Food city is my go to place for grocery shopping for the past five years. They offer everything, including packaged products, at best prices. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and cordial and they almost became my friends. I got to know that this store is going to permanently closed in a few days, which is sad. I greatly miss this place and people!

This location has been very good for decades. I appreciate stores that dont regularly remodel with no advantage added for shoppers. Many markets have come and gone. Friends are actually enthusiastic about Food City Markets. I cant recall a single other market being mentioned or saddened with their closings.As I came in I saw Mario the manager collecting carts in the parking lot. He also grabbed a Dollar Store cart for. For myself that says a lot about Food CityI then saw a store closing store. That is an additional indicator of Food City actually caring. A few days ago I drove to a phone store. It is now closed but no sign similar signage as with Food City.

This is the closest grocery story for many University students. It is smaller than most other Food City that I have been in. Grocery carts were before the front door on the right in the parking lot. The beggar guy was planted by the bicycle rack still begging for money. I feared he was an alcoholic. So I ignored him. I found a great assortment of fresh produce. The white onions were hugh. Back in the meat/deli area the fish were clear eyed and fresh looking too. The bakery had a great selection of donuts and cakes for your celebrations. I liked that the dairy was immediately across from the bakery so you can grab that cheese eggs and milk quick and easy. I ended up getting more than I had planned on. There were great deals in this store. I did get a sense that store people were following and keeping an eye on me and my daughter. It was good to see that there were women employees about which kept it from getting creepy.There were piñatas and a good selection of tortillas and Mexican seasonings. Large meat portions were offered in the butcher department. This is a great place to pick up party supplies on your way to near by parks. They also have a nice selection of flower bouquets that included roses. I liked that they have a bag recycling area at the end of the register nearest to the door. The doors open automatically which is great for handicapped people. The isles are on the narrow side.

I was actually at Dollar General, next to food city. It had been over a year since Ive shopped there. It was well after 8 pm, and the store closing, was fast approaching. I was able to find everything I was looking for and more, as my nephew would say. The employees were so kind, accommodating, with an awesome cheerful disposition.It wasnt my intention to shop there, but Im glad we had.The store was filled with new items on the shelf, front to back.I will definitely go back. (Smiling).

Great Store! Fresh produce! Low prices! Great Customer Service! There is not a lot of parking available at this shopping center.

I am here almost daily for fresh, inexpensive produce! This store is across from the lightrail. There are some homeless who linger outside, but the staff is always professional. My only complaint is that they do not carry vegetable broth. If youre a vegetarian though, they have a nice selection of canned beans and spices.

Most of groceries and vegetables/foods are available with resolvable price. I found it even better than Walmart for some cases.

So I stopped by this one near Mc Clintock in Tempe. Its location right by the rail made it inviting as I wasnt close to home and still had some more walking and bus ride with my couple of bags once I left. Anyhoot, the produce really caught my eye and everything was phat and fresh. The bananas have good flavor. The music in the back ground was cool and so was the produce guy!! The check out lady was very friendly & pleasant and not rushy!! If I was a local in the neighborhood thatd be my store!! Felt safe in the area due to Police vehicles around the corner in parking lot!

Great for picking up a quick gallon of milk or if your making tamales they have everything you need

For a little whole in the wall grocery store it has the cheapest meat by price bar none and I took a great too. The deli is great. All homemade food they serve. Mom of that canned stuff or box upeals. Like I said its small but its good. Lucky for the kids at ASU just a walking distance away for good grub and fair pricing. Enjoy.

I have to say that my experience at any food city is the same as the one I have in Scottsdale. I say have, because I go back. Food City is a good solid store with some savings here and there here but obviously Food City excels at the needs of a more Hispanic clientele but every time I go there, Im totally amazed by how many spices they have. Your food city is using spices as their crutch theyre going to be walking on over an unimaginably long time. Viva Food City!

I shop here its a little weird looking but its good and kinda cheap

This was the sketchiest store Ive ever been in. Some guys were mocking customers coming inside and whistling at women walking by while the security guard was just chilling inside the store. Inside was a lot of interesting characters and when I left a homeless guy was begging everyone for money right outside the doors. Prices were low but not a safe place for families to go anywhere near.

With it being the nearest grocery store to me I definitely visit this store most often, but that is also partly because it usually has what I need when I need it. The staff Ive gotten help from are always helpful and chill and the rest of the staff are always working hard at something around the store. They dont always carry the items Im looking for but for the most part they are always have stock for what they do have. The only issue Ive ever really had while there is their vegetable selection can be hit or miss sometimes, but when they have good stuff its usually for a great price.

The staff work very hard to maintain their establishment. You can see them trying their very best every, single, day. The food is fresh, well stocked, and the shopping is convenient. Considering Im not from Arizona where this store is located, I really appreciated the experience in my shopping there during my 1 year visit to the state. Keep up the great work.

A quick trip to the Mexican grocery store, a small version of the regular Food Citys. It is ok.

Great hot food. Nice selection.

Only good to shop when they have sales with the mailers and coupons. Fruits send veggies not the best quality and rot quickly. Watched a Hispanic guy set leaking meat packages on fresh vegetables. Its not much cheaper than Frys so after shopping there once I told my husband never again.

My go to grocers, feels like a mini Walmart. But better as it always has great deals on fresh produce!

Very expensive more thanSafeway or frys, the selection of products I was shopping for was poor to non existent !! Unless they have a product on sale thats a good deal I wont be shopping there again!!!

The 3 stars are for the employees. They are always great! Theyre fast, friendly, professional, & theyre always doing something. I go here often mostly out of convenience but I do appreciate the service. That being said, my problem with this store is they seem to have higher prices. I have heard other customers comment on it as well. I can go to any other store & buy way more for what I spend here & I have spent in the $100 here. I heard they up the prices because of the location (close to ASU). I believe it. Im really considering making the extra trip to another store just to pay a little less for more. Ex. I paid $220 for a cart way FULL of food at another store. Here I paid $160 for a cart that was less than half full. Hopefully they change it or have better sales. Or have a club card like other stores. Safeway I can get points & coupons & rewards. They should do something like that at least.

I love shopping here at Food City. The employees are always really nice and very hopeful. I remember last year around Christmas time I came in and something caught my eye in the deli section. So I approached the hot counter and talk to the lady about a recipe that I found on the back of the item I was looking at. She walk me around the store and told me all about the culture and the Traditions that are affiliated with that recipe. I have always been treated with respect coming into this restaurant and I love that on the weekends theres somebody grilling something good up outside. this is my neighborhood Food City so I do shop here regularly. Honestly? I have nothing but good things to say about them

If your looking for a smaller, hometown and friendly grocery store..look no farther! Food City is it! Besides having great low prices the employees give this store something to write about. The produce section is worth coming for. They have a great selection plus you cant beat the prices! I also found great value at the meat department. Theres also a bakery inside the store that has a great selection too..and the prices in the bakery are terrific also. Shop Food City if you want to save $$ and be treated like a valued customer.

I dont like the people that harbor outside of the grocery store I dont like that feels unsafe a lot of beggars and homeless people

I was very pleased with the quality and price of the produce. I bought items that were on sale. The bananas were beautiful at 33¢ lb. and I also bought watermelon, plums, peaches, cucumbers and other fresh produce. It looked as good as what I see at Sprouts or Safeway at a better price. The rest of the items are not as good of a bargain as the produce, but in line or slightly higher. Family Dollar is next door for more bargains.

Good store but over priced on a lot of stuff. Doesnt have a very good frozen section.

My go to spot for beans and rice burritos! Always sweet customer. Keep up the hard work ladies!

I love this place for fruits and vegetables for juicing. Its half the price of sprouts on most things. Everything is usually very fresh. The cashiers are super fast and know all of the vegetable and fruit numbers. You never have to wait. I recommend this Food City if you need the basics.

Fantastic deals on produce! You can buy everything you need for probably 1/3 the price of Safeway. Good place for those on a college student food budget, those in a pinch, and for those who love good deals. Its ideal for certain ingredients and snacks. 4/5 because I often find myself waiting five to ten minutes at the service window before somebody finally walks over to assist in a transaction.

Nice location. Its right next to the Metro railroad off Apache. You cant miss it. It is a smaller store, however I was still able to find everything I need. Also, since its a little bit off Rural Road, it doesnt get as much traffic, which means less of traffic when you get there.I was able to get some pretty cheap frozen meat while here. Good deal. Checkout lines werent bad at all either.

Cant believe how expensive this store is. Good sales. $5 dollars for food club ice cream is Abit much. Great customer service. And the produce guy was very helpful and kind.

Gosh was this a cool Food City. I remember going here with friends who were at the college in the area. This was back in the day when you could buy bacon for about a dollar a pack. It was the cheap bacon though. This place has stood the test of time and is a wonderful spot. Yes these places are ran by Bashes

Was talked down to and was told if i didnt ware a mask the next time i was in the store i wouldnt be served cause i didnt have a mask on.... mind yall i have a hard time breathing already due to my asthma and i did explain that to the gentalman and like he didnt even care... will not spend another $1 in that store again do to that type customer service...

Supermarket generally has a fresh selection. Ive purchased ground beef here a couple of times. And the meat is always brown on the inside. And its wrapped with fresh meat on the outer part.

This is one of the cozier and warmer Food City stores Ive been too. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is also always clean. Im a fan of this place now, for sure.

Very nice for a smaller supermarket. The deli must be good because they were doing quite the business when I was there at lunch time. Staff was very friendly and they had everything I needed. I thought the prices were fair as well.

I go here usually every single morning and purchase the same thing. This one morning I went in purchased my 2 yogurts, walked out, went back in to use restroom and when leaving was accused of stealing from the manager. I couldnt find the receipt because I usually throw away as Im walking out of store. After a few minutes of negotiating with the manager he let me go. I was humiliated to say the least and if it was not for the convenience of it literally across the street..... I would never be back.

The store at this location has been filthy. The cashiers are obnoxious, rude, and vulgar. They hate their job there. I made a complaint once. Nothing happened. The manager told me if I dont like their store and people. I should shop somewhere else. So, now I shop at Safeway on Broadway and Rural. I get high quality foods and every employee there have been gracious. I especially like their valued customer programs.

Its pretty cool prices are reasonable to somewhat of a degree. I like the sale they have on there meat and produce thats what makes it reasonable. But depending on what your getting its not a bad place to shop I like it and will be going back.
