Really like all Menards stores. Like so many places, Im guessing theyre short-handed as I have to look for help sometimes. But still like the store, the prices, the rebates, the quality.Ive been vaccinated but still wear my mask inside to protect myself and others, and appreciate when others do, too.

Just like any other menards. They have help that dont help. Was wanting carpet but the person at counter would not approach us. Same thing on the doors i wanted. I couldnt get help to put on cart to buy, Left there and spent $3800 at lowes.

Seen an opened box containing a tool box. Pulled it out to see if it would work for what I was looking for and set it back on the shelf to get one that was not already open. As I was looking for other items a loss prevention employee comes up to me in street clothes and tells me that he seen me open the first box and they could charge me with theft for doing it. Then said that they would also charge me with trespassing when I told him that the box was already opened and he could see that I had the same product in the cart I had. He did not say anything to the manager on duty but left afterwards. I went to the customer service desk and talked to the manager and was informed that the guy was a loss prevention employee and his shift had just ended after he confronted me. With the attitude I received from the LP employee, I will not be patronizing any Menards store again. The items I went in to purchase that day have since been purchased from Lowes or other stores.

Why they keep water outside this hot temperature like 90 degrees

I currently work at this establishment so my review may have some bias, but the service I’ve received here while simply shopping has been top notch. The employees are all educated on their specific area of work and very helpful. There is a strict mask mandate, but notices are posted throughout the store telling customers one is needed upon entry. Masks are also provided up front at service for those who are in need of one. Our security politely gives warnings to those not obeying store mask mandates and then escorts those out who do not obey. It’s pretty simple do not enter if you refuse to wear a mask. Other than that the shopping experience here is easy, simple, and pleasant.

As a contractor I spend a lot of time in stores just like this. Its not my first choice. My wife likes it. The 11% rebate is awesome on big material purchases though. Its a nice little kick back, would be nice as cash instead of a gift card though. Just saying. Good news is there is a menards nearly everywhere!

Dirty tricks! I was told by two Menard’s employees that they would deliver for free within 15 miles, and it would cost $80 to install, which I paid. The morning of delivery, they said the $80 was just to deliver on my porch. It would be an extra $80 to install and an extra $80 to move my old appliances to my garage. So, $240 delivery fees? I don’t think so. They would no make it good, so my husband is left to install and remove on his own.

When you ask an employee where something is an their response is I have no idea and walks away and doesnt try to get another person to try and help you its not a good thing. I could list several things that happened my last few visits but its just easier to post I go elsewhere now.

I like shopping at Menards.I do wish, however, they would loosen up and follow the COVID guidelines set by our governor. From the onset, they have been way too strict with the mask mandate.Yesterday, I wore mine into the store and all throughout the inside. However, when I went outside to the garden center, I took it off while I heaved ten bags of dirt at 25 pounds each onto one of their low, platform carts.Side note: I happen to be a 60-year old woman! A day earlier, I got my first batch of dirt and a young man noticed me as I was deciding what I wanted. He got off the fork lift he was driving and loaded four of those along with four other bags at 50 lbs each.Back to yesterday. I failed to remember that my mask was off as I pushed the 250 pound cart back toward the doors to the inside of Menards. An employee from the garden center, though nice about it, made sure I was dressed once again like a surgeon.Good grief, people. I can get my groceries without wearing a mask. Why cant I buy dirt with my face showing? Besides, most people have taken to wearing masks only to appear compliant. The majority have their noses exposed and others just wear their mask around their chin!!Still, I will continue to shop at Menards.

Got what I needed and employees were very helpful

Im so glad we have an alternative to shop from Lowes, Ace, and Home Depot. But I find it very unpleasant to have to file receipts via mail to get the discounts. I know this is a tactic to build return loyal customers. And it makes people happy to save money. But it seems to me that loyal customers could be had by having consistently lower prices.

The store was clean and bright, everything I was shopping for I found with ease. The garden section was the only place I noticed that was in need of restocking the yard tools specifically shovels rakes. Friendly staff, quality products.

We purchased 80 edgers for our landscaping..My husband & I was loading themWe had just got started.. when a very nice young man on a fork truck came up & offered to help... We are both in our 60s & handicapped..This young man name was Scott... We so appreciate the kindness... Thank you again Scott

You asked. I was specifically interested in the lower tube section on a chain link fence. Say approx. (1/1/8 ) diameter. Your staff after several, several minutes proceeded to point and remark outside that door to the left. Upon going there as directed, I found no bottom but top sections. After looking all over, asking other staff, following their pointing I still did not find the needed (2) 10 ft sections. / I proceeded to LOWES -TH found the sections tied them on and proceeded home. Chicken house yard fencing project. That is todays young and mentality training. Retired (25) years since age (53) now (78). I guess you call it ( the Peter Principal, look it up.tks

Delivery due Monday, checked in Sunday evening around 7:30 pm and was taken in right away and unloaded in about 10 minutes! 😁 Palletized flooring.

This is regarding the North Terre Haute store. I used to brag about Menards, and try to persuade people to shop at Menards instead of the competition. I used to say, You can ask an employee in light bulbs where a hand tool is, and that employee will walk you to it. Not so much anymore. Today I went in, and asked someone where something was, and the employees response was, I have no idea, youll have to ask someone else. I bought multiple items, totaling over $200, and I think there were two items that rang up what the price tag said. I ended up walking straight to customer service and returning most of it. In the electrical section, I could not go by price, I had to just guess because not a single item I found was in the right spot. I pulled out one bin of waterproof outlet covers, and every single cover in the bin had a different SKU. During my previous visit to by a Shop Vac and accessories, I had a very similar experience in terms of customer service, and item misplacement. I will be taking my business to Lowes for the long term future, because the way Menards is choosing to do business is unacceptable. It is not just the in store experience. It is the extreme cost saving measures that Menards is taking. Menards used to have a very large selection of brands to choose from. But now, its essentially the store brand, and one brand name.

I find it funny that even though Indiana law has lifted the mask mandate Menards insists on making their customers wear masks and if you dont have one theyll gladly sell you one for 42¢. Of course other stores give them to you for free. I know Menards is not so hard up that they have to sell masks one by one.

The main reason we went to Menards was to purchase floor tiles. They had a nice selection, and even though they didnt have enough tiles in stock for the first two designs we chose, they did have enough for our third choice. The Employees were very helpful when we asked and they have plenty of parking. They have a lot of variety for lighting too! We will have to go back for our next project.

Outside worker was helpful sending me to the correct area I needed to pick up my lumber.

We are remodeling our new home and they have most the stuff we need . Not everyone you talk to know there stuff but for the most part they are knowledgeable and nice .

Was shopping for my kids bedroom—wearing a mask. Overheard a worker there say he was looking for a non mask person. I seen a person like that.Asked the worker if he was looking for a person not wearing a mask.This guy was with a tall security guard. Well instead of being nice he started yelling at me. Then kicked me out. His name is Bill and he is the store manager.That is sad. He started accusing me of another person who spit in his face. Bill being the store manager is concerning.I also called their corporate office.

$1.27 (with tax) for a single 12×12 porcilin tile is a great price. Im using it for a heated barrier between microwave and air fryer. Which I highly recommend for people with limited space.

Terrible customer service! The general manager BILL is as rude as they get. Will not shop here anymore. I also see other reviews of Bill and people saying how rude he is and nothing is getting done. So weird. Go to lowes they have way better people skills. I give 0 stars

Had just what we wanted after looking several places where it should have been. Would like to get things built in the USA, would be nice.

Went to Lowe’s before here as we are remodeling our kitchen and back patio.... Lowe’s is a joke. Two employees were eager to help me find the tile I needed and even loaded it in my car. The gentleman Daniel helped me find the drywall I needed to fix a hole in the wall. Very nice looking young man. Only thing I will say is there no one ever to help with faucets. Had to go to the guys that helped me with me tile several times as the people helping me kept walking away. The cashiers are usually on their phones through the transaction. Kind of irritating as they act like ur not there... and EW Masks

Pick up door employees are slowest ever seen took 20 minutes to get wire that was just inside their door..On top of that sent a young girl out to load steel posts....allow plenty of time if you are getting something ordered...they like to stand with each other inside and talk instead of filling pickup orders

Most departments have at least one person who really knows what they are doing. The checkout lines are typically pretty quick, and the store is always pretty clean.

Got some flooring. Assistance wasnt exactly jumping to help but when asked was very helpful. No problems.Note* Pretty strict on masks. Take that as you will.

I turned in a substantial rebate from materials I bought to build an addition. I emailed the rebate company and asked for the status. No reply. I checked the online portal and the rebate doesnt show up. I called the store and they said they cant do anything about it, and they dont have a phone number to inquire about rebates. It has been over 2 months and nothing. At this point I have to Assume the rebate is not coming. I have received rebates that I mailed in after the missing one.

Its fine just dont go there much we shop mostly south of Terre Haute and we go to Lowes since its in the neighborhood

I wanted to share my experience today at the North Menards. I am moving and was in need of some items however, the movers were at my condo packing my belongings. Basically, I was racing the movers but had to have these before they arrived. I called Menards and spoke to Perry. I explained my situation and the urgency to him and told him I was on my way but didnt have time to shop. He is AMAZING! He found my items (even though they werent all in his department) and had them waiting for me. He helped make a very stressful situation much better and I cannot be more grateful! Thank you so much Perry! You are a wonderful employee and Menards should be happy to have you working for their company! 😊

I was at both Terre Haute locations! The new South location was clean, friendly and very helpful! Fast service and a pleasant to shop at!The North store was very slow service! Ordered something online and paid for it! Went to get it and very slow service! Waited 30 minutes to pick it up! Pulled up and had to call twice before we got someone to bring our order out to us ☹️

Overall, a good shopping experience. Store is clean and the cashier was very courteous. Sometimes, I dont like bagging my own purchase. I had a lot of smaller items from various departments and it took a while to bag.I always feel rushed and that I am slowing down the customers behind me in line.

Menards is my favourite place to get tool and things for home improvement. Everyone is always very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been a loyal customer of Menards for over 15 years and will continue to be loyal to them. They have an awesome line of Masterforce Tool Boxes. I have purchased 2 of the large ones. Dan in lumber was very knowledgeable and helpful. Only 4 starts because I couldnt find my lumber in their lumber yard.

Lumber is super high,Lowes is cheaper. Went to lighting department nothing is in order on the shelves and the lights on the ceiling is not what is on the shelves and the ones on the shelves are not on the ceiling and could not find any help in that department was there over an hour....very disappointed

Good store but didnt have what I was looking for.

Two years ago we moved back to TH from Texas. In getting settled in our new home we spent thousands of dollars at Menards - yard tools, shelving, lawn furniture, etc. The first of this year, when having some improvements done inside, I ordered an expensive light fixture for the dining room and picked it up when it came in. When contractor unpacked to install, was found to have a plate that could only be installed on a flat ceiling, not a sloped ceiling as needed. Made a quick trip to the south store (where I had ordered it) and was told that even though I planned to buy an instock fixture to replace it because of time restraint, there would be a 25% restocking fee! The clerk at the return desk was very nice and called the manager to see if it could be waived. I had never been told of this fee, though, yes, it was there in the tiniest print buried at the very bottom of the receipt that there might be a fee charged. The manager was rude, would not look me in the eye, refused to consider that I hadnt been told that the fixture required a flat ceiling nor that there was a restocking fee, or that it said there might be a fee, and said I could take it or leave it. I then went to Lowes and bought a fixture I love and have vowed to never return to Menards, a vow I intend to keep.

It was terrible. Though wearing my mask properly, as I watched the checker ring up my purchases, she rudely yelled at me to get out of her covid safe space, and kept elaborating on how terrible I was! Had she asked me to move forward politely, there would have been no problem. The rudeness was not necessary. Then, when I went to return my cart in the parking lot, a male employee had his mask off, was hiding in the cart shed, playing on his phone, with his mask off! I told him that if they were going to act like covid police, he needed his mask on. He put the mask on and I told him how rudely I was treated inside the store. He GLARED at me, refused to take my complaint, and walked away without saying a word. I will drive south several miles to go to Lowes from now on.

New job positions at Menards. Mask patrol. God forbid you need to take a breath in this place for a second. Also cashiers cant ring you up if your mask isnt on perfectly, bc supervisors watch them on cameras. If they brake that rule, allegedly they can be fired. I get its a mandate, ok fine. But dont jump down a persons throat when they need to take a second to breathe.

Need to train their staff to actually help customers instead of hiding. My 63 year old husband had to load concrete bags by himself while 3 young kids were stacking 1 boards in the shade. Not one of them asked he needed any help.Everytime I go in the store I have to find a worker and then they dont know what I need or what I am even talking about.

The store is so large and well stocked. I spent an hour or more shopping.Everyone were wearing masks and the cars were wiped down by someone at the cart corral.The staff were friendly and helpful.They are having a rebate program right now and many items are discounted.I brought my truck but I new my Boss would get mad if I spent too much money😉And dont forget, if you like this review please press the like button!

Steer clear. I was lied to repeatedly by Trisha, manager of building supplies. If I were you I would find somewhere else to make your purchases. I purchased some paneling from this store and when I picked them up they couldnt find the fasteners and then charged me 25% ($50.00) to return. I have never had a similar issue dealing with Lowes or Home Depot. I wont be back to this store thats for sure.

Not only do they price gouge during hard times but shopping carts now prevent the spread if covid. Just ask the rental guard at the front he will tell you. Even though 8 and under in Indiana does not require a mask a cart now cures all.

They have just about everything you need for your home & lawn projects & then some. Sadly, many stores are having trouble keeping pressure treated lumber on hand. Thus the price is subject to the good ol supply & demand.

I am not sure how to write this because I come from a long line of Menards shoppers. Up until now have been pleased with my experiences there. My first time to come in and exchange a mower I bought the same day actually just a few short hours prior they would not exchange or return. Because of the products agreement with menards. That is not told or produced for the customer to make a decision on weather to buy. Especially when you get it home put it together and will not start make a sound of any kind. And all they can offer is a number at this. And who knows when we will get a call back from the voicemail I left especially at this time. Now Im stuck with a mower that doesnt work and now paying someone to mow my grass.

Ordered something online and paid for 2 day shipping... here it is day 5 and still dont have my order. Called and after giving them a punch of different numbers they still couldnt even find my order said to try asking the south store....you can bet the money is already out of my account tho.

This store has gone downhill for two years. Basic parts not in stock, shelves are disorganized and small bins in plumbing and electrical are horribly mixed up. Chase, the store manager actually blamed the customers. The lack of knowledge of the department help and pitiful expectations of management promise to drive this store into the ground. Worth it to drive to Lowes. Youre going to end up there anyway.

I dont think I have ever had a bad experience at Menards. I can always find someone to help me if I cant find what Im looking for. Their customer service is terrific and thats what counts! I had Jason Parker help me in the store the other day and he was extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely go back to him and Menards. Thank you.
