I was all psyched up to bring my truck in today for service. In the past, I’ve had a great experiences with sales staff, but service has been horrible, so I absolutely dreaded and even felt anxious about coming in for service. I’ve brought my truck in twice for scheduled services, only to have the service advisor be rude and not even take in my 2 month old vehicle to look at, saying it will either cost me a fortune out of pocket (without even looking at the truck) or it’s something he’s never heard of (again, acting too busy to even look at the truck and refusing to service it). He always seemed disinterested, unengaged, and frankly, too busy for me.I went to another GM dealership locally who honors the same service contract, but found out the warranty has a 50 mile radius clause where it had to be serviced by the dealer I purchased it at if I’m within 50 miles of the dealership. I considered running it to Indianapolis, but the service contract company told me TH Chevrolet were the ones that would have to approve the repairs, so I was pretty stuck.Today, I brought it in and had a different service advisor, Sarah! Right off the bat, Sarah was completely upbeat and positive. Not only did she take the time to listen to me, she thoroughly explained the process and steps to get everything resolved. By the end of the appointment, she even recognized me and called me by name when she saw me in the lobby!As it turned out, the vehicle I purchased had a hole in the condenser, which Sarah said was completely covered by the vehicles warranty. They found the problem right away and put me in a brand new loaner vehicle with absolutely no hassle. She was upbeat and positive the entire appointment, which I am so grateful for especially in today’s society. I’m so glad to have met Sarah and have her as my advisor!
If you are looking for a stress free and honest car shopping experience I highly recommend Terre Haute Chevrolet and Cameron Drake. I purchased a 2018 Subaru Forester Touring and the process was actually exciting and not at all stress inducing. I called ahead and they had the vehicle ready for me when I arrived. Took it for a test drive and knew this was the vehicle I’ve been looking for for months. We returned and started talking numbers. They were up front about all fees and willing to work with me to get where I needed to be financially. I never felt like things were being hidden from me and they were MORE than fair about my trade in. We had been to five other dealerships in the last 6 months and they all tried cheating me out of my trade by saying “my car was no good for anything but auction for parts.” It was a 2013 Kia Soul with 160k miles on it but I kept it in good condition and Terre Haute Chevrolet recognized that and did right by me. The tires were about ready to retire on my new to me Subaru so they worked with me to make that right so I could get new tires. Nothing extra was pushed on me. There was some paperwork with my old car that had to be cleared up but they handled it quickly and efficiently. My husband couldn’t believe what a great experience it was and said this would be our new dealership to stay loyal too.
My father was visiting from Arizona and we went looking at newer trucks as he needs a 4x4 where he lives. The staff was polite, obedient about wearing a mask, and just a great overall experience! The best part was the he is driving his new Dodge 4x4 home as he left early this morning. So thank you to everyone at Terre Haute Chevrolet!!!!!
I just purchased a new car here a few days ago. My salesperson was Paul, and he was amazing from start finish! I live out of state and he was able to accommodate everything over the phone and when I arrived at the dealership everything was ready to go! I not once ever got the “scummy car salesman” vibe from him. He made it such an easy process and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. We were lucky enough to deal with Mary H on helping us being able to buy this, she was great all the way to getting in the vehicle before we left and helping us in setting up everything and then going over all the controls and how they work, she is an asset to the dealership.
Bought a New car there and was told I can get my service done at my local chevy dealer. I was told when the factory warranty ran out I had to do all my service there to keep my lifetime power train warranty. Come to find out I had to do all my service from the day I bought it.

Appointment scheduled online on August 29th for Saturday Oct. 2nd at 9:30am. Options chosen were oil change/tire rotation and brake pad replacement. The day before my appointment, I was called and informed that the dealership does not work on brakes on Saturday and wanted to cancel my appointment. Since I still needed an oil change, I opted to get that completed on Saturday with no brake work. 30 minutes before my appointment, I was called and asked to delay my appointment until later in the day because they were overbooked for the day, citing an issue with the online booking sites recognition of available capacity.I attempted to reschedule my brake pad replacement since, understandably, weekends are not an option for this particular service. When I asked about being able to use a loaner vehicle for the day (necessary in my situation if I am leaving a vehicle for a few hours on a weekday), I could not get a straight answer on whether or not one would be available for me to use.The service I received once my vehicle was in the dealership was fine as usual (8-yr customer, no other complaints), but the scheduling situation leaves a lot to be desired. Due to the lack of flexibility for scheduling brake pad replacement, I will need to look elsewhere for this work unfortunately.

Took a car for a test drive last month and it konked out less than a block away and had to be pushed off the road by the dealership. Prior to test drive, the car died and I gave them the benefit of the doubt anyways. Salesperson seemed indifferent and not very focused on helping us. While I understand things happen, it put a very bad taste in our mouth with this dealership. If you are buying a used car, any year, it is always important to have it checked by a third party mechanic prior to buying, as the dealership showed us a receipt for nearly $4000 on work they had done that didnt fix the problem.
It was good that the dealership called me to remind me that my service was due. All work completed with no complaints. Thank you

Service adviser stated it would take a day or two for them to get back and would call us back with the answer. A week later, I contacted them and the service adviser was not there. They send me over to a service manager. I ask if they got an answer from GM and immediately he got defensive in my question. Not sure if it was miscommunication or what, but he was very rude on the phone. I wanted an answer to my simple question and it took about 5 minutes of back and forth to get my answer.That will be the only and last car I buy there as I have had nothing but issues with the service department due to failure of communication. Its always my service adviser is not there and that they have no idea what is going on. No idea why they cannot look up the account and tell you without having to wait for someone to get back. Its not hard to make notes so when someone calls, you can find out the information and relay it to your customer. Almost every modern customer service platform does that. Being rude on the phone for asking for an update on a request is just not called for.
Their service department is a joke!! The salesmen are great. I have bought 3 different vehicles from here. But the service department is ridiculous. I have been waiting 3 days now for a call back. And every time I call, all I get is oh Im sorry their busy, would you like to leave a message for a call back. Ask for a Manger, oh well he cant talk either, hes in a meeting. Of course he is. They can sell you a vehicle but forget trying to get them to service one.Definitely taking my business elsewherr.

I was having on-going problems with the brakes squealing and ABS Fault warning on my 2007 Colorado. After analyzing the issues, my service rep quoted me $980 to fix the issues, which turned out to be a rear drum that needed some TLC and 2 speed sensors that needed replaced. On Wednesday, 7/28/21 (I was out of town on business so), my wife picked up the repaired truck (after service department was closed). The final bill was a little over $1,000.While exiting the parking lot, my wife applied the brakes, which hesitated (like it has for the past year) and the ABS Fault warning light came on. My wife drove to our house (approx. 14 miles away) and the ABS Fault warning light is still on.I called the service department rep and left voicemail messages twice on Thursday, 7/29/21...no return call. I called the service department rep and left a voicemail again on Friday, 7/30/21...no return call. I called the service department manager on 7/30/21 and the receptionist said he was with a customer and would call me back when he was available and... you guessed it...no return call.I understand people are busy and I understand you already got my $ so my issue is obviously a low priority, but in my mind Customer Service doesnt end after you swipe my credit card. I spent over $1,000 and still have a vehicle that is unsafe and unfixed.Do I expect a dealership reaction to this review? No. Do I expect the issue to be fixed without me having to pull out my wallet? No. I only rated the situation 2 stars because the estimate was close to the final cost and the check-in process was smooth when I dropped the truck off. Exceptionally disappointing experience.UPDATE: I contacted the dealership to see if they would check the the on-going issue and was told that, basically, they can fix one thing, then when something else pops up, they fix that too. Against my better judgement, I took my truck back to Terre Haute Chevrolet and finally got a call back from the General Manager (the repair tech was unavailable to call me). Long story short: After paying another $400+, my wife picked up the truck and all was well. I returned from a business trip and drove the truck for the first time on 8/28/21. Less than 100 yards from my driveway, the ABS Fault light came on. I texted the General Manager, who invited me to bring the truck back in. Apparently, I didnt learn the first time, but DID learn the second time. I assure you, I will never darken your doorstep again.Additionally, (and my wife didnt tell me this part until a week or so after we had the first repair completed): when she went to the dealership to pay for the initial repair and pick up the truck, the receptionist was extremely condescending, and made a pathetic comment about not accepting debit cards because we probably didnt have enough money on the card to cover the cost. FYI: our debit card, as the receptionist called it, is linked directly to our checking account...we had enough $ in the account to cover the cost and its not the receptionists place to make that call, even before running the card. Pathetic customer service in ALL departments.
I had my car towed on Monday 7-12-21 to Terre Haute Chevy. On Wednesday 7-14-21 it was suppose to be fixed, I had a shuttle pick me up at work and take me to Chevy. I paid $708.00 and went to go start it, the same problem was going on. I was given a loaner truck to use and was told they were not sure what the problem was. It is now Friday 7-16-21 and I havent heard anything from them. I brought this car in January of 2021 and I still owe alot on this car, and I brought it from TH Chevy. I sure hope that it can be fixed in a timely manner and not cost alot more as I am a senior citizen and only one working in my family. If you knew this was not a good car it should not have been on lot to sell. Thank-you for listening.
I signed up for the life time warranty. I live 4 1/2 hours away and so far both times i have called to schedule routine maintenance such has oil change and or fuel filter maintenance. Both times now it has either not been done or not completely relayed to the maintenance department. So when you arrive it seems like you are a huge inconvenience to the maintenance department. They act grumpy and or like they don’t want to be there. If the rule is I have to have all services completed at the Terre Haute dealership or void my life warranty than why make it to the point where it’s almost not worth the inconvenience or to feel like and inconvenience ?
Was worried when I got the car back that it started up odd, after I was told to drive it around for the next day or two, and was given a card for the manager to call if any anything came up, I knew at that point I was in good hands! Thank you terre haute Chevy

First, Id like to mention that my 10 year old daughter actually wanted to come along because she knew how comfy the surroundings were in the waiting area from prior visits for oil changes and routine maintenance on my vehicle. Even though she knew we had a 2-3 hour wait! She said she loves the free soda, ability to charge her phone 🤣, and the nice people. So we stayed!!Dustin Hatcher, the assistant service manager, handled this matter on my blazer like a pro! He was awesome. He went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I were pleased that day. From bringing my daughters blanket to her because she was cold in the waiting room, to keeping me posted on how my blazer was coming along. Great Job Dustin!Kevin Cauble, the general manager, was a pleasure to meet. He was so kind and wanted to make sure we were being taken care of and if we needed anything, to please let him know. The last 2 times I have been in for repair the service was not completed fully as asked. My last service on 4-5 I requested oil change, DEF fluid add, and check left rear tire for loosing air. When I picked my truck up I asked specifically if the DEF fluid was added and told yes. When I went to leave my diagnostic message read I had 200+ miles before out of DEF fluid. I checked the service bill and it hadnt been done. Why the service tech couldnt have seen the same message I saw when he moved my truck baffles me.As I notes this is the second incident in a row but not all of my bad experiences.I am no longer a customer of Terre Haute Chevrolet.
I took my car for an oil change, after I left my car started having difficulty moving from park in to gear. I was continuously told it would cost over $100 just to diagnose. Finally got someone to agree to look at it without the fee. Since.the issue didnt start until AFTER I left from the oil change, and I thought it had a warranty. When I took my car to get checked, they couldnt find a problem. My car is continuing to give me issues.

I called and asked about my warranty and if they could tell me if a fuel injector was covered in my warranty. The lady was rude and told me I would have to bring it in so they could look at it. She said if it wasnt covered they would charge me $150 just to see if it was covered. Very disappointed!!

I came in to take a look at a 2007 Honda CR-V shown on the website and Cameron Drake was quick to help me. He was professional, polite, and very personable. He quickly gave me all the info I needed and the final price on the car with taxes and fees, and was honest and straight to the point with my questions. He was also honest to admit if he didn’t know the info, which I appreciate. Within an hour I had test driven the car and Cameron had printed out the car history and info for me. There was no nonsense or pressure to make a decision. Cameron followed up with a phone call a few days later as he said he would. Although the car got sold day after I came in to look at it (someone else was bound to move quickly on it with that reasonable price), I’ll be keeping an eye out here see what if any other older model CR-Vs pass through in the next few weeks thanks to Cameron’s great service.

Appointment was at 9:30 am, didnt hear from the service until 5:20 pm.... I bought the car new in 2012. The heater and air conditioner blend door was found to be broken and they estimated $2300 for the repair, wanting to take the entire car apart including the windshield and entire dash. Part is priced as an $18 dollar plastic part. So the profit is $2282 to fix this. The problem is a CHRONIC problem with GM, if you own a GM from 2009 to 2014 at least and keep it long enough you will run into this. GM should recall the vehicle and pay for the labor. DESIGN FLAW.

Everything took way longer than expected. The communication was poor. Service techs run the show. One refused to work on my car after I had to wait on him to show up to work to bring it back in to fix the job he did the week before. I felt bad for the managers.

Hello all, this group of people work hard for your business. I wanted a new truck and reached out to them and asked if they could find or build the one I wanted. Within a week this group found me the exact vehicle I wanted, and had it at the dealership. Also, they allowed me to fill out all the applications online and literally within 7 days I was driving off with my new Colorado. Having worked at a dealership, I know most reviews you’ll see are nasty about them but keep in mind these are people who are “usually” looking for a “cheap” used vehicle. You get what you buy. It’s not the dealership, sales associates, or managers fault they CHOSE to buy a used vehicle that’s going to have it’s problems. This group will not take advantage of you, just ask the questions up front and be honest about what you are wanting. With all that said, this group is great and I highly recommend them.

I had been in contact with the dealership about a truck, on line and through email. I couldnt get any response back after over two weeks of trying. Today is 12/12/20, I made contact on 12/3/20. Michaela is who I was emailing with, and got no response. Today I called the main number as i havent been able to get in contact with Michaela and found out the truck sold on 12/7/20. Worst dealer, I have ever tried to do business with.

That is not how I wanted to spend my day, had to cancel other appointments due to the failed communication of service center and slow auto tech. Been doing business with them for many years and the service has gone down hill. I hope they can get back on track.

Dropped off Sunday night for a scheduled oil change and recall on Monday. Although it was annoying that there were complications with billing when I picked up, the fact that the oil life monitor was not reset and car wasnt washed, as a previous review stated, after being there the ENTIRE day is more annoying. Chevrolet has a standard....which they clearly didnt meet. Wont be going back.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. We took our car to Terre Haute Chevy to have some repairs done on a Sunday, but we were out of town for the week so we couldn’t pick it up Monday when it was finished. Instead of just leaving the car be in the parking area, they decided that it’d be ok to take it out on a little joy ride throughout the week (WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION) while we were gone. By the time we came to pick it up they had put 400 miles on the car. We dropped it off with 93,324 miles and when we picked it up it had 93,725 miles on it!! The only decent thing they did was put fuel back in the car because once again we left it with a quarter tank and came back to a half a tank of gas. This isn’t the first time this has happened to us in our experience at Chevy and with that being said this will be the last time that it happens to us. Our business at Terre Haute Chevy is over. We will not be coming back.

Took vehicle in for oil change on Thursday, noticed oil in the driveway, it doesn’t seem that the technician tightened the oil filters and/or nut and now I have stains in the driveway. I hope sycamore Chevy will warrantee their work.
The only complaint I would have is that the appointment was set for 12 and they didnt get to me until 1:30.
The gentleman that assisted me during my visit made the time to answer all of my questions and provided excellent customer service.

I requested an oil change and tire rotation. The oil change was completed and I was notified that my tires need to be replaced. My car was washed which was a nice surprise.

I have always went to Cadillac i own a Escalade Esv. Prior I owned a Traverse. I have always went to Cadillac sometimes I felt somethings were not done to standards but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Then I bought my escalade and I bought a warranty for tires and windows. They would fix or replace a tire depending on outcome. I went there 4 times over the same tire they said they would fix it but kept moving it to other sides of the car . I knew ir was the same tire finally I got fed up and went to Chevy and spoke to Will. He didnt wanna go over their job or do the paperwork because he figured thats why Cadillac did what they did. He took my car in and found out they fixed the side wall which they should have replaced and my insurance would cover it. Will called and asked about the paperwork and he ordered the tire. He also said I needed to get them all to match since they were older. So I bought 3 and had my 1 free with Insurance. Will said paperwork was easy and he would take care of me in the future! Thanks Will for going above and beyond for your customers!
