I love a bookstore and Barnes and Noble checks that box. Great selection, very nice coffee area, lots of staff members to help out. Stop in and buy a few books, you will be better for it.

Today The Umbrellas of Cherbourg comes to mind in this constantly kept-up outdoor mall with misters, and colorful umbrellas that have been recently added.Most of what you need is here, with some lovely areas to relax in...often missing in shopping and eating locations.Everything from a car wash to a great lunch a movie, and an entertaining book can be had here with plenty of parking available.I enjoy the younger vibe of discovery and excitement here that I find missing in many places in the valley today.

Didnt find my book.But my fault forgot the autors name.Am going back. They were very helpful but I didnt have correct i fo.

I like going there. However, bathrooms are always clean and could use a remodeling.

Dont get me wrong I ADORE Barnes & Noble, its my favorite book store. But I will say the amount of staff on shift at any given time is hit or miss. But I will also say once you are able to find someone to help you find something specific, they are always friendly and quick to help out. Sometimes if it isnt busy, usually they have the two geek out about books with you lol. 😉

I love Barnes & Noble as a general rule, but this store is really well-kept and organized. Staff are friendly. This location feels like a social hub with other readers browsing around. Check out their “Blind Date With A Book” display at customer service (pictured). Not sure if it’s a permanent feature or just a special thing for Valentine’s weekend but I loved this concept.

I go to Barnes and Nobles to read the romance manga and sit in the Starbucks bc its cheaper and more effective than therapy

This location and the store itself is perfect. I love how large the Barnes and Noble store is and the layout is spaced nicely (Ive been to others where spacing can be right depending on the section youre visiting)Im this case Manga (was packed with fans) but the layout is simple and easy to find which section youre looking for. Restrooms are near the board game and coloring section if lost and in a rush lol. For me its a little bit of a drive but Ill definitely be returning as it was surprisingly quiet with the amount of people in store. I went on a Sunday early afternoon.

Barnes and Noble is still sticking around. Plenty of books to choose from with good selection from all sorts of categories.

Very nice quite facility, great children selection and toys. Have a good selection of anime. Restroom and facility are very clean. Starbucks is tasty and service there awesome!

They are a good book store and have good music vinyl and can plus they have moviies.

I had a great customer service. Went to the Chandler store and the book I wanted was out of stock. The customer service representative (sorry, didnt get her name, very kind young lady) called the store at Tempe Market Place where it was in stock. Very easy to place a hold and get the book from the other store same day. 👍☺

Had a nice selection of manga, which is why I went. I was happy with the cleanliness and organization of the store.

In the past I was able to find many books to purchase in languages, dictionaries, and other interests. It was frustrating to try and find anything from misfiring and customers dropping things everywhere. If staff had been able to straighten the store out I probably could have purchased double the number of books

So many books. Theres a whole section for manga, and I saw some Ive never seen before.Also, there was this section that has Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts merchandise. I wish I could have bought many things from there, but I couldnt at the time.

:( I don’t go to Starbucks often, I work a lot & stopped by but the guy with curly hair here was just really rude & mean. Idk maybe I didn’t talk fast enough & didn’t know where to stand but I’m never going back it was the worst experience. I get there’s a lot of people who are mean to them but he just seemed so angry & I honestly said only 3 sentences to him .

I always find tons of manga that most stores doesnt have. Its well organized and the books is perfect condition. No dent or torn pages.

Excellent selection, easy to navigate. Very clean store and, luckily, everyone was wearing a mask. I found some lovely gifts and always love to visit when Im in town

B&N was a familiar and welcome sight. Music and note cards, and they offer the latest new releases. Smells like paper and ink. Very civilized!

OMG, its a good thing we dont go to Barnes and Nobles often. Went to check on a book, and left with nearly a dozen. We love this company, and always have to be careful about how much we can spend in a single visit. Will definitely be back again and again.

Good selection of books, graphic novels, Magna books. High traffic zone so be carefull. Very helpful associates, have some toys also.

This location is poorly managed. Posted 2 different signs for hours? Closed their doors at 8pm on a Saturday night. I recommend the store manager please read their signs.

Friendly and staff are know how to really help you, refreshing to know that people still like magazines and books. Sometimes its nice to come up for fresh air & drink a coffee or tea and look through what they have.

It was easy to find in Tempe Marketplace (unlike some of the other stores in the plaza). Right from Rio Salado, a turn onto S Perry and bam- there it was!Huge building, nice exterior design and it is kept very clean both inside and out. It was nice how each section was labeled by the general category, i.e. Nonfiction, Fiction, etc. Unfortunately, prices are a bit higher here it feels than on Amazon for some books. The upside is I did come upon some brand new books that I had not yet seem in the public library nor in Amazon- really huge selection of books here!The only issue was I was not sure how the books were sorted on the shelves after I found the general category. Not sure if it was by author or title.. Therefore, it was a bit hard to find the book I was looking for. I didnt see any computer like the ones you see in library to help you locate the shelf to go too, nor did I see any employees roaming around.I ended up going to the Customer Service desk. The lady there was quick and helpful. Ditto for the checkout lady.Finally, I really did like their selection of gifts and notebooks by the cash register. Ive never seen notebooks or journals as cute or as creative or pretty as the ones sold here.

Employees were absolutely amazing, they answered all of my questions without hesitation. These folks helped me find all of the books that I needed, plus the ease of access to all the reference materials made this just a great atmosphere to shop in. My family and I will be back to shop more again this week!

Met with a friend and got a book that I am using to reacquaint myself with 🎨 painting watercolor days, and the latest products to use.

Not the best customer service experience. Stood in line waiting to check out and not.once did cashier acknowledge presence or give any regards to the lengthy wait.

I’ve been to this location many times, and each time has been pleasant and easy. Today, however, was a fine experience all the way up until it was time to check out.Our cashier was April G, and she had THE WORST attitude I’ve ever seen come from a cashier. She rattled off “you save with our membership” in that “I’m being forced to say this” kinda way, and I couldn’t understand her and had to ask for clarification twice. By the third time, she was irate and I could tell what an inconvenience I was to her by the way she interacted with me.She put the receipt in my bag, it fell out, and she angrily shoved it back in and we were off.Overall, this is a good place to shop, just make sure to avoid service from April. (We had to walk back through afterward, and she was on her phone or reading a book, so clearly my presence was an inconvenience)Would have rated 5

I love coming here! Sometimes the prices dont compete with other retail options but the staff and environment is friendly and giving yourself a treat is a necessity sometimes.

I like this location because its in a outside mall strip. This my primary location buying my manga titles and art books. Membership makes it worth it for in person and online shopping.

Took my 6 year old grandson to Starbucks there. Clean and well spaced to follow guidelines. Really fun merchandise for Christmas. Great childrens books and lots of Lego kits.

We put two little tables together and away from their little pony wall because right at head level there’s another table about a foot away on the other side (which to me totally negates social distancing but Karen was soon to set me straight).“You two can’t study here and you can’t join tables!” she snarles. (I’m a business owner and my fiancé is a lawyer but I’ll take the compliments on my age where I can)“I’m happy to go get some more drinks at the counter,” I say.“No! We can’t have you two taking up all the space! Plus there’s social distancing!”I peer around the half empty coffee shop. More people leqving than coming at 2pm on Thursday.“We know each other though”“That’s not how distancing works!” She points at where the small table I moved once was. The guy sitting directly on the other side of the pony wall turns his head and winks. His exposed nostrils flare, beckoning us back to him.“The times before covid are gone! We have signs now on either side of our shop displaying all I have stated!” (The signs don’t mention the immobility of tables or that studying is now illegal in bookstores.)We could see in her eyes there was no reaching her. We left before she could call the manager on herself.Been going there 10 years...I buy books there regularly. Maybe I’ll just browse there and buy on Amazon for a while.

Oh this place is so much better than any therapist couch! I can find so much peace and entertainment browsing the shelves. They have a small coffee shop inside and plenty of gifts.
