded our washer with a Very Large Blanket. I told them that for one he did NOT do any inspection and for two that it was two indian blankets (which are about the size of a beach towel) which didnt even fill the washer up half way . Found out that AVA is paid a flat fee for the visit and the first 3 hours of work and that because of this they find up a reason, or in my case make it up, to turn down the claim that way they can get in and out ASAP and get paid. When I told my neighbor about what happened I was shocked to hear that several months ago had a very similar story but with his dryer. Liars and fraudsters
No Training and rude employees! My original call was to repair an ice maker that continued to freeze up and had a broken mullion. During the repair the tech broke the ice maker and used zip ties to hold it together.
Horrible service. Incompetent technicians. Showed up in personal cars. Not able to fix my appliance in 3 visits. 9 days had pass and now wating for a SENIOR TECHNICIAN.
Horrible company. communication sucks. knowledge is just as bad. stay away.
Do not use this company if you value your time, property, or intelligence.
They are the company my home warranty sent to fix my LG fridge. They called and a Monday and said they could be at my house till Friday. I told them that would work for me because I did have a fridge. They all of a sudden had a Wendsday appointment. Wendsday rolled around and they came. Determined It was a compressor, told me it would be 3-5 business day for the part to arrive. The next Monday was a holiday so I new it wouldnt be then. So at best it would be another week before the part even got in. I waited the week didnt hear back from anyone so called them. The informed me that they put the request to my home warranty but never heard back from them so the part was never ordered. Another week with no fridge goes by before the part gets in. They schedule another appointment to install part. After they install fridge worked for about a week before it broke again. I called my home warranty company and they reopened the ticket so I get AVA again. Not trilled but ok. Again the call and tell me it will be 6 days before the can come look at my fridge. Again a tell them that really doesnt work for me since I dont have a fridge. Again something opens up a Wendsday but the window is from noon-6:30. Wendsday rolls around and Im home waiting all day for them. I dont hear anything from them so I call at 3pm. The dispatch tells me there is one more person in front of me. The technician finocalled at 6:15pm to tell me hes at least 45min from my house at best. I tell him that doesnt work for me, but can he come tomorrow. He said yes Ill have my office call you first thing. Well the next day I didnt get a call till noon, not first thing, and they tell me they dont have any more appointments open for 3 more days, a Saturday, from noon to six. Still dont have a working fridge just hoping nothing has to be order. All in all I could never recommend this company to anyone. If your warranty company tryies tonsend them request someone else of you can.
AVA (Bogdan was the person who worked on my Appliance) was very professional and always called before coming to my house. Bogdan was always on time and if he had a slight delay either he or Sarah in the office would call to let me know. That kind of customer service is always a welcome way to do business with the public. My Samsung (Hi $$) refrigerator had a few issues that AVA was able to repair. The only reason it took a little longer was due to the parts having to be ordered and arriving. Since it was not a critical issue, we did not mind that it took time. I am sure if it were critical, AVA would have had the parts shipped overnight. Bogdan also brought 2 other technicians in training with him and they too were extremely professional while here.
Worst company ever. Technicians are not qualified.
Home warranties are a scam. They collaborate with shady contractors like this one to avoid fixing the stuff they supposedly warrantee.
I see on Yelp this company has 1 star, well on Google theyll have another negative review.Absolutely unprofessional, I dont ever go out of my way to complain but goodness this company needs guidance and direction. They sent some guy named Illya out to my girlfriends residence. First off he pulls up in an unmarked car (no company logo), mind you there are 2 cars parked at the house. For SOME reason he feels the need to start peeking through my girls windows into the house! Apparently looked like a creeper so much that the freaking neighbors were concerned and went over to make sure everything was okay!2nd thing that pisses me off, he was unprofessional and extremely short with my girlfriend, telling her essentially she doesnt know how to work a washer machine and that we use too much soap (even though she fills it to the line--as any normal person who can follow directions would). Im sorry but you dont treat people with lack of respect, after he finished the job she goes to put a load in of course, and the damn washer is broken! There is water everywhere in the room, the washer is no longer spinning or draining. So she does whats appropriate, calls AVA back and lets them know Illya didnt do his job and that she needs it fixed. They say they cant get back out to her until Wednesday next week??! Mind you its Friday at noon, but you cant come until Wednesday??Not only did Illya freak the neighbors out acting like a creeper, he spent 20 minutes on the job, was disrespectful and actually messed the washer up 3xs worse than what it was already, but the customer service when she called back to let them know what happened was that worthy of an F-.....I will be complaining to the BBB as well AVA, with that kind of staff I dont believe you are equipped mentally to provide in home services.ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY.
Apsulately terrible company to deal with. Do not use them. No training whatsoever.
Friendly, communicative and reliable.
They sent someone with a doctors appointment who didnt finish the job.
Horrible customer service and the technician came 4 times and never fixed the issue. 1st American Home Warranty uses this appliance co for repairs. They should sever ties right away.
Trash service
Probably the worst technician experience Ive ever encountered, Ive only just discovered his shoddy work a few months after the fact because my refrigerator stopped working again. After he replaced our compressor the first time, it stopped working after a couple of days and made loud noises. We called him back and he came to fix it again. Here we are a few months later, without a working refrigerator because its leaking Freon from his shoddy welds and we are told the compressor needs replaced again. Apparently, to fix the loud noise he wrapped coils in paper towels. This is a huge safety hazard, not to mention having to replace this stuff all over and without a working refrigerator.
