I had a delicious cheddar cheese omelet with a toasted bagel and a large coffee for breakfast. It was a delight in a quiet, clean atmosphere.
Sat outside, enjoyed the early morning. The food was good the service exceptional
This coffee spot is inside the historic Tenafly train station! They have really good pastries, I had their croissant and it was actually one of the best I’ve had! But what really got me really hyped was their Iced Chai Latte!! This place makes it soooooooo good it’s my favorite thing there!! Please go, it is certainly worth the drive
Service is mediocre. Food is okay. Iced coffee is great. They had an issue when we asked to pull up an extra chair. Their problem solving skills are pretty lackluster. People in our party were standing for 10 minutes without chairs. Also they offered them to sit at a different table away from our party, which defies the whole purpose (there were only 4 of us).No idea why the staff have attitude or are running around like something is on fire, In my experience this means that management is to blame. The place only does well because there’s no alternative in the center of Tenafly, NJ.Overpriced for the food they serve, as it’s nothing spectacular. I was honestly was very surprised by the mediocracy. Super unfortunate. However, the iced coffee was great, really refreshing and tasty. Would get it again, but to-go. And not waste my time with the staff.
AMAZING!!! Waitress was so nice and food was impeccable! I got the smoked salmon bagel and a fruit bowl as well as a chai tea latte. All were absolutely delicious. The latte wasnt too sweet and the chai flavor was very well preserved in the coffee. The salmon on the bagel was high quality and wasnt too salty or fishy. It also came with a nice arugula salad on the side :). The fruit bowl mightve surprised me the most though! Not only was there a variety of fruit (mango, nectarines, orange, strawberries, blueberries, etc), but it was also extremely fresh. Amazing cafe and great atmosphere! Highly recommend!
I liked the overall ambience of the establishment. Courteous staff and eclectic menu too!
Great location. Very lovely place. They charged the water with lemon.
Love their ice coffee (not sweet, little almond milk, perfect)
9 bucks for small slice of chocolate mousse cake with a straight face! OMG. Maybe they thought I was a tourist.
1 hour for Salad and Breakfast sandwiche. It finally comes and its burnt and the wrong sandwiche. Stay away!!
The food and service was awesome atmosphere was great the dessert was phenomenal
Warm and relaxing atmosphere, attentive staff and good food. What else could we ask for?!
Excellent Israeli food, very fresh and the service is good.
Excellent community. Good menu. Out and in Diner.
Like the atmosphere service friendly good value
Amazing service!! I ordered the dirty oatmilk chai latte with some shakshuka, and I have never had better. I’ve come here often, and each time they outdo themselves. Good stuff! Definitely come by if you’re in the area.
Really good coffee. Great service. Good food
Visited for the first time last week. Good experience. Parking was easy. The atmosphere is modern and historic. Waitress was knowledgeable about the history as well as the food. Very friendly.Food and drink were delicious.Would visit again for sure.Had salmon bagel sticks with salad on side. Also had panini with roast beef and panini with cheese and olive. As mentioned, delicious.
Good and fresh tasting food. Try it out!
Lovely and flavorful middle eastern plates
What a cute quaint little restaurant with top-notch food at very reasonable prices. The fact that it happens to be kosher is just an additional bonus
Good hummus! I like the tree across the street too. It is a weeping willow. Also my friend Doug tried to kiss me hereThat was wackadoo. They also serve their drinks in Mason jars. Always a plus.
Decent place in Tenaflys downtown area; food beverages etc
Food is great, service is hit or miss.
“Understaffed” shouldn’t be the excuse my family should face when dining with you.
VERY flavorful food, and the old train station that its in adds charm
Amazing. Adorable, quaint cafe. Vegan and gluten free items. Awesome customer service-fast and friendly. It was so good, we literally turned around to get more coffee... and then returned the next day! Chocolate croissants-to melt for!
Angelique is my go-to brunch spot in the area (the shakshuka is yum) with great ambiance and fun old-timey music. Can’t recommend this gem of a restaurant enough!
Worst service - Eri, the manager is a joke. Doesn’t care at all about the staff or the patrons. Also the place is disgusting!
We love the place. Food options are nice, would like to see gluten free bread offered for sandwiches. The atmosphere is cheerful but wasn’t happy with our waitress, she didn’t smile one time, never came over once to see if we needed anything, we tried to get her attention to get our bill and had to eventually go over to her as she was too busy talking to the guy in the back, Claudia gets an F.
Love this place! Nicest staff, amazing coffee and breakfast
I proposed to my wife of 4 years at this location. That’s all I have to say about this location gorgeous people and place
Great service and great food always! Ari makes the best lattes ever! Hes the iconic barista and manager! Love him!
Great selection. Excellent service. Pleasant outdoor dining.
Had brunch here with a friend. Food was nice. Service was good.
I love this spot. The food is good, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere makes for great cafe conversation, and I just love love the historic architecture. I was just sad when they repainted the main dining room blue. Even though blue is my fav color, I feel it lost some of its classic charm when they took away the red. The restaurant used to have a really cozy feeling to it, that I just miss being surrounded in. Perhaps had they chosen a warmer blue hue the change wouldn’t have been as dramatic. Regardless, it’s still beautiful, still one of my fav spots.
Nice little Cafe in a beautiful town.
Good food, VERY SLOW service. But the service is friendly and some of the items on the menu are really delic so I would recommend this place!
Food is ok.
They serve big dishes and for reasonable rates. welcoming owner. Will visit again.
Amazing food. Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful employees. Cant find a bad thing to say about this place. I got the chicken and pesto sandwich with mozzarella. It was delicious. The waffles were like crumbcake it was amazing. 10/10.
Too e pe8nsive and hardly any meat in conb salad
Very nice place. The service very kind so as the food. The missing star is for missing gluten-free bread. Hopefully to visit again and find gluten-free bread and others.....
Beautiful place and ambiance! Really cool and dynamic staff, never seen a waitress as good as Rebecca, she made my family feel like we were having lunch at some old friends house. Oh and the food... I still have dreams about the food!
OUTDOOR DINING COVID REVIEWCame here for outdoor dining this past weekend. And wow their protocol for keeping you safe is very concerning. Few things I noticed... just because an employee is wearing gloves doesnt mean youre safe and doesnt mean there is no cross contamination!!! These employees are touching peoples plates and cups and everything and then going to other tables and touching their stuff too! Unless they are changing their gloves between every table (which I didnt see myself) then again... UNSAFE!!! Covid germs can easily spread!!! They leave salt and pepper shakers and sugar packets out on the table. Is that for real? The whole POINT of this new protocol of outdoor dining during covid is to PREVENT all possible chances of cross contamination. Why are salt and pepper shakers sitting out on the table for ppl to eat with their hands and touch. That’s unacceptable. And when we got there, our table had crumbs everywhere. Again, totally unacceptable. If you’re doing outdoor dining during covid you MUST be aware of where ppl have sat down and PROPERLY DISINFECT the table when the guests leave that table. Very simple. Disappointed in the attention to detail here at Cafe Angelique.Suggestion; have employees who ONLY touch dirty things as they clear tables and have employees who ONLY serve clean plates utensils etc. AND properly disinfect the table! Keep all salt and pepper off the table. If a customer wants salt and pepper then shake it for them on their food until they say stop. If they need sugar packets then bring a few out at a time at a customers request. Again, THE GOAL HERE is to prevent all possible chances of cross contamination to the best of your ability. There seems to have been zero thought put into the process here.
Its home is inside what used to be a barber shop and prior to that the town train station. It is casual and spacious. They wont bother you if you want to stay here for hours on end talking to friends. Staff is very courteous some fluent in Hebrew. Staff is also a lot nicer than those across the street at telvin
My visit was very enjoyable today. Let me share what made it enjoyable ; I ordered a fruit and cheese salad, as I had one I very much enjoyed on a previous visit, but on this occasion, the fruit was not to my liking. Our waiter was quick and very pleasant about reordering a substitute salad which was to my liking. The weather was very enjoyable dinning outside and the mature staff at Cafe Angelique certainly helped to make our day nicer.
Very good cafe.
Attractive cafe in an iconic building that used to be a train station? with outdoor seating and coffee bar with pastries and gelato.Good for brunch and coffee in a unique setting!Service needs improvement.
Great food safe and very healthy
Absolutely amazing and the best part is their consistency. Its amazing everytime we go and the foods always fresh, the service is always top notch!
Tasty food and desserts. The service is kind and speedy. If you are in the area it is worth checking out for breakfast and lunch. The location is also very cool. Its an old train station in the heart of Tenafly.
The absolute Best mochachino in the land ! Complete with their signature heart shaped foam milk topping...yuuum !!!
Such a cool place ! Great coffee and the food menu can hold you over. Good for a quick bite and drink in a historic looking building. Had some gluten free food options amongst a large variety of scrumptious homemade pastries, which is always a perk!
My family cannot get enough of their chicken curry wraps !
This place is good the food is good. They serve almond milk and a great variety of desserts. However it can take quite some to get your check, I visited on a Sunday and the place is crowded. Families gather for Sunday brunch and has a nice vibe.
Crazy love the latte....an insane addiction hot or cold. The scones and croissants are heavenly too. Initially we frequented because we wanted to socialize our pups. There is outdoor seating. These days, sometimes there is service, other times not. 3 shout outs to Daniel, Sara, Vanessa and Gina for always making us feel welcomed.
Its okay. We went for dinner and it was quiet (maybe two other couples). Most of the items on the menu were not available. Its more of a cafe place so maybe its better during the day. Since most of the items werent available i had an egg turkey bacon and cheddar cheese toast (croissant wasnt in stock). My boyfriend had a chicken pesto sandwich. It was empty and the waitresses were either on their phone or sitting down talking about randomness. Cool place in a train station and nice decor but i cant speak to the rest of the menu and service.
Cute idea as they took an old train station and converted it into a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good, with spices throughout. Best is for brunch especially during the summer.
Mediocre. Not fresh either. I ordered a salad and asked for grilled chicken. They put that fake cut into cube cold chicken. Not grilled. Not good. Disappointing. Over priced for food I can get from subway. (The fake chicken)
I love this place. So pretty and tasty
Amazing food and staff! Friendly environment with outstanding pastries and dessert. Highly recommend!
Food is barely eatable, served us cold Burekas and the service is so much below averageAll kids working here and inexperienced
Amazing little place. Great atmosphere, great food, affordable. It really felt like a little European Cafe.
Awesome coffee shop! My coffee was perfect! ...and that doesnt always happen for me since I have a very specific order.
Great food and great service. I enjoy this cafe.
Coffee served cold. Instead of pouring a new one they heated up the cup and that was disgusting. The tuna salad served way too cold right from the refrigerator. Only thing was good was the bread and butter. Will choose the next door cafe next time. Its cheaper and better.
Love this place. Good food, nice to sit outside. Most of the time the service is good.
Exactly what I needed after a 12 hour shift of work - from the food display to the courteous service, I loved how perfect everything was. To make things better, the food was delicious, healthy, and fresh. I had a croissant, americano, and a chicken red pepper sandwich for breakfast + a lemonade to go. Definitely will be coming back for more. P.S. It helped that pretty much all the music playing in the background is in my favorite playlist
Perfect place for breakfast ! Food is delicious!
Cute place, coffee is great and has a large sort menus of pastries. Its a bit on the expensive side white a medium/small latte costing $4. But really nice in the summer with its outdoor seating.
Pricey, not worth the food you pat for. The service is also not very good. Some servers are nice but other need to learn how to smile more and earn their tip
Most rustic and cute place, crazy expensive.
Great iced latte and iced tea. They brew the tea leaf and pour it over ice. The borekas are very fresh and tasty. The counter staff was fun and helpful and the charm of the place leaves you feeling you are transported back to Europe.
Inside and outside seating if the weather permits. I consider this cafe to be more geared towards people who like to have healthier food. That doesnt mean the food tastes bad, by no means, the food tastes great. A tad bit on the pricier side but worth it. The interior of the eating area matches with the name of the cafe, at least to me it does. From the outside before entering this place it looks like its a small train station rather than a cafe. A neat cafe to experience if in the area.
Cute little cafe with a big menu, including vegan and gluten free options
The Angelique Cafe is located in an old train station in Tenafly. The food and coffee were very good. Service was very good and price was very reasonable.
One of the best cafe in bergen county. Good coffee and tasty food. Their Mediterranean foods are vertical tasty. Also, their deserts are fantastic too.
Cute historic place, turn to coffee shop boutique.Great ambience.Good food at great prices. Service can be little slow at times, but overall its a nice place to meet and catch up with friends.
Nice old railroad station caffe. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere.
Quick and friendly service. Reasonably priced, really good iced coffee.
I love it, great food, great service, a place to relax, enjoy a good conversation with coffee o any drink...
Over price hot spot.Cute in an old rail depotNo refills on coffee.Indifferent table service
EXCELLENT Cafe... the guy that is behind the counter when we usually go in is a wonderful person.God bless them
