First time trying this coffee house. The Bella Mocha hit the spot. Not too sweet... you can taste the chocolate and espresso easily instead of being overwhelmed with sugar. I tried the cinnamon roll. It was pretty dry, cinnamon not really coming through very well and the icing was super sweet. I felt like it was trying to hide the poor flavor of the actual roll. Little hard to see the location but the stream of people made it ready. Really busy at 8am on a Saturday. Customer service was good. Ill definitely go back when Im in the neighborhood.

I love my coffee from here. The baristas know my order right when I come in. They have a variety of syrup flavors & milk options. Oat, regular, soy, etc are there for your choosing. Regarding the flavor syrups, they also sell them!

Very good coffee, very nice staff.

It is a small shop with just a couple of tables inside. What my friends and I especially like are the outdoors seating when we meet together there. The Barista is very pleasant and service is good.

Ive gotten the Japanese cherry Sakura twice now and its the best. I requested some steamed coconut milk and it was made with no problems. Come check this place out and order some delicious tea or coffee!

I have wanted to try this place for a while and wondered if theyd live up to the great reviews. They really did. The drinks were very good and the bear claw pastry was amazing. The service was very friendly and quick. There is currently only outdoor seating I think.

Seattle Espresso is that absolute best. We have been going here and the one that used to be at Val Vista and Guadalupe for over 20 years. Great service and the best espresso anywhere!

Great little coffee shop in Southeast Tempe. Tucked away in the corner Plaza with Rigitonys. Great friendly and cute Baristas. Wonderful pastries and coffees with limited outdoor seating for now.

If you are going to have espresso in your name, you should focus on having good espresso.like so many coffee shops, the staff are trained to pull a series of levers - as opposed to being a barista that will analyze the extractions and make adjustments to the grind and amount of grounds/shot.I ordered a cortado - and the staff wasnt too sure about dose - and did not immediately wipe off the steam wand after use???? the espresso in the cortado was woefully under extracted and not drinkable.Im sure that the lattes and other drinks are ok because of the dilution with milk and other flavorings - but if you want just an espresso - go somewhere else.

No idea what it was....but cant seem to shake off the feeling that the staff was not much interested in serving me. No acknowledgement of my presence even when I was standing right at the counter after following the queue, and was simply waiting there while the young woman kept talking to this other customer on the other side. People seemed to know each other here and had an elitist vibe going, and somehow looked like new people like me are not much welcome and probably need to earn the entry here. Honestly, I wanted to check this place out as I wanted to go local, and this place has great reviews - but sorry, not coming back to deal with the snobbery. Id rather go to the chain cafes where at least the staff makes sure you are taken care of.One more thing, whats with the local cafes here - no masks or gloves when we are still dealing with COVID?

The White Russian is literally the best coffee I’ve ever had. The expresso is so smooth and dos t taste overly strong or gross or BURNT (like some popular coffee spots 🙄). And the employees here are always super chill and helpful. Side note - bring cash for tips!

After going to Starbucks for the past several years my friend suggested meeting here and what a breath of fresh air it was. Very courteous kind people with great drinks and phenomenal coffee. A beautiful outside seating area right next to a water fountain as well

I had an Americano and I can say that it was one of the best I have ever tasted. As an avid coffee drinkers I was very pleased. They use Italian Illy products. I also had a pastry which was generous in size and tasted great. The interior has limited seating. Friendly staff. A must!

The entire experience was great!! The gentleman making the drinks was working at a very fast, but very precise pace when I entered. Was very nice when he greeted me. When he took my order, he confirmed it with me before making it. I ordered a coffee made with soy. For the first time ever, I was asked if I ordered soy because of an allergy. For me, this was a blessing, most people dont ask and I have a severe allergy to milk. I thanked him for it. He immediately moved all the dairy products away from where he was working on my coffee and told me he wanted to make sure I wouldnt have a bad day after having coffee from there. He made the coffee very quickly and it was delicious!! This place deserves all the stars it could possibly get!

Pretty good coffee place. I asked for an Earl Grey Tea latte and their tea is amazing! My friend said her Mocha was delicious too. Not sure if Id go back simply because the atmosphere is very blah and its so small theres not really much to look at or enjoy. Im sure itd make a nice quick stop coffee place.

Really nice! We work out at the gym nearby and didnt even know this place was here. The people were really nice and the iced mocha was REALLY good. Its a little cramped and yet somehow still gives off that cozy vibe. A great substitute for the cookie cutter Dunkin or Starbucks experience. Itd be nice if there were a few more food options, but overall a great little coffee spot.

I love tea so I’m always looking for new places to try. Their loose leaf tea is fantastic and flavorful. I had the hot herbal fruit tea and it was great. The reason I deducted a star was because the water was so hot I burnt my tongue.

HANDS DOWN - BEST COFFEE SHOP IN TOWN! I have 3 different coffee options to choose from at work - all by different companies - and I refuse to drink any of them because Seattle Espresso is so close and so much better! Bring your own cup -- not required, but highly recommended!

Definitely a token hole in the wall coffee spot. Been around Tempe forever, and theres solid reason why.. the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, even if its crowded, the staff never have a bad thing to say, and their cold brew is just the right amount of gritty 😎

Best coffee I have had in the Phoenix valley. Its ridiculously good and puts the chains to shame. All I had was a drip coffee so I imagine there fancier drinks are spectacular. If you are close by and like coffee, do yourself a favor and stop by. You wont regret it.

Must be the Illy beans... Smooth! The service is excellent too! Ive been going here for over 15 years and its always great. They dont allow tipping on your receipt, so bring an extra buck or two if you can. These kids do a great job and some are in college. They have a great selection of tea and italian soda too, if coffee isnt your thing. Just a great little shop.

I like the consistency of their end product. A constant flow of customers but never waited more than 3-4 minutes. I stop in every Sat morning.

Does it get any better than Seattle? I have been coming here since I was little and I havent found a better coffee shop yet. The staff has always been unique and welcoming, and the drinks they make are always top notch. White Russians forever! Wish they had sticker decals or shirts!

Nice little coffee shop thats hidden away and offers some unique drinks. Pastries are great. Some of their drinks take a while and they only have 1 barista so dont expect to get a quick drink.

I have order from here for a few months now. First it was their tea, but I went back go lattes with almond milk and agave. I love this place! Their service is always great, the line of barista dudes is nice. They also have a selection of pastires that I have not tried as I am a vegan. If only they added some vegan options. Otherwise its a 5 star for me!

Great coffee and a decent atmosphere. However, very little seating inside. Not a big deal unless its the summer. Theres also a bit of a cliquey vibe to the place. If youre new/not a regular it just feels off.

The barristas are friendly, the coffee is better than any other place’s I’ve had, it’s reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Can’t say enough great things about this place! Love it!

I always get an iced lattee here. The espresso is really good and creamy. Probably my favorite place to grab a lattee. I also like the friendly people and atmosphere. Plus if youre hipstery, you can buy the art on the walls. They also sell coffee grounds to take.

Its 1:18am in the morning and I cant sleep because the person behind the counter at Seattle Espresso shop sold me a caffeinated drink when I requested decaf. At least I have time to make this review. My sensitivity to caffeine and the lack of care of the occasional barista adds up to this experience a few times a year. Also, It lacked flavor and I threw it out half finished so I should get some sleep in an hour. I got back from a 12 day tour to Italy and not a single barista there missed the mark. Even with the language difficulty and their cultural distaste for decaf drinks. Italy has real respect and professionalism. This sucks

Love coffee drinks! This would have a 5 star rating if they did what i wish. Wish there was a better environment, better outlets for laptops, and better wifi that works for all laptops. Ive been to three locations and think the same about all of them. Time to remodel the interior and electric outlets and redo your wifi option.

Fantastic old school coffee shop. Great baristas, delicious drinks and community atmosphere. One of my faves.Theyre known for their iced white russian, which Id describe as a cinnamon toast crunch latte. Yummy but too sweet for my buds. If youre a chocolate lover, try the iced bella mocha, a dark-chocolate iced mocha. Im a fan of their Toddy too. Note that its not nitrogenated like (what seems like) most cold brews, and so it wont have that bright, acidic flavor, but I really enjoy its dark-sweet character.
